I have no idea how prominent the journal is, but I have a decent idea of the prominence of the NIH. Wait a minute,wasn’t the former President of the US just raided for holding onto classified information? But it’s ok to share classified materials with all the left wing nuts at twitter?
• What kind of classified information did the FBI share with twitter?
• Was any of it top secret?
• Do they just make up new laws or rules depending on if the agency likes them?
• Isn’t this a major violation of federal law?
• Are they tracking any terminated twitter employees to see if they took classified info with them? Mudge stated twitter employees shared and took classified and top secrets home and kept them on personal computers.

Robert Crimo Jr. — the father of the alleged Highland Park Parade gunman — was hit with seven counts of reckless conduct in connection to helping his son obtain the gun prosecutors say was used in the July rampage that left seven dead.
Crimo helped his son, Robert “Bobby” Crimo III, secure weapons despite the 21-year-old’s history of mental illness and threats of violence, prosecutors allege.
“Parents and guardians are in the best position to decide whether their teenagers should have a weapon. They are the first line of defense. In this case, the system failed,” Lake County State’s Attorney Eric Rinehart announced Friday, the day after the charges were filed.
“When Robert Crimo Jr sponsored his son, he knew what he knew and he signed the form anyway,” Rinehart said.
Each of the seven counts lodged against Crimo, who turned himself into Highland Park authorities Friday afternoon, represent each victim killed in July 4 parade shooting.
Because he was only 19 when he began collecting firearms, Bobby needed a guardian to sponsor his Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card, which his father signed off for in December 2019, Rinehart said.
Crimo’s attorney said in July that Crimo wasn’t aware of his son’s history before signing off on the card. But Crimo’s brother, Paul, told CNN over the summer that Crimo likely knew about his son’s mental struggles, but “saw no trouble when he sponsored the card.
With his new firearms license, Bobby legally purchased at least five guns, including the Smith & Wesson M&P 15 he’s accused of using to fire more than 80 rounds during the mass shooting.
Just a few months before Crimo sponsored his son’s FOID card, Bobby tried to commit suicide and threatened to “kill everyone” in his home in two separate police-involved incidents, authorities have said.
During the second incident, police recovered 16 knives, a dagger and a sword from Bobby.
“Parents know what is going on with their teenagers. And so he knows what’s going on and it was reckless for him to participate in the FOID process in that way, in this case,” Rinehart said Friday.

The suspected Highland Park mass shooter once tried to commit suicide, then threatened to “kill everyone’’ in his home while hoarding a huge stash of knives months later — yet was still able to legally buy rifles and pistols afterward, officials acknowledged Tuesday.
Authorities revealed that Robert E. “Bobby” Crimo III, 21, had legally purchased at least five firearms — including the AR-15-style rifle he allegedly used in Monday’s massacre — after his two troubling interactions with law enforcement in 2019.
Officials said cops were called to Crimo’s home in April 2019 after receiving a report that he had attempted suicide a week earlier.
Officers spoke to Crimo and his parents, but the matter was handled by mental-health professionals at time, said Lake County Major Crime Task Force spokesman Christopher Covelli at a news conference.
“There was no law-enforcement action to be taken. It was a mental-health issue handled by those professionals,” Covelli said.
A few months later, in September 2019, a concerned family member then reported to cops that Crimo had made deadly threats against his relatives, Covelli said.
“A family member reported that Crimo said he was going to kill everyone and Crimo had a collection of knives,” Covelli said. “The police responded to his residence. The police removed 16 knives, a dagger and a sword from Crimo’s home.”
There was no probable cause to arrest Crimo at the time because none of his relatives signed complaints regarding the incident, according to Covelli.
Crimo’s two prior brushes with law enforcement were revealed a day after he allegedly shot dead seven people and injured more than 40 others at the Fourth of July parade in the wealthy Chicago suburb.
Covelli said the suspect’s confiscated stash of the firearms were purchased by him in 2020 and 2021 — after the 2019 incident in which his knives were seized.
Cops had immediately notified Illinois State Police in the wake of the knife incident, but authorities said Crimo didn’t have any guns at the time, thus no firearm-owner’s identification card that could have been revoked or reviewed.
But when Crimo applied for a firearm-owner’s identification card three months after the weapons were taken away, his father sponsored his application because he was under 21, the state police said in a statement, according to the Chicago Tribune.
“The subject was under 21 and the application was sponsored by the subject’s father. Therefore, at the time of FOID application review in January of 2020, there was insufficient basis to establish a clear and present danger and deny the FOID application,” the statement said.
An attorney for Crimo’s parents, Steven Greenberg, said dad Bob Crimo Jr. did not know about the threats or seized knives because the alleged shooter was living with his mother at the time.
Greenberg said Crimo’s parents did not monitor his online activities or know about the disturbing images and videos he posted online.
“There weren’t really any warning signs that the family saw. They don’t know of any reason why he would have done this,” he told the Chicago Tribune. “These are very loving, caring and responsible parents, and if they had had concerns they would have expressed them.”
“Imagine waking up in the morning knowing that there’s a real good chance that your son that you’ve raised, that you loved, that you nurtured through life, may spend the rest of his life in prison,” Greenberg also told the newspaper. “Imagine you wake up and you have a realization that this person that has taken so much of your life to raise them has done something like this. I think they’re in shock.”
Illinois has a “red-flag” law — the Firearms Restraining Order Act enacted in 2019 — which allows family members to apply for a court order so that authorities can confiscate weapons from those deemed to be dangerous.
But despite the law being in place for two years, officials said it is rarely utilized.
Illinois State Rep. Denyse Wang Stoneback sponsored legislation just last month to try and help educate residents on how they can use it.

