"Hunter Biden’s ex-wife plans to break her silence about how his cheating and substance abuse destroyed their marriage in a new memoir that’s set for release during the lead-up to November’s critical mid-term elections.
Kathleen Buhle’s “If We Break: A Memoir of Marriage, Addiction, and Healing” is described by its publisher as a “page-turning and heartbreaking” account of “why she kept so much hidden — from her daughters and herself — for so many years.”
“When my marriage ended, I felt like I’d lost my sense of who I was,” Buhle told People magazine, which on Wednesday was first to report on the book.
“Anyone who has seen addiction ruin a relationship, or been through infidelity and divorce, can tell you how devastating it feels.
“But what I also realized through those crushing experiences is that I needed to find a way to stand on my own.”
Buhle also said that writing the book “has been incredibly healing” and that she hoped “it will be meaningful to those who have been through addiction or divorce, and especially to women who have felt like their entire identity was tied to their spouse.”
"The announcement of Buhle’s memoir came the same day that the approval rating for Biden’s dad, President Joe Biden, sank to just 33 percent in a poll released by Quinnipiac University.
On its website, The Crown Publishing Group said it plans to release the $27 hardcover version on June 14, less than five months before the elections that could shift the narrow balance of power in both the House and Senate from Democrats to Republicans.
Buhle, 53, and Hunter Biden, 51, were married for 24 years before divorcing in 2017, and they share three grown daughters, Naomi, Finnegan, and Maisy."
Last year, Hunter Biden released his own memoir, “Beautiful Things,” in which he detailed a crack addiction that had him smoking the drug “every 15 minutes” and how he was once “so desperate for a drink that I couldn’t make the one-block walk between a liquor store and my apartment without uncapping the bottle to take a swig.”
He also wrote that Buhle learned of his notorious affair with brother Beau Biden’s widow, Hallie Biden, when she found texts messages between them on an old iPad, saying, “That gave her the gift of justification: I was the sicko sleeping with my brother’s wife.”
Page Six exclusively revealed that sordid relationship in March 2017, less than two years after Beau Biden, Delaware’s attorney general, died of brain cancer — and informed Joe Biden about the affair by asking him for a comment.
In his memoir, Hunter Biden claimed to have “no recollection” of sex with the Arkansas woman who successfully sued him for paternity and support of her child — and who Page Six exclusively revealed was working as a stripper in Washington, DC, around the time she got pregnant.
Hunter Biden has since fathered a fifth child, a son named Beau, with wife Melissa Cohen, who he married just six days after they started dating.

Much of the [Blair-Bush] discussions were tete a tete. However, Jonathan Powell and I joined the President and the PM at Crawford ranch for informal talks on the morning of Saturday April 6.
Condi Rice [Bush's national security advisor] and Andy Card [Bush's chief of staff] accompanied Bush.
Among the issues discussed was Iraq and other topics separately.
This letter is exceptionally sensitive and the PM instructed it should be very tightly held, it should be shown only to those with a real need to know and no further copies should be made.
Bush said he and the PM had discussed Iraq on their own over dinner the previous evening.
At present Centcom had no war plan as such. Thinking ahead so far was on a broad and central level, though a very small Centcom cell had recently been established in conditions of great secrecy to look at the detailed military planning.
Condi Rice said 99 per cent of Centcom were unaware of this.
When it had done more work Bush would be ready to agree to UK and US planners sitting down together to examine the options. He wanted us to work through the issues together. Whatever plan emerged we had to ensure victory. We could not afford to fail.
But it would be essential to ensure that acting against Saddam enhanced rather than diminished regional stability. He had therefore reassured the Turks that there was no question of the break-up of Iraq and the emergence of a Kurdish state.
But there were nevertheless a number of imponderables.
He didn’t know who would take Saddam’s place if and when we toppled him.
But he didn’t much care. He was working on the assumption that anyone would be an improvement.
Nevertheless Bush accepted we needed to manage the PR aspect of all this with great care.
He accepted we needed to put Saddam on the spot over the UN inspectors, we should tell him that we wanted proof of his claim that he was not developing WMDs. This could only be forthcoming if UN inspectors were allowed in on the basis that they could go anywhere inside Iraq at any time.
Bush added that Saddam could not be allowed to have any say over the nationality or composition of the inspection team.
He said the timing of any action against Saddam would be very important. He would not want to launch any operation before the US Congressional elections in the autumn. Otherwise he would be accused of warmongering for electoral benefit.
