Florida Surgeon General issues guidance AGAINST amalgam for dental fillings. 50% mercury by weight.

Dental amalgam, commonly used in fillings, is approximately 50% mercury by weight. Unfortunately, it leaches into your body and has the potential to harm your health.

Today, I issued guidance recommending against amalgam for dental fillings. Safer alternatives exist.

Patients deserve to have relevant information for informed decision-making.

Who is the Minneapolis school shooter? Robin Westman identified as sick obsession with child killers is revealed 1/2

GERMANIA RODRIGUEZ POLEO, | UPDATED: 14:42 EDT, 27 August 2025

The shooter who opened fire on a Minneapolis Catholic school's church, killing at least two children and injuring 17 others, has now been identified.

Robin Westman, 23, shot through stained glass windows at children sitting praying on the pews inside Annunciation Catholic School's church at about 8.30am local time Wednesday.

Westman was armed with three guns - a rifle, a shotgun and a pistol - and fired all three weapons during the attack, police said.

Two children aged eight and 10 were killed in the attack and at least 17 other victims - - 14 children and three adults - were injured.

The shooter then turned the gun on himself. His body was found inside the church.

Westman, who was identified by police sources to multiple outlets, did not have an extensive criminal history and his motive remains a mystery.

However, a chilling video shared on a now-deleted YouTube account appears to reveal the killer's sick manifesto.

In the 10-minute-long video, the 23-year-old showed the camera pages of handwritten notes to his family and friends as well as a stash of ammunition.

In the letter, Westman said he believed he had cancer caused by his vaping habit. 'I think I am dying of cancer. It's a tragic end as it's entirely self inflicted. I did this to myself as I cannot control myself and have been destroying my body through vapingand other means,' he wrote. Westman went on to write that he wanted 'to go out on my own means'.

'Unfortunately, due to my depression, anger and twisted mid, I want to fulfill a final act that has been in the back of my head for years,'he wrote. He signed off the note with the name 'Robin M Westman, 2002-2025' and what appeared to be a bird drawing.

As well as the warped letter, the video also showed a stash of gun cartridges, with white writing scrawled on them. Several school shooters' names including 'Lanza' for Sandy Hook mass shooter Adam Lanza was seen on some of the cartridges. One of the other cartridges was labeled: 'For the children.'

The video also shows large pieces of wood with 'No escape' written across them.Police said at least two of the church doors appeared to have been blocked by two by fours before the shooting, suggesting the gunman wanted to trap the people inside.

At another point, the video showed what appeared to be a drawing of the school's church. It then showed a hand stabbing the drawing repeatedly as the voice behind the camera said: 'I'm going to kill myself.'

Police are looking into the disturbing video, according to The New York Post. Police said the gunman parked his vehicle near the school before the attack.

The gunman fired '50 to 100 shots' as students and staff were sat in pews and 'killed two kids,' a heartbroken parent who attended the mass told The Star Tribune.

It is unclear if the shooter fired any of the weapons from inside the church or carried out the entire mass shooting outside before going inside.

A total of 14 children, aged between six and 14, are now being treated at hospitals, and two of the students are in critical condition, per officials. Three other adult victims were also injured in the attack.

'The coward who fired these shots ultimately took his own life in the rear of the church,' said Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara, who added that the gunman acted in a 'deliberate act of violence'. This was a deliberate act of violence against innocent children and other people worshipping.

'The sheer cruelty and cowardice of firing into a church full of children is absolutely incomprehensible,' said the police chief. The students at the Catholic grade school had started school on Monday and were attending mass at the church to bring in the new school year.

Recent social media posts from the school show children smiling at a back-to-school event, holding up summer art projects, playing together and enjoying ice pops. The Catholic school teaches students pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.

Senator Amy Klobuchar told MSNBC a seven-year-old watched as the gunman shot her friends in the back and neck. 'These kids are doing an all-school Mass and had to watch several of her friends get shot — one in the back, one in the neck,' Klobuchar said. 'And they all got down under the pews.'

Harrowing images showed terrified parents outside the church as they waited for news of their children.

The school was evacuated, and students’ families later were directed to a 'reunification zone' at the school. Outside, amid a heavy uniformed law enforcement presence, were uniformed children in their dark green shirts or dresses. Many were trickling out of the school with adults, giving lingering hugs and wiping away tears

President Donald Trump has been 'fully briefed on the tragic shooting' and says the White House will 'continue to monitor this terrible situation'.

Governor Tim Walz added: 'I've been briefed on a shooting at Annunciation Catholic School and will continue to provide updates as we get more information.' (Where’s his condolences to the children, the parent, the public?)

'The BCA and State Patrol are on scene. I'm praying for our kids and teachers whose first week of school was marred by this horrific act of violence.'

'I'm monitoring reports of horrific violence in South Minneapolis. I'm in touch with Chief O'Hara and our emergency response team has been activated,' Mayor Jacob Frey said.

