The Clock Explained:

Q’s clock or The Clock is a figure of speech used to highlight the significance of the amount of time between a Q post and a President Trump (POTUS) tweet or retweet, or between two POTUS tweets or retweets, called a delta. Markers can be a letter, word, phrase, person, place, or number usually in bold brackets which are used to bring attention to what is being marked. The number markers that are explicitly referring to deltas are known as "delta markers" (in quotes here because Q has not used that term, but anons use it as a way to distinguish regular number markers from number markers used in the context of deltas). Q confirms that there are number markers used to note the specific deltas, and that deltas are important, on December 23rd, 2017.

Q first used three deltas to familiarize anons with looking for the time between a Q post and a POTUS tweet or retweet. The first three deltas were [15] minutes, [10] minutes, and [5] minutes in that order. This graphic (the simple stopwatch graphic) is just a way to visualize The Clock as a stopwatch which notes deltas, and is seen in posts about deltas that Q replied to. Q then confirms the minute deltas are between minute timestamps (for now), that a [10] minute delta occurred, and delta markers. Q confirms that delta markers are used differently from other markers. While the [#2] marker, introduced in Q post #247, refers to Andrew McCabe because he was the second in command at the FBI, in the context of deltas, [5] refers to a [5] minute delta and not the number five. After the [5] minute delta in the [15]-[10]-[5] minute delta sequence, anons now know to "use The Clock" by noting the delta between a Q post and a POTUS tweet or retweet (and later between two POTUS tweets or retweets) and make a side by side graphic with the post and tweet in the same time zone. Q also confirms minute deltas are between minute timestamps (for now), that a [5] minute delta occurred, and delta markers; and foreshadows to a countdown using delta markers.

On January 6th, 2018, Q mentions a clock for the first time relating to deltas besides in post #370 which referred to a clock for the "10 days of darkness" and not The Clock. The "markers" Q is referring with The Clock are the delta markers revealed so far [15], [10], and [5]. Q also confirms through a reply that the marker [P_Pers] means "POTUS Personal", or President Trump's personal device.

On January 7th, 2018, Q introduces deltas between two POTUS tweets or retweets, the [1] minute delta, and the [0] minute delta, then defines The Clock and its significance, importance, and use through an example in real time. Q starts the sequence early on January 7th, 2018 by misspelling "when" as "win". Q confirms the [15] minute delta between POTUS tweets and implies anons have a "lock" on the [15]-[10]-[5] minute deltas. Q points out POTUS quoted Michael Goodwin, referring back to Q’s misspelling. POTUS also misspelled "consequential" as "consensual". Q then introduces the [1] minute delta. After POTUS corrects the misspelling of "consensual" with "consequential", therefore adding a Q with a [1] minute delta, Q confirms the [1] minute delta, reviews what happened in this real time example, and introduces the [0] minute delta. Q then defines The Clock, or deltas between Q and POTUS or between POTUS and himself, as an irreplaceable tool to establish communication.

Since this milestone real time example that defined The Clock, Q has executed over 30 [0] minute deltas (where Q posts seconds before POTUS tweets or retweets). In post #2779, Q makes clear that seconds matter for deltas now after establishing the idea of The Clock and deltas. After 8chan was shut down and Q needed to establish a new tripcode on 8kun, The Clock was used to verify Q was indeed Q; in addition to making a new private board with Q’s old tripcode before needing the new tripcode and posting the watch, pen, and notebook as a picture proof. Q executed two [0] minute deltas to verify the new tripcode on the new private board.

On November 25th, 2019, Q creates a new personal board where only Q can post. After posting in that new board then creating the new tripcode, Q posts using the new tripcode while executing a [0] minute delta with a POTUS tweet. Q then posts again confirming the [0] minute delta, and calling for another [0] minute delta by posting [-1], or less than a minute delta. Q executes the second [0] minute delta (impressively just a 7 second delta) when posting the side by side of the first [0] minute delta.

Q hinted in post #2948 that an exact [0:00:00] minute delta is the eventual goal, yet explains in post #2701, #2702 and #2703 that due to lag "Maybe one day we’ll hit 0:00:00". Q has added other deltas including a [17] minute delta, a [30] day delta, and a [1 year] delta (the non-minute deltas are usually between a Q post and an event). Similar to the "consensual" to "consequential" correction example, POTUS tweeted a seemingly random "q" then corrected it by deleting it using a [17] minute delta. Other examples of The Clock and deltas can be found by reading crumbs.

The Clock is a figure of speech or metaphor but its implications are real.

Q and POTUS "use" The Clock, or deltas between Q and POTUS or between POTUS and himself, to establish communication, verify legitimacy, and shout out to the anons who spread Q’s information.

