Sound of Freedom passed the $100m mark. Who’s really watching the movie?

The ‘QAnon adjacent’ film, co-opted by the right wing, has a ‘pay it forward’ scheme resulting in sold-out shows but empty theaters

Sound of Freedom, the religious, “QAnon adjacent” child-smuggling film that has enthralled conservatives across the US, passed the $100m mark in ticket sales on Thursday.

FARAGE UNDERSTANDS THE FULL IMPLICATIONS OF THE BANKING ATTACK ON THE CITIZENS AND THE MISSION CREEP OF THE CHINESE SOCIAL CREDIT SYSTEM BEING DEPLOYED ON THE PEOPLE OF THE U.K AND AROUND THE WORLD !!!

Note: This has been anons battle to bring awareness to a cashless society and the implementation of the social governance (which is shutting down of free speech) by collecting social media of customers to fine, restrict and debank people. it is insidious and Machiavellian and once seen cannot be missed.

Farage thanks support over de-banking scandal. This fight is far from over but having a voice as loud as farage and his determination is a fantastic bonus for all of those who understood this problem years ago and were blowing the whistle. In a fully digitalized cashless society all that is left is to turn to crime and that is where things will go!!! keep being loud about this and sharing your views whether you like farage or not, he does like fighting big dragons like the anons. We will have to see if the banks can be bought to justice but for now we need to keep our financial independence and that will be removed with the digital surveillance grid.

In 1999, @elonmusk co-founded X.com, aiming to revolutionize banking online. A merger with Confinity in 2000 paved the way for PayPal's emergence.

Fast forward to 2022, Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion, driven by his mission to revive freedom of speech on the internet and fulfill X.com's original vision.

In 2023, Twitter will merge into X.com, birthing the "everything app" – a visionary platform seamlessly blending banking, payments, social media, encrypted messages, voice calls, and video services worldwide.

With Twitter's communication prowess and X.com's cutting-edge financial services, users will be able to switch effortlessly between social interactions and financial transactions, transforming how we manage money and connect with others.

All on a platform that fiercely champions freedom of speech.

In Elon's own words, "If done right, X would serve people's financial needs to such a degree that over time it would become maybe half of the global financial system or by far the biggest financial institution except not in the way that people are use to thinking about banks.

The most efficient database for money with the least amount of fraud. Everything is real-time.

If it involves money, it can be dealt with seamlessly in one location. In addition, you got the social media element, which is also people sharing information of various kinds, whether it's text, video, picture, or voice.

There is a lot of potential to make a product that is very compelling that combines all of these things."

What are your thoughts on Elon Musk's bold vision for X.com?

As White House Limits Access to Press Briefings, Daily Signal Reporter Loses Credentials

Undemocratic: The Biden White House (aka, the “People’s House,” as Biden and his confrères like to call it) will soon revoke the press credentials of The Daily Signal’s chief news correspondent, Fred Lucas, who has covered the White House for the past 14 years. The Daily Signal is the news site operated by Heritage.

“The White House is making it harder for reporters to cover the so-called most ‘open and transparent administration in history,’” writes Heritage President Kevin Roberts. “If this happened under the prior administration, the media would be screaming censorship. Today, there’s not a peep. Shameful.”

Power vs. truth: The administration’s new rules for press credentials will make it easy for the White House to target conservatives and others who ask tough questions. Read more here:

@realDonaldTrump

Joe Biden is the most corrupt President in the history of the United States, which is being undeniably proven in the House of Representatives every single day. But with all of these horrible revelations and facts, why hasn’t Republican “leadership” in the Senate spoken up and rebuked Crooked Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats, Fascists, and Marxists for their criminal acts against our Country, some of them against me. Israel MPs approve key judicial reform clause

AFPJuly 24, 2023 8:48 am

Israeli lawmakers approved on Monday a key clause of a controversial judicial reform plan that aims to curb the powers of the Supreme Court in striking down government decisions.

The text was approved by all 64 lawmakers from the ruling hard-right coalition of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with opposition MPs boycotting the vote.

