DEVELOPING: One Dead, Three Seriously Wounded in Shooting at Los Angeles Trader Joe’s – Suspect in Custody

One person is dead and three others are seriously injured after an assailant opened fire in a Trader Joe’s parking lot in Los Angeles Saturday afternoon.

The motive for the shooting is unclear.

The unidentified suspect is in custody.

NBC News reported:

One person was killed and three others were seriously injured Saturday afternoon in a shooting outside a Trader Joe’s grocery in Los Angeles.

The shooting was reported at 3:45 p.m. in the community of West Hills in the San Fernando Valley, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson.

A 45-year-old was dead at the scene, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Margaret Stewart.

A 35-year-old woman was hospitalized in critical condition, and a 35-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man were in serious to critical condition at a hospital, officials said.

According to witnesses, the suspect fled in a red sedan then ditched his getaway car.

Hunter Biden is back in the Big Apple as his newest work will be featured in a New York show alongside some of the art world’s renowned abstract painters.

“Bridging the Abstract,” a group exhibition that opens April 6 at the Georges Bergès Gallery in Soho,

includes some of the first son’s latest works alongside paintings by Elaine de Kooning and Helen Frankenthaler.

Biden, 53, will be on hand for the opening, a source told The Post on Saturday,

amid the ongoing probe by a Republican-led House committee that is investigating business dealings by the Biden family for alleged tax fraud,

money laundering and violation of lobbying laws.

Over the last several months, investigators have demanded details on collectors who paid for Hunter’s art, which has been valued between $75,000 and $500,000.

They have sent two letters to William Pittard, the Bergès Gallery’s Washington, DC, attorney, seeking answers.

The Georges Berges Gallery in SoHo will include some of the first son’s latest works alongside paintings by Elaine de Kooning and Helen Frankenthaler.

Among the other painters featured in “Bridging the Abstract” are Todd Williamson, a contemporary painter based in Los Angeles, and Hisako Kobayashi,

a Japanese-born artist who lives in the East Village.

Frankenthaler, an American abstract expressionist painter, died in Connecticut in 2011.

Elaine de Kooning, a landscape and portrait artist, was married to Willem de Kooning, the Dutch-American abstract expressionist painter.

Investigators have demanded details on collectors who paid for Hunter’s art, which has been valued between $75,000 and $500,000.

She died in Southampton, NY in 1989.

In a second letter, sent to Pittard earlier this month, the Committee pushed for the identity of those who bought Hunter’s art in the past.

In the March 24 response, seen by The Post on Tuesday,

Pittard has now written to correct the Committee’s “inaccuracies” that Bergès is obstructing the investigation by refusing to name the buyers.

suggests that drawing Bergès into the investigation of the Biden family finances may constitute “constitutional overreach.”

“Mr. Berges did not convey a refusal to respond or cooperate,”

Pittard writes, adding that the Committee should seek out Biden and his attorney Abbe David Lowell for response to formulate “an appropriate path forward.”

Comer expressed high expectations.

“George Berges needs to cooperate with this investigation,” said Comer,

“and I fully expect him to provide all information and appear for a transcribed interview.”

The FDA had initially attempted to delay the release of Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine safety data for 75 years, despite approving the injection after only 108 days of a safety review on December 11th, 2020.

However, a group of scientists and medical researchers sued the FDA under FOIA to force the release of hundreds of thousands of documents related to the licensing of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine.

In early January 2022, Federal Judge Mark Pittman ordered the FDA to release 55,000 pages per month, and since then, PHMPT has posted all of the documents on its website as they have been published.

One of the most recent documents published by the FDA, saved as 125742_S1_M4_4.2.1 vr vtr 10741.pdf, confirms the use of Graphene Oxide in the manufacturing process of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine.

The document is a description of a study carried out by Pfizer between April 7th 2020 and 19th August 2020, with the objective being “to express and characterize the vaccine antigen encoded by BNT162b2.”

The crackdown on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is a “catastrophic event,” an Ethiopian cleric has said

The “evildoers” who persecute Christians will derive no benefit from such action either on Earth or in the afterlife, Kesis Mezgebu, a prominent Ethiopian Orthodox priest, has told RT.