How to "use" The Clock:

- When Q posts or POTUS tweets, check the timestamp

- If Trump tweets after Q posts or Trump tweets again, check the delta in minutes or seconds for a [0] minute delta

- If there is a significant delta marker used ([0], [1], [5], [10], [15], [17], etc), make a side by side graphic showing the delta

- Check for any communications there might be hidden within it

- Post it, discuss it, and spread it!

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced charges against 15 broker-dealers and one affiliated investment adviser for widespread and longstanding failures by the firms and their employees to maintain and preserve electronic communications. The firms admitted the facts set forth in their respective SEC orders, acknowledged that their conduct violated recordkeeping provisions of the federal securities laws, agreed to pay combined penalties of more than $1.1 billion, and have begun implementing improvements to their compliance policies and procedures to settle these matters.

The following eight firms (and five affiliates) have agreed to pay penalties of $125 million each:

Barclays Capital Inc.;

BofA Securities Inc. together with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc.;

Citigroup Global Markets Inc.;

Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC;

Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. together with DWS Distributors Inc. and DWS Investment Management Americas, Inc.;

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC;

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC together with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC; and

UBS Securities LLC together with UBS Financial Services Inc.

The following two firms have agreed to pay penalties of $50 million each:

Nomura Securities International, Inc.

Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. has agreed to pay a $10 million penalty.

“Finance, ultimately, depends on trust. By failing to honor their recordkeeping and books-and-records obligations, the market participants we have charged today have failed to maintain that trust,” said SEC Chair Gary Gensler. “Since the 1930s, such recordkeeping has been vital to preserve market integrity. As technology changes, it’s even more important that registrants appropriately conduct their communications about business matters within only official channels, and they must maintain and preserve those communications. As part of our examinations and enforcement work, we will continue to ensure compliance with these laws.”

The SEC staff’s investigation uncovered pervasive off-channel communications. The firms cooperated with the investigation by gathering communications from the personal devices of a sample of the firms’ personnel. These personnel included senior and junior investment bankers and debt and equity traders.

From January 2018 through September 2021, the firms’ employees routinely communicated about business matters using text messaging applications on their personal devices. The firms did not maintain or preserve the substantial majority of these off-channel communications, in violation of the federal securities laws. By failing to maintain and preserve required records relating to their businesses, the firms’ actions likely deprived the Commission of these off-channel communications in various Commission investigations. The failings occurred across all of the 16 firms and involved employees at multiple levels of authority, including supervisors and senior executives.

However, while that hurricane was “powerful as a category four,” DeSantis explained that it was smaller and most of the damage was caused by wind. With this storm, Hurricane Ian, historic storm surge and flooding are the biggest concerns.

According to the NHC’s latest update at the time of this writing, Hurricane Ian has maximum sustained winds of 120 mph. Much of the state is now under a Tropical Storm Watch, Tropical Storm Warning, Hurricane Watch, and Hurricane Warning.

Journalist Will Saletan Claims CitiBank Is Locking Some Customers Out Of Accounts Forever

Bulwark writer Will Saletan accused CitiBank of permanently locking some customers out of their bank accounts, even if they show up in person with an ID.

“Several weeks ago, I learned that [Citibank] locks some customers out of their accounts and refuses to release their money even if they show up with ID,” Saletan tweeted Monday. “This week, [Citi] sent an email explicitly affirming its right to do this ‘without cause.'”

“Your money is not safe at [Citi],” he added in the tweet.

Citi will only return funds they “deem” as “belonging” to the customer, Saletan alleged in a subsequent tweet. “[Citi] reserves the right *never* to return the money,” according to Saletan.

It all started with videos posted by video clips circulated in vernacular blog sites and other sites alleging that those who failed to perform their tasks as ordered by scam syndicate supervisors or enforcers risked having their body cut open and their vital organs harvested for sale in the black market through the dark web.

It followed by claims of ‘thousands’ of alleged human rights trafficking cases, originating with foreign nationals being lured to work in Cambodia and at least two other South East Asian nations with promises of high paying jobs with salaries to be paid out in US dollars, an automatic lure given the poor performance of local currencies in these economies and Cambodia being a dollarised economy.

Police officials from several Asean countries told Khmer Times on conditions of anonymity that the allegations had caused great damage to Cambodia and to a smaller extent to two other nations though alleged human trafficking cases for work in illegal online gambling operations and other scam operations are taking place in at least half of the 10 ASEAN member nations.

“Human trafficking – the sale of workers by one syndicate to another after the workers had willingly arrived in Cambodia and other nations were highlighted by many nations and media. However, Cambodia has been singled out unfairly and sustained police action to nab scam operations members and operators which has to date, netted hundreds of suspects, drew scant response when compared to the allegations.