'We will share more information as soon as we can. Please give our officers the space they need to respond to the situation.' Seven people were shot, one fatally, in a separate mass shooting near a Catholic high school in south Minneapolis yesterday reported Kare11.

Walmart fires 1,200 contractors after VP accused of pocketing up to $120,000 a day in bribes from Indian staffing firms

In August 2025, Walmart’s Global Tech division terminated 1,200 contractors in a single sweep. No notice. No severance. Accounts locked. Logins frozen. Silence. The trigger wasn’t performance or efficiency. It was bribery at the top, a vice president accused of siphoning between $30,000 and $120,000 every single day from Indian staffing firms. That figure is not accounting noise. It is organized theft. It is systemic rot. And it detonated the careers of more than a thousand workers overnight source.

The first alarms did not come from compliance officers. They came from inside, posted anonymously on Blind:

“A massive fraud went down. VP took bribes to push H-1B contractors. Americans were sidelined.”

That one sentence spread to Reddit, to X, to mainstream outlets. The VP was fired. The vendors were cut. The workers were discarded.

But the sequence of events tells another story. The purge hit visa-heavy teams. The sourcing implicated vendors. The fallout landed hardest on immigrant contractors. The denial reads like insulation, not truth.

Even Washington reacted. Senator Mike Lee posted the CTOL Digital Solutions report and asked if it is time to “pause” the H-1B program. That was not oversight. That was panic. The CTOL report maps out the bribery mechanics and the vendor funneling. The Reddit thread that broke the story is archived here.

Corporate language tried to soften the blow. Words like “vendor termination,” “restructuring,” and “small number of associates.” But the reality is mass firings, racial tension, and shattered trust. Economic Times captured the fear among Indian H-1B workers now bracing for backlash.

The silence surrounding the scandal is even louder than the coverage. No one is asking how a vice president could siphon six figures a day without alarms. No one is asking why Walmart’s controls failed. No one is asking why whistleblowers had to go public before the purge. The silence is not oversight. It is complicity.

This was not just a scandal. It was a systemic breach of ethics, of governance, and of national labor integrity. When the largest company in America allows bribery to dictate hiring, the collapse is not internal. It is cultural. And it has already begun.

Minneapolis school shooter Robin Westman is school worker's transgender daughter who used to go by Robert

By JOE HUTCHISON, US NEWS REPORTER and MARYANN MARTINEZ

Updated: 15:30 EDT, 27 August 2025

Minneapolis school shooter Robin Westman is a transgender woman whose mother worked at the school where two children were slaughtered.Court records seen by Daily Mail indicate that Westman had previously been known as Robert, having petitioned to have her name changed in 2019. According to court papers filed in Dakota County, Minnesota, Westman asked the court to change her name to Robin. Westman had her mother Mary sign the ]]application for a name change as she was still a minor at the time==.

The petition was later approved in January of 2020, it adds that Westman: 'Identifies as a female and wants her name to reflect that identification.' It has since emerged that her mother was an employee at the school before she retired in 2021. Court receipts indicate her family paid $311 in fees to have her name changed to Robin.

Westman shot through stained glass windows at the children sitting on the pews inside Annunciation Catholic School's church on Wednesday morning, officials said. Before she turned the gun on herself. Two children aged eight and 10 were killed in the attack and at least 17 other victims - 14 children and three adults - were injured, according to authorities.

A now-deleted YouTube account believed to belong to Westman shared what appeared to be a manifesto just hours before the shooting.Police are looking into the disturbing 20-minute video, according to The New York Post.

The video appeared to show a drawing of a church. It then showed someone stabbing the drawing repeatedly as he quietly says 'I'm going to kill myself.'Other clips posted to the YouTube account show gun parts and semi-automatic rifle and a shotgun. The gun parts had the names of other mass shooters written on them.

One of the parts has a message on it aimed at President Donald Trump, calling for him to be killed.

Police said the gunman parked her vehicle near the school and they will be investigating it as part of their probe.

Officials said in a press conference the shooter was armed with three guns - a rifle, a shotgun and a pistol. He fired all three weapons during the attack, police said.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said the shooter approached the side of the church and shot through the windows toward the children sitting in the pews. It is unclear if the shooter fired any of the weapons from inside the church or carried out the entire mass shooting outside before going inside.

Police said at least two of the church doors appeared to have been blocked by two by fours before the shooting, suggesting the gunman wanted to trap the people inside.

O'Hara said: 'The coward who fired these shots ultimately took his own life in the rear of the church'. He added: 'This was a deliberate act of violence against innocent children and other people worshipping. 'The sheer cruelty and cowardice of firing into a church full of children is absolutely incomprehensible.'

The students at the Catholic grade school had started school on Monday and were attending mass when the shooter stormed the church, which is connected to the school. Founded in 1923, Annunciation Catholic School had 391 students enrolled for the 2023-24 school year, according to the National Center for Education Statistics. The school goes from pre-K to eighth grade.

Activist Clementine Ford accuses the government of lying about anti-Semitic attacks

She claims that ASIO and AFP reports are 'bogus' =

Calls for the expulsion of Israel's ambassador

Author and activist Clementine Ford has launched a scathing critique of the Albanese government following the expulsion of Iran's ambassador to Australia.

