Biden DOJ "Actively Considering" Domestic Terrorism Law To Target White Supremacists

On Wednesday night, President Joe Biden told a Congress that "white supremacy is terrorism," after claiming that US intelligence considers it "the most lethal terrorist threat to our homeland today."

Hours earlier, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) set the stage for the new narrative by telling MSNBC's Nicol Wallace that "The predominant part of that domestic threat " is white nationalists, adding "We can’t ignore that because of a political sensitivity that some of the folks are part of the Trump base."

Less than 24 hours later, Bloomberg is reporting that the Biden DOJ is "actively considering" whether to seek a new law which would allow prosecutors to bring specific charges for domestic terrorists who plot and/or carry out attacks, according to a senior department official.

"One of the things we’re looking at is would we need new authorities," said deputy assistant attorney general for the department's national security division, Brad Wiegmann, during a Thursday House hearing.

Weigmann added that while the department has been successful using existing laws to fight domestic terrorism - including bringing charges for offenses involving weapons or explosives violations, hate crimes and arson, there have been more than 430 arrests made in connection with the Jan. 6 assault on the US Capitol "carried out by extremist supporters of then-President Donald Trump" (as Bloomberg puts it).

The FBI has warned that domestic violent extremists pose a heightened threat for carrying out attacks in the U.S. in the near future, with white supremacists being the most lethal threat.

Currently, no U.S. law lets the government designate domestic extremists as terrorists or bring specific charges for domestic terrorism. Ashli Babbitt’s family plans to sue Capitol Police, officer who shot her

Capitol rioter Ashli Babbitt’s family plans to sue the US Capitol Police and the yet-to-be-named officer who fatally shot her during the riot on Jan. 6, according to an attorney representing the family.

Babbitt, draped in then-President Donald Trump’s campaign flag, was shot as she tried to climb through a smashed-out window into the House of Representatives Speaker’s Lobby.

The 35-year-old Californian was a veteran of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. She traveled to DC to participate in a large pro-Trump demonstration branded “Stop the Steal” on the day Joe Biden was to be officially certified as president-elect based on electoral votes.

The officer who killed Babbitt has never been publicly identified and was not charged with a crime after a Justice Department review, but attorney Terry Roberts told Zenger News he knows their name, Newsweek reported.

“What it looks like is this guy shot this lady for no legitimate law enforcement purpose. And you know, they ought to be pretty ashamed of that,” Roberts said.

“In a free country like ours, it’s very strange and odd that they wouldn’t identify the officer, or even provide some details, explaining why he had to kill her. You would probably expect this kind of thing to happen in Russia,” he said.

“If she committed any crime by going through the window and into the Speaker’s Lobby, it would have been trespassing. Some misdemeanor crime. All a rookie cop would have done is arrest her,” Roberts said.

“And he has plenty of other officers there to assist with arrest.”

Roberts told the news service, “You had officers on Ashli’s side of the door in riot gear and holding submachine guns. And on the other side of the door you have another uniformed officer six or eight feet away. Whose life is he saving by shooting her? … She’s not brandishing a weapon. She’s on the window ledge.”

Roberts said that the family will seek roughly $12 million in damages and plans to serve US Capitol Police within 10 days. He said that he believes the officer will be found personally liable — and not protected by qualified immunity, which shields cops’ personal assets unless they blatantly violate established constitutional rights.

Babbitt was the only person to be shot during hours of fighting with police as thousands of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol to disrupt certification of President Biden’s victory in the Electoral College.

Footage of Babbitt’s shooting shows an officer’s arm and a handgun pointed toward her, but does not show the officer’s face.

President Joe Biden received heavy criticism after describing the January 6 storming of the Capitol as “the worst attack” on democracy since the Civil War.

During his speech to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday, Biden said that he “inherited a nation in crisis,” including “the worst pandemic in a century,” “the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression,” and, most notably, “the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.”

Biden appeared to be making a clear reference to January 6, when supporters of former President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol in protest of Biden’s 2020 presidential election victory.

Though the storming of the Capitol caused several deaths, property damage and also led to looting, social media users condemned Biden for calling it the worst attack on democracy since the Civil War over more serious incidents like the assassination of four presidents, including President John F. Kennedy, and the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Americans also listed other major incidents, including the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour, President Richard Nixon’s Watergate scandal, the NSA’s mass surveillance on US citizens, the Red Scare, 2020 Summer arson attacks on government buildings by left-wing rioters, and the June 2017 mass shooting at a congressional baseball game by liberal activist James Hodgkinson – which left House Majority Whip Steve Scalise seriously wounded.

State Department Warns Americans To Leave India As Deaths Surge - "It's Like A Mass Killing"

As India reports growing numbers of COVID-19 deaths every day, the US and other nations are sending critical supplies while cutting off travel links. But Washington has just taken its first steps toward an evacuation as it warns all Americans still in India that it's time to get out of Dodge.

Bloomberg reports that the US has - via the State Department and local consulates - warned any Americans in the country to start making arrangements to leave as soon as possible, while also advising anybody with travel plans "not to travel to India or to leave as soon as it is safe to do so."

There are still 14 direct daily flights between India and the US, and others that connect through Europe, according to the State Department

It's particularly urgent for Americans to leave since shortages of beds and oxygen at Indian hospitals have led to sick Americans being turned away, according to the State Department. "US citizens are reporting being denied admittance to hospitals in some cities due to a lack of space," the website of the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in India warned in a health alert. "US citizens who wish to depart India should take advantage of available commercial transportation options now." All routine US citizen services and visa services at the US Consulate General Chennai have been canceled.

But before they can return to the US, anybody traveling from abroad - whether they're citizens, or not - must have a COVID-19 test done between three and five days before travel. Those who ahven't been vaccinated should also stay at home and self-quarantine for a week, the embassy urged. Which is why individuals should start working on plans to leave now.

The latest numbers out of India continued to set new records for most cases reported in a single day anywhere in the world. Indian authorities confirmed 379,257 cases over the past 24 hours, while another 3,645 infected patients died, pushing India's death toll further past 200K to 204,800.