“Our investigations have revealed that the alleged human parts trafficking were merely threats used by the scam operators to keep workers in line and that no actual body parts were harvested and neither has anyone come forward to provide any evidence of this along with blood harvesting, a single allegation which has also been debunked,” a Cambodian police task force official said.

He added that the key was still back home in the countries where the allegedly trafficked victims were from as nabbing the recruiters would go a long way in helping to minimize and eliminate these scam syndicates which prey on the vulnerable.

“Malaysian Ambassador Datuk Eldeen Husaini’s recent remarks that a joint ASEAN task force may be the answer as information and intelligence sharing, coordinating and analysing can play a big part in smashing these syndicates,” he added.

In July, the United States dropped Cambodia to Tier 3, the lowest rank on its human trafficking index, after failing to deal with the issue effectively.

US praised for Nord Stream explosion

“Thank you USA,” said Poland’s former defense and foreign minister Sikorski

While the US, Russia and most European governments reserved judgment as to who might be behind Monday’s explosion that damaged both Nord Stream pipelines and cut off Germany from Russian gas, former Polish minister and member of the European Parliament Radoslaw Sikorski had no such qualms.

“Thank you USA,” Sikorski tweeted on Tuesday, alongside a photo of the massive gas leak in the waters of the Baltic Sea. Both pipelines were severely damaged off the coast of the Danish island of Bornholm, in what everyone is now calling a deliberate act.

Sikorski later tweeted, in Polish, that damage to Nord Stream means thatRussia will have to “talk to the countries controlling the Brotherhood and Yamal gas pipelines, Ukraine and Poland” if it wishes to continue delivering gas to Europe. “Good work,” he concluded.

Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 lost all pressure on Monday, after what the Swedish and Danish authorities later said were a series of undersea explosions. The first pipeline was operating at reduced capacity after what Russia said were technical difficulties, while the second was fully pressurized but not operational, due to German refusal to certify it.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wondered if Sikorsky’s tweet amounted to an “official statement that this was a terrorist attack.” Meanwhile, Moscow’s deputy ambassador to the UN, Dmitry Polyanskiy, thanked Sikorski for “making it crystal clear who stands behind this terrorist-style targeting of civilian infrastructure!”

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki didn’t go quite as far as Sikorski, but chose to describe the Nord Stream incident as “an act of sabotage, related to the next step of escalation of the situation in Ukraine.”

Not just any MEP, Sikorski is a former UK citizen and a fellow at numerous US and NATO think-tanks, as well as Poland’s former defense (2005-2007) and foreign minister (2007-2014). In October 2014, he was caught fabricating a claim about Russian President Vladimir Putin wanting to partition Ukraine with Warsaw, and was forced to recant.

Sikorski called Russia a “serial rapist” in January 2022 and in June told Ukraine’s Espreso TV that NATO had the right to give Kiev nuclear weapons. He is married to American pundit Anne Applebaum, who is also an outspoken foe of Russia.

While Sikorski thanked the US for the Nord Stream sabotage, Kiev blamed Russia. President Vladimir Zelensky’s adviser Mikhail Podoliak called it a “a terrorist attack planned by Russia and an act of aggression towards EU,” arguing the best response would be sending German tanks to the Ukrainian army.

As many as 22 lawmakers have called upon Attorney General Merrick Garland to provide an explanation as to why the FBI allegedly sent 25-30 fully-armed agents to arrest Catholic pro-life activist Mark Houck as his “screaming” children watched in horror.

Released Tuesday, the open letter spearheaded by Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) said that the FBI should have an “extraordinary reason” for arresting Houck the way they allegedly did. The letter said:

There is much to learn about the extent of the FBI’s operations in this case, apparently since state-level charges were apparently dismissed by local authorities in Philadelphia. Surely, the FBI must have an extraordinary reason for showing up at the home of an American family, allegedly with roughly 25 heavily armed federal agents, and arresting a father in front of his seven children.

“At the moment, it appears to be an extraordinary overreach for political ends,” the letter added.

The letter demanded that Merrick Garland respond by September 30.

Republican Congressman Chip Roy of Texas told Fox News that the raid against Houck is further indicative of how politicized the FBI and the Department of Justice have become under President Joe Biden.

Mark Houck, the founder and president of The King’s Men — a group dedicated to helping men become better husbands, fathers, and leaders — was arrested at his rural Pennsylvania home last Friday for allegedly violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act during his regular sidewalk counseling outside of an abortion clinic in 2021. Speaking with LifeSiteNews, Houck’s wife, Ryan-Marie, said that around 25 to 30 fully armored FBI agents stormed their property early Friday morning, aiming their rifles as the children screamed in horror.

