Russia remains willing to engage in direct peace talks with Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.

Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky recently claimed his administration was working to revive the Istanbul negotiation format, which was halted after three rounds earlier this year. Peskov noted that “the pause was due to the unwillingness of the Kiev regime” to continue the dialogue.

Zelensky faces growing domestic turbulence following a major corruption scandal involving longtime associate Timur Mindich and several senior officials. As lawmakers considered dismissing the cabinet of Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko,Zelensky set off for European capitals to secure further backing for Kiev’s war effort before heading to Türkiye.

Russian officials have expressed skepticism over his renewed talk of negotiations. Konstantin Kosachev, deputy chairman of Russia’s Federation Council, dismissed the rhetoric as “a smokescreen covering the absent deeper substance,”telling the newspaper Izvestia that no meaningful conclusions should be drawn from Zelensky’s comments.

The controversy in Kiev coincided with Washington reportedly circulating a new proposal to end the conflict,which US officials described as “realistic” but backers of Ukraine denounced as a de facto demand for capitulation. Zelensky was expected to meet US special envoy Steve Witkoff in Türkiye,but the meeting was reportedly canceled after he refused to discuss the plan.

Zelensky was greeted in Türkiye by Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council SecretaryRustem Umerov, who had reportedly already been briefed on the 28-point proposal. Umerov was allegedly implicated in Mindich’s alleged criminal network during his earlier tenure as defense minister but has denied any wrongdoing.Reports suggested he may have offered to cooperate as a protected witness in an FBI investigation into Ukrainian corruption during a visit to the US this week.(There is so much more this guy can rat on, therefore he refuses to return to Ukraine! On November 19, 2025, NASA broadcasted a press conference here in which new data on the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS was shared for the first time after the U.S. government shutdown.

An hour earlier, I was asked by a reporter what I expect from the press conference and I replied: “I do not expect big news.

NASA will repeat the official mantra that 3I/ATLAS is a natural comet and that they were unable to process the data until this week because of the government shutdown.

Both are boring messages. The HiRISE image will probably show a fuzzy ball of light, like the Hubble image here. But I hope to be surprised.”

I was not surprised. There was no big news. NASA repeated the official mantra that 3I/ATLAS is a natural comet and that they were unable to process the data until recently because of the government shutdown.

The image taken by the HiRISE camera onboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on October 3 and available here, shows a fuzzy ball of light. The image features a spatial resolution of 30 kilometers per pixel at 3I/ATLAS’ distance of about 30 million kilometers.

Due to spacecraft jitter during the observation period, the light from 3I/ATLAS is smeared by several pixels. In the coming days I will analyze this data quantitatively to extract the most important information out of it.

The new data includes fuzzier images that that of HiRISE and a UV spectroscopic detection of hydrogen by MAVEN that adds slightly to what we already learned this summer about 3I/ATLAS from the Hubble (here), Webb (here) and SPHEREx (here) space telescopes.

NASA’s representatives should have emphasized what we do not understand about 3I/ATLAS rather than insist that it is a familiar comet from a new birth environment. They stated that 3I/ATLAS does what comets do, namely shed gas and dust and responds to gravity.

But a spacecraft that collected dust and CO2, CO & H2O ices on its surface by traveling through the cold interstellar medium could have also developed an outer layer of dust mixed with ices that sublimate when illuminated by sunlight.

We should not “judge a book by its cover,” because we all know about the Trojan Horse which appeared unthreatening to the guardians of the City of Troy. When monitoring an interstellar visitor, we should not fall prey to traditional thinking but scrutinize new interpretations.

The public resonates with science as a learning experience, where the collection of evidence leads the way to new knowledge rather than reinforces variants on past knowledge.

Ukraine murder plot using UK-made chemical weapon foiled – FSB

Kiev’s military intelligence used two toxic substances, including a British-made VX variant, the agency has said

A Ukrainian plot to assassinate a senior Russian military officer using beer contaminated with a powerful British-made chemical weapon was thwarted, the FSB has said.

According to the agency’s branch in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the scheme was organized by Ukraine’s military intelligence service, the HUR, which allegedly identified the target through a fabricated online persona – a young woman calling herself ‘Polina’. FSB investigators believe the photos and videos used to establish the relationship were produced with AI and circulated for months to build the victim’s trust.

’Polina’ reportedly arranged to send the officer a gift of British beer via an intermediary. The courier, the FSB said, was already under investigation for smuggling explosives and other contraband into Russia from Ukraine-controlled territory using drones. He was detained immediately after delivering the package.

Testing of the beer revealed two toxic agents, including what the FSB described as a British-manufactured variant of the VX nerve agent. Had the intended victim consumed it, he would have suffered a painful death within 20 minutes, the statement said.

Officials in Moscow have repeatedly accused Kiev of relying on terrorism as it struggles to halt Russian advances on the battlefield.

Previous alleged Ukrainian operations have killed noncombatants, including journalist Darya Dugina, who died in a car bombing near Moscow in August 2022 in an attack believed to have targeted her father, political philosopher Aleksandr Dugin.

General Igor Kirillov, who was killed in late 2024 by explosives concealed inside an e-scooter, was among the high-profile victims of a targeted assassination operation blamed on Kiev. Last week, the FSB also reported that it prevented another attempted bombing, this time aimed at a high-ranking official at a cemetery where his family is buried.

We imaged supernova SN 2025vzq in the beautiful NGC 7606 spiral galaxy. We share our picture with you.

The image above comes from the average of 5, 300-second unfiltered exposures, remotely taken with the the Celestron C14+Paramount ME+SBIG ST-10XME robotic unit available as part of the Virtual Telescope Project in Manciano, Italy.

We estimated SN 2025vzq as bright as mag. 17.3 (R-mags for the reference stars from the Gaia DR2 star catalogue), likely around its peak. This transient was discovered on 28 Aug. 2025 and it is a type Ic supernova.

ISS astronauts see comet Lemmon 'absorbed' by aurora

For skywatchers, scientists and even the astronauts on the International Space Station (ISS), the skies have recently been very active.

The sun has released its largest eruptions of 2025, sparking a series of auroras that, in the Northern Hemisphere, have reached as far south as Mexico.

Add to this two comets that have been seen in the night sky, comet Swan and comet Lemmon.

While the astronauts on the ISS had to take shelter during the recent solar storms to avoid potentially dangerous radiation, they did manage to capture this image of comet Lemmon appearing near the auroras on Earth.

What is it?

Comet Lemmon, officially designated C/2012 F6 (Lemmon), is a long-period comet discovered in 2012 by the Mount Lemmon Survey in Arizona.

It originates from the distant Oort Cloud, the icy reservoir of cometary bodies that surrounds our solar system.

As it approaches the sun during its 1,350-year orbit, comet Lemmon warms, releasing gas and dust that form its signature glowing tail.

Where is it?

This image was taken in low Earth orbit aboard the International Space Station, which circles our planet at an average altitude of about 250 miles (400 kilometers).

Why is it amazing?

Because of their long orbits, comets are a relatively rare sight in the night sky. And catching one juxtaposed against powerful auroras is rarer still.

This photo is a good reminder of how dynamic, multi-layered and interconnected our corner of the universe really is, and how once in a while, things line up just right to capture something truly extraordinary.