Russian FM Lavrov: US Relations Now Worse Than Cold War

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that the state of US-Russia relations is now even worse than during the Cold War. His Wednesday comments during a televised interview might be easily dismissed as hyperbole, given there's not something that's quite equivalent to the Cuban missile crisis happening right now, but it does accurately convey things in terms of lack of simple communications at a diplomatic level. He said it was the "lack of respect" in the current climate that makes things worse.

Lavrov explained Moscow has a desire to normalize ties with Washington but that should the Biden administration refuse respectful dialogue, "we would live in conditions of a ‘Cold War’ or worse."

"During the Cold War, the tensions were flying high and risky crisis situations often emerged, but there was also a mutual respect," he said as cited in The Associated Press. "It seems to me there is a deficit of it now."

Whether or not this dangerous trajectory in lack of "respect" and communications will continue is likely to be determined on whether the proposed Biden-Putin summit actually takes place this summer. In the past days there's been multiple reports from both sides signaling the meeting is in preparation for a European country for mid-June.

The latest on Russia's view on summit progress comes via the AP as follows:

Speaking in an interview with Russian state television, Lavrov noted that Moscow has had a "positive" attitude to U.S. President Joe Biden’s proposal to hold a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but added that Russia still needs to analyze all aspects of the initiative.

Indeed US-Russia relations have reached a low point arguably even when compared to the height of the Ukraine and Crimea crisis of 2014 and 2015…

Amid a flurry of claims that Russia was building up troops in preparation for some kind of Ukraine action or offensive last month into this month (claims that Kiev officials have been pushing hard), the White House slapped sanctions on Moscow for the SolarWinds hack and 'interference'-related charges, while also expelling ten Russian diplomats.

The Kremlin responded in kind with the expelling of American officials, including a blacklist of top government and intelligence officials who are banned from travel to Russia.

Democrats Intro Bill To Strip Federal Grants From Employers Conducting Criminal Background Checks.

House Democrats introduced a bill to block forms of federal grants from going to employers that conduct criminal background checks, or even “inquire” about the criminal history of an applicant.

The bill, introduced by Representatives David Trone and Maxine Waters, seeks to “amend” the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 by “conditioning eligibility for grants” under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program.

JAG grants, according to the Department of Justice, compose the “leading source of federal justice funding to state and local jurisdictions.” The program “provides states, tribes, and local governments with critical funding necessary to support a range of program areas” including crime victim and witness initiatives, mental health programs, and crime prevention.

The bill would amend the program by introducing an “eligibility” clause for private employers, excluding grant recipients from requiring applicants to disclose their criminal records. What’s more, businesses aren’t even allowed to “‘inquire” about the matter with applicants or “conduct a criminal background check”:

‘‘ELIGIBILITY.—Beginning with the third fiscal year that begins after the date of the enactment of the Workforce Justice Act of 2021, to be eligible for an allocation under this section, a State shall have enacted and be implementing legislation that prohibits private employers from—

‘‘(A) requiring an applicant to disclose whether the applicant has a criminal record;

‘‘(B) inquiring about the criminal record of an applicant prior to a conditional offer of employment; and

‘‘(C) conducting a criminal background check on an applicant prior to a conditional offer of employment.’’

TEXAS: Bill Preventing Businesses From Firing Those Without COVID Vax Stalled By Republican Legislator

The bill would prevent employers from discriminating against non-vaccinated employees or job seekers.

Texas Rep. Angie Chen-Button has thus far slow walked a bill that would prevent businesses in Texas from firing employees because they have not received one of the controversial COVID-19 vaccines. Thus far, the bill is stalled in a committee with only days remaining in the legislative session, according to Current Revolt.

Texas House Bill 1687, which would ban discrimination by employers based on their COVID-19 vaccination status, is currently stuck in the International Relations & Economic Development committee. This committee is chaired by Rep. Angie Chen-Button. Multiple calls to Chen-Button’s office were made. No comment was given and we were told to send an email.

Unconfirmed rumors are circulating in Austin that Rep. Chen-Button refuses to move this bill out of office due to a request by Texas Instruments to require vaccinations for employees. Rep Chen-Button is a former employee of Texas Instruments and Texas Instruments headquarters also happens to be located in one of the largest parts of her district.

Currently, Houston Methodist Hospital is saying it will fire workers who refuse COVID-19 vaccinations. It seems this may be a common issue if this bill does not pass. Many Texans have voiced frustration with Rep Chen-Button this session as she abstained in a very important vote on constitutional carry for Texans.

She was also one of a handful of Republicans that voted with Democrats against an amendment that would have added pornography addiction to the list of addictions that the Brain Institute of Texas would be charged with studying.

While the Texas legislature drags its feet on this bill, the Florida legislature recently passed a bill that bans businesses, governments, and educational institutions from requiring a COVID-19 vaccine passport in the state only weeks after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed an executive order doing the same. The bill will now need to be signed by DeSantis to become law. When reached by National File, Florida Rep. Anthony Sabatini suggested Republicans around the country should use the legislation as a model, and “Pass the same exact bill. Take the bill and pass it in every state in the country.”

House Bill 1687 is not the only bill that appears to be stalled in the Texas legislature. National File recently reported that Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller appeared in a radio ad slamming Texas Rep. Dustin Burrows for slow walking a bill that would ban chemical castrations for minors in the state, suggesting voters call Burrows and make their dissatisfaction heard.

The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled in favor of an illegal immigrant who was facing deportation, stating that they are entitled to discretionary relief because the government did not follow the rules.

Federal law says that an illegal immigrant in such a situation can avoid deportation at the attorney general's discretion if they have been in the U.S. for at least 10 years. The clock officially stops when they receive "a notice to appear" with information about their hearing. But in cases like plaintiff Agusto Niz-Chavez's, the government sent multiple documents containing different pieces of information. The court's majority ruled that because the law says "a" notice, that means it must be a single document.

"At one level, today’s dispute may seem semantic, focused on a single word, a small one at that," Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote in the court's opinion. "But words are how the law constrains power. In this case, the law’s terms ensure that, when the federal government seeks a procedural advantage against an individual, it will at least supply him with a single and reasonably comprehensive statement of the nature of the proceedings against him."

Gorsuch led an unusual collection of justices in the 6-3 decision. Siding with him were liberal Justices Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor and Stephen Breyer, as well as conservatives Amy Coney Barrett and Clarence Thomas. Justice Brett Kavanaugh penned the dissent, joined by Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito.