Reasonableness bill passes, opposition boycotts last vote

The session included 140 votes, five of which were by name • The vote passed 64-0

The reasonableness standard bill has officially passed into law, marking the first bill in the government's contentious judicial reform to pass into law after six months of fierce public debate and negotiations on a possible compromise that lasted until the last minute.

The opposition boycotted the vote, and the final tally was 64-0. Every member of the coalition voted in favor of the bill.

The voting on the bill's second reading included 140 objections and lasted a number of hours.

The voting began after a marathon 26-hour debate that began on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Justice Minister Yariv Levin and Knesset Constitution, Law and Justice Committee chairman MK Simcha Rothman (Religious Zionist Party) summed up the debate.

Drama continued until the very last minute, as negotiations over a compromise continued between MKs in the plenum itself throughout the vote, with President Isacc Herzog reportedly speaking on the phone at one point with Shas chairman MK Aryeh Deri, and representatives of the President's Residence speaking on the phone to Netanyahu as well.

An agreement appeared to have been reached at one point, as Defense Minister Yoav Gallant headed over to the opposition's part of the plenum and shook hands with opposition leader MK Yair Lapid and National Unity chairman MK Benny Gantz. However, no compromise proposals bore fruit, and the bill passed.

Levin and Rothman both accused the opposition of blowing out of proportion the ramifications of the bill and declared that the bill would not harm individual rights.

Opposition Leader Yair Lapid charged in his closing remarks that Israel's government is creating a deep rift in the country, intentionally allowing it to fall apart.

He delivered his fiery speech as the marathon debate on the reasonableness standard bill came to an end ahead of the vote itself.

"I sat down in the last day with the heads of the security system. With the head of the Shin Bet, with representatives of the IDF. We are headed for disaster," he said.

He later stated that negotiations had collapsed entirely and said that there would be a vote immediately in the plenary on the reasonableness bill.

Turning his attention to Likud MKs specifically, Lapid accused them of knowing "that this is a takeover by an extreme minority over the Israeli majority, and also a hostile takeover of your party. You know that what is happening here is a disaster that can be prevented. A tragedy that we must stop. "You can stop this. It may not be what you planned for yourselves. It may not be what you came into politics for, but if you don't stop it now, you'll wake up at night in the next thirty years and ask yourself why you knew it was the right thing to do, but you didn't do it."

Prior to Lapid, National Unity Party Chair and former defense minister Benny Gantz addressed the plenum, saying that a majority of Knesset members do not support passing the reasonableness standard bill without reaching a compromise.

Chemicals Glow as a Meteor Disintegrates

Meteors can be colorful. While the human eye usually cannot discern many colors, cameras often can. Pictured here is a fireball, a disintegrating meteor that was not only one of the brightest the photographer has ever seen, but colorful. The meteor was captured by chance in mid-July with a camera set up on Hochkar Mountain in Austria to photograph the central band of our Milky Way galaxy. The radiant grit, likely cast off by a comet or asteroid long ago, had the misfortune to enter Earth's atmosphere. Colors in meteors usually originate from ionized chemical elements released as the meteor disintegrates, with blue-green typically originating from magnesium, calcium radiating violet, and nickel glowing green. Red, however, typically originates from energized nitrogen and oxygen in the Earth's atmosphere. This bright meteoric fireball was gone in a flash less than a second but it left a wind-blown ionization trail that remained visible for almost a minute.

Pioneering NASA 'Hidden Figure' Evelyn Boyd Granville dies at age 99

July 24, 2023

Trailblazing NASA "Hidden Figure" and Black mathematician, Evelyn Boyd Granville, has died at the age of 99.

Granville was one of the first two Black women in the United States to earn a Ph.D in mathematics. Her degree, despite hardships, led to positions working on NASA's early human spaceflight missions and a long career in education.

As shown in the group of Black women featured in the book and 2016 film "Hidden Figures," Granville rose up, despite racial adversity, to contribute significantly to NASA's early human spaceflight missions, including the Mercury and Apollo programs. Her death was publicized in a Washington Post obituary, published July 7.