Nazi crimes have no statute of limitations, and the Nuremberg Tribunal’s judgments remain a key safeguard against attempts to rewrite history, Russian President Vladimir Putinsaid on Thursday, the 80th anniversaryof the opening of the trial.

Efforts to bring senior leaders of the Third Reich to justice took shape during World War II. InOctober 1942, the Soviet government formally called for Nazi officials to be held accountable for wartime atrocities. Allied foreign ministers endorsed the proposal a year later, and inFebruary 1945 at the Yalta Conference, the leaders of the USSR, US, and Britainreached a final agreement to create the International Military Tribunal.

In a message to participants of the ‘No Statute of Limitations. Nuremberg. 80 Years’ international forum, Putin said researchers involved in the projectcarried out “meticulous work” to declassify archives, conduct field expeditions, and gather new evidence of Nazi atrocities.

The tribunal’s principles set out 80 years ago “remain relevant today,” Putin said in a statement published on the Kremlin’s website. “They help us firmly resist attempts to falsify historical factsand offer guidance in responding to modern global challenges and threats.”

Putin added that he expects the forum to make a significant contribution to the study of the tribunal’s legacy and said he hopes the discussions will be constructive.

Ahead of the anniversary, the Russian Defense Ministryreleased a set of archival materials on the tribunal’s proceedings and findings.

The ministrysaid it published previously unseen documents from the Central Archive of the Russian Defense Ministry, including reports, memoranda, intelligence summaries, and records detailing atrocities committed by Nazi occupation forces. The release also features rare photographs and works by Soviet artists.

The Nuremberg Trial of Nazi leaders, held from November 20, 1945 to October 1, 1946, was an unprecedented event in modern history; 24 senior officials – including Hermann Goering, Rudolf Hess, Joachim von Ribbentrop, Wilhelm Keitel, and Alfred Jodl – were brought before the tribunal. None admitted full responsibility for the charges they faced.

As NASA prepares to hold a media briefing November 19th at 3pm Eastern, on the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS, questions about the agency’s transparency have resurfaced following decades of suspicious live feed interruptions.

The International Space Station broadcasts a continuous feed watched by millions, yet observers have documented a troubling pattern: objects appear on camera, then the feed suddenly cuts to a blue screen with NASA citing technical difficulties.

According to CBS News coverage from July 2016, one of the most publicized incidents occurred when an object appeared on the ISS feed seemingly entering Earth’s atmosphere.

NASA spokesman Daniel Huot explained the interruption as routine, stating the station regularly passes out of range of tracking and data relay satellites.

However, this explanation raises concerns given NASA’s annual budget exceeds $20 billion, leaving many to question why technical failures occur so consistently when unidentified objects are visible.

NASA maintains in official responses that reflections from station windows, spacecraft structures, and lights from Earth commonly create visual effects, insisting no unidentifiable objects have been seen from the ISS.

Yet archived footage tells a different story, with dozens of documented incidents where the timing cannot be dismissed as mere coincidence.

Investigative journalist Ross Coulthart provided compelling firsthand testimony on NewsNation, describing an incident he witnessed during a VIP tour of the Marshall Space Center two years ago.

While viewing the ISS live feeds with the center’s director, Coulthart and his colleague observed eight or nine egg-shaped objects moving in formation behind the space station.

When Coulthart asked if they were Starlink satellites, the director turned to look at the feed, saw the objects, then looked through the window into the main control room where personnel immediately cut the transmission.

Coulthart stated he previously thought claims about NASA cutting feeds were nonsense until he witnessed it happen directly in front of him.

Warsaw has accused Moscow of orchestrating crimes on Polish soil

Poland’s latest accusations that Russia backed an act of sabotage on its railways are merely manufactured “war hysteria,” Moscow’s envoy to Warsaw has told RT.

The Polish government this week alleged that Russian intelligence was behind recent damage to rail infrastructure in eastern Poland.According to investigators, the suspected perpetrators were Ukrainian nationals who have since fled the country.

Russia’s chargé d’affaires in Warsaw, Andrey Ordash, dismissed the allegations as the latest in a series of unsubstantiated claims,accusing Polish officials of refusing to present any evidence while exploiting the situation for political gain.

“Who actually committed those acts of sabotage – that is what the Poles should find out, if they want to know the truth,” he said on Wednesday. Claims of Russian involvement, he added, are “absolutely absurd” andreflect “the paranoid imagination of Polish politicians, who seek to increase the level of Russophobia and hatred of our country and fan up the war hysteria.”(that’s true, the Poles first accused Ukraine and changed the target.)

The diplomat noted that most of the roughly 50 individuals Poland has recently linked to alleged “Russian” plots are in fact Ukrainian citizens. Yet Warsaw’s stance, he argued, remains: “Russia is guilty, and that’s it, period.”

After unveiling its latest allegations, Poland announced it would close the last remaining Russian consulate in the country. Moscow said it would respond in kind.

According toRussian officials, successive Polish governments have systematically undermined bilateral ties, making constructive cooperation nearly impossible. Ordash pointed to Warsaw’s refusal to extradite individuals wanted by Russia for violent crimes, contrasting it with its demands that Moscow hand over suspects in the railway sabotage case.

He also recalled Poland’s earlier refusal to extradite to Germany a Ukrainian suspect implicated in the 2022 Nord Stream pipeline attack. Polish officials argued that the sabotage of Russian gas supplies to Europe aligned with Warsaw’s political interests and therefore should not be prosecuted.

Two months ago Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and OpenAI CEO Sam Altmanstood side by side in San Jose, California, to announce a historic agreement between the two leaders in artificial intelligence.

Nvidia would invest $100 billion over a number of years, starting in 2026, as OpenAI’s AI supercomputing facilities come online, the duo said. The timing of the buildouts and the cost of each data center weren’t disclosed.

But in Nvidia’s quarterly financial reporton Wednesday,the chipmaker reminded investors that there’s a big difference between an announcement and a contract.

=•“There is no assurance that we will enter into definitive agreements with respect to the OpenAI opportunity or other potential investments==, or that any investment will be completed on expected terms,” Nvidia said in the risk factors section of its quarterly filing.

Nvidia has been on an investing binge of late, putting its ever-expanding cash hoard to use, and financially supporting companies that buy its graphics processing units, or GPUs. In addition to the OpenAI arrangement, Nvidia on Wednesday highlighted its $5 billion commitment to invest in Intel during the quarter and its agreement this week to invest up to $10 billion in Anthropic.

An OpenAI spokesperson didn’t provide a comment but pointed to Huang’s statements on the call, including his description of OpenAI as a “once-in-a-generation company” and his expectation that the investment will “translate to extraordinary returns.”

“There is no assurance that any investment will be completed on expected terms, if at all,” Nvidia said.

The key difference with OpenAI is the scale of the planned investment and the benchmarks that would need to be met for all the money to come through. A source told CNBC at the time of the announcement that an initial $10 billion would be available to OpenAI soon to help the company work towards deploying its first gigawatt of capacity.

Altman said recently that OpenAI will end the year on a $20 billion annualized revenue run rate, which is a massive number considering its flagship ChatGPT product is only three years old. Altman said the company expects to reach hundreds of billions of dollars in revenue by 2030. But that figure doesn’t come anywhere close to covering the company’s expenses.

