Indonesia has temporarily restricted access to xAI’s flagship chatbot amid growing criticism

Indonesia has blocked Elon Musk’s Grok AI over growing concerns that the chatbot facilitates the creation of deepfake pornographic content.

The move by the country’s Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs makes the Southeast Asian nation the first to temporarily ban access to the AI tool.

Grok has come under scrutiny globally after reports emerged that the chatbot can generate erotic deepfakes from photographs, including images of minors. Some regulators have since opened inquiries into sexualized content produced by the app, which was developed by xAI.

Indonesia, home to the world’s largest Muslim population, enforces strict rules banning material deemed to be obscene.

“The government views non-consensual sexual deepfakes as a serious violation of human rights, dignity, and citizens’ security in the digital space,” Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid said, describing the misuse of AI to create fake pornography as a form of “digital-based violence.”

Hafid added that Grok’s future in Indonesia, one of the world’s largest social media markets, will depend on X’s willingness to implement robust content filters and adhere to ethical AI standards. Officials from X have been summoned for talks.

On Thursday, the European Commission ordered X to preserve all documents and data related to the Grok chatbot until the end of 2026. The precautionary move, taken under the EU’s Digital Services Act, is intended to prevent the loss of evidence amid concerns over potentially illegal content.

In the UK, The Telegraph reported earlier this week that X could face a possible block over pornographic content generated by Grok. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has reportedly referred the issue to media regulator Ofcom, with options said to include a full ban.

Earlier this month, French prosecutors opened a probe into the alleged spread of sexually explicit deepfakes generated by Grok after hundreds of people reported their photos had been digitally “undressed.”

Musk’s AI venture has faced mounting controversy since the launch of Grok 4 in July 2025, with critics pointing to extremist rhetoric, a political bias and sexualized features as evidence of inadequate safeguards. Experts warn that poorly moderated AI tools risk exposing users, particularly children, to harmful content.

I arrived in Bucharest after taking the Orient Express from Budapest, Hungary. In pre-Communist times, that train epitomized capitalist decadence. In the Soviet era, the lavish cuisine was replaced by far more attentive service — more or less. Armed guards in Transylvania repeatedly searched my cabin and then locked me inside it so my Western ideas would not contaminate any devout Commies. The train arrived in Bucharest four or five hours behind schedule.Let’s hope Mamdani is not relying on Romanian refugee plannersto fulfill his promise to “make buses fast and free.”

When I checked into the only hotel permitted to offer rooms to Westerners,I was practically tackled by a beefy prostitute who was likely also a government spy. Co-host Sara Sidner asked, “[Y]ou have called for abolishing ICE entirely. But we have seen polling from the American people who have said, look, they did put Donald Trump in office, in part, because they were concerned about immigration, they wanted better immigration enforcement. Immigration consistently polled as the second most important issue behind the economy. So, if you want to abolish ICE, what should replace it, in your mind?”

Then-Special Counsel Jack Smith's office approved paying $20,000 in 2023 to a confidential human source for information in the controversial FBI investigation code-named Arctic Frost that probed efforts by President Donald Trump and his followers to contest the 2020 election results, according to documents obtained by Just the News.

The revelation is included in a tranche of new memos that FBI Director Kash Patel turned over to Congress this week that provide more clarity on the tactics and scope of the inquiry that agents and prosecutors used to try to build a case that Trump, his lawyers and allies had violated the law by attempting to offer the Senate alternate electors ahead of the certification of the 2020 election results that put Joe Biden into office.

Patel told Just the News that the bombshell revelation of paid snitch was the latest evidence that the Arctic Frost probe was an “egregious abuse of power and violation of the law.”

The records reveal multiple efforts by FBI supervisors to make Trump himself a "subject" of the probe, an idea that was ultimately rejected, their reliance on information in liberal media outlets to build the case as well as the sheer magnitude of major Trump figures whose phone or email records were exploited by the FBI for possible evidence of wrongdoing.

The new revelations include that the FBI obtained email records from nearly 150 figures in Trump world and that they analyzed phone data, not just on nine allies of Trump in Congress, but also on his lawyers and some of his outside advisers, like prominent TV host Steve Bannon.

Bannon's name was included in a list of at least 16 Trump associates whose long-distance phone call records were analyzed by the FBI for evidence that also included Trump's former campaign manager Bill Stepien, personal lawyers Sidney Powell, Jenne Ellis and Cleta Mitchell and the late former NYPD Commissioner Bernie Kerik, who led a team of investigators probing irregularities in the 2020 election.