Niz-Chavez came to the U.S. in 2005, and the Supreme Court began the removal process in 2013, after which he was ordered to leave the U.S. voluntarily or be deported. He had received two notices, one in March 2013 with his charges, and another in May 2013 with the time and place of the hearing.

"I find the Court's conclusion rather perplexing as a matter of statutory interpretation and common sense," Kavanaugh wrote in his dissent, noting that Niz-Chavez had received all of the necessary information by May 2013, well within the 10-year period.

The government argued that it is difficult to send all of the information in one notice, because the time or place of a hearing could change.

"But as this Court has long made plain," Gorsuch countered, "pleas of administrative inconvenience and self-serving regulations never 'justify departing from the statute's clear text.'"

"President Biden's decision to heavily promote a business where his energy secretary holds a multimillion-dollar stake has all the potential to be even worse than Solyndra," Cruz told the Free Beacon. "President Biden and Secretary Granholm should immediately remove themselves from their glaring conflict of interest."

The Solyndra boondoggle became a lasting symbol of failure during the Obama administration, which awarded the green energy firm a $535 million loan guarantee through the 2009 stimulus package. The loan was announced with fanfare by then-vice president Biden and Energy Secretary Steven Chu during a Sept. 4, 2009 speech at Solyndra's California headquarters. Obama, even after being warned that the company was on the brink of failure, visited its headquarters a few months later and hailed it for "leading the way toward a brighter and more prosperous future."

The company months later shut down all operations and declared bankruptcy.

The overt promotion of Solyndra bears resemblance to the current treatment of Proterra, which in the first hundred days of the Biden administration won a visit by the president as well as a visit by Vice President Kamala Harris to one of its largest partners. Biden predicted during his virtual visit that companies like Proterra were "going to end up owning the future." Biden also promised the company he would return for an in-person visit in the near future.

The White House says Granholm, who has been given a major role in both crafting and selling the infrastructure package, played no role in planning the visit to Proterra. Granholm resigned from the company's board but has yet to divest her up to $5 million in the company, which was acquired for $1.6 billion this January.

Sen. John Barrasso (R., Wyo.), the ranking member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, has asked the Department of Energy's inspector general to investigate any conflicts of interest created by Granholm's stake in Proterra.

Barrasso pointed in the letter to assurances made by Granholm during her confirmation hearing that she would not only resign from Proterra but also recuse herself from any issue with an "effect on the financial interests of Proterra" until fully divested. Biden has since used an executive order to place Granholm in charge of "identifying risks in the supply chain for high-capacity batteries, including electric-vehicle batteries, and policy recommendations to address these risks."

"Secretary Granholm leads the Department of Energy, which plays a central role in the nation's development of electric vehicles, batteries, and charging infrastructure," Barrasso said.

Recent reports reveal that a Chinese company with connections to the Gates Foundation is involved in COVID-19 testing and poses a potential threat to American privacy, particularly the medical and health data of those who have been tested for COVID-19.

In late January, CBS’ 60 Minutes reported:

“60 Minutes has learned Chinese company BGI Group, the largest biotech firm in the world, offered to build COVID labs in at least six states, and U.S. intelligence officials issued warnings not to share health data with BGI.

The largest biotech firm in the world wasted no time in offering to build and run COVID testing labs in Washington, contacting its governor right after the first major COVID outbreak in the U.S. occurred there. The Chinese company, the BGI Group, made the same offer to at least five other states, including New York and California, 60 Minutes has learned. This, along with other COVID testing offers by BGI, so worried Bill Evanina, then the country’s top counterintelligence officer, that he authorized a rare public warning.”

“Foreign powers can collect, store and exploit biometric information from COVID tests” declared the notice. Evanina believes the Chinese are trying to collect Americans’ DNA to win a race to control the world’s biodata.”

Evanina said a foreign entity could learn about a person’s current or future medical conditions by studying their DNA and using this information to gain a monopoly over necessary drugs and treatments.

BGI Group declined to be interviewed by 60 Minutes and said the idea that Americans genomic data has been compromised by BGI is “groundless”.

Concerns around BGI also arose in late January when Reuters reported that more than 40 publicly available documents and research papers show BGI’s links to the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). Reuters said the research dealt with topics as varied as mass testing for respiratory pathogens to brain science.

The Gates Foundation and BGI

In March, journalist Natalie Winter of National Pulse uncovered documentation of a relationship between the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and BGI going back nearly a decade. Winter found a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Gates Foundation and BGI to “form a collaboration on global health and agricultural development with the goal of achieving common objectives in health and agricultural development.”

Specifically, this collaboration deals with developments in human, plant, and animal genomics, the study of DNA. In the press release for the MOU, the co-founder of BGI directly mentions the partnership as focused on genomics.

“BGI looks forward to partnering with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in this significant collaboration to apply genomics research to benefit global human health,” said Dr. Huanming Yang, Chairman and Co-Founder of BGI.

Bill Gates also visited BGI headquarters in 2010, according to a report from the Financial Times. The Times stated that BGI “is working towards a goal of building a huge library based on the DNA of many millions of people.” BGI’s goal is to use this information for new drugs, genetic research, and “transforming public health policy”.

It would appear the COVID-19 crisis has helped BGI and the Gates Foundation step into the role of influencing and transforming international health policy.

Winter’s report also notes that:

“the Gates Foundation has also funded BGI projects relating to genome sequencing alongside Chinese Communist Party bodies such as the Ministry of Science and Technology and Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

Similarly, Dr. Tadataka Yamada, the former president of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s global health program, serves as the Chairman of BGI’s Scientific Advisory Board.”

It’s clear that BGI Group and the Gates Foundation have a documented relationship over the last the decade. It’s equally apparent that BGI Group has an extensive relationship with the Chinese military and government. It is these connections – the relationship that exists between the Chinese government, the BGI Group, and the Gates Foundation – which has sparked fears regarding the potential misuse for the COVID-19 tests manufactured by BGI.

BGI and the DNA Testing Industry

Since March 2020, BGI has sold millions of their COVID-19 test kits around the world, including the United States, Europe, and Australia. Reuters reports that shares of BGI Genomics Co. have doubled in the last year, giving BGI a market value of around $9 billion USD.