The decision followed the news ASIO intelligence had linked the Iranian government to two anti-Semitic arson attacks on Australian soil.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced on Tuesday that Iran was behind the firebombing of the Adass Israel Synagogue in Melbourne on December 6 and the arson attack on Lewis' Continental Kitchen in Bondi Beach on October 20.

'These were extraordinary and dangerous acts of aggression orchestrated by a foreign nation on Australian soil,' Albanese said.

'They were attempts to undermine social cohesion and sow discord in our community. It is totally unacceptable.'

Clementine Ford, a vocal supporter of Palestine, questioned the timing of the announcement, noting it came just two days after nationwide pro-Palestine protests.

'Two days after the biggest national protests we've seen in years for any issue, certainly the biggest we've seen for Palestine, we're suddenly told Iran is behind anti-Semitic terrorism in Australia?' Ford said in a video shared to her social media.

'It's f***ng nonsense.'

She expressed disbelief at the government, calling the situation 'insane' and 'pantomime.'

'I simply do not believe that the same nation we're told is a nuclear threat would orchestrate a firebombing of a synagogue in the dead of night, allegedly by a homeless refugee. That is insane.'

Ford also criticised the government's reliance on intelligence reports she described as 'trumped up' and 'bogus.'

'All it took for Anthony Albanese, or as my son calls him, Anthony Albo-no-no, to expel an ambassador was some fucking trumped-up AFP report that literally makes no logical sense.'

She contrasted the swift action against Iran with the government's stance on Israel.

'We can expel the Iranian ambassador for some nonsensical terror propaganda that is barely believable, even in the most melodramatic of circumstances,' Ford said.

'But we couldn't possibly expel the Israeli ambassador for representing a country that is perpetrating genocide. Couldn't possibly sanction Israel.'

Ford denounced the attack on the synagogue, noting that she 'did not think any synagogues should be firebombed'.

Trump issues statement on Minneapolis church massacre and orders American flags at half-staff to honor victims

By CHARLIE SPIERING, US POLITICAL REPORTER | Updated: 15:28 EDT, 27 August 2025

President Donald Trump issued a statement in response to the shooting at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Three people were killed on Wednesday morning after 23-year-old Robin Westman stormed a Catholic church in Minneapolis, unleashing terror on a school of children. Two children, 8 and 10, were killed in the pews they sat in before the attacker turned the gun on themself.

'I have been fully briefed on the tragic shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The FBI quickly responded and they are on the scene,' Trump wrote on Truth Social in response to the horrible tragedy.'The White House will continue to monitor this terrible situation. Please join me in praying for everyone involved!'

Later in the afternoon, the president ordered that flags be lowered to half-staff in honor of the victims.Trump called the shooting a 'senseless act of violence' and urged prayers for the victims.

'As a mark of respect for the victims of the senseless acts of violence perpetrated on August 27, 2025, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, by the authority vested in me as President of the United States by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff,' Trump's proclamation read.

Flags on top of the White House and the large flag newly installed on the front lawn were lowered shortly after the president's proclamation. Vice President JD Vance also responded to the shooting in a post on social media.

'We’re at the WH monitoring the situation in Minneapolis. Join all of us in praying for the victims!'he wrote, prior to his scheduled lunch with the president.

Attorney General Pam Bondi also reacted to the news on social media. 'Our federal agents are on the scene of the horrific shooting at the Annunciation Catholic school in Minneapolis, Minnesota,' she wrote. 'My prayers are with everyone involved in this tragedy. Our team will provide updates as we receive them.'

FBI director Kash Patel also signaled that the FBI was involved with the response to the shooting.'FBI agents are on scene, and we ask everyone to keep potential victims, civilians or law enforcement in harm’s way in your prayers,' he wrote.

The shooter who opened fire in the church has been identified as Robin Westman, 23, formerly known as Robert.

The students at the Catholic grade school were attending Mass when the shooter attacked the church. Westman shot through stained glass windows at the children sitting on the pews inside Annunciation Catholic School's church before turning the gun on himself.

Two children aged eight and 10 were killed in the shooting attack. Seventeen other victims, including 14 children and three adults were injured, authorities said. Seven of the victims are in critical condition.

Flags on top of the White House and the large flag newly installed on the front lawn were lowered shortly after the president's proclamation.

DOJ Settles With Ten FBI Whistleblowers Targeted By Biden Administration

Lowell Cauffiel 27 Aug 2025

Ten FBI whistleblowers who say the Biden administration punished them for their “political beliefs” and for disclosing misconduct in the bureau will have their security clearances reinstated and collect back pay, according to a settlement announced Tuesday.

“These ten (whistleblowers) collectively suffered 12-years-worth of unjustified suspension time,” Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, posted on X after getting word of the settlement. “They were punished (because) of their disclosures/political beliefs. In other words, they were treated like skunks at a picnic. Now they receive justice.”