One memo also showed that in addition to Trump's and Vice President Mike Pence's personal cell phones, which Just the News previously reported were obtained, the FBI also analyzed the phone calls from "more than 50 White House-issued cell phones."

But the biggest bombshell in the latest document was the revelation that the FBI had an informant that Smith's office approved for compensation for the dirt he or she shared with the FBI.

An electronic communication "documents prosecutorial approval, in the form of emailed concurrence from Counselor to the Special Counsel Raymond Hulser on 06/02/2023, of a payment for information in the amount of $20,000.00 to [name redacted] for information provided in support of captioned investigation," one memo reads.

"The payment was discussed by Raymond Hulser and Assistant Special Counsel Julia Gegenheimer with Special Counsel Jack Smith," the memo added.

France, under the so-called ‘leadership’ of President Macron, has quietly shifted the dates of this year’s G7 summit, an annual meeting of leaders from the world’s leading Western economies to coordinate policy on global economic, security, and political issues.

Macron moved the summit to avoid conflicting with President Donald Trump’s June 14th White House UFC event, an extraordinary concession that highlights the growing sensitivity among European leaders—despite their rhetoric— to Trump’s gravitational pull on the world stage, even when that pull involves an octagon on the South Lawn.

The summit had originally been set to take place on June 14-16 in Evian-les-Bains, a lakeside town near the Swiss border long favored for elite diplomatic theater, bottled water aesthetics, and statements no one remembers a week later.

The date already coincided with the US Flag Day and Trump’s birthday, a symbolic inconvenience that became a logistical crisis. Last fall, Trump confirmed that the White House would host a UFC cage fight as part of America’s 250th anniversary celebrations.

European commentators initially dismissed the idea as Trumpian bravado—right up until UFC president Dana White confirmed that the logistics were finalized and the event was very much happening.

According to White, a close friend of Trump, up to 5,000 spectators will attend inside the White House grounds, with tens of thousands more expected nearby. Washington is preparing for days of celebration and controlled chaos—sports, music, spectacle, and unapologetic Americana—everything the G7 is not.

Faced with the prospect of a half-empty summit—or worse, a distracted American president checking fight cards between sessions—Paris quietly blinked. Thus, the G7 dates were shifted to June 15–17, a change now reflected in official documents, if not in French pride.

Macron’s office, unsurprisingly, has attempted to downplay the significance, insisting the rescheduling was simply the result of “consultations with G7 partners.” In diplomatic-speak, this amounts to: we lost this one, but please don’t say why out loud.

A White House official put it a little differently, noting that America’s partners viewed Trump’s attendance as essential and adjusted accordingly. In plain English: when Trump moves, the rest of the room slides their chairs.

For Macron, the episode is quietly but undoubtedly humiliating. The French president has spent years positioning himself as Europe’s philosopher-king, delivering lectures on global governance while presenting France as a moral counterweight to American national-conservatism and populism.

Yet when confronted with Trump’s unapologetic prioritization of national celebration over global liberal elite summits, Macron’s France did not protest but simply rescheduled. The ‘revolution,’ it turns out, can wait until after the main event.

Despite the fact Trump and Macron being ‘friends’ on paper, the contrast between the two leaders could not be any more stark. Trump is hosting a mass sporting spectacle at the seat of executive power, surrounded by cheering crowds and pop-cultural gravity. Macron, meanwhile, presides over meticulously choreographed press briefings and communiqués, along with a summit whose greatest challenge now appears to be basic calendar management.

This is not the first time Macron has had to adjust to Trump’s orbit. From NATO funding disputes to trade battles, Europe’s self-declared strategic autonomy has repeatedly yielded to the inconvenient reality of American leverage.

The symbolism hits hard. The G7—once marketed as the control room of the “rules-based international order”—was forced to step aside for a UFC fight.

The episode exposes the fragility and vacuousness of Macron’s liberal-globalist project. For all the rhetoric about multilateral leadership, Europe still revolves around Washington D.C., and increasingly around Trump himself.

It’s difficult to miss the irony. France once prided itself on resisting American cultural dominance. Now it is quietly rearranging the world’s most exclusive summit to avoid clashing with it.

Even as New York Mayor Mamdani and Gov. Hochul appeared cozy in a photo op this week, other DSA elected officials are escalating attacks – and threats – on the governor behind closed doors.

