Fulton County prosecutors are preparing sprawling racketeering charges against Trump over his effort to challenge the 2020 election in Georgia.

According to a leak to The Guardian, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis will likely indict Trump in the first two weeks of August.

Fani Willis based her investigation on President Trump’s call with Georgia officials that was later doctored and leaked to the fake news outlet Washington Post. The WaPo published a completely fraudulent text of the call. These phony charges have already been debunked by The Gateway Pundit and others.

The infamous phone call between Trump and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger was recorded by Raffensperger and his office. Raffensperger’s team then leaked and lied about it to the far-left Washington Post.

Fani Willis is now considering racketeering charges against Trump because there is so-called ‘evidence’ that Trump’s effort to challenge the election in Georgia did not originate in the state as a grassroots movement.

Since the racketeering statute in Georgia requires prosecutors to show a pattern of activity on at least two “qualifying” crimes, Fani Willis’s team will pursue the indictment on statutes related to “influencing witnesses and computer trespass.” – The Guardian reported.

The exact evidence is unclear, however, the computer trespass charge is related to efforts to access and examine the Dominion Voting Systems machines in Coffee County.

The ‘influencing witness’ charge may be related to Trump’s phone call with Brad Raffensperger.

Since Coffee County is outside of Fani Willis’s jurisdiction, the racketeering statute allows her to cast a wider net.

Central to this argument is the assertion that the lipid nanoparticle (LNP) -modRNA and -modDNA complexes present in the vaccines fulfill the Australian legal definitions of a genetically modified organism, pursuant to the Gene Technology Act 2000 (GT Act).

On Friday, Ukraine’s Minister for Culture, Oleksandr Tkachenko, tendered his resignation in light of controversies surrounding the allocation of budget funds for cultural projects amidst the ongoing war with Russia, AFP reported.

Tkachenko submitted his resignation letter to the Prime Minister on Thursday night. In a statement released on Facebook, the now-former minister said:

Brought a resignation statement to the Premier tonight, due to a wave of misunderstanding about the importance of culture during war. Only then was surprised by the President’s statement on the same issue.

Culture during war is important because it is a war not only for territory but for people, and people are our memory, history, language, creativity despite the war, heritage and past for the sake of the future.

Both private and budget funds during the war on culture are no less important than on drones, because culture is a shield of our identity and our borders. And this is my principle position against others.

His resignation came on the heels of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s statement earlier in the day, suggesting the Prime Minister consider finding a replacement for Tkachenko.

“People should feel that budget resources are used fairly and properly,” Zelensky said during his nightly address.

“This applies to various areas, including culture. Museums, cultural centres, symbols, TV series — all of this is important, but now there are other priorities,” Zelensky added.

On Thursday the Ukrainska Pravda news website published a story claiming the culture ministry had decided to allocate 448 million hryvnias (around $12 million) for the production of a television series.

Tkachenko recently told a radio show that it was appropriate to provide around $13 million to finish building a museum to commerate Ukraine’s 1932-33 famine, which is regarded by Kyiv as a deliberate act of genocide by the regime of Soviet leader Joseph Stalin.

“Such things, which speak of the suffering inflicted on the Ukrainian people for decades by Moscow, should be reflected in the museum,” he told United States-funded Radio Liberty.

“If someone says that the museum should not be built during the war, let them give arguments other than that it is necessary to spend money on reconstruction. There are funds.”

Moscow rejects Kyiv’s account of the famine, placing the events in the broader context of famines that devastated regions of Central Asia and Russia.

Several large tree limbs in front of Paul's office had to be cut down so a hose could reach through the second floor windows. Firefighters manned the aerials of trucks 1 and 6 to get at the flames from above.

According to McKee, nine units responded to the scene – a total of 31 personnel, not including two deputy chiefs and Bowling Green Fire Chief Justin Brooks. -BG Daily News

Just one day after news broke that Rand Paul has referred Dr. Anthony Fauci to the DOJ for prosecution, the Bowling Green, Kentucky office of the Republican Senator was damaged in a fire.

According to the Bowling Green Daily News, the early Friday morning fire severely damaged a commercial building on State Street in which Paul's local office is located.