Mezgebu, who serves at the Holy Trinity Theological University in Addis Ababa, was commenting on the attempts by the government of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to evict the monks of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) from the country’s Kiev-Pechersk Lavra monastery.

On Saturday, Metropolitan Pavel, the abbot of the Lavra, was placed under house arrest on accusations of “inciting religious hatred” and “justifying” Russia’s military operation in Ukraine. The abbot has vigorously denied those allegations.

What’s happening in Ukraine is a “catastrophic event,” perpetrated by an “evil force,”Mezgebu said in an interview on Sunday. “This is atrocity…hatred… completely evil spirit,” he added, describing the actions of the Kiev authorities.

Christians tend to help others and are always a stabilizing factor in a society, so those who persecute them, “will not get any advantage earthly or heavenly, either physically or mentally… They will be hurt. They will be condemned,” he said.

According to Mezgebu, followers of the UOC in Ukraine “might be in danger soon” because they may be left with no other choice but to tell the “evildoers” to stop what they’re doing.He urged believers to stay “peaceful [and] remain within the Church” to avoid escalation.

Ukraine has experienced religious tensions for years, with two entities claiming to be the country’s true Orthodox Church. The Kiev government is supporting the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), which was created only in 2014 and which the Russian Orthodox Church considers schismatic. Zelensky has explained the moves against the UOC by the need to protect Ukraine’s “spiritual independence” and deprive Russia of an opportunity to “to manipulate the spirituality of our people” amid the conflict between the two countries.

However, the Ethiopian priest suggested that“nationalist xenophobia” can only lead to suffering. “This will never take us anywhere. We have a lot of things to do together in harmony and collaboration, rather than destroying one another in the name of nationality or whatever kind of patriotic feeling. This is not how you reveal your patriotism,” he explained.

Mezgebu also suggested that the West is aware of the religious persecution in Ukraine, but – despite having the ability to intervene – it remains silent on the issue becauseit shares a “similar agenda” with Kiev. (He’s right about that!)

Attempts to isolate Russia have failed – EU member

Moscow has assumed the rotating presidency in the UN Security Council

Western countries have failed in their efforts to make Russia a pariah on the global stage, as the country has assumed the rotating presidency in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Pawel Jablonski said on Saturday.

Speaking to Telewizja Republika TV, Jablonski was asked to comment on remarks by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, who spoke out against Moscow taking the leading role in the UNSC on April 1, describing it as “a bad joke.”

“This is not funny at all, because unfortunately,it serves as proof that in international organizations, this mechanism of isolating Russia does not work as it should,” Jablonski said, reiterating that Warsaw wants to strip Moscow of the opportunity to influence other countries.

He added that Russia’s presidency in the council does not bode well for anyone, suggesting that it should be “excluded or suspended” from the UN and UNSC. However, Russia is one of the council’s five permanent members and has the right of veto, making its exclusion virtually impossible.

Jablonski conceded that despite the Ukraine conflict, Moscow has many allies in other countries, especially those that once were Western colonies.

Russia assumed the rotating monthly UNSC presidency on Saturday, which passes from country to country among its 15 member states, following English alphabetical order since 1946.

While the development triggered condemnation from Ukraine, the US struck a different tone, with White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre urging Russia “to conduct itself professionally.” She added that there is “no feasible international legal pathway” to change the reality in which Russia is a permanent member of the Security Council.

On Saturday, Russia’s deputy permanent representative to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, said the country’s UNSC presidency has “put to shame” Moscow’s “enemies and spiteful critics.”

He alsovowed that Russia would “act as an honest broker” in the international organization. “Unlike our former Western partners, we play fairly in the international arena and do not promote double standards.”

German MP wants US troops expelled

America’s policies create the impression that it does not need allies, only vassals, German lawmaker Sevim Dagdelen has warned

Berlin must break with its “relationship of extreme subservience” to America and its foreign policies “marked by breaches of international law,” Sevim Dagdelen, the deputy head of the Left party’s faction in the Bundestag, said on Friday. Germany must demand that US forces withdraw, along with their nuclear weapons, she added.