Mamdani and Hochul were all smiles as they jointly announced a multi-billion-dollar socialist plan to fund free childcare – even raising their clasped hands in a show of unity.But in a private party meeting Thursday night, the Empire State’s other elected socialists used much different rhetoric.

“I’m so excited to fight with y’all in Albany to get them to tax the motherf–g rich,” said Brooklyn state Assemblywoman Phara Souffrant Forrest.

“I’m here to tell you about the three goons that we need to get to tax the rich,” she started off, before slamming Hochul as a “multimillionaire” who “started off cool but then went south.” The other two “goons,” as per the former nurse, were State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie and State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins.

In the DSA’s sights this session is a trio of bills to raise taxes – the progressive state income tax bill that would raise tax brackets for those making over $450,000, the fair share act that would levy an additional 2% city tax on those making more than $1 million, and a corporate tax bill that would impact companies with more than $2.5 million in profits.

Lawmakers then began making threats at the meeting, which was held on video.“If she’s not doing s–t, we have to make that a serious threat,” raged Brooklyn state Assemblywoman Emily Gallagher about Hochul.

Hochul, who is up for re-election this year, is facing a primary challenge from her “No Show” Lt. Gov. Anthony Delgado. “This is an opportunity,” continued Gallagher, who called Hochul’s unwillingness to tax the rich “ridiculous.” “She thinks she only has to worry about the right.”

Gallagher also slammed Hochul, saying, “She thinks she only has to worry about the right.”

Under mounting pressure from socialists,Hochul has warmed up on the idea of hiking corporate taxes, but personal income tax is a line she said she won’t cross.

But with the DSA feeling emboldened with Mamdani in office, they urged members to do whatever it takes to get their agenda passed.

I have referred Seth Harp to the DOJ for investigation and to pursue criminal charges regarding the intentional publication of information related to Operation Absolute Resolve, including the doxxing of a U.S. Delta Force operator. That conduct is not protected journalism. It was reckless, dangerous, and put American lives at risk. The First Amendment does not give anyone a license to expose elite military personnel, compromise operations, or assist our adversaries under the guise of reporting.

Congress has a constitutional duty to investigate when national security is endangered, and no one is above oversight. It is also well within my constitutional authority to work with the DOJ to ensure that justice is served. I look forward to the results of a very thorough investigation and the potential filing of charges for violations of multiple U.S. codes.

I have confirmation that the DOJ has received the letter, and we look forward to their findings.

Folks something significant is happening right now and the reaction from global leaders tells the story.

European heads of state are openly warning that the rules based international order is unraveling. What they are really reacting to is the United States reasserting its independence after decades of being bound to systems that diluted our authority and sovereignty.

The White House has now issued a memorandum pursuant to Executive Order 14199 directing federal agencies to withdraw the United States from dozens of international organizations conventions and treaties that no longer serve the interests of the American people. This follows the broader Defund Act effort which required a full review of where our money power and influence have been flowing for years.

This is a course correction. American taxpayer dollars are no longer being automatically routed into international bodies that operate without accountability and routinely push policies that undermine our constitutional framework. Decision making authority is returning home where it belongs.

This shift is about restoration of our republic. A sovereign nation governs itself. It does not outsource its laws its economy or its moral authority to unelected global institutions.

The same principle applies to what is unfolding in Venezuela. There is a deliberate effort to mischaracterize recent actions as regime change or imperial expansion. That framing misses the real objective.

Venezuela has long functioned as a major financial and logistical hub for transnational criminal networks tied into a larger global banking and laundering system. Those networks have helped fund destabilization operations narcotics trafficking and shadow finance pipelines that serve interests far beyond Venezuela itself. (Think Smartmatic, Dominion, Maduro / Chavez and CIA doing color revolutions in 72 countries over last 20 years, including here in the U.S.)

Disrupting that apparatus strikes at one of the financial engines that has supported the New World Order system for years. Weakening those channels limits the ability of non state and supranational actors to move money influence and power across borders without consequence.

This moment is about reestablishing lawful order rooted in national sovereignty. It is about restoring constitutional governance and ending the era where America was expected to bankroll and obey systems designed by others.

The anxiety coming from global elites is revealing. Power is shifting back to the people through their nation states. Change is happening....

The republic is reasserting itself and the world is adjusting to that reality.