Trump hits McConnell again, saying GOP needs new leadership

Former President Trump on Thursday renewed his feud with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) by calling for Senate Republicans to find a new leader ahead of the midterm elections, suggesting doing so would boost their chances of taking back the upper chamber next year.

Asked by Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo how Republicans will fare in the 2022 elections, Trump said he expects GOP candidates to do very well but said the party needs new leadership in the Senate.

“I think we’re going to do very well. We need good leadership. Mitch McConnell has not done a great job, I think they should change Mitch McConnell,” Trump said during an hourlong interview Thursday morning.

But Trump said his own support of GOP candidates would help Republicans win back Congress.

“I’m looking at the right people to endorse and when I endorse people it means a lot,” he said. “I think we’re going to have a great victory in 2022. I think we’re going to take back the House. Everybody’s working very hard.”

Most Senate Republicans remain solidly unified behind McConnell and have repeatedly defended the GOP leader from Trump’s attacks.

No Republican senator has stated any desire to challenge McConnell, whom many GOP lawmakers view as one of the smartest tacticians in Washington.

Trump highlighted his work with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), who traveled to Trump’s Palm Beach resort in January to meet with the former president.

“I’m working in conjunction with Kevin McCarthy and the group and I think we’re going to take back the House,” he said.

McConnell, by contrast, hasn’t spoken to Trump since mid-December and rarely invokes the former president by name after denouncing him on the Senate floor in February for inciting an unruly mob of supporters to storm the Capitol on Jan. 6. McConnell, however, did not vote to convict Trump on a House-passed article of impeachment accusing him of inciting an insurrection.

Trump ripped McConnell afterward in a lengthy statement that warned “the Republican Party can never again be respected or strong with political ‘leaders’ like Sen. Mitch McConnell at its helm.”

He declared if “Republican senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again.”

Trump took another shot at the GOP leader at a fundraising event at Mar-a-Lago earlier this month, ripping him as a “dumb son of a bitch” and a “stone-cold loser.”

McConnell tried to put the feud to rest when asked about Trump’s attacks.

“What I’m concentrating on is the future and what we are confronted with here is a totally left-wing administration, with a slight majority in the House, a 50-50 Senate trying to transform America into something no one voted for last year,” McConnell told reporters earlier this month.

A two year old baby has died within six days of taking the second shot of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in the ongoing experimental clinical trials on more than 10,000 children under the age of 5 to 11.

Pfizer and Moderna are going through clinical trials for their mRNA shots on more than 10,000 children as young as six months old. The trials of these vaccines started in mid-March.

Moderna refers to its study as KidCOVE. The children are also being used as guinea pig by Johnson and Johnson and AstraZeneca.

Meanwhile, its possible the parents of these children are unaware of these facts.

Michelle Lynam is the current Dr. United States of America, an anesthesiologist in Midlothian, Virginia. She posts videos on Facebook sneaking over experimental shots. She is also subjecting her children to these experimental shots.

Lynam registered her two teenage daughters for clinical trials of Pfizer. She enrolled her six year old daughter for clinical trial of Moderna.

Clinical Research Partners in Richmond, Virginia is facilitating the guinea pig trial of children by Moderna in the state.

There is very low possibility that people would know about any negative results of these trials. However, the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) provide an insight on the effects of the experimental mRNA shots on these children.

A two-year-old girl received her second (Dose 2) experimental Pfizer mRNA shot on February 25. She apparently developed some sort of serious adverse reaction on March 1. The baby was dead on March 3. No further details were provided.

The audit started on April 23. A judge on April 28 rejected the attempt by Democrats to halt the process.

The Brennan Center, Protect Democracy and The Leadership Conference have signed a letter to the civil rights division of the DOJ asking them to get involved.

The arguments within the letter [pdf here] are identical to the arguments made previously by other Lawfare groups, including Perkins Coie, to a state judge. The state judge rejected the arguments because there was no evidence submitted to the court to back them up.

Obviously there is a great amount of fear amid the network of Lawfare and leftist activists about this ongoing ballot audit. The letter only highlights the worry they carry that Arizona’s election fraud might be demonstrably proven the the wider U.S. electorate.

WASHINGTON DC – A group of election security and administration experts are asking the Justice Department to send federal monitors to Arizona as the Republican-led state Senate carries out an audit of 2.1 million ballots cast in Maricopa County in the state’s 2020 presidential election.

In a letter to the top official at the Justice Department’s voting section, five elections experts from the Brennan Center for Justice, Protect Democracy and The Leadership Conference expressed deep concerns about how the audit is being conducted, warning that it has put ballots “in danger of being stolen, defaced, or irretrievably damaged.”

“They failed to ensure the physical security of ballots by keeping doors unlocked and allowing unauthorized persons to access the ballot storage facility,” the letter reads. “They also risk compromising the integrity of the ballots themselves, using materials and technologies that will cause the ballot paper and marks to deteriorate, such as holding ballots to ultra-violet light without gloves. 'Antifa' issues veiled death threat against Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler in alarming video

A person purporting to represent Antifa has reportedly targeted Portland, Oregon, Mayor Ted Wheeler (D) after he issued a plea for the community to assist in "unmasking" rioters and members of Antifa.

Just last week, Wheeler asked the public to identify any violent or destructive demonstrators as riots have continued to erupt across the city for more than a year.

What are the details?

According to a Thursday report from PJ Media, a person purporting to represent Antifa threatened Wheeler in a video shared Wednesday night.

In the video, a masked person threatens the Democratic mayor and even goes as far as to publish Wheeler's home address.

The person concluded, "Ted, we are asking for the last time that you resign. If you ignore this message outright, the destruction to your precious way of life is going to escalate. Blood is already on your hands, Ted. The next time, it may just be your own."

On Thursday afternoon, The Oregonian reported that police are investigating the video.

Jim Middaugh, a spokesman for the mayor, said that he and his office learned of the video Wednesday evening.

Middaugh added that the city's police bureau also notified the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

"Middaugh said the mayor's office has seen a dramatic uptick in messages following the press conference, most of them critical of Wheeler and the remarks he made," the outlet reported. "Some claimed the mayor's comments would encourage right-wing vigilantism while others said hardline approach was too-little, too-late."

Wheeler's remarks also rankled some civil rights groups.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Oregon condemned Wheeler's request in a statement.