In total, OpenAI has announced roughly $1.4 trillion in infrastructure spending with a number of partners as it seeks to continue building out its AI models and services.To get there, the company is reliant on outside capital.

Despite the uncertainty of the September agreement, Nvidia executives continue to sound bullish on the company’s work with OpenAI. On Nvidia’s earnings call, after the chipmaker reported a solid revenue and earnings beat along with stronger-than-expected guidance, CFO Colette Kress touted OpenAI’s growth.

“OpenAI recently shared that their weekly user base has grown to 800 million, enterprise customers has increased to 1 million and that their gross margins were healthy,” Kress said. She added that the two companies are “working on a strategic partnership” and that Nvidia is “focused on helping them build and deploy at least 10 gigawatts of AI data centers.”

And Huang said, “Everything that OpenAI does runs on Nvidia today.”

An OpenAI spokesperson didn’t provide a comment, but pointed to Huang’s commentary on the call, including his description of OpenAI as a “once-in-a-generation company” and his expectation that the investment will “translate to extraordinary returns.”

There’s no question that as OpenAI builds out data centers, it will keep spending money on Nvidia’s chips. But OpenAI has also partnered with Nvidia rival Advanced Micro Devices, agreeing last month to deploy 6 gigawatts of AMD’s Instinct GPUs over multiple years and across multiple generations of hardware, beginning in the second half of next year.

The AMD agreement has one critical component that Nvidia’s lacks: signatures.

As part of the pact, the company has issued OpenAI a warrant for up to 160 million shares of the chipmaker’s common stock, with vesting milestones tied to deployment volume and AMD’s share price. That agreement was signed on Oct. 5, by AMD CFO Jean Hu and OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar.

Scientists put moss on the outside of the International Space Station for 9 months — then kept it growing back on Earth

Moss spores have survived a prolonged trip to space, scientists reveal.

The spores spent nine months on the outside of the International Space Station (ISS) before returning to our planet, and over 80% of the spores were still able to reproduce when they arrived back on Earth.

The discovery improves our understanding of how plant species survive in extreme conditions, the researchers wrote in their findings, published Thursday (Nov. 20) in the journal iScience.

Moss thrives in some of the most extreme environments on Earth, from the cold peaks of the Himalayas to the dry, scorched sands of Death Valley.

Moss's resilience to adverse conditions makes it an ideal candidate for surviving in the harsh environment of outer space, where extreme temperature fluctuations, altered gravity, and high radiation exposure push life-forms to their limits.

Previous experiments have explored how plants might cope in space, but so far, they have focused on larger organisms such as bacteria or plant crops.

Now, researchers have shown that samples of the moss Physcomitrium patens (P. Patens) can not only survive but thrive in space.

First, the researchers tested three cell types of P. patens from various stages in the moss's reproductive cycle.

They found that sporophytes — cell structures that encase spores — showed the greatest stress tolerance when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light, freezing and heat.

Sporophyte samples were then placed outside of the ISS in a special exposure facility attached to Japan’s Kibo module, where the samples lived for around nine months in 2022. After this time, the samples were returned to Earth.

"Surprisingly, over 80% of the spores survived and many germinated normally," study lead author Tomomichi Fujita, a professor of plant biology at Hokkaido University in Japan, told Live Science in an email.

From this study, Fujita and his team developed a model that suggests the moss spores could actually survive for up to 5,600 days in space, or around 15 years.

Back on Earth, the team found that most of the conditions — including the vacuum of space, microgravity and extreme temperature fluctuations — had a limited impact on the moss spores.

However, samples that were exposed to light, particularly high-energy wavelengths of UV light, fared less well.

Levels of pigments used by the moss for photosynthesis, such as chlorophyll a, were significantly reduced as a result of light damage, which affected later moss growth.

Even though some moss samples faced damage from the conditions of outer space, P. patens still fared much better than other plant species that have been previously tested under similar conditions.

Fujita thinks the protective, spongy casing surrounding the spores may help defend against UV light and dehydration.

"This protective role may have evolved early in land plant history to help mosses colonize terrestrial habitats," he said.

While this may seem like an exercise in testing the limits of a single species, the "spores' success in space could offer a biological stepping stone for building ecosystems beyond our planet," Fujita said.

In the future, he hopes to test other species and better understand how these resilient cells survive such stressful conditions.

U.S. Space Command hosted a pinning ceremony on Nov. 7, 2025, at The Aerospace Corporation to officially award U.K. Space Command Commander Maj. Gen. Paul Tedman the U.S. Army Basic Space Badge.

Tedman earned the badge on Sept. 10, 2025, after serving 26 months as the deputy director of USSPACECOM’s strategy, plans and policy directorate (J5), from September 2021 to November 2023, and completing the required space training: Space 100, 200, and 300 courses.

Foreign service members must meet the same rigorous standards as U.S. personnel, including completing qualifying space training courses and serving in approved space operations positions.

“Today, we’re here to celebrate Maj. Gen. Paul Tedman’s awesome contributions to Army and Joint Space warfighting,” said Lt. Gen. Thomas James, former USSPACECOM deputy commander.

“Talk about a high-stakes impactful assignment for a partner. In the role of USSPACECOM J5 deputy director, his leadership and vision in space situational awareness; space control; and satellite communication strategy, plans, and policy, were vital.

His contributions to improving coordination with allies and partners were a game-changer.”

Tedman is the first British Army officer to earn and receive the honor. While not formally recognized by the British military, he can display the badge, paving the way for future reciprocal badge exchanges, like foreign jump wings for paratroopers.

“He's not just a leader; he's a true advocate for the space domain and its protection. Maj. Gen. Tedman, your passion and dedication are inspiring. It’s our pleasure to present you with the Army Basic Space Badge,” James said.

Awarding badges to partner-nation service members represents our mutual respect and common accomplishments, and champions the trust, collaboration, and interoperability in which our relationships are rooted.

Though many accolades – such as the Army Basic Space Badge – acknowledge an individual’s success and contributions, they also serve to remind others of the tremendous value of allied integration.

As the U.K. Space Commander, Tedman plays a key role in the U.S.-U.K. space partnership, facilitating direct communication, collaboration, and alignment of strategic objectives between the two commands.

Tedman also reflected on the significance of allied integration during his time at USSPACECOM.

The friendships and bonds I established in the U.S. have endured in my current role as Commander, U.K. Space Command.”

He concluded, “The U.K.-U.S. space relationship is going from strength to strength. Just last month, we conducted a first-of-its-kind bilateral co-orbital Rendezvous and Proximity Operation with USSPACECOM.

I will wear my badge with immense pride, and it will always remind me of the fantastic people I worked with in the U.S.”

The Army Space Badge was established as a unique Army badge in February 2011, following approval by the Chief of Staff of the Army.

Before this, it was known as the Air Force Space Badge and was awarded to Army personnel beginning in 2006.

In 2012, an Exception to Policy was approved by the Department of the Army G1, allowing foreign military personnel to be awarded the Space Badge.

The establishment of the badge reflects the increasing importance of space as a warfighting domain.