The FBI denied sending a SWAT team to Houck’s residence while not denying that 25 to 30 fully-armed FBI agents were on site to apprehend Houck that morning. The FBI said:

There are inaccurate claims being made regarding the arrest of Mark Houck. No SWAT Team or SWAT operators were involved. FBI agents knocked on Mr. Houck’s front door, identified themselves as FBI agents and asked him to exit the residence. He did so and was taken into custody without incident pursuant to an indictment.

The FACE Act violation allegedly stems from an incident in which Houck shoved a 72-year-old abortion activist escorting women into a Planned Parenthood clinic. Houck’s family maintains that the man had been harassing his 12-year-old son.

Philadelphia’s Democrat Mayor Signs Gun Ban That Applies to Concealed Carry Permit Holders

Democrat Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney signed an executive order Tuesday banning the carry of guns — even by concealed permit holders — in city parks and recreational centers.

FOX News reported the signing of the executive order, quoting Kenney as saying, “This gives them some protection, some peace of mind, some ability to call the authorities when some knucklehead decides they want to bring a gun into a rec center, and they see it, that’s part of what this is about.”

The Philadelphia Inquirer noted, “The order bans guns and other deadly weapons at rec center buildings, athletic courts, fields, playgrounds, and pools. Signs about the prohibition will be displayed at the facilities, the order says, and District Attorney Larry Krasner said his office could charge those in violation with trespassing — even if they are otherwise legally permitted to carry the gun in the city.”

FOX New quoted Krasner commented on the order, saying, “Even if you have a permit to carry, and you go on those premises, then you’ve got a problem with me.”

Kenney’s executive order is expected to face swift legal challenges due to Philadelphia’s preemption statute, which bars cities and local municipalities from enacting any gun controls more strict than those that exist at the state level.

The Inquirer pointed out, “Courts have cited preemption while consistently striking down attempts by cities, including Philadelphia, to ban assault-style weapons, limit handgun purchases, and prohibit guns in parks and at recreation centers.”

The preemption statutes say, “No county, municipality, or township may in any manner regulate the lawful ownership, possession, transfer, or transportation of firearms, ammunition, or ammunition components when carried or transported for purposes not prohibited by the laws of this commonwealth.”

In July 2022, Breitbart News observed Mayor Jim Kenney’s (D) suggestion that only the police should have guns.

FOX News reported that Kenney spoke to reporters after two Philadelphia police officers were wounded by gunshots on July 4.

Kenney reflected on July 4, saying, “It was a chilled back day, beautiful weather. But we live in America where we have the Second Amendment and we have the Supreme Court of the United States telling everybody they can carry a gun wherever they want.”

He noted, “I was in Canada two weeks ago and never thought about a gun. The only people I knew who had guns in Canada were police officers.”

Kenney added, “That’s the way it should be here.”

Zelensky condemns referendums on joining Russia in Ukraine’s breakaway southeast

The Ukrainian president urged “every country in the world” to face off Moscow

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky firmly rejected the referendums staged in Moscow-held parts of Ukraine’s Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions, as well as in the Lugansk (LPR) and Donetsk (DPR) People’s Republics, on joining Russia.

Speaking during a UN Security Council meeting via a video link on Tuesday, he urged the countries of the world to reject the results. Zelensky also reiterated his threat to stop any contact with Russia should it recognize the results of the referendums.

“Russia’s recognition of these pseudo-referendums as normal, the implementation of the so-called ‘Crimean scenario’ now, another attempt to annex Ukrainian territory, will mean that we will have nothing to talk about with Russian President [Vladimir Putin],” Zelensky stated, urging “every country in the world” to send a strong message against Russia’s actions.

The referendums ran across the Russian-controlled territories of Ukraine’s southeast and the Donbass republics over the past five days. The idea of joining Russia has been overwhelmingly supported by the local population, according to official results announced late on Tuesday.

In Donetsk, some 99.23% of voters supported the idea of reunification with Russia, with Lugansk showing a slightly lower figure of 98.42%. Zaporozhye Region highly supported the idea of splitting from Ukraine and joining Russia, with some 93% of voters backing it. Some 87% have supported this idea in Kherson Region as well.

Tulsa District Attorney Stabbed Multiple Times at His Home by Daughter

Tulsa District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler was stabbed multiple times at his home by his adult daughter on Tuesday.

According to reports, the elder Kunzweiler had an altercation with his daughter, Jennifer Kunzweiler before she stabbed him.

The daughter was reportedly suffering from mental problems and cut herself as well.

Both Steve Kunzweiler and his daughter were taken to a local hospital where both are expected to fully recover.

The Tulsa PD arrested Jennifer and said they will be pressing charges.

Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler was allegedly stabbed at his home on Tuesday, September 27.

The stabbing occurred in south Tulsa near East 121st Street and South Yale Avenue.