Sen. Grassley has long advocated for the whistleblowers and has helped navigate the settlements to their retaliation complaints. According to the Senator’s office, under the Biden administration the ten whistleblowers received retaliation that included demotions, loss of pay, and revocation of security clearances.

The legal nonprofit Empower Oversight represented the ten FBI employees. The organization detailed in a 12-page, March 5 letter to the FBI’s general counsel the improper “retaliatory targeting” of the men and women it represented.

The letter also stated:

While it is our belief that new leadership of the FBI has the authority to remedy the wrongs suffered by our clients through management directives and should do so immediately, we are willing to work cooperatively on each of the fronts outlined above in order to explore amicable resolutions in each case.

• The New York Post highlighted several whistleblowers and some of their conduct that spawned the reprisals.

• One special agent was suspended indefinitely and lost his security clearance afterhe objected to a SWAT team being used to arrest a January 6 riot defendanton a misdemeanor charge.

• Another was suspended without pay and lost his security clearanceafter being wrongly accused of leaking information to Project Veritas, a conservative undercoverjournalism operation.

• Another agent in New Orleans lost his security clearancewhen he reported prosecutorial misconduct related to a sweetheart plea deal given to a district attorney charged with sex crimes.

• A female FBI staffer waspunished for reporting mismanagement and a “gross waste of funds” in connection with how criminal background checks were being processed.

“The actions taken against our clients were in reprisal for protected whistleblowing and/or improper targeting because of their political beliefs,” the March 5 letter by their attorneys stated.

Four of the whistleblowers remained anonymous.

Empower Oversight Founder Jason Foster and President Tristan Leavitt, in a letter dated Tuesday, thanked Grassley for his advocacy while also stating the fight to protect whistleblowers was not over.

“For each of these cases where whistleblowers finally received at least some measure of justice for the retaliation they faced just for telling the truth about wrongdoing, there are many more who still need a remedy,” they wrote.“The work to combat weaponization and whistleblower retaliation is far from over.”

BREAKING: CDC Director Susan Monarez Ousted After Less Than One Month on the Job

by Cristina Laila Aug. 27, 2025 4:20 pm34

CDC Director Susan Monarez was fired less than a month on the job.

CNN and The Washington Post and The Hill confirmed Dr. Monarez has been ousted.

Details of Monarez’s departure from the CDC are not immediately available.

The Hill reported:

Susan Monarez, the longtime government scientist recently confirmed as director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has been let go from her position after less than a month in the role.

A source familiar with the situation confirmed to The Hill that Monarez is ousted as CDC director. The Senate confirmed her on July 29.

The Washington Post was first to report Monarez’s firing. The Hill has reached out to the Department of Health and Human Services for comment.

Prior to being nominated to lead the CDC, Monarez had served as acting CDC Director shortly after the start of the second Trump administration. She previously served as deputy director at the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H).

In March, President Trump nominated Dr. Susan Monarez to serve as the next director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

“I am proud to announce that Dr. Susan Monarez is my Nominee to serve as the next Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Dr. Monarez brings decades of experience championing Innovation, Transparency, and strong Public Health Systems. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, and PostDoctoral training in Microbiology and Immunology at Stanford University School of Medicine,” Trump said on Truth Social on Monday.

“As an incredible mother and dedicated public servant, Dr. Monarez understands the importance of protecting our children, our communities, and our future. Americans have lost confidence in the CDC due to political bias and disastrous mismanagement. Dr. Monarez will work closely with our GREAT Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert Kennedy Jr. Together, they will prioritize Accountability, High Standards, and Disease Prevention to finally address the Chronic Disease Epidemic and, MAKE AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN!” Trump said.

Dr. Susan Monarez was confirmed on July 29 and sworn in on July 31.

@realDonaldTrump

We honor the extraordinary life and service of Retired U.S. Army Sergeant Michael Verardo, a true American Hero, who gave everything for our Nation. After suffering catastrophic injuries from an IED in Afghanistan on April 24, 2010, Michael endured 120 surgeries with unwavering Courage, and the strong support of his incredible wife, Sarah, and three beautiful daughters. Sarah’s tireless advocacy for Wounded Warriors and Military Families exemplifies the Spirit of America. Michael's Legacy of Resilience, and Sarah's Selfless Dedication, will forever inspire us. Brave Patriots like Michael, and their families, will never be forgotten. We will cherish them in our hearts, forever!

@realDonaldTrump

Monday’s Court Order in Utah is absolutely Unconstitutional. How did such a wonderful Republican State like Utah, which I won in every Election, end up with so many Radical Left Judges? All Citizens of Utah should be outraged at their activist Judiciary, which wants to take away our Congressional advantage, and will do everything possible to do so. This incredible State sent four great Republicans to Congress, and we want to keep it that way. The Utah GOP has to STAY UNITED, and make sure their four terrific Republican Congressmen stay right where they are!

JUST IN🔥: Republicans on the House Oversight Committee and one of its subcommittees on Wednesday announced an investigation into allegations of an organized effort to skew U.S. public opinion on sensitive topics by manipulating Wikipedia articles.