“After 78 years, it is now time for the US soldiers to go home,” Dagdelen announced at a parliamentary event marking the75th anniversary of the Marshall Plan. The US military bases act “like extraterrestrial zones where the [German] constitution does not apply,” the MP, who is also a member of the parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, said.

Washington uses its bases in Germany to wage wars abroad and launch “lethal drone strikes,” Dagdelen said, adding that some of these actions are “in breach of international law.”

She also criticized the regular NATO meetings at America’s Ramstein Air Base in Germany, where military aid to Kiev is discussed. Washington hosts these conferences “as if the Occupation Statute were still in force,” the MP said, adding that Berlin also allowed the US to put Germany “in the line of fire” with the German-made Leopard tank deliveries to Ukraine.

German lawmakers made a decision on the withdrawal of America’s nuclear weapons in 2010, but these arms are still in place, Dagdelen said. “We stand by our position: the US nuclear weapons must go,” she added.

“The US administration gives the impression that they do not want allies, just loyal vassals,”the MP said, pointing to America’s negligence toward its partners’ interests and demands. According to Dagdelen, “fewer and fewer countries around the world are prepared to accept this.” A true friendship should be based on mutual respect for human rights and international law, the MP added.

Germany hosts by far the largest number of US military personnel out of all European nations.Over 35,000 American troops were stationed on its soil as of 2022. Italy, which hosts the second-largest number of American soldiers, trails far behind, as around 12,000 US military personnel were stationed there at the same time.

Marshall Plan

Truman Approves the Marshall Plan

President Harry Truman signed the Marshall Plan on April 3, 1948, and aid was distributed to 16 European nations, including Britain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, West Germany and Norway.

To highlight the significance of America’s largesse, the billions committed in aid effectively amounted to a generous 5 percent of U.S. gross domestic product at the time.

What Was the Marshall Plan?

The Marshall Plan provided aid to the recipients essentially on a per capita basis, with larger amounts given to major industrial powers, such as West Germany, France and Great Britain. This was based on the belief of Marshall and his advisors that recovery in these larger nations was essential to overall European recovery.

Still, not all participating nations benefitted equally. Nations such as Italy, who had fought with the Axis powers alongside Nazi Germany, and those who remained neutral (e.g., Switzerland) received less assistance per capita than those countries who fought with the United States and the other Allied powers.

The notable exception was West Germany: Though all of Germany was damaged significantly toward the end of World War II, a viable and revitalized West Germany was seen as essential to economic stability in the region, and as a not-so-subtle rebuke of the communist government and economic system on the other side of the “Iron Curtain” in East Germany.

In all, Great Britain received roughly one-quarter of the total aid provided under the Marshall Plan, while France was given less than one fifth of the funds.

Cold War

In addition to economic redevelopment, one of the stated goals of the Marshall Plan was to halt the spread of communism on the European continent.

Implementation of the Marshall Plan has been cited as the beginning of the Cold Warbetween the United States, its European allies and the Soviet Union, which had effectively taken control of much of central and eastern Europe and established its satellite republics as communist nations.

The Marshall Plan is also considered a key catalyst for the formation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), a military alliance between North American and European countries established in 1949.

Impact of the Marshall Plan

Interestingly, in the decades since its implementation, the true economic benefit of the Marshall Plan has been the subject of much debate. Indeed, reports at the time suggest that, by the time the plan took effect, Western Europe was already well on the road to recovery.

And, despite the significant investment on the part of the United States, the funds provided under the Marshall Plan accounted for less than 3 percent of the combined national incomes of the countries that received them. This led to relatively modest growth of GDP in these countries during the four-year period the plan was in effect.

That said, by the time of the plan’s final year, 1952, economic growth in the countries that had received funds had surpassed pre-war levels, a strong indicator of the program’s positive impact, at least economically.

Political Legacy of the Marshall Plan

Politically, however, the legacy of the Marshall Plan arguably tells a different story. Given the refusal to participate on the part of the so-called Eastern Bloc of Soviet states, the initiative certainly reinforced divisions that were already beginning to take root on the continent.