NBC reportedly suspends Ben Collins for mocking Elon Musk on Twitter
NBC News has indefinitely barred tech reporter Ben Collins from covering Elon Musk and Twitter for repeatedly mocking the mogul on the social media app, it was reported on Friday.
Collins was told earlier this month by higher-ups at 30 Rock that his tweets blasting Musk were not editorially appropriate, according to the news site Semafor.
Collins has been yanked off the air from NBC and MSNBC but remains on staff. He has been actively tweeting and retweeting the latest developments related to Musk’s controversial decision to ban the accounts of several left-leaning journalists who were critical of his management of the social media app.
When reached by The Post, an NBC News spokesperson said: “We don’t comment on personnel matters.”
A source close to the situation told The Post that Collins, who has more than 380,000 Twitter followers, was repeatedly warned by management at NBC News over opinionated tweets about Musk.
The source said Collins was reminded of the company’s journalistic guidelines that bar reporters from expressing their personal views on topics they are assigned to cover.
While Collins is sidelined, he will not be permitted to report on Twitter or Musk across NBC platforms including the over-the-air network, cable news outlet MSNBC, and NBC News’ online site and social media handles, the source told The Post.
There is no timeline for the suspension to end, the insider explained.
Collins’ benching comes as Musk suspended a half-dozen journalists for violating Twitter safety rules by linking to a handle that tracked the mogul’s private jet flights.
Jack Sweeney, the Florida-based college sophomore who operated the Twitter handle, slammed Musk for suspending him as well as his flight-tracking accounts that monitored the private jets of Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates and others.
Musk threatened to sue Sweeney after implying that his @Elonjet handle helped a stalker locate his personal vehicle and tail it on a Los Angeles highway.
The mogul posted a video to his Twitter account showing the alleged stalker behind the wheel of a white Hyundai. Musk claimed that the man jumped on the hood of his car, which was carrying his young son at the time.

Poland's police chief Jaroslaw Szymczyk was hospitalized after a "gift" package that he received exploded, according to international reports, after a recent string of similar exploding mail and package incidents across Europe believed related to the war in Ukraine.
On Thursday Poland's Interior Ministry confirmed, "Yesterday at 7:50 a.m., an explosion occurred in a room adjacent to the office of the Police Chief." It's said that Szymczyk only sustained minor injuries. "During the Police Chief's working visit to Ukraine on December 11-12 this year, where he met with the heads of the Ukrainian Police and Emergency Situations Service, he received some gifts, one of which exploded," the statement detailed.

But that's precisely what's different and more bizarre about this case, compared to the anonymous threatening packages and in some cases mail bombs which have been sent to embassies and consulates in Europe over the past month which authorities have been scrambling to track down: the exploding "gift" actually came from one of the heads of the Ukrainian services, according to the Polish government.
"As a result of the explosion, the Commander suffered minor injuries and has been in the hospital for observation since yesterday," the ministry followed with.
Initially Polish investigators didn't reveal precisely what the gift was, leaving open the question of whether the Ukrainian side had intentionally given him an 'exploding gift'.
However, follow-up reports in Polish media said that it was a grenade launcher, thus it appears to have been an accident based on faulty or volatile munitions - or else Polish police may have been handling the weapon improperly indoors. Polish outlet Wyborcza reported [machine translation]:
According to unofficial reports, the cause of the explosion was the launch of a grenade launcher, which was kept in the "secret room" mentioned by the spokesman. There is no certainty as to the cause of the accident, but according to information from one of the people who had access to the scene, the police officers sitting in the room were playing with the grenade launcher.
But that's just one likely explanation of the incident. Speculation has abounded given how vague all of the initial Polish Interior Ministry statements were.

There was reportedly significant damage to the ceiling and floor of the room where the explosion occurred. What continues to make the circumstances strange, however, is that Polish authorities are still demanding the Ukrainian side to "provide relevant explanations" over the 'gift' and why it exploded.

The city of Denver declared a state of emergency on Thursday in order to stave off a local humanitarian crisis amid an influx of illegal aliens from the southern border, mainly from El Paso, Texas.
Mayor Michael Hancock, a Democrat, issued the declaration as several hundred illegal aliens, mostly from Central and South America, have arrived in the state in just the past few days alone.
“Let me be frank: This influx of migrants, the unanticipated nature of their arrival, and our current space and staffing challenges have put an immense strain on city resources to the level where they’re on the verge of reaching a breaking point at this time,” Hancock said at a news conference on Thursday.
“What I don’t want to see is a local humanitarian crisis of unsheltered migrants on our hands because of a lack of resources,” the mayor added.
According to Hancock’s office, more than 900 aliens have arrived in Denver over the past several months, including more than 600 people since Dec. 2.
Another 247 aliens have arrived since Monday alone, while 75 turned up at a local homeless shelter overnight on Thursday evening, according to his office.

IMHO, This statement is probably the most damning statement the government said. Why the long silence when asked the question above? Maybe if they paid attention to down ballot races they would have caught Swallowell in the act of conspiring with a Chinese spy, and would never have been elected to congress.
From a security standpoint, agencies not tracking all races makes it look likethey were never tracking foreign interference or threats to even the presidential race, but just harassing deplorables.