Wikipedia is a nonpartisan nonprofit that allows the public to edit encyclopedic articles, but the website's editing team is supposed to review information and remove material that is not verified.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer and Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation Chairwoman Nancy Mace sent a letter to Wikimedia Foundation Chief Executive Officer Maryana Iskander, requesting documents and information related to actions by Wikipedia volunteer editors caught violating platform policies.

The lawmakers said their investigation seeks to examine how the nonprofit responds to bad actors in order to restore its credibility as a neutral arbiter of information, and what actions are taken to hold the bad actors accountable.

Two children were killed and seventeen other individuals were injured.

I’m horrified by the shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis and closely monitoring the situation. I’m thankful for the first responders on the scene. Students and teachers should not be putting their lives on the line just by going back to school. We must do more to stop gun violence in America.

Marlow: Trump Baiting the Left to Take Stand on Behalf of Burning the American Flag

Pam Key 26 Aug 2025

Tuesday on Newsmax TV’s “Finnerty,” Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow said President Donald Trump’s executive orderon flag burning was meant to bait the “left to take a really principled stand on behalf of burning the American flag.”

“I don’t know why that they think that gender sterilization and open borders and defending criminals over the citizens is preferable to just doing basic stuff like law and order and things of that nature but I think it’s about cognitive dissonance,” Marlow said of the Democrats.

“They think that if Trump does it, it must be wrong.

And ironically, Trump has based his entire first seven, eight months ofthis second term on only 80/20 issues. He’s not taking a single issue that’s not an 80/20 issue and making it a top-tier priority.

Maybe he’ll throw some something out hereor there, but overall,he’s going with bread and butter stuff, andhe traps them one timeafter the next after the next.

They’ve stepped on every single rakeand they can’t help themselvesbecause to them, Trump is always wrong and he’s always bad.

He added, “I’m a First Amendment guy, too, so I’m fine with the flag burning being legal at this pointbut I like what Trump does where he resets people’s thinking.

• He questions things that we assume as gospel.

• It should not be gospel that you’re allowed to burn the flag.

• I am excited to see what the Supreme Court is ultimately going to say about it, and how they’re going to weigh in.

Trump is also baiting people on the left to take a really principled stand on behalf of burning the American flag.”

Federal Statutory and Ethical Violations in COVID-19 Pandemic Response

An Investigative Review of Alleged Misconduct by Dr. Anthony Fauci, Federal Agencies, and Partner Organizations

Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, a growing body of documentation has raised serious questions about the conduct of key scientific and governmental actors involved in the development, funding, regulation, and commercialization of pandemic-related biomedical interventions, including the Covid-19 vaccines.

Among those who are most frequently cited are Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID); Dr. Ralph Baric of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a leading coronavirus researcher; and Dr. Peter Daszak, President of the nonprofit EcoHealth Alliance. These individuals, along with institutions such as the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, have been linked through a web of collaborative research, exchange of scientists, patent filings, and federal grant funding that, according to several independent investigations, skirted or violated U.S. laws related to public health ethics, intellectual property, federal disclosure requirements, and international biosecurity standards.

Particularly concerning are the allegations that federally funded research enabled gain-of-function manipulation of coronaviruses; this was despite the Obama administration’s moratorium on such experiments from 2014 to 2017.

These experiments were conducted in partnership with the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and received funds that were funneled through grants awarded by NIAID to EcoHealth Alliance. The scientific knowledge and intellectual property produced by the funding, which was commercialized by private pharmaceutical firms notably Pfizer and Moderna, culminated in the rapid deployment of mRNA-based vaccines under rushed emergency use authorizations.

According to its critics, these vaccines were developed and distributed under conditions that lacked transparency regarding their experimental status, potential risks, and the government’s long-term financial stake. The key legal, scientific and ethical concerns about these actors involved in pandemic interventions have been drawn from publicly available documents, patent records, congressional testimonies, and regulatory filings in order to assess whether their collective actions may constitute violations of U.S. statutes and/or international norms.

Moderna’s and Pizer’s clinical trials conducted for their COVID-19 mRNA vaccines violated ethical norms and legal standards. In particular were violations concerning informed consent and public transparency. The fact remains that these so-called vaccines were not traditional immunizations but rather experimental gene therapy platforms that introduced synthetic mRNA to stimulate spike protein production within the human body.

Dr. Martin asserts that both companies, with federal backing, presented these interventions to the public as vaccines in a manner that sidestepped the rigorous consent processes typically required for novel therapeutics. Worse, the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) was used to expedite these experimental vaccines’ deployment while downplaying the investigational nature of the products and minimizing disclosure of known risks. In doing so, the trials contravened U.S. regulations and failed to meet the ethical requirements laid out in both domestic law and international bioethics guidelines.

Wisconsin Judge Loses Court Battle After Allegedly Helping Migrant Escape

Elizabeth Weibel 26 Aug 2025

A federal judge dismissed a defense claim by the Milwaukee Circuit Judge who allegedly helped an illegal alien escapefrom U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials.