The U.S. and U.K. have forged an increasingly strong partnership in space, collaborating across diverse fields including satellite technology, scientific research, and space situational awareness.

This deepened cooperation includes multinational efforts like Multi-National Force Operation Olympic Defender, which has expanded its focus to optimize space operations, improve mission assurance, enhance resilience of space-based systems, synchronize efforts to strengthen deterrence, and reduce space debris. The Cygnus X star-forming region is about 4,600 light-years away. It contains a huge number of massive protostars, and one of the most massive star-forming molecular clouds known.

With all of this activity, it's not surprising that it also hosts some objects that have puzzled astronomers.

One of them is the so-named "Diamond Ring," an usual bubble blown in space by a massive star.

While other stellar bubbles are spherical and expand rapidly, the Diamond Ring is flat and is expanding slowly. An international team of researchers have figured out what's going on.

Their results are in research published in Astronomy and Astrophysics titled "The Diamond Ring in Cygnus X: Advanced stage of an expanding bubble of ionised carbon."

The lead author is Simon Dannhauer from the Institute of Physics at the University of Cologne in Germany.

"The radiation and stellar winds emitted by OB stars inject substantial radiative, thermal, and mechanical energy into the interstellar medium (ISM)," the authors write.

This stellar feedback is important and can reduce star formation in its vicinity. Recently, astronomers have developed a method of quantifying this stellar feedback by using the fine structure of ionized carbon (CII).

These CII emissions do a great job of tracing the boundary and interface between ionized regions and neutral gas. This is exactly where stellar winds and radiation interact with the ISM.

"The ‘Diamond Ring’ within Cygnus X, south-west of the DR21 ridge, stands out as a prominent, nearly circular structure in infrared (IR) and far-infrared (FIR) emission, spanning approximately 6 pc in diameter," the researchers write.

It contains an HII region, which is hydrogen ionized by powerful UV radiation coming from massive young stars.

The researchers say that the HII region is very similar to other regions associated with expanding stellar bubbles, however those regions are routinely seen in ionized carbon (CII).

This new research is based on observations from SOFIA, the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy, which ended operations in September, 2022.

SOFIA's CII observations show that the Diamond Ring is tilted, that is has a mass of about 103 M⊙, or about 1,000 solar masses.

It's also expanding at a rate of about 1.3 km s−1, or about 4,680 km/h. While that is incredibly fast in our Earthly frame of reference, it's a relatively sedate pace for an expanding stellar bubble.

The bubble, and the HII region, were created by a B0.5e star. All B-type stars are hot, but B0.5 stars are among the hottest.

The 'e' indicates emission lines, which means that the star is rotating very rapidly and ejecting material from its equator, which forms a disk of material. The disk is where the emissions come from.

Surveillance Video of Charlie Kirk’s Alleged Assassin is Missing from Sheriff’s Office!

KUTV 2News had requested the surveillance footage of Robinson’s surrender just weeks after the brutal assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

Kirk is said to have been gunned down with a single .30-06 rifle round on September 10, while speaking at a Turning Point event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The shooter allegedly used a scoped Mauser Model 98 bolt-action rifle.

Robinson’s parents and a family friend brought him to the police station to turn himself in less than two full days after the shooting, after allegedly recognizing the weapon found by police and shared with the media.

“Our job was not to interview; our job was just to get him here,” Washington County Sheriff Nate Brooksby during a press conference on September 17. “Within the hour, my friend drove Tyler and his parents to my office, where he was greeted by plainclothes detectives.”

2News submitted public-records requests for the surveillance footage of Robinson walking into the sheriff’s office and any holding-area video.

“We do not have any records responsive to this portion of the request, as Tyler Robinson did not go to or enter the jail area,” a records officer with the Sheriff’s Office told the station.

The station reported, “Holding room video was denied as part of the investigation.”

When pressed with a broader request for any surveillance video of Robinson entering the building, officials suddenly changed their story, claiming the footage no longer exists because it was automatically deleted after the department’s 30-day retention period.

Specifically, the reporters requested “surveillance video showing Tyler Robinson walking into the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.”

“Our office does not have any applicable records responsive to this request, as the surveillance footage is no longer available after the 30-day retention period,” a records officer told the reporters.

The office stated the video was “never sent out to any law enforcement or legal agency,” meaning the main investigating agency in Utah County never received it, and no one bothered to preserve it.

Veteran Utah criminal defense attorney Rudy Bautista, who has handled capital cases for 26 years, told 2News the disappearance of the video is deeply troubling.

“For the state of Utah, we would certainly hope that this video is available,” Bautista said.

Rocket Lab launches hypersonic test flight for US military

Rocket Lab launched its hypersonic test vehicle for the sixth time ever this week.

The HASTE suborbital rocket lifted off Tuesday (Nov. 18) at 8 a.m. EST (1300 GMT) from Rocket Lab's Launch Complex 2 on Wallops Island, Virginia, on a mission for the U.S. Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) and Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

The launch, which Rocket Lab named "Prometheus Run," was a success, "advancing national interests in safeguarding the homeland through the testing of advanced technologies for missile defense," Rocket Lab wrote in a description of the flight.

HASTE is a modified suborbital version of Rocket Lab's 59-foot-tall (18 meters) Electron launcher, which gives small satellites dedicated rides to orbit. That lineage is in the newer vehicle's name, which is short for "Hypersonic Accelerator Suborbital Test Electron."

HASTE debuted in June 2023 and has now flown a total of six times. The rocket serves as a testbed, providing "reliable, high-cadence flight test opportunities needed to advance hypersonic and suborbital system technology development," according to Rocket Lab's website.

We don't know much about the technologies that got tested on "Prometheus Run," which isn't terribly surprising given that the U.S. military booked the flight.

"Led by MDA, the mission deployed a government-provided primary payload developed by the John Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, and multiple secondary payloads by federal and industry partners, which tested key technologies for missile defense applications," Rocket Lab's postflight statement reads.

Prometheus Run" launched within 14 months of its booking, the company added — a pretty quick turnaround for a government-sponsored test flight.

"Accessing the commercial and non-traditional ecosystem is a key enabler to accelerating progress in the hypersonics community of interest, particularly for closing mission timelines and driving towards mass and affordability," Lt. Col. Nicholas Estep, director of DIU’s Emerging Technology Portfolio, said in the same statement. "

Working with MDA to demonstrate commercially-focused sub-orbital launch services is a great example of that axiom."

SpaceX's Transporter-15 mission is poised to deliver more than 100 spacecraft to Earth orbit.

A Falcon 9 rocket will launch Transporter-15 today (Nov. 20) from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. Liftoff is expected from Vandenberg's Space Launch Complex-4E during a 57-minute window that opens at 1:18 p.m. EST (1818 GMT).

Transporter-15 will deliver more than 100 satellites into a sun-synchronous orbit, where each will begin its own, individualized mission.

A livestream of the launch will be available on the SpaceX Transporter-15 mission website, the company's profile on X, as well as on Space.com beginning about 15 minutes prior to liftoff.

The mission continues SpaceX's increasing frequency of rideshare launches, and follows on the heels of the late-summer liftoff of the Transporter-14 flight, which delivered dozens of cubesats, tech demos and research craft into low Earth orbit (LEO).