Tulsa police say they received a 911 call around 3 p.m. from Kunzweiler himself.

Kunzweiler said he had been in an altercation with his daughter when she stabbed him multiple times. He was immediately taken to the hospital.

The DA’s Office say Kunzweiler was awake and talking on the way to the hospital and is expected to recover from his injuries.

Kunzweiler released the following statement regarding the incident:

Unfortunately today, I found myself in a situation that I hoped would never happen. Fortunately, my injuries are such that I was able to go home. Thank you to everyone who expressed concern for me and my family. I am most appreciative of the response from the Tulsa Fire Department, EMSA, the Tulsa Police Department and the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office. I am also very grateful for the professionalism and care of the staff and doctors at Saint Francis Hospital in treating me for my injuries.

The DA’s Office also say that the Kunzweiler family would appreciate prayers and privacy as they go through this struggle.

EU Chief Calls Nord Stream Attack "Sabotage", Warns Of "Strongest Possible Response"

European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen confirmed the Nord Stream pipeline system leaks were caused by "sabotage," and warned of the "strongest possible response" should active European energy infrastructure be attacked.

Earlier, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen described the three separate leaks on NS1 and NS2 as "deliberate acts," adding: "It’s hard to imagine that it’s accidental."

On Monday, Swedish seismologists reported the detection of underwater explosions - shortly after which large patches of roiling gas could be seen on the surface in the same area.

As rumors swirl over who is responsible for the incident, one message it sent was clear - vital systems are vulnerable to attack.

"The most important message that somebody wants to send, is what one is capable of doing with an offline pipeline can also be done with active pipelines, or undersea cables, or other infrastructure," said Julian Pawlak, a researcher at the German Institute for Defense and Strategic Studies, in a statement to the NY Times.

In response, Denmark and Norway announced increased security around their energy infrastructure, and Norway, now Europe’s most important producer of gas and oil, called for “increased vigilance by all operators and vessel owners.” In a statement, Norway’s energy minister, Terje Aasland, cited “reports of increased drone activity” around its coast, and said that much of what he had learned of the Nord Stream incidents “indicates acts of sabotage.” -NY Times

And while Poland's former Defense Minister appeared to thank the United States for the attack (a perfectly good explanation for which we're sure is will be offered), Poland's PM, Mateusz Morawiecki, laid the blame on Russia for targeting the pipelines - suggesting that the attack was an attempt to escalate the Ukraine conflict.

"We do not know the details of what happened yet, but we can clearly see that it is an act of sabotage," said Morawiecki, adding "An act that probably marks the next stage in the escalation of this situation in Ukraine."

White House officials are quietly preparing for the potential departure of Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen after the midterms, the first and most consequential exit in what could be a broad reorganization of President Biden's economic team, according to people familiar with the matter.

Why it matters: While her potential departure would give Biden an opportunity to respond to public concern over his handling of the economy, it would also create an immediate political headache: finding a successor who can be confirmed by the Senate.

The process is in the early stages and a decision on Yellen, or any Cabinet replacement, has not been made. Multiple sources stressed the outcome of November's election, including who controls the Senate, will factor into whether she stays.

Yellen will also have some say in her fate, and with the world's economy teetering, there could be a convincing case for her to stay.

The intrigue: In addition to Yellen, officials are also considering the possibility that Brian Deese, the director of the National Economic Council, will leave early next year.

Deese’s departure would present an opportunity for Gene Sperling, who is currently coordinating the implementation of the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, to serve an unprecedented third term as NEC director after holding that post in the Clinton and Obama administrations.

Cecilia Rouse, the chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, is also expected to return to her academic post in the spring of 2023, opening up another Cabinet-level economic position.

Between the lines: Yellen, an economist by trade and at heart, has been reluctant to make overly political arguments when they violate her core academic beliefs.

The former Fed and CEA chair has disagreed with the White House on several high-profile issues, including the White House faulting corporations for increasing inflation and — most recently — Biden’s decision to forgive some student debt.

She has also made several statements that White House officials have privately viewed as blunders. Yellen publicly admitted this summer she was wrong on inflation, and last year said it would be a "plus" if the Fed raised interest rates.

What they're saying: "While we are prudently planning for potential transitions post-midterm, neither Secretary Yellen or Brian Deese are part of those plans," White House enior adviser Anita Dunn said in a statement.

Yellen has no plans to leave, said Lily Adams, a Treasury spokesperson.

"Chair Rouse will return to Princeton University at the end of her two-year public service leave, likely early spring 2023," according to a White House official.

Driving the news: White House officials are prepping for post-midterm turnover and are conducting a talent search for both senior staff and Cabinet positions, Axios has reported.