It’s worth noting, too, that theCentral Intelligence Agency (CIA), the secret service agency of the United States, received 5 percent of the funds allocated under the Marshall Plan. The CIA used these funds to establish “front” businesses in several European countries that were designed to further U.S. interests in the region.

The agency also allegedlyfinanced an anti-communist insurgency in Ukraine, which at the time was a Soviet satellite state.

By and large, though, the Marshall Plan was generally lauded for the desperately needed boost it gave America’s European allies. As the designer of the plan, George C. Marshallhimself said, “Our policy is not directed against any country, but against hunger, poverty, desperation and chaos.”

Still, efforts to extend the Marshall Plan beyond its initial four-year period stalled with the beginning of the Korean War in 1950.The countries that received funds under the plan didn’t have to repay the United States, as the monies were awarded in the form of grants. However, the countries did return roughly 5 percent of the money to cover the administrative costs of the plan’s implementation.

Joe Biden: Coronation no-show

U.S. President Joe Biden will not attend the coronation of King Charles next month, according to the Telegraph, which claims there are concerns he is too old to travel across the Atlantic twice in a month, and wants instead to prioritize an April 11 trip to Northern Ireland.

Biden is “not expected” to join dozens of heads of state for the event, sources told the paper, and will send a delegation featuring “high-profile representatives” in his place. First Lady Jill Biden may go, with her husband reportedly keen to avoid any sense the event is being snubbed.

Sources close to Biden insisted to the Telegraph that his relationship with Charles was “strong,” and may make time to meet him when he visits Northern Ireland.

President Dwight Eisenhower did not attend Queen Elizabeth’s coronation in 1953. Historically it was considered diplomatic not to send a figure who would overshadow the monarch being crowned.

A source described as “close to discussions on his attendance of the coronation” said: “The guy is 80. They space out his big bursts of activity quite considerably. They did that too with Trump, and he was younger. When Biden does something like the State of the Union address, we didn’t see much from him in the following 48 hours. They don’t like to push him around the world too much.”

Which is all very reasonable… but still feels like a snub.

Meta Announces New Advances in AI Technology, Featuring Robots That Learn From Interaction With Humans

Meta Inc. has announced new developments in AI technology. According to a statement, the company has facilitated new advancements for robots to learn through direct interactions with real-world humans.

The advancements include the performing of “challenging sensorimotor skills.”

The company made the statement in a press release on March 31. In it, the company specified that the new approach involves “training a general-purpose visual representation model (an artificial visual cortex) from a large number of egocentric videos.”

The videos originate from Meta’s open-source dataset. It depicts people engaging in daily routine activities, including grocery shopping and preparing a meal.

Part of the approach involves the training of robots through the development an artificial visual cortex. This would be created by Meta’s Facebook AI Research team (FAIR), who are working to recreate the region of the human brain that converts vision to movement.

In the dataset known as Ego4D, the robots will learn a vast variety of tasks from cooking to sports, cleaning, and craft work. The dataset consists of several thousands of hours of wearable camera video, featuring people taking part in the research, engaging in daily activities which the robots aim to replicate.

“To study the effect of pre-training data scale and diversity, we combine over 4,000 hours of egocentric videos from 7 different sources (over 5.6 [million] images) and ImageNet to train different-sized vision transformers using Masked Auto-Encoding (MAE) on slices of this data,” according to Meta.

The company added in the press release, that its research team has devised a visual foundation model known as “CortexBench.” It features 17 different sensorimotor tasks in simulation, “spanning locomotion, navigation, and dexterous and mobile manipulation.”

“The visual environments span from flat infinite planes to tabletop settings to photorealistic 3D scans of real-world indoor spaces,” the company says.

“Although prior work has focused on a small set of robotic tasks, a visual cortex for embodied AI should work well for a diverse set of sensorimotor tasks in diverse environments across diverse embodiments,” the company added.

March 25 was the first anniversary of the discovery of 115 aborted babies in a toxic waste bin in Washington D.C., five of which were late-term but police have given no updates to the investigation since April 2022, according to pro-life advocates.