In effect this meant there was a window of opportunity between the beginning of November and the end of February.
‘Although we may not decide to do it this year at all.’
The PM said no one could doubt the world would be a better place if there were regime change in Iraq. But in going down the inspectors route, we would have to give careful thought to how we framed the ultimatum to Saddam to allow them to do their job.
Saddam would very probably try to obstruct the inspectors and play for time. This was why it was so important we insisted they must be allowed in at any time and be free to visit any place or installation.
The PM said we needed an accompanying PR strategy that highlighted the risks of Saddam’s WMD programme and his appalling human rights record. Bush strongly agreed.
The PM said this approach would be important in managing European public opinion and in helping the President construct an international coalition.
The PM would emphasise to European partners that Saddam was being given an opportunity to co-operate.
If, as he expected, Saddam failed to do so, the Europeans would find it very much harder to resist the logic that we must take action to deal with an evil regime that threatens us with its WMD programme.
We would still face the question of why we had decided to act now, what had changed?
The answer had to be that we must think ahead, this was one of the lessons of 9/11: failure to take action in good time meant the risks would only grow and might force us to take much more costly action later.
The President agreed with Mr Blair’s line of argument.

The nation’s capital, one would think, would be the freest in our Constitutional Republic. That assumes, of course, the Constitution is what elected leaders uphold. As we’ve seen throughout the scamdemic, it’s not the Law of the Land that’s held high but fear and control.
“The COVID-19 pandemic, including the exponential spread of its Omicron variant, threatens the health and welfare of District residents, workers, and visitors and threatens to overwhelm our hospital capacity,”declared DC Mayor Muriel Bowser on December 21st. The spread was so severe she decided to hold off on the forced vaccine mandate for nearly an entire month. Nothing says emergency like waiting until after the Christmas and New Year’s holiday season. Wouldn’t want your local economy to miss out on the end-of-the-year influx of cash. Follow the science, people.
Instead, Bowser’s unconstitutional mandate beginsone week before the annual March for Life in DC. It’s already caused massive cancellations in interior events because the contradictory mandate requiresall restaurants, bars, gyms, indoor meeting spaces, and indoor entertainment venues to refuse people (12 years old and older) entrance into their establishments unless they prove their vaccination status. People who claim an exemption have to show documentation of a medical/religious exemption and have a negative COVID test within the last 24 hours…you know, the tests that are super accurate and abundantly available.
Businesses must post signage of the segregation order and can be fined up to $1000 or even lose their licenses. Big box stores, don’t worry. You’re safe. You can have thousands milling around in your stores; COVID apparently doesn’t do retail. Oh, and here’s another kicker. The employees at the businesses that are banning the unvaccinated…don’t have to be vaccinated themselves!
Pandemic power has gone to too many politicians’ heads. The infection rate is sky high.
Liberals go apoplectic if law enforcement requires the immigration status from a suspected criminal, but celebrate their COVID consciousness when they demand an American’s vaccination status. People haven’t been forced to show their “freedom papers” since free blacks had to carry their certificates of freedom with them prior to the abolition of slavery.
The Party of Jim Crow is now the Party of Jim Covid. Segregation yesterday. Segregation today. Segregation forever.
Is it really any surprise? The Democrat Party fought to protect the evil of slavery. The KKK was basically their terrorist wing. Separate and unequal was, and is, their mantra. They’re the Party of Endless Identity Politics. Every day there seems to be a new identity formed, a new category created, and a new reason to separate ourselves into superficial factions.
But if this plandemic has shown us anything, it’s shown the Left’s addiction to dividing us. “Stay at Home!”, “Shelter in Place!”, “Mask Up!”, “Don’t Gather!”, “You’re Not Essential!”, “Quarantine!”, “Remote Learning!”, “6 Feet Apart!”, “Anti-Vaxxer!”, “Abortion is Essential Healthcare” and now “No Unvaccinated Allowed.”
We are reliving one of the worst parts of American history once thought defeated by a civil rights movement comprised of courageous men and women of every hue. But oh, how we’re creatures of habit. We’re given daily doses of the actual death of democracy promoted by people like Dr. Leana Wen, the former (fired) president of Planned Parenthood. She demands less freedoms for the unvaccinated to force us all to take the “vaccine.” Wen, whose family fled Communist China, went from pushing population control at Planned Parenthood to demanding control of the American population through pandemic policies.