Granville completed her undergraduate studies at Smith College, in Massachusetts, and earned her doctorate degree at Yale University, in 1949. She continued her postgraduate career at the New York University Institute for Mathematics and eventually took a teaching positing at Fisk University.

She began a position at computing giant IBM in 1956, and was later part of the IBM team contracted by NASA in 1959, during the dawning days of the space race. Granville's job included programming early mainframe computers, and determining equations for tracking orbital trajectories and safe reentries.

She worked on NASA's Project Vanguard satellite and first crewed Mercury launches, and later performed moon landing calculations as technical support for engineers on the Apollo program.

After her time with the space agency, Granville became a mathematics professor at California State University, where she taught students how to teach mathematics, and also wrote textbooks on the matter.

Her career in education continued into the 1980s, when she taught at the University of Texas at Tyler. It was there that she also worked to create math enrichment programs for elementary school age students, according to the Post.

Granville retired to Washington, D.C. in 2010, following the death of her husband, Ed Granville. According to her obituary, Granville died peacefully at her home in Silver Spring, Maryland on June 27.

A funeral service was held July 8 in Washington, D.C.

Exclusive – Sen. Josh Hawley on Coldwater Creek Contamination: Government Has Been ‘Lying for Years’

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) accused the federal government of “lying for years” aboutradioactive waste contaminating Coldwater Creek in St. Louis, Missouri, in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News last Sunday.

Documents obtained by a parent group and shared with media outlets revealed that Coldwater Creek is contaminated bynuclear waste left over from the effort to build the first atomic bombduring World War II. As the Associated Press reported, the federal government and companies responsible for nuclear bomb production “were aware of health risks, spills, improperly stored contaminants and other problems but often ignored them.” Federal health investigators have since found “an increased cancer risk for some people who, as children, played in a creek contaminated with uranium waste,” the report states.

“[The government] got away with it just by lying for years. They were the only ones, the federal government, that had the studies. This dates back to the Manhattan Project. St. Louis was a major uranium processing center,” Sen. Hawley said during an interview in West Palm Beach, Florida, at the 2023 Turning Point Action Conference.

“But what the government did after that was they just essentially dumped the uranium and the waste material into the creek, into the ground soil, and then they lied about it for years,” he added. “They knew from at least the 70s that they had a major contamination issue, and they’ve lied about it and kept it under wraps. But now, thanks to a group of brave mothers, who got 15,000 documents in FOIA requests, what [the government] has done is coming to light.”…

Scientists believe an alien spaceship could have crashed into Mars

24 July 2023 BST

Scientists say an alien spaceship crash landing onto Mars can't be ruled out as the cause of strange spikey protrusions found on the planet.

Quick, somebody call Mulder and Scully.

In April, Nasa’s Curiosity Rover photographed what appear to be rows of spikes, plates and wedges protruding from rocks on the bottom of the 154km-long Gale Crater.

Astrobiologist Dr Nathalie Cabrol, of the NASA Ames Research Centre and Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) Institute, has been studying Mars for over 20 years and says this is the 'most bizarre' rock she's ever encountered.

A new paper published in the Journal of Astrobiology concludes that the formations might be 'sand spikes', researchers also say 'a fragment from an extraterrestrial or terrestrial spacecraft cannot be discounted with absolute certainty'.

The scientists say there also appear to be wheels, an axle and a debris field alongside the spikes.

Sand spikes form in water-logged sands during massive earthquakes.

Similar spikes to the ones photographed on Mars have been found at the north Alpine basin of south Germany and at Mount Signal in the Imperial Valley of southern California.

“There is no way of proving for certain what the spikes are but the balance of the evidence would suggest ‘sand spikes’ resulting from seismic activity on Mars," Prof Richard Armstrong, of Aston University, Birmingham told The Telegraph.

“I suspect the enigmatic ‘wheels’ are a separate phenomenon.

"Mars images often show strange formations and features which ‘look like’ familiar objects.

“Any debris field on Mars would certainly suffer erosion over time, especially from wind.”

The authors also haven't ruled out that the spikes might be a result of human activity.