“His comments are inappropriate, irresponsible, and dangerous," a spokesperson for the group said. “After more than four years as police commissioner, Ted Wheeler must finally recognize the role that unchecked police violence has in escalating tension in Portland."

Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson are calling for Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Inspector General Laura Wertheimer to be ousted from office. "Her behavior certainly falls far short of your calls for unity, transparency, and integrity. To put it mildly, the only thing this watchdog appears to hunt is her own employees," the Republican lawmakers wrote in an April 28 letter to President Biden. "She should be removed from office, in a manner consistent with applicable statutory notification requirements," they said. The two senators noted that they have previously received whistleblower complaints about Wertheimer, and they also highlighted the finding of the Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency's (CIGIE) Integrity Committee (IC) that Wertheimer had engaged in misconduct.

"The IC's report is long anticipated, following a series of separate letters from our offices to various governmental bodies requesting documents, evidence, and interviews. Those letters include requests from 2017 to the Office of Special Counsel and the IC to investigate allegations brought to us by multiple whistleblowers of misconduct by the IG," the lawmakers wrote in their letter to Biden. "IG Wertheimer was nominated by then-President Obama and confirmed by the Senate in September of 2014. Just over a year later, in October 2015, we began investigating whistleblower allegations," they wrote. In a letter to President Biden, Integrity Committee chair Kevin Winters noted: "After thoroughly reviewing the evidence and responses, the IC finds by a preponderance of the evidence that IG Wertheimer abused her authority in the exercise of her official duties and engaged in conduct that undermines the integrity reasonably expected of an IG. In particular, the IC finds that IG Wertheimer showed a disdain and resistance towards Congressional and IC oversight by fostering a culture of witness intimidation through a pattern of staff abuse and fear of retaliation. Furthermore, she wrongfully refused to cooperate with the IC's investigation by denying IC investigators full access to FHFA OIG personnel and documents." The letter from Winters also stated: "The IC concludes that misconduct of this nature warrants consideration of substantial disciplinary action, up to and including removal."

Oregon city issues emergency declaration to fight liberal governor's COVID edicts. Now other local governments are asking them how they did it.

The state of Oregon suffers a problem similar to its neighbor to the north, Washington. Much of the state — especially the east side — is conservative but is dominated by the hard-core liberalism of its biggest urban center in the northwest corner. For Washington it's Seattle. For Oregon it's Portland.

Because of the left's power, the Democratic governors of those states have been emboldened to push pandemic restrictions, mask mandates, and health edicts upon their subjects.

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown (D) ordered all indoor dining to stop, forced gyms and entertainment activities to be shuttered, closed outdoor recreation, required businesses to mandate work-from-home and close offices to the public, limited churches to 25 people, kept kids out of school, told Oregonians to call the police to rat on neighbors who violate her lockdown orders, and even reportedly used CPS to retaliate against a salon owner for reopening early.

Last month, one Eastern Oregon city decided it had had enough and came up with a unique way to fight Brown's orders — and now other cities and counties are coming to its leaders asking how they did it.

What happened?

Immediately after Baker City Mayor Kerry McQuisten was sworn in to her first term on Jan. 12, business leaders began asking her for help fighting Brown's mandates, the mayor told PJ Media this week.

The push started with a discussion of how to make Baker City a "sanctuary city."

“After we were all sworn in back on January 12th, local businesses brought forth to [city] council an idea of a Common Sense Sanctuary City," McQuisten said. "The idea was pretty funny, actually. It was a good idea. They were asking for local businesses to be able to adhere, or not adhere to the mask mandates, the OSHA [Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division] restrictions, as they saw fit individually."

The mayor told PJ Media that a town hall meeting on the issue showed how concerned her constituents were.

"Business owners poured in to give testimony," she said. "Some questioned whether the city could protect them from state OSHA regulations and targeting by these agencies."

As time went on, the discussions and meetings led to action. The city council sent a letter to Brown with their concerns and discussed a possible resolution.

They soon learned that would not be enough.

"After we got no response from the governor," McQuisten told PJ Media, "we brought forth the Emergency Declaration, and batted the language back and forth for a couple of weeks."

That led to the emergency declaration the city council passed March 23. The declaration cites Brown's "arbitrary, ineffective, and draconian" executive orders and the lack of legal ability the city has to "flout" the mandates, which keeps the municipality from defending local businesses.

It also notes that "that neither city, county nor state government has the legal right to flout the Oregon State Constitution or the United States Constitution" and that "our citizens are fully capable of making their private, individual healthcare and lifestyle decisions themselves."

The declaration also cites other negative impacts Brown's edicts have had and the legal dubiousness of the orders.

Massive DDT dumping ground found off the Los Angeles coast is bigger than anyone thought

A survey recently mapped over 27,000 barrels of industrial waste and DDT.

The sea bottom near southern California has been hiding a very dirty secret: decades of discarded chemicals in thousands of barrels. And the toxic debris field is even bigger than anyone expected, containing at least 27,000 drums of DDT and industrial waste, scientists recently discovered. High concentrations of DDT (dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane, an insecticide that was widely used for pest control during the 1940s and 1950s) were previously detected in ocean sediments between the Los Angeles coast and Catalina Island, in 2011 and 2013. At the time, scientists who searched the seafloor in the area identified 60 barrels (possibly containing DDT or other waste) and found DDT contamination in sediments, but the full extent of the area's contamination was unknown.

Now, a research expedition presents a clearer picture of the deep-sea dump site. Their findings reveal a stretch of ocean bottom studded with at least 27,000 industrial waste barrels — and possibly as many as 100,000, researchers with Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California said in a statement. From March 10 to March 24, a team of 31 experts onboard the Scripps research vehicle Sally Ride created high-resolution acoustic maps of the seafloor at the San Pedro Basin, covering 36,000 acres (146 square kilometers) from 12 miles (19 kilometers) off the coast of southern California to 8 miles (13 km) from Catalina Island. Two underwater autonomous vehicles (AUVs) named REMUS 6000 and Bluefin swam through depths up to 9,800 feet (3,000 meters) below sea level, using sonar to pinpoint the locations of the barrels.