Similarly ironic is the perilous progressivism (aka regressivism) ofMayor Bowser, a political leader who demands that our nation recognize DC’s “statehood” but refuses to recognize everyone’s personhood. Bowser doesn’t believe in equality, whether it’s Americans rightfully present in the nation’s capital or the unborn rightfully present in the womb. The radically pro-abortion mayor stands with the leading killer in the black community—Planned Parenthood.

Muriel E. Bowser said she will run for a third term as mayor of Washington in 2022, asking voters to grant her four more years to manage the city’s recovery from the coronavirus pandemic and see through developments in housing and health care that she says will make the District more accessible to residents and competitive throughout the region.
Bowser’s decision, which she announced Thursday, broadens a pool of mayoral hopefuls that already includes two members of the city’s council.
Bowser (D) also said she will participate in the city program that offers public financing to candidates who pledge to only accept small-dollar donations, despite her early misgivings about using tax dollars for campaigns when it was first proposed by the D.C. Council. (She later changed course and supported the legislation.)
Having served in elective office in D.C. for about 17 years, Bowser said her depth of knowledge about the city’s government and rapport with community leaders set her apart from candidates who have tried to sell voters on the need for a fresh approach.
“I ran my first campaign in 2004, where I asked Riggs Park residents to trust me,” said Bowser, reflecting on her time as Ward 4 advisory neighborhood commissioner. “And that’s what I’m asking D.C. residents to do again: Trust that I know where we are as a city better than most, and that I can execute a vision to bring the city back.”
Bowser is known for her strong rhetoric in defense of the city’s rights and her occasional creative strokes, like transforming the wide street outside the Trump White House overnight into “Black Lives Matter Plaza” with gallons of yellow paint. But she has also been criticized by some residents who are frustrated with spiking levels of gun violence and the high cost of housing after almost seven years of her tenure in office, and who view her decision-making — like her insistence this fall that almost every child in the District return to school in person — as sometimes heavy-handed or misguided.
For D.C. mayoral candidates, equity is an early flashpoint
Unlike 2018, when Bowser ran for her second term with almost no serious opposition, this time she will face at least two challengers who also have experience in local government. Last month, D.C. Council members Robert C. White Jr. (D-At Large) and Trayon White Sr. (D-Ward 8) declared their intentions to run in the Democratic mayoral primary, which in this deep-blue city is tantamount to the general election. By participating in the public financing program Bowser will forgo the large corporate donations that helped fund her last campaign and contributed to criticism that she is too closely linked with developers. Robert White has already met the public financing threshold; Trayon White has not yet filed paperwork for his campaign.
Both challengers have charged that Bowser has not gone far enough to support the city’s neediest residents in a city with significant economic disparities.
Bowser, in turn, says many of her initiatives have been aimed at helping Washingtonians who need the most support. She pointed to the $375 million development of a full-service hospital at St. Elizabeths East in Ward 8, which is set to open in 2024 and bring additional resources east of the Anacostia River, an area that has long faced disparities in access to health care.Over the years, she has directed $1 billion into the Housing Production Trust Fund, though a recent report from the D.C. inspector general noted that the city in recent years did not meet a legal requirement to spend 50 percent of those dollars on households at the lowest incomethreshold.

An Illinois judge had a shocking outburst in court Wednesday, kicking a prosecutor out with minimal explanation as outrage grows over the judge’s decision to reverse his own ruling on a teen accused of rape.
“Mr. Jones, get out,” Adams County Judge Robert Adrian fumed as he ordered Josh Jones of the Adams County State’s Attorney’s Office to leave the courtroom. The Muddy River News, whose journalist was in court, reported that Jones was set to appear in an unrelated case but had apparently “liked” a Facebook post supporting domestic violence survivors in the wake of Adrian’s extraordinary ruling in the rape case .
“I’m not on social media, but my wife is,” Adrian said. “She saw the thumbs up you gave to people attacking me.”
He added: “I can’t be fair with you today. Get out.”
Adrian declined The Daily Beast’s request for comment about the outburst on Wednesday, citing a Supreme Court rule that urges judges to abstain from public comment about pending or impending proceedings.
The move comes as critics slam Adrian for tossing out a sexual assault conviction for 18-year-old Drew Clinton, who allegedly stuffed a pillow in a woman’s face as he raped her at a graduation party in May last year.