"Given that possibly 10 or more craft have crashed upon the surface, coupled with the jettison of equipment associated with landing the rovers, it is possible the spikes and its substrate are human-made and consist of debris that fell onto the surface of Gale Crater," they write in the paper.

“Nevertheless, no debris field is evident and no evidence of any additional debris that may have originated on Earth.

“Given its small size and that there are no known human-made analogs and no logical explanation as to what purpose these spikes may serve, it does not seem likely these specimens are the remnants of craft or equipment that fell into Gale Crater.

"One can only speculate about extraterrestrial origin."

‘Continues To Break The Rules’: FBI Improperly Searched Surveillance Data On Senator, Court Docs Reveal

THE FEDERAL BUREAU OF INTELLIGENCE (FBI) CARRIED OUT IMPROPER SURVEILLANCE ON MULTIPLE GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS, ACCORDING TO COURT DOCUMENTS RELEASED FRIDAY.

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) issued an opinion stating that the FBI improperly used powers granted under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) to gather information on an unnamed United States senator and other state officials after a petition was submitted by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), according to Just The News. Section 702 of FISA grants the FBI considerable surveillance powers against foreign targets.

“In June 2022, an analyst conducted four queries of Section 702 information using the last names of a U.S. Senator and a state senator, without further limitation,” the court said in the opinion, according to The Hill.A municipal judge’s social security number was used to query the 702 databasein October after the judge reportedly took issue with a local police chief, according to the opinion.

“These disturbing new revelations show how Section 702 surveillance, a spy program the government claims is focused on foreign adversaries, is routinely used against Americans, immigrants, and people who are not accused of any wrongdoing,” Patrick Toomey of the ACLU told The Hill.

“The FBI continues to break the rules put in place to protect Americans, running illegal searches on public officials including a U.S. senator, and it’s long past time for Congress to step in,” Toomey said, according to Just the News. “As Congress debates reauthorizing Section 702, these opinions make clear why fundamental reforms are urgently needed.”

The FBI previously admitted over 275,000 instances of improper use of the 702 database following the release of an April 2022 opinion. The FBI has faced accusations that the agency has become politicized in cases involving pro-life advocates and parents protesting at school board meetings, and was involved in censorship following reportsbased on documents released to journalist Matt Taibbi by Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter.

The FBI told the Daily Caller NewsFoundation that “It is important to note neither the U.S. Senator nor the state senator were surveilled, and no new information was collected on either of them.” (Kek, lie, lie and lie again. That was not the point, FBI is not allowed to put US citizens names into the system.)

these fucking people...ugghhh

Code Kept Secret for Years Reveals Its Flaw—a Backdoor

A secret encryption cipher baked into radio systems used by critical infrastructure workers, police, and others around the world is finally seeing sunlight. Researchers say it isn’t pretty.

"FOR MORE THAN 25 years, a technology used for critical data and voice radio communications around the world has been shrouded in secrecy to prevent anyone from closely scrutinizing its security properties for vulnerabilities. But now it’s finally getting a public airing thanks to a small group of researchers in the Netherlands who got their hands on its viscera and found serious flaws, including a deliberate backdoor.

The backdoor, known for years by vendors that sold the technology but not necessarily by customers, exists in an encryption algorithm baked into radios sold for commercial use in critical infrastructure. It’s used to transmit encrypted data and commands in pipelines, railways, the electric grid, mass transit, and freight trains. It would allow someone to snoop on communications to learn how a system works, then potentially send commands to the radios that could trigger blackouts, halt gas pipeline flows, or re-route trains.

Researchers found a second vulnerability in a different part of the same radio technology that is used in more specialized systems sold exclusively to police forces, prison personnel, military, intelligence agencies, and emergency services, such as the C2000 communication system used by Dutch police, fire brigades, ambulance services, and Ministry of Defense for mission-critical voice and data communications. The flaw would let someone decrypt encrypted voice and data communications and send fraudulent messages to spread misinformation or redirect personnel and forces during critical times.

Three Dutch security analysts discovered the vulnerabilities—five in total—in a European radio standard called TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio), which is used in radios made by Motorola, Damm, Hytera, and others. The standard has been used in radios since the ’90s, but the flaws remained unknown because encryption algorithms used in TETRA were kept secret until now.