These containers were quite small — less than 3 feet (1 m) tall — and those that were buried looked even smaller in the sonar scans, expedition member Sophia Merrifield, a Scripps oceanographer and data scientist, said at a virtual news conference on April 27. The researchers therefore had to develop algorithms that would automate the process for identifying and counting such tiny objects, Merrifield explained. "We needed to be able to pump hundreds of gigs [gigabytes] through an algorithm that would detect these very small, very bright targets," she said. Images of the 60 sunken barrels spotted in 2011 and 2013 helped the scientists calibrate their algorithms. The result categorized not only an object's location but also its size and brightness, "so that we can do further pattern analysis and classification of the types of targets," Merrifield said. From the AUV scans and data analysis, the expedition scientists discovered that more than 90% of the survey area contained some debris, Eric Terrill, chief scientist of the expedition and director of the Marine Physical Laboratory at Scripps, said at the news conference. Researchers found 100,000 pieces of human-made debris and identified the subset that were likely barrels holding DDT and other types of industrial waste, Terrill said.

Amazon Hits Record High On Blowout Earnings And Guidance

With the bulk of the FAAM(N)G stocks reporting somewhat mixed earnings so far, with NFLX and MSFT disappointing offset by solid results from Google and Apple (although one wouldn't know it looking at today's stock price), investors were keenly looking for a tiebreaker from today's Amazon earnings, where according to Bloomberg, the biggest question for Amazon is how sustainable are the growth trends that boosted its performance during the pandemic. The Internet giant was one of the biggest beneficiaries of shifts in consumer and business behavior last year.

Many consumers flocked to buy things online as they wanted to avoid infection at physical stores. Further, Amazon Web Services revenue soared on back of rising usage from Internet digital services - including remote-working software, videostreaming and gaming. But with the wider available of vaccines and as employees start to return to physical offices, the risk is some of these trends may start to reverse. Bloomberg also notes that investors will be also looking for any commentary on the future prospects for regulation and antitrust legislation.

Questions aside, Amazon shares rallied in recent weeks, gaining about 18% off a year-to-date low in March. The stock has been approaching an intraday record of $3,552.25 that was set in early September. Shares rose about 0.3% Thursday ahead of results.

Well, in the first quarter since Jeff Bezos announced his departure, we just had another blockbuster quarter for the online retailer which blew away consensus estimates and also guided solidly higher than expected, potentially tipping the scales bullishly for the megatechs. In early 2021, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force (HIDTA) and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) initiated a joint investigation of a drug trafficking organization with ties to the Juarez Mexican Drug Cartel. The primary drug trafficking broker operated from a federal prison in Georgia.

The investigation began on January 14, 2021, when a parcel shipped from Quebec, Canada containing approximately 2,500 Xanax pills was intercepted by investigators. PCSO undercover detectives conducted a controlled delivery at 3237 Xerxes Avenue NW in Winter Haven and arrested 37-year-old Amber Cayson of Winter Haven. Also seized at the residence was 24 pounds of THC edibles, 2.4 pounds of marijuana, and a pound of methamphetamine.

As the investigation progressed, PCSO detectives learned of a suspected drug trafficker in Georgia, 37-year-old Brian Stanton, known as “Lil B,” who was arranging for the sale and delivery of methamphetamine in Polk County. Stanton is currently incarcerated in the United States Federal Penitentiary in Atlanta.

Josh Duggar, known for appearing in "19 Kids and Counting," has been arrested in Arkansas.

The 33-year-old reality star was arrested on Thursday afternoon local time, according to an online profile from the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

His charges are currently unclear, but they are on a federal rather than local level, as he was arrested by a US Marshal. Reps for the Sheriff's Office did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.

He's being held without bail.

I recorded them murdering patients': COVID nurse goes public with shocker

A nurse who responded during America's 2020 fight against COVID-19, traveling from Florida to New York to help in one of the hospitals in that pandemic-struck city, reports the health care system was about as bad as the pandemic itself.

"I recorded them murdering patients. I recorded just the complete and absolute disregard for human life," Erin Maria Olzewski said during an interview with LifeSiteNews.

She previously has gotten attention for her reports of "fraud, negligence, and greed" in the system that "led to unnecessary deaths" during the nation's war against the virus that apparently was unleashed in China and since has spread around the globe, killing millions.

She sat down with LifeSiteNews during a recent Health & Freedom Conference. The sold-out 4,000-person event was held at Rhema Bible College.

She lives in the Tampa, Florida, area and volunteered to work temporarily as a nurse in New York because COVID-19 patients were just not that much of a burden in Florida.

She was assigned to Elmhurst, which she called the epicenter of the epicenter.

"The very first day [at Elmhurst] I was shocked. It was something I’ve never seen before. Patients were alone in the rooms on ventilators [with] no family allowed in [to advocate for them]. People were just dying from gross negligence, medical malpractice, [and] mismanagement," she said.

Olzewski said patients who repeatedly tested negative for the virus were being labeled as "COVID confirmed" in their medical charts, and that triggered a higher level of compensation from the government.

She told LifeSiteNews those "perverse incentives" from the Department of Health and Human Services provided $13,000 for each COVID patient, or $39,000 if they were put on a ventilator.

And she explained the wild variances in treatment.

"[In Florida] we treated our patients with hydroxychloroquine, zinc … sent them home and they were fine," she said. In New York, "they were banning alternative treatments like hydroxychloroquine. The only thing they could do was to put people on ventilators."

She explained the circumstances that developed – the incentive to admit patients, classify them as COVID positive and then put them on ventilators, with families banned from attendance on their loved ones.

It was "the perfect storm, and people took advantage of it," she said.

Her concerns first had been brought to light in a viral video called "Perspectives on the Pandemic: The (Undercover) Epicenter Nurse."

She told LifeSiteNews that when she first arrived at Elmhurst Hospital she had nothing to do for days, learning that other nurses had been there for three weeks "getting paid $10,000 a week" without an assignment.

"If they needed nurses so badly, why are you bringing me here if there’s nurses sitting around?” she wondered. It was her first "red flag" that what was being reported on the situation was not actually what was happening.

Shortly later, she contacted an attorney in New York, secured a "pair of spyglasses" and began to document what she saw.

"I recorded them murdering patients. I recorded just the complete and absolute disregard for human life," she said.

They described the lockdowns as "completely uncalled for" because "People stayed home and got even more sick, so that caused even more deaths."