NATO convenes special supply meeting

US-led bloc pushes military industry to replenish stocks depleted in Ukraine

Heads of NATO weapons industries were summoned to Brussels on Tuesday by Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to discuss ways to replenish stockpiles of weapons and ammunition the US-led bloc has sent to Ukraine. Stoltenberg urged the military-industrial complex to speed up production amid reports the West was running short on key supplies.

The meeting of the Conference of National Armaments Directors (CNAD) focused on the bloc’s “capabilities and munitions stockpiles” in light of the conflict in Ukraine, according to NATO.

“Enhancing NATO stockpiles will ensure we can keep supporting Ukraine,” Stoltenberg said. “We need to keep working together as NATO Allies and with industry to replenish our munitions stocks and provide Ukraine with the support it needs, for as long as Ukraine needs it.”

NATO has sent massive amounts of weapons, ammunition, vehicles and other equipment to Kiev since February, with most of the supplies coming from the US. By the Pentagon’s own admission, the US has sent more than $14.5 billion worth of “security assistance” to Ukraine since the escalation of hostilities, on top of over $17.2 billion since the US-backed coup in 2014.

TheUS is currently preparing another weapons package for Kiev, valued at $1.1 billion, Reuters reported on Tuesday citing anonymous US officials.

All of these deliveries have put a dent into the US weapons and ammunition stockpile, however. Earlier this month, the Pentagon announced a $311 million contract for some 1,800 Javelin anti-tank missiles. Another $624 million was allocated in May for replenishing the stock of Stinger anti-aircraft missiles.

Stockpiles of 155mm artillery ammunition were “uncomfortably low,” the Wall Street Journal reported at the end of August. Delivering the orders currently takes anywhere from 13 to 18 months, the Journal reported. Meanwhile, the Telegraph reported that the British military industry could take up to two years to restart production on older weapons, while designing and delivering a new missile may take as long as ten.

The US think-tank Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) has pointed outthat the American military is “not structured to fight or support an extended conflict,” while the defense defense industry is “sized for peacetime production rates” and expanding capabilities would take years.

Ukraine threatens Russian reservists

President Vladimir Zelensky’s chief of staff has told mobilized troops to surrender or be killed

The chief of staff of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has told Russian troops to surrender if they want “a chance to live,”claiming they will otherwise be killed.

Andrey Yermak made the threat on Tuesday to reservists who are entering military service under the partial mobilization announced last week in Russia.

“Mobilized Russians who surrender will have a chance to keep their lives. The rest of them will not,” he tweeted.

Other senior Ukrainian officials have made similar statements since Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the military draft last Wednesday. Zelensky himself urged mobilized Russians to “protest, fight, run or surrender,”claiming that those were the options for them “to survive.”

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Wednesday that the mobilization would see some 300,000 reservists called to arms. He explained that additional troops were required to control Russian-held areas and the 1,000km contact line with Ukrainian forces.

Russia has amended its criminal code, making voluntary surrender during wartime a serious felony. People found guilty of the crime face up to ten years in prison under the new legislation, which was signed into law by President Putin last Saturday.

The largest exchange of POWs between Russia and Ukraine, which was mediated by Türkiye, took place last week. Among the Ukrainian troops that Moscow agreed to set free were dozens of members of the neo-Nazi Azov regiment.

Crimea head discloses future of ‘special military operation’

Donbass republics joining Russia will mark a “point of no return,” said Sergey Aksyonov

Russia will soon transition from conducting a “special military operation” to a de-facto anti-terrorist operation to defend its own territory, the head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, said on Monday. Anticipating the results of the vote in Donbass republics Kherson and Zaporozhye, Aksyonov said this would lead to greater clarity and determination.

The People’s Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, as well as the two Ukrainian regions mostly under control of Russian and allied forces, have been voting since Friday on the question of joining Russia – much as Crimea did in March 2014, following the US-backed coup in Kiev.

Aksyonov noted that theCrimean vote was “held according to all international laws without a single flaw, but practically no one recognized it,” adding that this was no time to be distracted with questions of “legal purity.”

“Soon we will pass a certain point of no return. A new status for the liberated territories will put an end to uncertainty,” the Crimean governor said. “They will become full-fledged subjects of the Russian Federation, and we will de facto stop conducting a special military operation andstart a counter-terrorist operation on our own territory.”

The government in Kiev maintains that the vote will change nothing, and President Vladimir Zelensky has vowed to continue the war until the “liberation” of all “occupied territories” – including Crimea – with Western help.

US President Joe Biden on Friday denounced the vote as a “sham” referendum intended to “annex parts of Ukraine by force in flagrant violation of international law,” and said Washington and its allies would impose “severe economic costs” on Russia in retaliation.