The technology is not widely used in the US, where other radio standards are more commonly deployed. But Caleb Mathis, a consultant with Ampere Industrial Security, conducted open source research for WIRED and uncovered contracts, press releases, and other documentation showing TETRA-based radios are used in at least two dozen critical infrastructures in the US. Because TETRA is embedded in radios supplied through resellers and system integrators like PowerTrunk, it’s difficult to identify who might be using them and for what. But Mathis helped WIRED identify several electric utilities, a state border control agency, an oil refinery, chemical plants, a major mass transit system on the East Coast, three international airports that use them for communications among security and ground crew personnel, and a US Army training base."

NO MAN IS AN ISLAND (1962) is based on the true story of U.S. Navy radioman George Ray Tweed who managed to evade capture for almost three years after the Japanese invaded Guam. While in hiding, Tweed signaled U.S. ships to share intel he gathered on the Japanese.

Resistbot helps voters oppose Trump by faxing their text messages to Congressional reps

In the weeks following the election of President Donald Trump, tips for how people can voice their concerns to public officials circulated on social media and on Google docs.

Now a group of techies wants to make reaching officials in Congress even easier. All you have to do is text. Called “Resistbot,” you’d be right to assume this app is meant to be a thorn in Trump’s side.

“We will faithfully deliver any message our users send in, but the voice of the product is for the liberals and conservatives in opposition to the Trump administration,” wrote co-creator Jason Putorti, a designer for AngelList who volunteered for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, in an email to Recode.

Emphasis on “conservatives” is Putorti’s.

This is a nonprofitside-project for those involved. Volunteering on the project in addition to Putorti is Eric Ries, CEO of startup Long-Term Stock Exchange and author of “The Lean Startup,” a book on entrepreneurship. More than a dozen others, including about half a dozen employees of Twilio, are also helping out, according to Putorti.

Launched Wednesday, Resistbot faxes users’ texted messages to officials. Just type “resist” and hit send to 50409, and the automated bot will ask your name and your zip code. The zip code is used to determine who your public officials are. Then you type in your message.

The first message you send will go, by default, to your Senators. The bot is supposed to also help users send messages to Representatives after interacting more with the user, according to the app website.

The site says Resistbot creators have confirmed messages are actually received by congressional staffers.

Sending a text message to reach your Senator or Representative may sound less impactful than making a phone call or stopping by their office in person, but Putorti said faxes and emails “are considered just as effective or more so [than phone calls] because there’s no way to truly verify if a call is from a constituent.”

“What staffers need are tallies, turning constituent input into a count of support for or against. Ideally there would be a much better system for this but our democracy isn't perfect, it's incredibly messy,” he said.

Same Old Microsoft: Software Giant Hit with Antitrust Complaint over Videoconferencing

Alfaview, a German tech company known for its videoconferencing app, has made an antitrust complaint against Microsoft over its decision to bundle its own videoconferencing project with Office.

The complaint adds to an existing one from Salesforce-owned Slack, adding to scrutiny of the tech giant.

Via Reuters:

The U.S. software company has been on the EU competition enforcer’s radar since 2020, when Salesforce-owned (CRM.N) workspace messaging app Slack complained about the tying of Teams with Office.

Alfaview, based in Karlsruhe in south-western Germany and with a 500-strong workforce, said it had filed a similar complaint to the European Commission.

Bundling both products together gives Teams a unique competitive advantage that is not justified by performance and which rivals cannot match, it said.

Once seen as behind the times compared to rivals like Apple, Google, and Facebook, attention towards Microsoft has surged over the past year thanks to its multi-billion dollar backing of OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The tech company is now widely perceived to be at the cutting edge of consumer AI, although the market is changing rapidly.

With more attention comes more scrutiny, however, and Microsoft has faced heavy antitrust fines in the past, including the landmark United States vs. Microsoft case in 2001. In the past decade alone, Microsoft has been fined over $2.5 billion by the European commission for breaching EU competition rules.