When questioned by Republican Rep. Anna Luna of Florida during a House Oversight hearing on Wednesday, members of the D.C. council said they did not know if an investigation was taking place.

This week was the first anniversary of the discovery of over 100 aborted babies in Washington D.C., five of which were reported to be potential infanticides but police have given almost no information regarding the status of the investigation, according to pro-life advocates.

On March 25, 2022, 115 bodies of aborted babies were found in toxic waste containers from the Washington Surgi-Center in Washington, D.C. by Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU), five of them appeared to be late-stage, and looked to have been potentially left to die after a failed abortion attempt, according to Live Action. The bodies were turned over to the police but despite multiple calls for investigation into the clinic and circumstances surrounding the abortions, the city has failed to take any action according to several pro-life advocates that spoke with the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“The horrific wounds on the bodies of these innocent children—some who were nearly full-term, and all may have been able to survive outside the womb—indicate destructive violations of federal law,” Lila Rose, president and founder of Live Action told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “We demand justice for these children who deserved life and were not protected against these brutal actions. I urge the pro-life majority in the House of Representatives to hold a full investigation on this matter as we demand Justice for the Five.”

Emily Osmet, vice president of communications at Susan B. Anthony pro-Life America, told the DCNF that the lack of concern surrounding the case was incredibly frustrating.

“Why do we have no answers on this? We have no autopsies [and] we have no data,” Osmet said. “Thankfully, yesterday in a congressional hearing, Representative Luna grilled the D.C. authorities on where the investigation stands, but they couldn’t even answer; they had no answer for her.”

Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida broke down in tears during the House Oversight Committee hearing on Wednesday and demanded that the bodies of the five larger babies be autopsied by the D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine if they were left to die after a failed abortion attempt at the Washington Surgi-Center.

D.C. police initially said they were looking into the situation immediately after the bodies were reported, according to CNN, but have not provided any updates since early April 2022. When questioned by Luna, members of the D.C. council said they did not know if an investigation was taking place.

A series of Israeli airstrikes hit the central Syrian governorate of Homs early on April 2, in the third such attack on the war-torn country in the last few days.

Citing a military source, the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency said that Israel carried out “an aerial aggression from the direction of northwest Beirut targeting some outposts in Homs city and its countryside at 00:35 am.”

Syrian air defenses intercepted the missiles and shot down some of them, the source said, adding that the attack caused some material damage and wounded five service members.

Two Western intelligence sources told the Reuters news agency that the airstrikes targeted the T4 air base in the eastern Homs countryside, and al-Dabaa air base in the southern countryside of the governorate. According to the unnamed sources, Iranian military personnel and fighters from Lebanon’s Hezbollah are stationed at both bases.

A regional intelligence source also said that an underground research center where Iranian scientists are suspected of developing missile and drone capabilities was also among the targets. Reuters said it was unable to verify the authenticity of the claims.

Two waves of Israeli airstrikes hit positions in the Syrian capital, Damascus, and its outskirts on March 30 and 31, causing human and material losses.

Without referring to the recent attacks on Syria, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a televised speech on April 2 that Israel is “exacting a heavy price from terrorist-supporting regimes” outside of its borders.

Israel carried out hundreds of strikes on Syria over the past decade as a part of a covert military campaign known as “the war between the wars”. Tel Aviv rarely discusses the campaign. However, it says it is making efforts to prevent Iranian-backed forces, namely Hezbollah, from smuggling advanced weapons and entrenching themselves in the country.

25-car train derailment reported in Montana=

Atrain derailed near Quinn's Hot Springs along Highway 135 on Sunday morning, according to Sanders County dispatch.

At about 9:20 a.m., calls came in about a 25-car derailment on Highway 135 close to mile marker 19, according to Sanders County dispatch. They described it as a non-hazardous materials event.

No injuries have been reported yet. According to dispatch, it was a cargo-carrying train and not a passenger train.

The Plains Rural Fire Department along with Sanders County authorities are on-scene, and the Montana Rail Link has been altered about the derailment.