A lecturer at Louisiana State University has been barred from teaching and is now under investigation by Louisiana State Police after allegedly sending a threatening, profanity-laced message to Republican state Sen. Michael Fesi.

Fesi was among the state senators who voted to override Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards' veto of SB 648, thereby ensuring the bill banning child sex-change mutilations would be made law.

The prospect — made a reality with Fesi's help — that children could no longer receive destructive puberty blockers or go under the the knife for irreversible, sterilizing procedures didn't just upset Democrats. It appears to have similarly enraged LSU grad student and lecturer Marcus Venable.

The voicemail message allegedly left by Venable calls Fesi a "f*ing moron" and a "fat f*ing piece of sh."

"I just want to say congratulations to our state Sen. 'Big Mike' Fesi," says the message. "And that f***ing moron voted to make things worse for people who are already suffering. ... You did not produce any gdamn evidence to support the claims you made about people being harmed by transgender care. Yet we've had tons of empirical evidence telling us there's an increased suicide risk for people who don't get this care."

WAFB-TV indicated that that the allusion to "evidence" about persons harmed by so-called "transgender care" is likely in reference to Fesi's remarks Tuesday at the state Capitol, where he said, "You know who the real experts are, it’s the ones that had this procedure done and are now in their mid-twenties, and late twenties, and trying to say that they hate their parents for letting this happen to them."

"So you, you big fat-headed mother f*er, I can't wait to read your name in the f*ing obituary," continues the voicemail message. "I will make a gdamn martini made from the tears of butthurt conservatives when we put your f*ing a in the ground, you fat f*ing useless piece of sh."

While Venable allegedly concluded the message by wishing Fesi a "terrible day," the occasional LSU lecturer appears to have reaped the whirlwind.

Upon receiving the threatening message, Fesi informed the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office, which then turned it over to the LSP, reported WAFB.

"I just want them to do their investigation, and them do what they think’s right. I don’t want to see no harm come to anybody," said Fesi.

Louisiana State Police confirmed to the Advocate that an investigation into Venable was under way.

LSU, which acknowledged that the leftist has taught classes at the school, indicated he will no longer be permitted to do so.

Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of natural gas company Burisma Holdings, told the informant in 2016 while meeting at a coffee shop in Vienna, that “it cost 5 [million] to pay one Biden, and 5 [million] to another Biden,” according to a redacted June 2020 document.

According to the informant, both Biden and Hunter told Zlochevsky it was in his best interest to keep Hunter on Burisma’s board as the company looked to do business in the US.

The company allegedly kept Hunter on the board because they believed “his dad” could help protect them, despite Zlochevsky believing Hunter was “stupid” and that his own “dog was smarter.”

Zlochevsky allegedly claimed to have 17 recordingsof conversations with the Bidens — two of which involved Joe — as well as “many text messages” and two documents that the informant “understood to be” financial records of “payment(s) to the Bidens.”

Just hours after the document was released, an IRS special agent revealed that federal prosecutors tasked with investigating Hunter’s alleged tax fraud case unanimously agreed to drop recommended felony and misdemeanor tax charges against the president’s son.

Each token representing a real-world asset in this digital space would contain a large amount of data received from the real world in real time about what it is, who it belongs to, etc., as well as rules on how that particular asset can and cannot be used. The BIS explains how these rules are set up by “directly embedding supervisory features into the token itself, which can be tailored to specific rules.”

The main takeaway of this BIS blueprint is that whatever happens in their dystopian digital world, has legally binding impacts on assets in the real world. So, maybe the WEF’s catch phrase should be “You may own digital tokens, but we will control the real assets.”

Russia plans to start testing its digital ruble CBDC this summer

Russian lawmakers have approved the development of a digital ruble, and it could begin testing later this summer. While the bill has already passed through Russia's higher legislative body, it must obtain a signature from President Vladimir Putin before it can go into effect.

The Russian central bank reportedly plans to launch a test of the digital ruble involving 15 lenders. Businesses and consumers alike will be given the ability to open a digital wallet using the central bank's platform that they can access through Russian banks.

As a central bank digital currency, or CBDC, the digital ruble would be a centralized token whose value is tied to the country's fiat currency.