Many such decisions were made based on New York's results, she said, "which now we know were lies."

In fact, thousands died in the state's nursing homes after Gov. Andrew Cuomo's orders that the facilities accept COVID-19 positive cases into their populations of elderly and vulnerable people.

LifeSiteNews reported, "New York state nursing home deaths for the period topped 15,000, and following Cuomo’s cover-up of these figures, there have been many calls for his resignation even from members of his own Democratic party."

The lockdowns, she said, "are causing a lot more harm" than the virus, because of the related "emotional issues, depression, suicide, just the mal-health of everybody who is living in fear itself. It’s just no way to live. It’s un-American to take away freedoms based on a false narrative."

She said, "No one is focusing on preventative health and what you can do. Quercetin is a natural alternative to hydroxychloroquine, you can get over-the-counter, take it with zinc, vitamin C, get outside, [and get] good exercise. Get healthy, [and] drink water.

"Be brave. Be bold. And step outside of your comfort zone. If you see something say something and think about future generations to come. If you don’t fight right now, then who’s going to do it?"

Democrat AGs take drubbing from 9th Circuit in printed guns case

A large coalition of anti-gun Democrat attorneys general from around the country this week took a drubbing at the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which is typically left-leaning but in this case canceled a lower court's injunction against the posting online of files for 3-D printed guns.

"This is a humongous loss for anti-gun Democrat state attorneys general," explained Second Amendment Foundation founder Alan M. Gottlieb. "They consistently attack Second Amendment rights any way they can."

The decision came from the 9th Circuit in a lawsuit filed by 22 state attorneys general and the AG for the District of Columbia against an agreement between the State and Commerce departments and SAF and Defense Distributed allowing the posting of data relating to 3-D printing of firearms.

"This legal debacle was led by Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson," Gottlieb explained, "who became famous for suing the Trump administration in a series of partisan legal actions that cost taxpayers millions of dollars.

"SAF and Defense Distributed look forward to sharing technical firearms information with millions of interested people on the Internet," Gottlieb added.

The 9th Circuit panel sent the case back to district court with instructions that it be dismissed.

Writing for the majority, Circuit Judge Ryan D. Nelson noted, "Because both the DOS and Commerce Final Rules are unreviewable, the states have not demonstrated the requisite likelihood of success on the merits… Congress expressly barred judicial review of designations and undesignations of defense articles under the Control Act and of any functions exercised under the Reform Act. Accordingly, the district court erred in reviewing the DOS and Commerce Final Rules, and its injunction is therefore contrary to law."

"I want to thank the National Shooting Sports Foundation for intervening at the Appeals Court level," Gottlieb said. "Obviously, the intent of the lawsuit was to void the agreement State had with SAF and Defense Distributed via a final rule that would remove 3-D printed guns and files from the U.S. Munitions list regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). SAF and Defense Distributed were not named in the lawsuit to avoid this becoming a First Amendment case. As interested parties, we tried to get the trial judge to realize this was about our First Amendment rights to exercise our Second Amendment rights, because we were convinced we would have won on that basis."

Courthousenews reported that the new administration in Washington, under President Biden, is expected to renew the attack on 3-D printed gun files as soon as it can.

The lower court judge, District Judge Robert Lasnik, had blocked rules that transferred regulatory control of those computer files from the State Department to the Commerce Department.

The changes then also removed the blueprints from a State Department list of munitions that require a license to export. Twenty-two states led by Washington state sued to prevent the rule changes from taking effect.

The majority opinion from U.S. Circuit Judges Jay Bybee and Nelson found the courts specifically lack authority to review such actions.

A fully vaccinated Arizona state lawmaker has confirmed that she has tested positive for COVID-19. Tucson Democratic Rep. Alma Hernandez announced late Wednesday that she has some symptoms and is quarantining for a week at the home she maintains in Phoenix. Hernandez said she has lost her sense of taste and smell and has a bad headache, typical mild symptoms of the coronavirus. Her brother, Democratic Rep. Daniel Hernandez, says he tested negative for the virus but will self-isolate for several days and then take another test.

Hernandez is at least the eighth Arizona state lawmaker who has confirmed they contracted the virus and the only one known to be fully vacinated. Republican state Sen. David Gowan had the virus in early March. Alma Hernandez says she was fully vaccinated 11 weeks ago but noted that getting the inoculation does not prevent the infection. She says she continued to take precautions such as wearing a mask, washing her hands and social distancing and urges everyone to do so until the pandemic passes. At least 435 state lawmakers nationwide have tested positive for the disease and seven have died, according to a tally by The Associated Press. For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks. For some — especially older adults and people with existing health problems — it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia, and death.

Former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials are slamming President Joe Biden’s touting of massive amnesty for illegal aliens in his address to a joint session of Congress while illegal aliens pour across the United States-Mexico border.

As Breitbart News reported, Biden asked Congress to pass his plan giving amnesty to roughly 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the U.S.

“I kept my commitment and I sent a comprehensive immigration bill to Congress. If you believe we need a secure border — pass it. If you believe in a pathway to citizenship — pass it,” Biden told Congress.

Former Acting DHS Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli, now with the Heritage Foundation, slammed Biden’s amnesty push as merely an effort to “create new voters” to “benefit [Democrats] politically.”

“He has undermined those very laws with his radical open-borders policies, and granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens who broke our laws by coming and remaining here illegally will only make a further mockery of that oath,” Cuccinelli said:

Let’s not forget how bad this crisis is, and the scope of what the president wants to do. In January, 78,000 illegal aliens were apprehended trying to cross the border, a number that increased to 100,000 in February, and more than 172,000 in March. Apprehensions in March 2021 increased by more than 420% compared to March 2020. If this month’s numbers are even close to last month’s shocking 172,000 apprehensions, we are talking about a 900% increase from April 2020 to April 2021. [Emphasis added]

Former Acting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Mark Morgan, also with the Heritage Foundation, urged Congress to reject the effort and said Biden’s amnesty plan would “reward widespread, systemic lawbreaking.”

“… by advancing what would be the largest amnesty proposal in U.S. history, the Biden administration is making it one by insisting on rewarding up to 30 million illegal aliens with the greatest prize in the world — American citizenship,” Morgan said. “Doing so will only make this historic border crisis worse.”