Judge Hannah Duganhad argued she was exemptfrom prosecution for helping the illegal immigrant. But U.S. District Judge LynnAdelman rejected Dugan’s argument, according to the Associated Press (AP).

Adelman explained that “the dispute boils down to Dugan arguing that there is a general rule of immunity for judges from prosecution,” while thegovernment “argues that the cited exceptions are simply examples of types of prosecutions that have been brought”:

Adelman said the dispute boils down to Dugan arguing that there is a general rule of immunity for judges from prosecution, with some limited exceptions, while the government argues that the cited exceptions are simply examples of types of prosecutions that have been brought.

“A review of the relevant history reveals the government has the better of the argument,” Adelman wrote.

Breitbart News’s Paul Bois reported in July that a U.S. magistrate judge hadalso stated that the case against Dugan was able to proceed.

In May, a grand jury indicted Dugan, and in the a “two-page indictment,” Dugan was accused of “obstructing a U.S. agency and concealing an individual to prevent an arrest,” according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

The two-page indictment accuses Dugan, 66, of obstructing a U.S. agency and concealing an individual to prevent an arrest. The two charges carry a maximum penalty of six years in prison and a $350,000 fine, but sentences in cases involving nonviolent offenses typically are much shorter.

“Two days after” the grand jury indicted her, Dugan pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against her, according to the Washington Post.

Trump Is Likely to Win in His Fight with Fed Governor Cook

1/2Excellent Analysis

Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook’s attempt to overturn her removal faces long odds. The controlling doctrines point to a narrow judicial role here, and even a win on the merits would most likely yield back pay, not a return to Constitution Avenue. If you strip away the noise and look athow courts actually handle “for-cause”removals, Cook’s case is uphill on every material point.

The strongest thing Cook has going for her in the fight against President Donald Trump is thatthe Supreme Court has already signaled that it will likely uphold the for-cause tenure Congress gave Fed governors. While the Justices have been striking down similar for-cause tenure provisions for many agencies, bureaus, and commissions, the Supreme Court went out of its way in a recent emergency order to say that its reasoning in those cases—basically, that the limits on removal unconstitutionally infringe on the independence of the executive branch—does not apply to the Federal Reserve.

“Finally, respondents … contend that arguments in this case necessarily implicate the constitutionality of for-cause removal protections for members of the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors or other members of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC).We disagree. The Federal Reserve is a uniquely structured, quasi-private entity that follows in the distinct historical tradition of the First and Second Banks of the United States,” the Court said.

Although the court did not spell it out in detail, one of the key features that makes the Fed’s structure unique is that it is designed to perform a legislative function rather than an executive function. The Constitution assigns to Congress the power to “coin Money, regulate the Value thereof.” The Supreme Court has interpreted the power to coin money and regulate its value to include the authority to regulate every phase of currency, including chartering banks. In other words, monetary policy belongs to Congress, not the executive, and Congress likely has more leeway to impose removal restrictions on a central bank carrying out a Congressional power.

But the Court is likely to be reluctant to micromanage what qualifies as “cause” inside that distinctive regime.Section 242 of the Federal Reserve Act is terse:governors serve 14 years “unless sooner removed for cause by the President.” It does not define “cause,” mandate a hearing, or set an evidentiary burden. When Congress writes a sparse standard for a uniquely independent institution, courts generally read that as a reason for restraint, not a license to invent criminal-style procedures.

No Hunt for the Real Motive

Many commentators have argued that the mortgage fraud allegations are mere pretext for policy retaliation. That is unlikely to carry the day. In the canonical removal cases, the Court assessed the legal sufficiency of the reason offered, not the president’s “real motives.” If the White House presents a facially valid basis—here, integrity concerns tied to a financial transaction—judges typically decide whether that fits the statutory category of “cause,” full stop.

The Supreme Court’s recent decision in Trump v. United States reinforces why courts won’t probe presidential motives here. The Court made clear thatjudges “may not inquire into the President’s motives” when there are facially valid reasons for executive action, warning that such inquiry would be “highly intrusive” and risk exposing official conduct to examinationbased on “mere allegation of improper purpose.” This doctrine applies with particular force when, as here, the stated reason involves financial misconduct allegations supported by documentary evidence. Courts are meant to assess whether mortgage fraud concerns constitute valid “cause” under Section 242,not to psychoanalyze whether the president’s true motivation was policy disagreement.

(long article but great read)

And even if a court glanced at context, the policy-retaliation story doesn’t really add up.Removing one governor from the 12 memberFederal Open Market Committeedoes not shift monetary policy, and Cook’s rate stance at the last meeting was reportedly shared by nearly all other participants. That makes it hard to argue the true aim was to change the outcome on interest rates.

Cause Isn’t a Conviction

Because §242 supplies no procedures or burden, courts are not going tograft a “beyond a reasonable doubt” requirement—or anything close—onto a presidential removal. The right question isn’t “Can the President prove fraud?” but “Is there a non-frivolous evidentiary basis for believing conduct occurred that reasonably bears on fitness to serve on the nation’s bank-regulatory board?”