The digital ruble pilot comes against the landscape of ongoing economic sanctions against the country due to its war with Ukraine that are making it challenging to conduct business. For example, major corporations like Visa and MasterCard have cut ties with Russia. Meanwhile, its domestic payment system, which is known as Mir, is only accepted by a few countries.

Although the digital ruble's original planned use was for retail purposes, testing is expected to focus on cross-border payments as Russia looks for ways to skirt economic sanctions.

The Russian central bank first signaled its interest in developing a digital currency in 2017, but it was not considered a major priority at the time. However, in 2022, the Russian central bank announced that it would be introducing a digital ruble by 2024, implementing the currency in stages with the support of thorough testing and the development of appropriate infrastructure. The central bank indicated that the digital ruble would coexist with traditional non-cash and cash payment systems so that consumers would have greater flexibility.

An earlier launch of the pilot was delayed, and the bill was amended so the digital ruble could be used by foreigners rather than being limited to residents. The current framework gives the Russian central bank the position of primary operator of the infrastructure as well as responsibility for keeping stored assets secure.

Those who use the digital ruble will not be able to open savings accounts with it as it is intended to serve as a method of making transfers and payments. While individual customers will not be charged for payments or transfers with the CBDC, corporate clients will be charged a 0.3 percent fee.

Bank of Russia First Deputy Governor Olga Skorobogatova said every citizen should have access to digital rubles sometime between 2025 and 2027, with a more specific timeline depending on how prepared individual banks are to adopt the required infrastructure.

Erdogan appeals to West over Black Sea grain deal

The Turkish leader claims Moscow would prolong the agreement if its demands were met .

The West should start fulfilling Russia’s expectations from the Black Sea grain deal so that the “vital initiative” can be continued, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said.

The agreement expired on Monday after Moscow refused to prolong it, citing the failure of the US and EU to keep their part of the deal and allow exports of Russian food products and fertilizer.

The landmark agreement had been signed in July 2022 through mediation by the UN and Türkiye, and created a corridor for the safe passage of vessels with Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea.

“Russia has some expectations [from the grain deal]. If these are met, Russia is in favor of active operation of this grain corridor,” Erdogan told journalists on Friday.

“We are aware that [Russian] President [Vladimir] Putin also has certain expectations from Western countries, and it is crucial for these countries to take action in this regard,” he insisted, as quoted by the Daily Sabah newspaper.

Russian Legendary Military Commander Igor Strelkov Arrested In Moscow

Igor Strelkov once said that if he was allowed to go fighting on the Ukrainian frontlines, then (the Kremlin) made the decision to fight until Russia wins the war. If he is jailed, i.e. that the “surrender party” definitely won in Russia.

On July 21, former DPR Defense Minister, Russian military and political activist, Igor Girkin (Strelkov) was arrested. He is charged with public calls to extremist activities through Internet.

The court arrested the former head of the DPR Defense Ministry until September 18 after a case was launched against him under Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for extremism using the Internet). Strelkov faces a sentence of up to five years in prison.

The prosecutor noted that Strelkov served in the operational unit of the special services and has the skills of conspiracy, insisting on his arrest. In his turn, Strelkov claimed that he had no intentions to leave the country or escape from the investigation.

“I have been living permanently in Moscow for 9 years, I have never been hiding from the FSB and other services… The investigator’s statement that I can hide abroad is ridiculous. Because I am wanted in many countries and sentenced to life by The Hague Court,” Strelkov reportedly claimed.

Strelkov reportedly said that he has angor pectoris of the second degree and asked for house arrest. In addition, he has three children, including one minor child, whom he supports financially. He added that he still has a grandmother who has a chronic illness. However, he was sent to a detention center until September 18.

Strelkov’s lawyer explained that the ex-minister of the DPR recognized the publication of two posts in his telegram channel.

On May 25, he expressed his opinion on the possible surrender of Crimea, calling it state treason. The second post, which led to the launch of the criminal case, told about the non-payments to the Russian military.

“It’s a disgrace if they don’t pay money to the assault regiment. And I agree with that,” Strelkov’s lawyer, commented on the issue.

Strelkov’s posts were reportedly checked by an “expert”. According to the lawyer, this is an unacceptable proof, since there are at least no necessary signatures and it is unclear who this expert is. In the case file there is a survey of a resident of the Crimea, which says that he read Strelkov’s post and felt indignation.