Moscow considers it unacceptable that Washington and the US media seek to portray the case as political, Sergey Lavrov has said

Washington should respect decisions made by the Russian authorities in accordance with the nation’s own laws and international obligations, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Sunday. The two discussed the arrest of Wall Street Journal correspondent Evan Gershkovich, who was charged with espionage in Russia earlier this week.

Gershkovich was “caught red handed” trying to obtain state secrets under the guise of journalism, Lavrov told Blinken in a phone call, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.Moscow also informed the US Embassy about his arrest “through an established procedure,” the statement added.

Russia considers it unacceptable that Washington officials and the US media are trying to hype this case and portray it as political, the foreign minister said.

Blinken “conveyed the United States’ grave concern over Russia’s unacceptable detention of a U.S. citizen journalist” and called for his immediate release, the State Department said in a statement, adding that the two officials also discussed ways of creating “an environment that permits diplomatic missions to carry out their work.” Moscow only noted that issues related to bilateral ties were discussed. (Yeah like we wouldn’t arrest a Russian reporter spying in the US!)

On Thursday, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) reported that it had detained Gershkovich as he was allegedly trying to obtain classified information about a defense plant located in the Russian Urals. The FSB also said he is now suspected of espionage, a crime punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

Following the arrest, the WSJ demanded that all Russian journalists and the country’s envoy be expelled from the US, saying it is the “minimum to expect” in this case. It also accused the administration of President Joe Biden of showing weakness, and called for a tougher response. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov ridiculed the WSJ’s demand as “absurd and wrong.”

Iran warns off US spy plane – media

The electronic surveillance aircraft was turned back after it violated Iranian airspace, state media reported

The Iranian navy turned back an American surveillance plane after it entered the country’s airspace on Sunday, the IRNA news agency reported.Iran has previously shot down American spy aircraft.

A US EP-3E reconnaissance plane was identified by the Iranian navy over the Sea of Oman on Sunday afternoon, the state-owned news outlet reported.Following a warning from the navy, the plane returned to international airspace, the report continued.

Citing navy officials, Iran’s Tasnim news agency said thatthe plane did not actually enter Iranian airspace, and was turned around before it could do so. “Iranian naval forces gave the plane a warning and blocked its unauthorized entry into the Iranian airspace,”the agency’s version of events read.

At the time of writing, the US has not commented on the alleged incident.

The Lockheed EP-3E is an electronic signals reconnaissance variant of the P-3 Orion and is designed to patrol at low speedoff enemy shores and intercept communications. In 2001, an EP-3E operated by the US navy collided with a Chinese J-8 interceptor jet over the South China Sea. After dismantling the EP-3E, China eventually returned the plane and its 24-man crew to the US, but only after billing Washington for shipping costs and the 11 days of food and lodging it provided the crew.

The US often uses both manned and unmanned aircraft to surveil Iran. In 2019, Iranian air defense forces shot down an American RQ-4 Global Hawk surveillance drone over the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran said the craft had violated its airspace, whileWashington insisted it had stayed in international skies.

US President Donald Trump responded to the shootdown by ordering a retaliatory missile strike,before calling off the attack out of a reluctance to inflict human casualtiesafter the loss of an unmanned drone. Trump instead imposed sanctions on Iranian military officials and authorized cyber attacks on Iranian military computer systems, which Tehran said it thwarted. Mexican authorities have rescued five children following the arrest of their parents, who were on the U.S. Marshals’ Most Wanted List.

Edgar Salvador Casian-Garcia, 34, and Araceli Medina, 38, were charged with murder and multiple child sex abuse charges in Washington State.

The couple had been elevated to the Marshals’ 15 Most Wanted in February, becoming the first couple to make the list.

Two of Casian-Garcia’s daughters, aged 8 and 3, were found abandoned in Tijuana, Mexico, in late 2020, allegedly showing signs of severe sexual abuse, officials said.

Investigators suspected the couple of abusing and trafficking their children.

Casian-Garcia and Medina were also wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of their 7-year-old son, whose body was found in rural Washington in February 2022.

The couple fled to Mexico in June 2021, taking their five children with them.