Not all of Transporter-15's payloads were confirmed or identified before launch, but among those that have, there are notable contributions from organizations like the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Taiwan Space Agency (TASA), as well as companies and organizations like Planet Labs, SEOPS, Leaf Space and various universities and educational institutions.

ESA's HydroGNSS-1 and HydroGNSS-2 satellites will fly as part of the agency's first Scout mission. They will study Earth's water cycle using the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) reflectometry measurement technique to quite literally "scout for water," according to ESA.

Taiwan is launching the FORMOSAT-8A Earth-imaging satellite, as well as three domestically built cubesats: Bellbird-1, Black Kite-1 and TORO-8U-1, from Tron Future Tech, Rapidtek Technologies Inc. and Pyras Technology Inc., respectively.

They will test high-speed data transferal communications, Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and conduct remote sensing to monitor algae, plankton and ocean health.

Pelican imaging satellites 5 and 6, as well as 36 SuperDoves in the "Flock 4H" group, have been included on the rideshare launch by Planet Labs.

The company's expanding Earth-observation Pelican network is designed to "efficiently capture fleeting and emerging events, especially those that may anticipate new patterns or risks," the Planet Labs website says.

The accompanying SuperDoves will join Planet Labs' PlanetScope monitoring mission.

BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. (AFNS) - Air Force Global Strike Command conducted a test launch of an unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, Nov. 5.

This test, designated GT 254, evaluated the ongoing reliability, operational readiness, and accuracy of the ICBM system, a cornerstone of America's national defense.

A team of AFGSC Airmen from the 625th Strategic Operations Squadron employing the Airborne Launch Control System from aboard a U.S. Navy E-6B Mercury aircraft, initiated the launch, testing the effectiveness and continuous availability of the ALCS, a backup command and control system for the ICBM force.

“GT 254 is not just a launch – it's a comprehensive assessment to verify and validate the ICBM system's ability to perform its critical mission,” said Lt. Col. Karrie Wray, 576th Flight Test Squadron commander.

“The data collected during the test is invaluable in ensuring the continued reliability and accuracy of the ICBM weapon system.”

The Western Test Range at Vandenberg SFB serves as the testing ground for this critical effort.

This launch is part of a series of routine and periodic activities crucial to assessing and validating the Minuteman III's capabilities.

These tests, conducted with stringent safety protocols, allow AFGSC to collect valuable data.

“This test validated the reliability, adaptability, and modularity of the weapon system,” said Col. Dustin Harmon, 377th Test and Evaluation Group commander.

“Through this comprehensive assessment, conducted by a dedicated team of AFGSC Airmen, we ensure the highest standards of integrity and reliability for the Nation's ICBM system.”

The 377th Test and Evaluation Group, the Air Force's only dedicated ICBM test organization, oversaw the meticulous planning and execution of the test launch.

The unarmed ICBM's reentry vehicle traveled approximately 4,200 miles to the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command's Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site at the Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

The Reagan Test Site, equipped with advanced sensors, including high-fidelity metric and signature radars, optical sensors, and telemetry, collected critical data during the terminal phase of flight.

RTS team members analyze this data to evaluate system performance and support the research, development, test and evaluation of America's defense and space programs.

Airmen from all three AFGSC missile wings comprised the task force supporting the test launch, while maintainers from the 90th Missile Wing at F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming, provided essential maintenance support.

This collective effort underscored the commitment and expertise of the Airmen who maintain and operate this vital weapon system.

As the U.S. Air Force modernizes its ICBM force with the LGM-35A Sentinel weapon system, maintaining the readiness of the existing Minuteman III remains a top priority.

“As we modernize to the Sentinel weapon system, we must continue to maintain the readiness of the existing Minuteman III fleet.

Israel used widely banned cluster munitions in its recent 13-month war in Lebanon, photos of munition remnants in south Lebanon seen by the Guardian suggest.

The images, which have been examined by six different arms experts, appear to show the remnants of two different types of Israeli cluster munitions found in three different locations: south of the Litani River in the forested valleys of Wadi Zibqin, Wadi Barghouz and Wadi Deir Siryan.

The evidence is the first indication that Israel has used cluster munitions in nearly two decades since it employed them in the 2006 Lebanon war. It would also be the first time that Israel was known to have used the two new types of cluster munitions found – the 155mm M999 Barak Eitan and 227mm Ra’am Eitan guided missiles.

Cluster munitions are container bombs which release many smaller submunitions, small “bomblets”, over a wide area the size of several football fields. The use of cluster munitions is widely banned as up to 40% of submunitions do not explode upon impact, posing a danger to civilians who might later stumble upon them and be killed when they explode.

To date, 124 states have joined the convention on cluster munitions, which forbids their use, production and transfer. Israel is not a party to the convention and is not bound by it.

“We believe the use of cluster munitions is always in conflict with a military’s duty to respect international humanitarian law because of their indiscriminate nature at time of use and afterwards,” said Tamar Gabelnick, the director of the Cluster Munition Coalition. “Their wide area impact means they cannot distinguish between military and civilian targets and the cluster munition remnants kill and maim civilians for decades after use.”

The Israeli military neither confirmed nor denied its use of cluster munitions but said it “uses only lawful weapons, in accordance with international law and while mitigating harm to civilians”.

IDF Releases Footage of Massive Hamas Tunnel in Rafah Where Lt. Hadar Goldin’s Remains Were Held for Over a Decade

The Israel Defense Forces on Thursday released footage and details of one of the largest and most sophisticated Hamas terror tunnels uncovered to date in the southern Gaza Strip — a sprawling underground complex where the remains of Lt. Hadar Goldin were held by the terror group in recent years before being returned to Israel last week.

The IDF described the tunnel, located in Rafah near the Philadelphi Corridor, as “one of the most significant and complex” discovered in Gaza.

Stretching more than seven kilometers (4.3 miles) and plunging as deep as 25 meters (82 feet), the network contains approximately 80 separate rooms.

“The route runs beneath a densely populated residential neighborhood near the Philadelphi Corridor and continues through sensitive civilian areas, including a UNRWA compound, mosques, clinics, kindergartens, and schools,” the military said in a statement.

Elite units from the Yahalom combat engineering corps and Shayetet 13 naval commandos uncovered the tunnel, with support from other Southern Command forces operating in the area.

Among the roughly 80 rooms were living quarters for Hamas terrorists designed for extended stays, weapons storage facilities, and planning centers for attacks.

The IDF said several rooms served as command posts for senior Hamas leaders, including former Rafah Brigade commander Muhammad Shabana, who was eliminated alongside top Hamas figure Mohammed Sinwar in an Israeli strike this past May.

Hamas claimed earlier this month that it had “recovered” Goldin’s body from a tunnel in the Rafah area, now under full IDF control.

The terror group transferred the remains to Israel shortly afterward — more than 11 years after Goldin, 23, was killed and his body seized by Hamas gunmen during a ceasefire violation in the 2014 Gaza war, known in Israel as Operation Protective Edge.

The IDF had conducted extensive searches in the Rafah area over the past year but lacked precise intelligence on the location of Goldin’s remains until recent operations.

Goldin, an officer in the Givati Brigade, was laid to rest last week following the return of his body, closing a painful chapter for his family and the nation.