The case was initiated on July 18. According to preliminary data, it was launched at the request of a former employee of the Wagner PMC. Igor Strelkov had a conflict with Wagner’s Group. In particular, after the mutiny on June 24, Strelkov consistently sought condemnation of the actions of the PMC and its leader Yevgeny Prigozhin.

Strelkov was one of the leaders of the militia in the Donbass in 2014. From May 15 to August 14 of the same year, he served as the Minister of Defense of the DPR. After his retirement, Strelkov did not take part in military operations but attempted to come back to the front lines several times.

Strelkov recently created a so-called Club of Angry Patriots, and was considered one of the leaders of Russian patriotic opposition. His arrest may mark the beginning of a larger campaign against Russian patriotic opinion leaders. Moreover, Moscow’s campaign against Strelkov may also signal the change in the Russian policy and any new “goodwill gestures” by the Kremlin and the Russian military can be expected.

“Amin’s distinguished career at Aramco, spanning more than four decades, gives him a unique perspective on many of the key issues facing our firm and our clients,” CNBC quoted Fink as saying. “His leadership experience, understanding of the global energy industry and the drivers of the shift towards a low carbon economy, as well as his knowledge of the Middle East region, will all contribute meaningfully to the BlackRock Board dialogue.”

Fink has for years suggested using BlackRock’s influence to further left-wing ESG goals.

Substitute “socialists” for “U.S. Democrats.” But it won’t be just the Democrats using candles, it’s going to be all of us. When the power goes out, most of us just have to wait until it’s restored to get back to our normal lives. In the meantime, as we wander through a dark house flipping useless switches out of habit, we make sure we don’t open the refrigerator and we put off anything we had planned that requires us to burn electricity.

Dan Goldman (D-NY) might have damaged the Biden defense irreparably due to the mounting evidence that the president and his son, Hunter, are involved in a bribery operation. The sordid activities of Hunter Biden and his unscrupulous government access deals are well documented. What he did with the cash got him investigated by the IRS, which seemed poised to charge him until the Biden Department of Justice derailed such efforts with their pervasive meddling.

A nine-year-old girl got into a stranger's car Friday morning

She was found outside an IGA in Port Kennedy, south Perth

A man in his 30s was arrested

A nine-year-old girl was found barefoot and crying with her hands bound by zip-ties after she was allegedly abducted by a stranger on her way to school, a witness said.

The little girl was allegedly snatched by a mystery man while heading into school in Warnbro, south Perth, at about 8.45am on Friday.

A concerned parent spotted the girl getting inside a silver ute and reported it to the school who in turn reported the suspicious encounter to police.

'They thought that was suspicious and immediately reported it to the school,' Acting Det-Insp. Scott Johnson from the sex crimes division said.

'The school did their due diligence in checking to see if the child was at school and contacted the parents and she wasn't so police responded.'

The nine-year-old was quickly declared missing and police launched a large-scale search.

The girl's mother also shared a desperate plea online, writing 'someone has taken [my daughter] from school'.

'She was seen being picked up by a man in a grey/silver ute at 8.25am outside of [the primary school] in Warnbro.'

The little girl was found a short time later alone outside an IGA in nearby Port Kennedy.

Det-Insp Johnson said staff spotted her 'in distress and contacted police'.

'Shortly afterwards, police from a number of different units swarmed the Rockingham area and located a male in his 30s and what we believe is the vehicle used to take the child,' he said.

Witnesses told The West Australian the girl's hands had been bound with zip-ties.

Worker Alicia Janse Van Vuuren said the girl was taken from the small shopping centre in an ambulance.

'We saw her coming out of IGA and saw her being taken into the ambulance,' she said.

Former US President Clinton visits Albania, urges solution to crisis in northern Kosovo

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton, during a visit to Albania, called for a solution to the crisis in northern Kosovo that has ratcheted up tensions between the Pristina government and the country’s Serb minority and Belgrade.

In a speech in Tirana on July 3, Clinton directly addressed the tensions that have boiled over following the election of ethnic Albanian mayors in four Serb-majority towns after Serbian leaders called for a boycott of the votes.