If the administration puts forward contemporaneous documents supporting the allegation that two incompatible primary-residence attestations were signed two weeks apart, that will likely clear the threshold to let the removal stand while litigation proceeds. Courts have been especially wary of yo-yoing officials in and out of office during suits. The institutional bias of our judicial system is toward stability now and damages later.

Some of Cook’s advocates have pointed out that the alleged misconduct predates her Fed service. That matters, but it isn’t dispositive. In other federal contexts, pre-appointment dishonesty can be “cause” because it goes to candor and suitability. The key is nexus: does the evidence credibly show misrepresentation in a financial transaction such that a banking regulator’s integrity is implicated? If the answer is yes, courts will not say “too old” or “too private” simply because the paperwork came before the oath.

Win the Case, Lose the Seat

Even if Cook were to win on the merits, perhaps convincing the court that the for-cause threshold has not been met, she’s still unlikelyto keep her seat on the Fed board.

The Supreme Court has long-avoided directly orderingthe government to continue to employ officialsin the face of a purported presidential removal. When removals are held unlawful, the historic remedy is back pay or relief aimed at subordinate officials, not an injunction to the Oval Office-. For a sitting Fed governor, that remedial pattern matters more than any lofty rhetoric about independence. It means Cook’s best-case courtroom outcome looks like a paycheck or a pension, not reinstatement==. That reality weakens the litigation leverage and underscores why front-end injunctions are so hard to obtain.

But this is not entirely clear-cut. In Cook’s case, the Supreme Court could avoid ordering the president of the United States to do anything at all. It could instead order Fed officials to treat her as a sitting governor. That would effectively keep her in office—providing at least a narrow path to victory for Cook.

Independence by Design

Allowing this removal to stand does not hand any president a joystick for monetary policy. A replacement must still be nominated by the president and confirmed by the Senate. Fourteen-year, staggered terms dilute the impact of any single appointment. And the Federal Open Market Committee is a 12-vote body that includes Reserve Bank presidents; one vacancy or one new governor rarely moves outcomes by itself. If a White House overreaches on “cause,” the confirmation process is the proper venue for pushback.

Add those strands together and the court’s likely posture comes into focus. Justices will preserve the existence of a for-cause constraint for the uniquely structured Federal Reserve, but they won’t inflate that constraint into a criminal code or a roving license to interrogate presidential motives. They will ask whether the administration has some competent evidence of conduct that, if true, undermines a governor’s fitness for a financial-regulatory role. If so, the removal is likely to remain in place while the case winds through the courts. And even if Cook ultimately wins, the payoff will almost certainly be compensation, not a judicially ordered return to the Board.

The independence of the Federal Reserve matters for American economic stability. But that independence is best preserved by the architecture Congress built—Senate confirmation, long staggered terms, a multi-member FOMC—not by inviting courts to supervise personnel decisions in real time. The unique structure already recognized by the Supreme Court is the safeguard rather than orders from the judicial branch.

On the law as it stands, Cook’s challenge is unlikely to succeed on the front end, and even a back-end victory would be mainly symbolic.

Mystery Hacker Used AI To Automate 'Unprecedented' Cybercrime Rampage

"AI is dramatically scaling the sophistication and personalization of cyberattacks..."

A hacker allegedly exploited Anthropic, the fast-growing AI startup behind the popular Claude chatbot, to orchestrate what authorities describe as an “unprecedented” cybercrime campaign targeting nearly 20 companies, according to a report released this week.

The report, published by Anthropic and obtained by NBC News, details how the hacker manipulated Claude to pinpoint companies vulnerable to cyberattacks. Claude then generated malicious code to pilfer sensitive data and cataloged information that could be used for extortion, even drafting the threatening communications sent to the targeted firms.

GOP Marks Abbey Gate Anniversary, Vows Biden-Harris Will ‘Never Be Let Off the Hook’ for ‘Tragic, Reckless’ Exit

Joshua Klein 26 Aug 20251/3

Republican lawmakers on Tuesday marked the fourth anniversary of the deadly Abbey Gate bombing by honoring the 13 fallen service members while demanding accountability for what they called former President Joe Biden’s “reckless withdrawal from Afghanistan,” which led to the “tragic but preventable attack,” with multiple members vowing to “never let him off the hook for his utter failure as Commander-in-Chief.”

President Donald Trump on Monday signed a proclamation declaring August 26, 2025, as a day of remembrance for the Abbey Gate victims, flanked by Gold Star families as he blasted the Biden administration’s chaotic withdrawal. “This is a very special group of people. I’ve been with them from the beginning, Abby Gate,” Trump said, calling August 26, 2021, “one of the dumbest days in our nation’s history.”