The military emphasized that the tunnel’s deliberate placement under civilian infrastructure exemplifies Hamas’s use of Gaza’s population as human shields while building an extensive underground terror network.

Israeli strikes across Gaza undermine fragile ceasefire, Qatar and Saudi Arabia warn

Saudi Arabia and Qatar on Thursday heavily condemned recent Israeli strikes on Hamas targets across the Gaza Strip, with Doha stating such strikes "threaten to undermine the ceasefire."

In a statement, Qatar's Foreign Ministry "strongly condemned" the attacks, which have resulted in martyrs and injuries, and considers them a dangerous escalation that threatens to undermine the ceasefire agreement in the Strip."

Furthermore, Qatar reaffirmed its "firm and unwavering position in supporting the Palestinian cause," stressing the need for international efforts to maintain the fragile ceasefire in Gaza.

On Wednesday, the IDF targeted a senior Hamas terrorist in a strike on a building in the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City.

The military said that prior to the strikes, several terrorists opened fire in the area where IDF soldiers are operating in Khan Yunis. The IDF then struck Hamas terror targets across the Strip in response.

Riyadh's condemnation of Israel's strikes also included a denunciation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to southern Syria on Wednesday, along with top government and defense officials such as Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, Defense Minister Israel Katz, and IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir.

Middle Eastern nations slam Netanyahu's visit to Syrian buffer zone

According to Saudi Arabia, Netanyahu violated Syria's sovereignty via the "deliberate incursion by the prime minister...and a number of his government officials into the broader area south of Syria."

On Wednesday, Netanyahu's visit also prompted the condemnation of Damascus's Foreign Ministry, which said it considered the prime minister's visit "a serious violation of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity."

Syria also reiterated its demand for a full Israeli withdrawal from areas it called the occupied Syrian territories.

In recent weeks, the IDF has reported multiple cases of terrorists approaching positions beyond the Yellow Line and being targeted.

The IDF had killed several terrorists earlier who were identified crossing into IDF-controlled northern Gaza, who, according to the military, posed a threat to troops.

The military has repeatedly emphasized that the ceasefire does not prevent action against imminent threats to soldiers or Israeli civilians.

Britain’s ground-breaking DragonFire laser has shot down high-speed drones in new trials, as a £316 million contract is awarded to MBDA deliver new systems to the Royal Navy from 2027.

Its most recent trials at the MOD’s Hebrides range involved drones which can fly up to 650km/h - twice the top speed of a Formula 1 car - including a UK first of above-the-horizon tracking, targeting and shooting down such drones.

The laser system costs just £10 per shot and is accurate enough to hit a £1 coin from a kilometre away.

It is a more cost-effective method in comparison to traditional missile systems, which cost upwards of hundreds of thousands of pounds per shot.

DragonFire will be fitted to a Royal Navy Type 45 destroyer by 2027 – five years faster than originally planned.

The cutting-edge DragonFire laser will help to create and sustain 590 jobs across the UK, showing how defence is an engine for growth.

This includes 200 highly skilled jobs in Scotland, 185 jobs in the South West of England and 75 jobs in the East of England, delivering on the Government’s Plan for Change.

Minister for Defence Readiness and Industry, Luke Pollard MP, said:

SDF shoots down ISIS drones launched from positions held by Damascus government-affiliated factions

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Media Center issued a statement confirming that it "shot down two drones launched from positions held by Damascus government forces along the Ghanem al-Ali front in eastern Raqqa countryside, which has been under attack for a week by government-affiliated factions and their militias."

The statement said that "the first drone was identified as a Matrice M30, and the second as an offensive FPV (First Person View) type."

The statement continued: "After securing the wreckage of the two drones and reaching the targeted location, our technical teams were able to retrieve and analyze the data stored on the memory card of the M30 drone.

During the analysis, it became clear that the drone was operated by a group of foreign militants affiliated with the ISIS terrorist organization, stationed at positions held by Damascus government-affiliated factions, directly opposite the defensive lines of the Syrian Democratic Forces."

The statement underlined that "these findings conclusively confirm the involvement of several factions of the Damascus government in cooperating with foreign ISIS-affiliated elements, allowing them to use their locations and positions to conduct reconnaissance and drone attacks.

This enables the terrorist organization to rebuild its capabilities in an even more dangerous manner.

Our forces will publish the documented images and materials to the public in the interest of transparency and to highlight the seriousness of these affiliations, which pose a direct threat to civilian safety and regional stability, including the ongoing fight against a terrorist organization."

The SDF called on "our partners in the International Coalition to closely examine these alarming findings and launch an investigation into the involvement of foreign individuals affiliated with ISIS in operating drones from within front-line areas.

We also urge them to pursue all parties that support or are complicit in providing technical and logistical assistance to such operations.

Ignoring these violations undermines regional security and enables ISIS to regroup and threaten civilians and communities."

Another drone washes up on Latvia's shore

A drone washed up on Liepāja's Karosta beach on Wednesday afternoon, November 19th. It is most likely the remains of an air defense target, the National Armed Forces (NBS) told Latvian Television.

The State Police announced on Wednesday evening that they had received reports that an object resembling an unmanned aerial vehicle had been found washed up on Karosta Beach in Liepāja.

The State Police went to the scene and also informed the armed forces.

Such an air defense target is most likely not explosive, the NBS commented.

An investigation is still ongoing and it is possible that the drone was even used as a training object by one of the Baltic states, but this is not yet established definitively, NBS Colonel Māris Tūtins told Latvian Radio.

Tūtins was reluctant to predict how long the results of the investigation might take.

The fact that the drone was painted bright red suggests that stealth was not one of its priorities.

The incident is the latest in a series in which drones or parts of drones have washed up on the Latvian and Estonian coasts.

Drone warning issued after major rise in unauthorised flights around Newcastle Airport

A warning has been issued to people with drones after a major rise in unauthorised flights around Newcastle International Airport. In 2025 so far, 165 flights have been recorded in Newcastle's Flight Restriction Zone (FRZ), an increase of 371% on the previous year, with only 35 of these flights from January to October of 2024.

This rise brings a huge safety concern for the airport, with staff working alongside Northumbria Police to make people aware of the FRZ, and how they can ensure that they are flying their drones safely.

The FRZ covers a 5km radius around the airport, encompassing areas such as Ponteland, Darras Hall, Westerhope, Great Park, and some parts of Kenton and Gosforth.

The zone is monitored by the Air Traffic Control Team, who help to safeguard aircraft operations, keeping both passengers and crew safe.

In order to educate people on what the FRZ is and whether they are in it, the airport has been working with local schools and businesses, as well as the police.

Paul Farmer, the airport's director of operations, said: "This increase in drone activity around the airport and in our FRZ is a definite concern.

There is a large residential area at the south of the airport where we have been proactive in communicating with the community about this issue.

"We have technology which can pinpoint the location of drone pilots within the area, and we can pass that information on to police.

We will never compromise safety so it is important to tackle this escalating risk before it causes greater problems.

"We have also looked to addressed the lack of information about how people can obtain permission to fly in the FRZ, and have seen an increase in these requests being made.

The key thing is that we are aware of what is going on, as if it is something we can control that is no problem, but if we are unaware it becomes a risk to our operations."