“There is a dispute going on in Kosovo that I wish had never happened,” Clinton said during the first day of a two-day visit.

With the Serb boycott, minority Albanian candidates were able to win the mayoral posts with a minimum number of votes, leading to violent protests by many local Serbs after Kosovar authorities defied Western warnings and used force to install the winners in city halls.

Clinton said the Kosovo people “created those four towns for the benefit of the Serbs….So I think that they [Serb residents] made a mistake not to vote,” Clinton said.

“I think it is easy for the Albanians, now in the majority [in Kosovo], to try to take advantage of the moment to make their point, but the real thing we need to do is to stop this nonsense…What big political issue can be advanced by having these tensions? The people in those municipalities need decent government and citizens need to vote,” he said.

The protests, which turned violent and led to injuries among NATO-led KFOR peacekeepers and demonstrators, took place after Western-backed Pristina ignored pleas to avoid escalation and instead tried to forcibly seat the ethnic Albanian mayors after the boycotted elections.

U.S. and EU diplomats told Kosovar Prime Minister Albin Kurti that he needed to calm the situation in the north, hold new municipal elections, and return to dialogue with Serbia on normalizing relations. Diplomats have also long urged Belgrade to take steps to normalize relations with Kosovo, which it refuses to recognize.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has refused to meet directly with Kurti in efforts to simmer tensions, which also rose when three Kosovar police officers were detained by Serbian authorities last month.

The IRS was stopped from questioning Joe Biden’s sister, Valerie Biden Owens — said to be the president’s “final gut-check” in decision-making — about cash she received from Hunter Biden, a whistleblower has claimed.

Biden Owens received a payment via Venmo from the first son, according to an interview with IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler, a 13-year IRS veteran who gave testimony to the House Committee on Ways and Means last month.

House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) said Friday that Rob Malley, the Iran envoy for President Joe Biden, may have committed “treason,” leading to his suspension from his post.

As Breitbart News has reported, Malley — long accused of being overly friendly to the Iranian regime and Islamic terrorists in general — was suspended last month amid allegations of mishandling classified materials.

McCaul criticized the State Department for failing to inform Congress when Malley was suspended and lost his security clearance. On Friday, he expanded that criticim in an interview with Morgan Ortagus of News Nation:

What’s very disturbing is that we tried to get [Malley] to testify before our committee, to come and give us classified briefings, [and] conveniently he would not appear. Now we know why he didn’t show up. What I’m deeply concerned about is because he had access to these very high-level and sensitive documents and information, that if he turned that information over to a foreign nation adversary, like say Iran or Russia, as you know, that really would constitute an act of treason. And it’s very disturbing that the man we’re relying on for information about the Iran deal, and what the Iranians are telling him, could be in violation of his security clearance.

Malley was one of the architects of the 2015 nuclear deal that President Donald Trump abandoned. He was sent to Vienna as soon as President Biden took office in a vain attempt to persuade Iran, with which the U.S. does not have diplomatic relations, to re-negotiate. Iran appears simply to have played for time, while enriching uranium, though there is talk of a tacit “mini-deal.”

Trump left the 2015 deal partly because it allowed Iran to emerge as a nuclear power after about a decade, while giving it billions of dollars in cash, along with sanctions relief, with few safeguards against violations. Shortly before that, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed an intelligence trove showing that Iran had never given up its ambition to develop nuclear weapons.

Reported school, KY DOC employee charged with rape, sexual abuse

MAGOFFIN COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - We are learning new information after a Magoffin County man was arrested and charged with rape and sexual abuse.

The charges stem from a 2018 case.

Officials with Magoffin County Schools confirmed Anthony Taulbee is an employee at the school system. He was hired on February 19, 2018.

School officials said Taulbee was suspended without pay.

“We have been made aware of the charges filed against Mr. Taulbee. Mr. Taulbee has been suspended without pay from Magoffin County Schools since February 2022. We will monitor this situation and act according to statute. We will always keep our students’ safety and best interest as our main priority.”

Police said Taulbee was arrested on Wednesday, July 19.

Court documents indicated Taulbee reportedly committed first-degree sexual abuse between March 1, 2018 and June 1, 2018 and third-degree rape between March 1, 2018 and August 12, 2018.