Clinton’s accuser, 16-year-old Cameron Vaughan, broke her silence Tuesday days after Adams’ reversal on Jan. 3.
“I woke up at my friend’s place with a pillow over my face so I couldn’t be heard and Drew Clinton inside of me,” Vaughan said, according to WGEM. “I asked him to stop multiple times and he wouldn’t.”
After finally pushing him off, Vaughan said, Clinton jumped up to play video games “as if nothing had happened.”
During a bench trial in October, Clinton was found guilty of one count of criminal sexual assault. But last week, Adrian changed his mind and sensationally declared the teen “not guilty” during a sentencing hearing.
According to a copy of last week’s hearing transcript, the judge insisted that Clinton had a clean record before assaulting the girl, and had already endured “plenty of punishment” by spending 148 days in a county jail.
“By law, the court is supposed to sentence this young man to the Department of Corrections. This court will not do that. That is not just,” Adrian said. “There is no way for what happened in this case that this teenager should go to the Department of Corrections. I will not do that.”
Illinois has a mandatory minimum sentence of four years in prison for criminal sexual assault. But Adrian mused aloud that the nearly five months served was a “just sentence” and, apparently determined to keep Clinton for serving any longer, he switched to a not guilty verdict claiming that prosecutors had “failed to prove their case.”
Adrian parenthetically said adults at the party were to blame for Vaughan’s assault. He said they abandoned their parental duties and suggested that sexual assault is what happens when parents hold “parties for teenagers, and they allow coeds and female people to swim in their underwear in their swimming pool.”
Clinton’s lawyer couldn’t immediately be reached for comment on Thursday.
Vaughan’s dad told the Herald-Whig last week that his daughter “feels like she spoke up for nothing.”
“Now she wishes she wouldn’t have even said anything,” he said.
But critics joined her and her family in slamming Adrian’s comments during the sentencing and his sudden reversal.
On Tuesday, a local domestic abuse organization said that “the judge apparently felt sorry for Clinton and not the victim.”
“He blamed everyone except Clinton,” Quincy Area Network Against Domestic Abuse’s board of directors wrote in a statement on Facebook.
Jones told the Muddy River News that Adrian threw him out of court Wednesday for simply “liking” the post on the group’s Facebook page. It also featured the group’s logo alongside text that read: “Hold rapists accountable.”
The group has since obtained thousands of signatures on a Change.org petition calling for charges to be filed against Adrian for “abuse of judicial discretion and power.”
The group said Adrian’s ruling was an “irreconcilable deviation from both the spirit and the letter of the law.”
“If he does not have faith and consistency in his own rulings, there is no reason for the public to respect his continuance in the position of power as an authority of the law,” the group wrote.
Jones told Muddy River News that he believed he had taken a “pretty benign position” in supporting victims’ rights.
“We obviously have to and want to support victims in all cases,” he said. “I have not made any comment publicly, privately or otherwise about Judge Adrian and the decision. I’m not going to. That’s not my role.”

Earlier today, the White House pushed the Director of the National Economic Council, Brian Deese, to the podium to defend the administration from the outcomes of their economic policies. Consider this presser the pre-quake tremors.
Mr. Deese begins his presentation by saying giving American workers back their jobs, after shutting down their workplaces and locking out their ability to work at their job, is the equivalent of creating new jobs; the administration is very proud of their magnanimity. Mr. Deese then moves on to the inflation data from today and celebrates a “decrease in the rate of price increases.” Yes, he used those exact words.
Deese then goes on to say [01:59] that despite the claimed 7% inflation, prices at the grocery store are not higher, gas prices have dropped, home heating costs and natural gas costs are lower, and things are going swimmingly. I’m not joking about any of that, just watch the first four minutes:
There was really bad news following the White House celebrating their current economic success. Brian Deese stated the White House intends to use the federal government to get involved in supply chains (distribution), pricing (federal price controls), availability (distribution of products under newly claimed emergency federal authority power via the “pandemic”) and providing relief (protecting urban areas).
What Deese is saying there [4:00 – 09:00] is the worst thing we could ever want to hear when there are massive price increases and simultaneous shortages. The federal government is ‘leaning forward’, and is going to get more involved.
Then at 09:00 of the video, the alarm bells start ringing. Journalists asking Brian Deese what the White House is planning to do to get involved and provide national food security. “The shelves are too empty, and the food is too expensive. What is the White House going to do?”