Superintendent Billy Mulligan of Northumbria Police said: "This is a massive emerging area of concern for us, with a range of people now using drones more widely.

Most people are hobbyists who aren't aware of what they are doing, but we have also seen a rise in drones used in professional settings, such as by estate agents or wedding photographers.

"With Black Friday almost here and Christmas on the horizon, we are focusing on education through a three stage process. First we will educate people, making them aware of what they are doing and telling them how to gain permission to fly in the FRZ.

"Then, we will warn them if they continue to persist, and finally, when this does not work, prosecution is possible for this criminal offence, with potentially unlimited fines and up to five years in prison if they are found guilty, depending on the severity of the incident.

Multiple drones spotted over Zeeland port, operators remain unknown

Several drones were spotted in the port area of Terneuzen in Zeeland on Monday evening, Omroep Zeeland reported.

The sightings took place over the port area and the Dow chemical plant, locations classified as no-fly zones because of their importance to critical infrastructure.

“We’ve never seen so many drones before,” said Johan Bresseleers, spokesperson for the North Sea Port (NSP). According to a police spokesperson, several members of the public reported the drones.

“We check each report to see if we can locate the operator. If we can, we can stop them and determine their intentions,” she told ANP.

Bresseleers told AD that he observed between 12 and 20 drones on Monday evening. Anyone wishing to fly a drone in the area is obligated to register this with the NSP prior to doing so.

“When the number of drones exceeds what we’ve registered, it’s safe to say it’s very strange,” the NSP spokesperson added.

The incident comes after earlier drone sightings in the area. The Coast Guard observed multiple drones near Oostkapelle on November 12, 2025, but the operators could not be traced.

In recent weeks, unknown drones have also been reported more frequently near military sites in both the Netherlands and Belgium.

The police are investigating the case, but no arrests have been made so far. Residents who spot drones are advised to note their appearance and report it to the police.

Information on drone regulations can be found on the Dutch government’s website.

So far, it has not been revealed if authorities suspect the drones were connected to a foreign state.

Romania scrambled its own military aircraft at about 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday when a drone flew 8 kilometers into the country’s airspace before falling off radar.

The country evacuated two villages near the Ukrainian border on Tuesday after a Russian drone strike set a liquefied natural gas tanker on fire.

Poland also deployed its own air force overnight, and closed two airports in the east of the country for several hours to give the military all available airspace and resources.

There was unrest in Poland in September when a swarm of Russian drones entered that countries airspace, prompting the deployment of Dutch F-35s to help protect the NATO ally.

Poland on Wednesday announced plans to deploy 10,000 troops to protect critical infrastructure after an explosion damaged a critical railroad line used to supply Ukraine during its ongoing defense against Russia’s incursion there.

Drone incursions raise national security concerns

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - U.S. airspace is experiencing a rise in unauthorized drone incursions, particularly around military installations. This threat, posed by small unmanned aerial systems, presents a challenge to national defense.

Industry experts are working with the complexities of this aerial threat. Rob Creighton, founder and CEO of the defense company Windlift, highlights the current lack of effective defenses.

“There’s really not a good defense against drone attack,” Creighton said. He said that traditional ground-based radar systems are limited by the Earth’s curvature and cannot detect low-flying drones that hug the terrain.

Furthermore, existing defense systems are designed for larger aircraft, leaving vulnerability to smaller, more agile threats.

Detection solutions

Windlift is developing solutions to address this gap in defense. Creighton said their approach uses elevated detection systems.

“Our system allows you to do [this] because we have this tethered drone that can fly around eight hundred feet and we can kind of look down and see these low flying drones coming in and give our soldiers and civilians that are maybe under threat of drone attack a little early warning and even allow you to deploy countermeasures faster,” he said. This elevated perspective offers an advantage in detecting small unmanned aerial systems.

Economic challenges

The challenge extends beyond detection; the economics of countering these threats are significant.

Windlift and other defense industry players are seeking cost-effective methods for detection and counter-drone measures. Creighton said the disparity is notable.

“You can’t spend a Patriot missile on a small drone. It’s just the economics. You’ll lose that war in the long run,” he said.

To address this, Windlift recently signed an agreement with a Finnish company exploring the concept of “drones fighting drones.”

However, this approach comes with challenges, as small unmanned drones can only fly for limited periods of 20 to 30 minutes at a time, requiring early warning systems to deploy defensive drone swarms effectively.

As airspace becomes more complex, ongoing engagement with leaders in the drone and counter-drone industry is needed to understand both the evolving problems and the solutions being developed to safeguard national security.

The pursuit of effective and economically viable drone defense strategies remains a priority for the defense community.

Punchbowl News reported Wednesday thatGOP leaders decided to ban Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) from traveling for three months due to an "alcohol-related episode" in Mexico this summer. In details laid out by Punchbowl reporter Andrew Desiderio, the original incident took placewhile Crenshaw and other Republicans were on an official Congressional delegation (CODEL) visit to Mexicoin August, andCrenshaw was "having drinks with a group of Mexican officials."

"One Mexican official cracked a crude joke that made a woman present uncomfortable. Crenshaw toasted the remarks," Desiderio wrote on his X account.

Following the August CODEL, Crenshaw reportedly met with House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and House Intelligence Committee chairman Rick Crawford. (R-Ark.)Desiderio's sources told him that the meeting grew "heated," and that Crawford apparently wanted Crenshaw kicked off of the prestigious committee.

Johnson reportedly didn't strip Crenshaw of his seat on the committee, though the Texas Republican was banned from international travel for 90 days. Crenshaw's cartel task force was also disbanded. (Cowardly Johnson)

Desiderio further reported that Crenshaw and Crawford were squabbling over appropriations for counterintelligence programs in the annual legislation to fund intelligence agencies. Crawford had been pushing for additional funding, and was reportedly "frustrated with Crenshaw’s lack of support for the plan." Those funds were ultimately included in the version of the bill that reached the House floor.

Today's jobs report, which had something for everyone, including forecast-busting payrolls offset by the highest unemployment rate in 4 years at 4.4% (driven by another jump in black unemployment), was indisputably strong when it comes to one thing: the rotation from foreign born workers to domestic ones.

To wit: in September, the number of native-born workers surged by 676K (after the August drop of 561K), while foreign-born workers dropped by 70K.

Now since the month-to-month changes are largely driven by seasonal factors, they don't convey the full picture. What does, is a longer-term study such as the one below, which shows that since Trump entered the White House and his policies started impacting the economy, the number of foreign born workers has slumped from a record 33.7 million in March 2025 to 32.1 million, a drop of $1.6 million. This has been offset by a slow but consistent increase in native-born workers which had been unchanged for six years since 2019 until the start of 2025, at which point it started to rise again, and has increased from 131.2 million in March 2025 to a new record high of 133.2 million in September.

As a reminder, right before the covid crash the number of foreign-born workers was about 28.7 million, and increased by a whopping 4.5 million under Biden, while the number of native-born workers was actually down, a decline which serious "economists" blamed on demographics, a lack of willingness to work, and anything else.

It turns out, the number of native-borns could have very easily gone up if only someone remove the massive overhang of millions of illegals flooding through the border and taking away jobs (at a massive paycut) which perfectly capable native-born Americans would have taken.