In the first count, investigators said Taulbee reportedly forced another person to engage in sexual contact with him without their consent.

In the second count, officials said Taulbee reportedly engaged in sexual activity with another person younger than 18 years old against their consent.

Taulbee is scheduled to appear in court on September 18.

A sex tape and nude photos of the Virgin Islands' delegate to Congress and her husband were posted online briefly by hackers before they were removed.

Democratic Rep. Stacey Plaskett, 52, said that it is a 'shockingly disgusting' invasion of her privacy for the sex tape and nude images, including a topless photo, were stolen and leaked on the Internet.

The sex tape, which showed her husband Jonathan Buckney-Small naked and wearing make-up, was online Wednesday night before it was taken down, according to .

In a statement released Thursday, Plaskett, who is lawyer, said her office is working with the FBI to investigate the incident, which she called a violation of both territorial and federal law.

'Private photographs shared between my husband and me, as well as a private playful video of our family, including one of our children, were illegally obtained and disseminated via the internet,' Plaskett said in a statement.

'To say my family and I are greatly upset would be a tremendous understatement.

'As a mother I am outraged that one of my children was exploited in such a way.

'This incident shows that there are some people who will go to any length to degrade a woman who refuses to play their games and will try to besmirch my good name by any means necessary.'

The freshman lawmaker suspects that she is the victim of someone playing a dirty political trick, as the Virgin Islands will hold a primary election in two weeks in which she is running for re-election.

Gordon Ackley, a Republican who is running for delegate denounced the lawmaker's behavior.

'It is deeply unfortunate when those entrusted to serve our community engage in a manner that poorly reflects up on the Virgin Islands,' Ackley said in a statement.

'I have always tried to conduct myself in an honorable manner and to provide a positive influence for the next generation of Virgin Islanders.'

Plaskett, who won her seat in 2014, said the posting of the images online 'marks a new low in Virgin Islands politics.'

Plaskett has previously served in the Justice Department and Bronx district attorney's office.

She was born in Brooklyn, but her parents are from St. Croix in the Virgin Islands.

Since she is a delegate from the U.S. Virgin Islands' at-large congressional district, she has no vote, but can participate in debates.

There are currently six non-voting delegates serving two-year terms in Congress representing Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, America Samoa, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Though they can not formally vote in the House, a non-voting member can vote as a member of a House committee and introduce legislation.

In addition, the position of a non-voting member is only for the House and not the Senate.

Email casts doubt over Prince Andrew’s claims on relationship with Epstein

The Duke of York had dinner with Jeffrey Epstein at a time when Prince Andrew has suggested they were no longer in contact, according to an email the billionaire financier sent to a friend.

The Duke, 62, indicated during his 2019 BBC Newsnight interview that he had only met the billionaire financier once following his June 2008 conviction for soliciting and procuring an underage girl for prostitution.

That meeting took place in December 2010, when the two men were photographed strolling through Central Park in New York during a visit the Duke said he had organised “to show leadership” and solely to break off the friendship, only staying at his mansion for several days because “it was a convenient place to stay”.

However, court papers suggest the pair had lunch in June that year while Epstein was under a 12-month house arrest order at his Florida mansion and that they had kept in regular touch.

‘Ask Andrew about the island’

“Andrew just sat next to me at dinner,” the sex offender wrote in an email dated June 14, 2010. “We will try to connect this week.”

However, the Court Circular’s record of the Duke’s schedule suggests it would have been difficult for him to get to Florida within a month of that date.

Epstein spent 13 months in prison after his 2008 conviction and then began a year of house arrest, which ended in July 2010.

The court documents have been made public as part of a civil case brought by the US Virgin Islands government against JP Morgan in New York.

One section, titled Prince Andrew, Duke of York, contains snippets from a series of emails sent between the Duke, Epstein and Jes Staley, the banking giant’s then chief executive.

They suggest that the Duke was in regular contact with Epstein throughout 2010 and beyond.

On June 24, 2009, the financier wrote to Staley: “Ask Andrew about the island, tell him about your boat plans.”

The document notes that the message appears to be a reference to the Duke, with whom both men “appear to speak and meet with on a number of occasions”.