A reward of up to $25,000 for each of the fugitives was offered for tips that led to their capture.

The couple is expected to be extradited to the U.S. to face criminal proceedings. They are both charged with aggravated murder in the first degree, four counts of rape of a child in the first degree and three counts of assault of a child in the first degree in Franklin County, as reported by the Marshals in February.

The probe into Micron Technology comes as Beijing battles the US and its allies for semiconductor supremacy

China has opened an investigation into Micron Technology, an Idaho-based semiconductor firm. The probe comes as the US seeks to curtail Beijing’s access to these vital electronic components amid a deepening tech war.

In a statement on Friday, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) said that it opened its investigation in order to “safeguard key information infrastructure supply chain security” and “prevent cyberspace security risks due to problematic products.”

While the Chinese government has not commented further on the investigation, several factors could have influenced the CAC’s decision to probe an American chipmaker, and Micron in particular.

Semiconductors are used in a host of modern devices, from smartphones to washing machines to guided missiles. The majority of these microchips are made in East Asia, with Taiwan producing more than 60%, and much of the remainder split between South Korea, Japan, the US, and China.

The US has recently moved to extend its control over the industry, offering $52 billion in federal funding to domestic manufacturers last August and imposing export controls last October to block the sale to China of the hardware and software used to produce chips. Furthermore, the US is currently in talks with Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan to formalize the so-called ‘Chip 4 Alliance,’ which Beijing sees as an attempt to exclude China from semiconductor supply chains.

Micron allegedly lobbied the Biden administration to pass the manufacturing funding bill, andclosed a chip design center in Shanghai months before it became law, the South China Morning Post reported.

In a statement on Friday, the company said that it is “cooperating fully” with the CAC, and that it “stand[s] by the security of our products.”

Finnish conservative leader Petteri Orpo has won a nail-biting three-way election race, defeating Prime Minister Sanna Marin's centre left. NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) group leader and research scientist Dimitra Atri from the Center for Space Science and his team have created a never-seen-before map of Mars, using images exclusively created from the Emirates Exploration Imager (EXI).

The EXI is a state-of-the-art imaging system on-board the Emirates Mars Mission (EMM), also known as Hope or Al-Amal, which is currently orbiting Mars. The global photographic map not only showcases new images of the Red Planet from the perspective of the Hope probe, but is a testament to the UAE’s huge advancements in the field of science, and will be a valuable resource to motivate young people to pursue careers in STEM disciplines in the UAE.

The Mars Map combines more than 3,000 observations, produced by Hope’s on board EXI instrument. Atri and his team created the color composite map by stitching together the thousands of observations from the EXI instrument over the course of one Mars year (two Earth years).

The Mars Map shows regions and features of the Red Planet in exceptional resolution, highlighting all its major features. For example, polar ice caps, mountains, volcanoes, remnants of ancient rivers, lakes, valleys, and impact craters are visible. Such highly detailed maps are an essential foundation upon which future scientific research on Mars can be built. The map will further allow scientists to learn about momentous shifts in climate that can fundamentally alter planets, which will provide insights that may be able to help us on Earth too.

“The complete Mars Map also brings the UAE and the Arab world another step closer to achieving EMM’s ambitious mission goal, to provide a complete global picture of the Martian climate,” Atri added. “More than 30 previous spacecraft have only managed to capture a snapshot of the Mars weather, whilst EMM will follow the seasonal changes throughout a Martian year. The Hope probe is helping researchers to create this global image of the planet due to its strategic position. Hope circles Mars in an elliptical orbit that allows it to observe from much further away than any other spacecraft. This strategic position is helping researchers to create a global image of the planet,” he said.

EMM is the UAE and the Arab world’s first interplanetary mission commissioned by the country’s leaders in 2014. The spacecraft was launched from Japan on July 20, 2020. Seven months later, on February 9, 2021, the Hope probe entered Mars’ orbit.

Chief Investigator at Manhattan DA’s Office Susan Hoffinger Previously Donated to Biden and Other Dems

The Chief of the Investigation Division at the Manhattan District Attorney’s office has a history of donating to Democrat political candidates.