Aksyonov was elected prime minister of Crimea in late February 2014, just days after Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich was violently overthrown by US-backed militants. He oversaw the referendum in which the vast majority of Crimeans voted to join Russia. Aksyonov’s own son was among the 300,000 Russian reservists called up last week by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Children and older teenagers have been removed from the jungle compound of a Jewish sect in Mexico following a raid by police, the BBC has learned.

Two members of Lev Tahor were arrested on suspicion of human trafficking and serious sexual offences, including rape, Israel's foreign ministry said.

A three-year-old child removed from the compound has been flown to Israel.

Lev Tahor (Hebrew for Pure Heart) is known for extremist practices and imposing a strict regime on members.

It advocates child marriage, inflicts harsh punishments for even minor transgressions and requires women and girls as young as three years old to completely cover up with robes.

The stricture has earned the group the nickname the Jewish Taliban, because of seeming similarities with the dress code enforced by the Sunni Muslim extremist group which controls Afghanistan.

Police made their way into the compound 11 miles (17.5km) north of Tapachula in Chiapas state on Friday morning.

They had been instructed by a federal judge to detain several leaders suspected of child abuse and rescue members of the sect, following an investigation by the attorney general's Special Prosecutor for Organised Crime (Femdo).

An Israeli source connected to the operation said the boys and girls were quickly separated from the rest of the group, because of fears their lives could be at risk from members trying to prevent them from being removed.

Twenty-six members were found in the compound, among them Israelis with dual citizenships including Canada, the US and Guatemala, Israel's foreign ministry said.

It said a Canadian and an Israeli citizen were arrested, while two other wanted members reportedly left the compound two days before the raid and are being sought. Five more were detained for allegedly breaking immigration rules.

The remaining members are being housed at a facility of the Mexican Ministry of Welfare pending a decision on what will happen to them, the Israeli foreign ministry said.

The three-year-old son of an Israeli, Yisrael Amir, who had previously left the group, was among those removed from the compound. Mr Amir, who was present during the raid, flew back to Israel with his son on Monday.

'Dangerous cult'

The Mexican police worked alongside a four-man volunteer team from Israel, including former Mossad agents, in planning and carrying out the operation.

The elite police unit which raided the compound "very carefully and without resorting to any violence" included both male and female officers because of the number of women and children in the sect, the Israel source said.

"The Mexican authorities did their duty in the best possible way," the source added.

The operation was set in motion about two years ago, when Mr Amir and other relatives of some of those in the group asked one of the former agents for help.

The team travelled between Israel and Guatemala, where the branch had lived since 2014, carrying out surveillance operations and working with local authorities, law enforcement and a Guatemalan private investigator.

In January, about 40-50 members illegally crossed into Mexico, where they continued to be tracked, settling in the jungle north of Tapachula.

The leadership in Guatemala has been at the centre of a kidnapping case since 2018, when two children who had been taken to New York by their mother who had fled the community were snatched back. They were recovered three weeks later in Mexico.

Nine of the sect's members were charged in connection with the case. Four - including the founder's son and current leader Nachman Helbrans - have been jailed, while one was convicted, but freed because of time already served and another is due to be sentenced in November. Two are awaiting trial and one is in custody in Guatemala.

Lev Tahor was formed in Israel in 1988 by Rabbi Shlomo Helbrans, who later moved to the US. He served two years in prison after being convicted of kidnapping in 1994 and drowned in Mexico in 2017.

Numbering up to about 350 members, Lev Tahor has been forced to move from country to country in recent years after coming under scrutiny from local authorities. It is currently spread between Israel, the US, North Macedonia, Morocco, Mexico and Guatemala. Between 70 and 80 members are still in Guatemala.

While the group is often described as ultra-Orthodox, it follows its own sets of rules and has been declared a "dangerous cult" by an Israeli court.

Its leaders have denied breaking local laws and say the group is being targeted because of its beliefs.

An illegal alien who was serving life in prison for the deadly Las Vegas bombing in 2007 has escaped from the Southern Desert Correctional Center.

Porfirio Duarte-Herrera, 42, was discovered to be missing during the morning head count on Tuesday.

However, Gov. Steve Sisolak said in a statement obtained by the Las Vegas Sun that “his office later learned that upon further investigation by the NDOC the inmate has been missing since early in the weekend.”

“This is unacceptable,” the governor’s statement continued. “This kind of security lapse cannot be permitted and those responsible will be held accountable.”

Duarte-Herrera and his accomplice, Omar Rueda-Denvers, were convicted of first-degree murder in 2009 for the death of Willebaldo Dorantes Antonio. He was sentenced to life in prison.

The bomb was planted in the Luxor parking garage near where Dorantes Antonio had a hot dog stand. The bomb had a motion activated trigger and was placed on Dorantes Antonio’s car in a styrofoam cup.