On April 15, Epstein wrote to the Duke: “jes staley will be in london on thurs the 22.. i think you should meet if you are in town.”

Zelensky threatens to ‘neutralize’ Europe's longest bridge

The Ukrainian leader called the Crimean Bridge a legitimate military target following an attack that killed 2 civilians

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has claimed that the bridge to Crimea is not civilian infrastructure, but a key logistical route for Russia’s “militarizing” of the peninsula, insisting Kiev was within its rights to target it using any means necessary.

The Crimean Bridge – the longest in Europe, which links the peninsula to mainland Russia over the Kerch Strait – was damaged in an explosion on Monday. The drone strike, which Moscow called a Ukrainian terrorist attack, killed a couple and seriously injured their 14-year-old daughter, who was traveling in the same car.

Neglecting to even mention civilian casualties, CNN’s Fareed Zakaria asked Zelensky at the Aspen Security Forum in Washington, DC on Friday whether destroying the bridge “completely” was Kiev’s “short-term objective.”

“For us this is understandably an enemy facility built outside the law, built outside international laws, and all applicable norms, so understandably this is our objective. And any target that is bringing war, not peace, has to be neutralized,” the Ukrainian leader stated.

Zelensky went on to say that Kiev’s objective was to “reclaim all of Crimea because it is our sovereign territory,”avoiding the host’s question whether such a grand goal could be reachedthrough an ongoing counteroffensive that has so far shown underwhelming results.

Government sources cited by Ukrainian media outlets confirmed the strike had been launched by Kiev. The SBU, the security service that allegedly co-organized the operation with the Ukrainian military, reacted by promising to release details about the incident after the conflict with Russia is over.

Crimea broke away from Ukraine shortly after the Western-backed 2014 Maidan coup, which deposed the democratically-elected Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich. Afterwards, the peninsula joined Russia, with its population overwhelmingly backing reunification in a referendum. Since then, seizing Crimea from Russia has become a top talking point for Ukrainian officials.

Ukraine losing ‘significant’ forces – White House

Kiev’s much-lauded counteroffensive is “hard going,” a senior US official has admitted

White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has claimed that it was too early to make a call on the results of Ukraine’s counteroffensive operations, insisting that despite losing a “significant” amount of forces, Kiev still has “substantial” reserves to throw into battle.

When asked whether “the real counteroffensive is yet to come” at the Aspen Security Forum in Washington, DC on Friday, Sullivan insisted that the counteroffensive began “the day the first Ukrainian put their life on the line.”

“There have already been significant amounts of casualties and deaths of Ukrainian fighters in this counteroffensive, so it is well underway. And it is hard going. And we said it would be hard going,” the White House adviser told the forum’s moderator Edward Luce.

However, Ukraine has a “substantial amount of combat power thatit has not yet committed to the fight,” and according to Sullivan, is now trying to choose the right moment “when it will have the maximum impact on the battlefield.”

“It is at that moment when they make that commitment that we will really see what the likely results of that counteroffensive will be,”Sullivan stated, noting that Washington is in “close consultation with the Ukrainians on the conditions for that.”

The West is evidently disappointed that despite “colossal amounts of resources” it sent to Kiev, its much-lauded counteroffensive has failed to produce any results and has led to high levels of Ukrainian casualties, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday.

Top Pentagon officials insisted earlier this week that it was too early to call the counteroffensive a “failure,” saying Washington had expected all along that the operation would be bloody and protracted. The New York Times reported last week that after losing up to 20% of the weaponry deployed in the counteroffensive in just two weeks, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky had paused the operation to shore up ammunition.

The MV-22B Osprey crash that killed five Marines in California last June was caused by a gear problem the service has known about for years, according to a 436-page redacted command investigation released Friday.

A “dual hard clutch engagement” caused an engine and the interconnect drive system to fail, which led to the “catastrophic loss of thrust” on the right proprotor, the Marine Corps said in a statement. “The degraded drivetrain caused by the dual HCE event and subsequent single engine/ICDS failure created an unrecoverable departure from controlled flight, resulting in the tragic crash that occurred on June 8, 2022.”

The pilots, crew, and maintenance of the aircraft were not to blame in the crash, the V-22 Joint Program Office said in their statement.