Trump said the administration should have kept Bagram Airfield and withdrawn from there rather than the vulnerable Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul. “At a minimum, they should have been at Bagram, the big field where we have hundreds of acres around it. Nobody’s going to get near it. They left from a small airfield, and the consequences were horrible,” Trump said at the ceremony, joined by Vice President JD Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

The president also recognized the wounded. “We have, like, 32 maybe more, but approximately 32 who lost their arms and their legs,” he said. “We remember these great 13 souls, but we also remember the people that were so badly injured, our soldiers, and we’re in contact with them always.”

On Tuesday, GOP lawmakers across both chambers took to social media to honor the fallen and demand accountability, stressing that the tragedy “didn’t have to happen” and blasting what they called Biden’s “strategic incompetence.”

“Four years ago, thirteen American service members gave their lives during the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan,” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth wrote on X. “Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. We owe it to them and every warrior who wears the uniform to ensure that something like this never happens again.”

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) directly tied the bombing to Biden and Harris, writing, “Four years ago, 13 American heroes were killed at Abbey Gate because of Joe Biden & Kamala Harris’s reckless withdrawal from Afghanistan. It didn’t have to be this way.”

Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) delivered one of the sharpest critiques, saying, “The Biden administration bears full responsibility for the chaos in Kabul. By ignoring military advice, disregarding intelligence, and prioritizing politics over strategy, they created the conditions that cost 13 American lives.”

House Republicans echoed the same message. Rep. Brian Babin (R-TX) wrote, “Four years ago today, 13 brave U.S. service members and 170 civilians were murdered at Abbey Gate in Kabul. It was totally preventable. Biden’s disastrous withdrawal cost American lives.”

Several lawmakers honored service members from their home states. Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY) remembered Wyoming native Lance Corporal Rylee McCollum, writing, “Among the 13 was Wyoming’s own Rylee McCollum from Jackson. Rylee’s courage, along with the sacrifice of each of the fallen service members, will forever be remembered and honored.”

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) honored Lance Corporal Jared Schmitz from Missouri, saying, “Today marks four years since the Biden Administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan that cost 13 American lives, including Lcpl Jared Schmitz from Missouri. The families deserve accountability.

Republican lawmakers onTuesday marked the fourth anniversary of the deadly Abbey Gate bombing by honoring the 13 fallen service members while demanding accountability for what they called former President Joe Biden’s “reckless withdrawal from Afghanistan,” which led to the “tragic but preventable attack,” with multiple members vowing to “never let him off the hook for his utter failure as Commander-in-Chief.”

The families deserve accountability.”

Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) laid out the circumstances of the attack, noting it followed Biden’s “rushed withdrawal from Bagram Airfield in July 2021, which left U.S. forces without a defensible base and allowed the Taliban to release thousands of extremists, including the attacker responsible for Abbey Gate.”

Collins added that “Americans and Afghan allies were abandoned and $85 billion in U.S. military equipment was left behind,” while listing all 13 fallen heroes by name.

The House Foreign Affairs Committee issued a statement underscoring accountability, stating, “Bad policies have consequences. Four years ago today, President Biden’s failed withdrawal from Afghanistan resulted in the tragic but preventable bombing attack at the Abbey Gate, robbing us of our thirteen young men and women in uniform.

We will never forget the names of these brave servicemembers gone too early.”

Chairman Brian Mast (R-FL) and Chairman Emeritus Michael McCaul (R-TX) both honored the fallen by name. McCaul connected the tragedy to his oversight work, saying,“This tragedy didn’t have to happen. As my 2024 report into the Afghanistan withdrawal revealed, the Biden admin prioritized optics over security at every step of the way — putting servicemembers, State Department employees, and innocent Afghans in mortal danger. While we remember and mourn those who died on that tragic day,we must also continue working toward answers and accountabilityto ensure this never happens again.”

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) honored Navy Hospital Corpsman Third Class Maxton Soviak, writing, “It’s been four years since Max Soviak paid the ultimate sacrifice for his country at the Abbey Gate in Kabul, Afghanistan. We will never forget his service. God Bless him and his family.”

Other Republicans emphasized their continued push for accountability. Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) wrote, “We will never forget the sacrifice of every lost life and those injured that day, and thanks to President Trump, these heroes’ families will finally get the answers they deserve!”

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) honored Staff Sergeant Ryan P. Knauss, noting her successful effort to dedicate a post office in his memory. “His courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten,” she said.

The RNC Research account delivered one of the harshest broadsides, stating, “Four years ago today 13 brave service members lost their lives during Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal. Kamala Harris laughed.”

Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) called the withdrawal “a stain on our nation,” writing, “The Biden admin’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal will forever be a stain on our nation. Four years ago today, 13 American heroes were killed at Abbey Gate. We join in grief with our Gold Star families & will never forget the fallen 13.”

The House GOP’s official account summed it up, writing, “The disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal claimed the lives of 13 fearless American service members. Military veterans of the @HouseGOP remind us to never forget their sacrifice — and to never let Joe Biden off the hook for his utter failure as Commander-in-Chief.”

Where are the Democrats to honor these Soldiers? Are they not standing up for Soldiers? Why ignore it?