Campaign donation records provided by Campaign Money reveal Chief Investigator of the Manhattan DA Office Susan Hoffinger donated to Joe Biden’s Presidential campaign and would donate to the the Democrat PAC ActBlue numerous times.

In the 2020 election cycle Hoffinger donated $250 to Biden and donated a little over $1,000 to ActBlue.

Hoffinger’s donations to Biden and a democratic PAC could be a conflict of interest considering Trump is the leading opposition to the Democratic Party.

Trump’s indictment isn’t the first time Hoffinger will be overseeing a case that investigates Trump.

As The Gateway Pundit reported back in February of 2022, Hoffinger was appointed by DA Alvin Bragg to over see the probe of the Trump Organizations after prosecutors, Carey Dunne and Mark Pomerantz resigned from their positions at the Manhattan DA’s Office.

The Manhattan’s DA Office is crawling with partisan executives members who aren’t shy about showing what side of the aisle they are on.

Chief Executive Assistant Meg Reiss who some believe is the one calling the shots inside of the DA office previously liked tweets on her Twitter account that called for Trump to be “dumped” and “driven out”.

‘Age Is A Number’: Gender Clinic Offered Puberty Blockers To Kids As Young As 8, Surgery Referrals At 14, Records Show

The Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania (CHOP) Gender and Sexuality Development Program offers medical interventions to children as young as eight as part of the medical transition process, according to documents reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Clinic employees have publicly advocated for certain cross-sex surgeries for minors, along with hormones and puberty blockers, and have downplayed the seriousness of the infertility which is a known consequence of some of these interventions.

“I think it’s really important to remember that age is a number,” clinic co-founder Dr. Linda Hawkins said. “But as an adolescent medicine and developmental specialist, we know that where a child is cognitively and socially is more important than that exact number of their age.”

The Gender and Sexuality Development Program at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) offers drastic medical interventions as part of the gender transition process to children as young as eight, according to statements and documents reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

CHOP’s youth gender clinic, one of the first in the U.S., is a major trans medical provider in Pennsylvania and has strong ties to Rachel Levine, a former trans activist who currently serves as the U.S. assistant secretary for health. The clinic recently came under fire for holding seminars where teachers were instructed to hide students’ trans identities from their parents. Clinic employees also promoted cross-sex procedures for children while downplaying the risks, documents and statements reveal.

The clinic has referred children as young as 14 for “top surgery,” a euphemism for mastectomies or breast construction, though most referrals are for patients aged 16-18, Dowshen told lawmakers at a Pennsylvania House of Representatives Health Committee hearing in 2020.

The clinic’s co-founders, Dr. Linda Hawkins and Dr. Nadia Dowshen, advocated for “top surgery” for minors in a 2021 paper published in Pediatrics, the medical journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

“We observed consensus that chest dysphoria is a major source of distress and can be functionally disabling to transmasculine youth. MCS performed during adolescence, including before age 18, can alleviate suffering and improve functioning,” they wrote in their paper.

The clinic worked to secure surgical referrals for minors and even employed a social worker who served as a “surgery advocate,” collecting letters of support on behalf of gender dysphoric minors in order to persuade insurance companies to cover their surgeries, according to a 2021 report from CHOP. A staffer had previously pushed for such a position to be funded with the help of then-acting secretary of health for the state, Rachel Levine, and argued that the position would yield a high return on investment.

“I think it’s really important to remember that age is a number,” she said at the hearing. “But as an adolescent medicine and developmental specialist, we know that where a child is cognitively and socially is more important than that exact number of their age.”

CHOP professionals laid out the gender clinic’s guidelines for sex change procedures in a webinar on the clinic’s standards of care, which the hospital created in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and the DCNF obtained through a public records request.

The clinic advised “affirmation” of a child’s gender identity and social transition to the opposite sex for kids under the age of eight, who are too young for medical interventions under the clinic’s guidelines.

For medical interventions, patients must experience long-lasting gender nonconformity, which emerged or worsened at the onset of puberty, and have any coexisting medical, social and psychological issues addressed prior to the onset of medical treatment, according to the webinar.