Prosecutors said that Duarte-Herrera built and exploded the pipe bomb as an act of revenge because the victim was dating his ex-girlfriend.

“Dorantes Antonio’s girlfriend, Caren Chali, was near the explosion but was not hurt, authorities said. Prosecutors said at trial that Chali was Rueda-Denvers’ ex-girlfriend, and he wanted revenge on her and her new boyfriend,” the Sun report explains.

Longtime weatherman and television personality Al Roker revealed Tuesday that he is speaking at a White House climate change event with the hope of influencing the Biden administration’s approach to climate policy.

Roker told NBC’s “Today” that he is currently in Washington, D.C., to speak to the White House’s sustainability and climate change units about the importance of climate policy. Roker said that while the Biden team knows climate change is important, it’s also important for policymakers to get the perspective of people like himself who report on the issue.

Notably, Roker is a weatherman, not a meteorologist. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the State University of New York at Oswego, which he attained in 1976, and no post-graduate degrees. He first became a weather presenter for a local CBS affiliate in 1974 and was hired by NBC’s national flagship in 1983.

The trip won’t be Roker’s first to the White House. In 2013, Roker revealed that he had previously pooped his pants during a trip to the White House in 2002 after undergoing gastric bypass surgery.

“I think it’s important for everybody to keep having a conversation, a dialogue about what’s happening,” Roker said Tuesday. “These are policymakers, but folks like us have to report on it to folks that are viewers, so it’s a great thing to have a dialogue so that we all know what each one is thinking about, so that we can go forward and hopefully help mitigate what we’re seeing with this climate crisis.

Roker added that he needed to share “what we feel is important that our friends in government need to know about all this.”

The iconic TV host’s other experience includes hosting coverage of the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, hosting Celebrity Family Feud and co-authoring several murder mystery novels.

The special master in the case had ordered the Justice Department to submit a revised list of nonclassified items to Trump’s lawyers as part of his review of the seized documents.

The Justice Department on Monday filed a revised inventory of items seized from former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort last month, in addition to a declaration supporting the accuracy of the new list.

Senior U.S. District Judge Raymond J. Dearie of New York, the court-appointed special master in the case, had ordered the Justice Department to file a declaration of all nonclassified items to Trump's lawyers as part of his review of documents that federal agents seized on Aug. 8.

“In order to ensure that the Detailed Property Inventory was accurate, I and FBI personnel working under my direction conducted an additional review and recount of the Seized Materials in order to make this declaration,” a supervisory special FBI agent who was present for the search wrote in Monday's filing. “That additional review and recount resulted in some minor revisions to the Detailed Property Inventory.”

The few differences mostly concern the quantity of non-classified government documents and Trump’s collection of magazine and newspaper articles. A federal appeals court recently ordered that the classified documents should not be included in the special master’s review.

The updated list adds 55 items to the more than 11,000 government-owned documents and photographs that the Justice Department says were removed from Mar-a-Lago.

The special agent who made the filing suggested that the revisions were attributable to the additional time investigators were allotted to provide the final list; an earlier order for the initial inventory list had required that it "be completed in a single business day.”

Among the changes was a revised entry for the final box taken from the Mar-a-Lago storage room where most of the seized materials were kept shows fewer empty classified folders. While the original inventory list noted two empty folders with “CLASSIFIED” banners in the box, a revised entry removes those folders. A total of 46 empty folders with classified markings are still listed for other boxes.

Other categories including books, gifts and articles of clothing were unchanged.

Trump's legal team will have an opportunity to respond in person to the latest Justice Department filing at a status conference scheduled for next week, but its response in the form of a court filing is due before then, on Friday.

Dearie ordered Trump’s team last week to submit a “declaration or affidavit” to back up the former president's public claims that some of the items removed from Mar-a-Lago had been planted there. His lawyers can also note any items they say were seized but not itemized in the inventory.

MOSCOW, Sept 27 (Reuters) - Kremlin-controlled gas giant Gazprom (GAZP.MM) said on Tuesday it rejected all claims from Ukraine's energy firm Naftogaz in arbitration proceedings over Russian gas transit, and had notified the arbitration court.

It also said that Russia may introduce sanctions against Naftogaz in case it further pursues the arbitration case, meaning Gazprom would be prohibited by the sanctions from paying Ukraine the transit fees.

Naftogaz had initiated a new arbitration proceeding against Gazprom earlier this month, saying the Russian company did not pay for the rendered service of gas transportation through Ukraine. read more

The company had said "funds were not paid by Gazprom, neither on time nor in full" for the gas transit.

Gazprom said on Tuesday that Naftogaz had no "appropriate reasons" to reject its obligations on transit via the Sokhranovka point, a key route for Russian gas exports to Europe.