Government agencies are going to pinpoint causes of food allergies, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said on Nov. 17 at an event held by an organization that funds and promotes research aimed at preventing and treating food allergies.

Kennedy said that while there have been lots of animal studies on food allergies, there has been a dearth of human studies, including research that looks at whether allergies are caused by aluminum-containing vaccines.

“It’s pretty easy to figure this out, and we will figure it out,” Kennedy said at the Washington event held by the Food Allergy Fund.

A number of vaccines contain aluminum salts as adjuvants, or ingredients that help trigger a stronger immune response.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says on its website that aluminum salts “have been used safely in vaccines for more than 70 years,” although it notes that a study from CDC researchers and other scientists in 2022 found a possible link between exposure to aluminum from vaccines and the development of asthma.

A study based on surveys from mothers of homeschooled children, published in 2017, found that vaccinated children were more likely to have allergies than unvaccinated children.

President Donald Trump said in September that the government was removing aluminum from vaccines. No official steps have been taken, but the panel that advises the CDC on vaccines recently said it would analyze the safety of vaccine ingredients such as aluminum, and plans to discuss in a December meeting “adjuvants and contaminants.”

Some experts believe the rise in allergies to peanuts and other substances over the years stems from avoidance of those substances. The American Academy of Pediatrics in 2000 said parents should not expose children to peanuts until they turn 3 years old. Peanut allergies have dropped since those recommendations were reversed, a recent study found.

Kennedy said he does not think the spike in food allergies is due to avoidance, citing that his own home was filled with peanut products, yet five of his children still developed allergies, and that countries where peanut butter was introduced did not see large increases in peanut allergies.

Now that we're making progress on Epstein - after President Trump and Mike Johnson were forced to cave under overwhelming pressure for DOJ disclosure - a logical next step is to look into who was funding the notorious sex-trafficker.

On Thursday morning, Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) called for an investigation into whether JPMorgan Chase deliberately concealed suspicious transactions by Epstein.

You really just need to look at Exhibit A in Wyden's memo (dated Wednesday) based on unsealed court records: the number of transactions flagged as suspicious between 2002 - 2016, vs. a flurry of almost $1.3 billion in suspicious transactions that the bank scrambled to file right after Epstein died in jail awaiting trial.

Wyden writes:

The unsealed court records include copies of SARs that JPMC filed on Epstein’s accounts between 2002 and 2019. Between 2002 and 2016, JPMC filed 7 SARs flagging only $4.3 million in suspicious transactions from Epstein’s accounts.¹ Only after Epstein was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges did JPMC report the full extent of Epstein’s suspicious financial activity. In August and September of 2019, JPMC filed two SARs flagging more than 5,000 suspicious wire transfers moving approximately $1.3 billion in and out of Epstein’s accounts.² This is the strongest evidence yet that JPMC should face an investigation for failure to appropriately monitor and report Epstein’s financial activity.

According to internal bank emails, JPMorgan may have held off on filing the SARs (suspicious activity reports) because it wanted "to continue working with Epstein," who was a great source of referrals despite firing him as a client in 2013, the report found.

The bank said in late October that "it was flagging about 4,700 transactions, totaling more than $1 billion, because they were potentially related to reports of human trafficking involving Mr. Epstein. It also mentioned Mr. Epstein’s wire transfers to Russian banks and sensitivities around “his relationships with two U.S. presidents.” Mr. Epstein at times was close with President Trump and former President Bill Clinton," according to the NYT.

Wyden said in a statement that it was "clear that JPMorgan Chase ought to face criminal investigation for the way it enabled Epstein’s horrific crimes," and that both Congress and the DOJ should investigate the bank - which has repeatedly issued statements of regret for working with Epstein, and claims it did all it could with the information it had at the time.

"The second the government finally made public the sex trafficking details in 2019 — information they clearly had for years — we identified for law enforcement a range of Epstein’s past transactions intended to assist with the investigation," said bank spokeswoman Patricia Wexler on Thursday.

Texas busts 31 illegal immigrant truckers in one-day operation, most held California CDLs

"When illegal immigrants break the law and illegally drive on our roads, they endanger the lives of countless Texans and Americans.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that state and federal authorities apprehended 31 illegal immigrant commercial truck drivers during a one-day enforcement sweep along Interstate 40, escalating concerns about unvetted and improperly licensed commercial drivers operating nationwide.

The joint “commercial vehicle enforcement” operation took place on November 11 in Wheeler County and involved the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

During 105 commercial vehicle inspections, DPS troopers were unable to verify the lawful presence of 31 truck drivers, even though each presented a state-issued commercial driver’s license. All 31 were referred to ICE, which later confirmed that every one of them was in the United States illegally. According to DPS, most of the CDLs were issued in California, a state that allows driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants and has faced repeated scrutiny over its commercial licensing practices. None of the licenses came from Texas.

Governor Greg Abbott blasted California’s policies in his statement announcing the operation.

“Millions of Texans drive on our highways every day,” Abbott said. “When illegal immigrants break the law and illegally drive on our roads, they endanger the lives of countless Texans and Americans."

"While liberal states like California issue licenses to illegal immigrants and risk the lives of Americans, Texas will work with our federal partners to maintain safe roads and apprehend illegal immigrants to protect our communities.”

The discovery in Wheeler County comes amid a growing list of deadly incidents involving illegal immigrant truck drivers who obtained CDLs in states with weak or improperly enforced licensing standards. One of the most high-profile cases involved Harjinder Singh, an illegal immigrant who crossed the southern border in 2018. Despite failing English-language and road-sign tests, he obtained a California and Washington commercial driver’s license. In August, he was charged in Fort Pierce, Florida, for a catastrophic crash that killed three people. Federal investigators later determined that several states, including California and Washington, were issuing CDLs to individuals who did not meet federal requirements.

Another recent case involved Jashanpreet Singh, a 21-year-old illegal immigrant from India who entered the United States in 2022 and was released by the Biden administration under its “alternatives to detention” policy. In November, Singh was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated after allegedly plowing his semi-truck into congested traffic on Interstate 10 in San Bernardino County, California. The fiery crash killed at least three people and injured several others. Toxicology tests confirmed he was impaired, and ICE has since placed a detainer on him.

$3 trillion gone in 6 hours, Australia smashed

Australia is getting well and truly hammered today as tidal wave of fear grips the global economy, following an apparant false dawn in the US.

Australia is copping a hammering as the ASX dropped to a six-month low after $US2 trillion ($3.1 trillion) was wiped off Wall Street in just six hours overnight.

It was not going the way everybody expected after Nvidia, the world’s biggest company, posted massive profits on Thursday — supposedly allaying fears of an AI bubble.

Overnight, the S&P 500 quickly gave back all the gains - and more - that followed the chip titan’s bumper earnings in a stunning backflip on Friday morning (AEDT).

At one point it was shedding $15 billion per minute as Wall Street completely came off the boil following a strong open.

BREAKING: The S&P 500 has now erased -$1.5 trillion in market cap between 10:40 AM ET and 12:20 PM ET.

That's -$15 billion PER MINUTE for 100 minutes straight.