Pro-American worker groups, which advocate for less overall immigration to the U.S., also hit Biden for attempting to add tens of millions of foreign workers to the legal workforce even as 22.4 million Americans remain jobless or underemployed.

Executives from “the nation’s largest grassroots immigration-reduction organization,” NumbersUSA, said Biden ought to pass mandatory E-Verify, to eliminate employers from being allowed to hire illegal aliens over Americans, if he wants to secure the southern border.

During Wednesday night’s national address, President Joe Biden repeated his oft-debunked claim that that “no amendment to the Constitution is absolute” while making an argument against gun rights, and went to lie about the Supreme Court’s stance on free speech, claiming “you can’t yell fire in a crowded theater.”

“No amendment to the constitution is absolute,” Biden said after making an appeal to restrict gun rights. “You can’t yell ‘fire’ in a crowded theater. From the very beginning, there were certain guns, weapons, that could not be owned by Americans.“

Biden is not only incorrect about firearms restrictions, which did not exist even for military cannon and warships at the country’s founding, but the “fire in a crowded theater” metaphor he invokes so often is also completely false.

The saying comes from remarks made over a hundred years ago in 1919 by Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes in the case Schenk v. United States, during which the court incorrectly ruled that advocating against the draft was not free speech.

The Court’s ruling is widely interpreted as one of the worst ever in U.S. history, and was effectively overturned in the landmark 1969 case Brandenburg v. Ohio.

Yelling “Fire!” in a crowded theater has been ruled protected speech for over half a century, but that has not prevented Biden from repeating the false claim on many occasions.

Biden also has a history of making up outright lies about background checks at gun shows:

President Joe Biden made false claims about gun rights on Thursday, claiming that when “You go to a gun show, you can buy whatever you want, and no background check.” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki ran damage control for Biden in Thursday’s White House briefing, claiming that he does not actually believe that there are no background checks at gun shows.

“Require background checks for anyone purchasing a gun at a gun show, or an online sale,” Biden said. Background checks are already mandatory for online sales and sales by licensed gun dealers at gun shows.

“Most people don’t know, you walk into a store and you buy a gun, you have a background check,” Biden said. “But you go to a gun show, you can buy whatever you want– and no background check.”

Joe Rogan back-peddled Thursday on his claim that healthy young Americans don’t need to get vaccinated against COVID-19 — insisting he’s “not an anti-vaxx person.”

On his popular podcast “Joe Rogan Experience,” the 53-year-old comedian downplayed his own credibility after his comments sparked outrage on social media and a response from Dr. Anthony Fauci.

“I’m not a doctor, I’m a f-cking moron,” Rogan said. “I’m not a respected source of information, even for me … But I at least try to be honest about what I’m saying.”

He clarified that the comments made on his podcast last week — that young, healthy people don’t “need to worry about ” getting the shots — didn’t stem from a belief that vaccines are dangerous.

“I’m not an anti-vaxx person,” he said. “I said I believe they’re safe and I encourage many people to take them. My parents were vaccinated. I just said that if you’re a young, healthy person that you don’t need it.”

China’s Digital Yuan Will Not Topple the Dollar, SEC Official Says

LONDON—China’s planned digital yuan will not dethrone the dollar, a top Securities and Exchange Commission official said on Thursday, citing the growth of so-called stablecoins backed by the greenback.

The world’s biggest central banks, including the People’s Bank of China and U.S. Federal Reserve, are stepping up work on issuing digital cash, eyeing improvements to payment systems and looking to pre-empt the rise of cryptocurrencies.

The PBOC’s work on a digital yuan—part of a push to internationalize the currency—is far ahead of similar initiatives in other major economies.

That has led some analysts to question if the faster pace from the globe’s second largest economy could lead the yuan to gain dominance over the dollar, which remains the world’s dominant reserve currency.

Yet Hester Peirce, a Republican commissioner at the SEC, said the rise of stablecoins—privately issued cryptocurrencies often backed by the dollar—would maintain the U.S. currency’s status.

“Even in 2021, there’s been a tremendous growth in stablecoins—these are essentially private digital dollars,” she said. “That, effectively, may be our answer to the Chinese CBDC (central bank digital currency). It may be just private stablecoins.”

“If they’re dollar-backed then I think that the dollar will still be quite relevant,” said Peirce during a digital currency event.

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said on Wednesday China’s digital yuan plans would not push the Fed to rush its own digital dollar plans, emphasizing that its primary goal was not speed to market but to avoid any misstep in digitizing the dollar.

Stablecoins are a fraction of the size of bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency.

The biggest, Tether, has a market capitalization of about $51 billion, compared to bitcoin’s $1 trillion. Like bitcoin, it is still little used in commerce.

Latest event at Portland’s ‘red house’ generates nearly 2 dozen 911 calls

The North Portland property where police and protesters engaged in a tense standoff late last year was the site of a large party Tuesday that spilled into the surrounding neighborhood and prompted nearly two dozen 911 calls.

The party at the so-called “red house” was advertised on Instagram, featured live music and drew between 100 and 150 people, according to neighbors who say they worry the site will continue to be the source of nuisance complaints as warmer weather approaches. The property is located at 4406 N. Mississippi Ave.

One neighbor, Dylan Kruse, said he called 911 to report trespassing on his property and later spoke with a police officer about the assault of a woman associated with the party. Kruse said he heard the woman screaming. Kruse said the officer told him that police would not “insert officers into the situation.”

Kruse said his fence was tagged with an anti-police message overnight.

The red house and adjacent empty lot remain largely unchanged since becoming a flashpoint for protesters late last year after authorities arrived to evict people from the home, though a makeshift stage for performers appears to have been added. Signs around the mostly boarded up house say, “Land back,” “Protest the red house” and “Indigenous solidarity for black liberation.”

A Moroccan flag still flies in front of the house, a nod to the Moorish sovereign beliefs of William Kinney, who goes by William X. Nietzche. The home previously belonged to Kinney’s parents, who lost the property through foreclosure. Kinney embraces the sovereign citizen movement, a fringe belief system whose adherents profess they are above the law.

Meanwhile, talks about both properties appear to have stalled. Libra Forde, chief operating officer at Self Enhancement Inc., a prominent nonprofit that has long served the area’s Black youths and families, said her organization remains interested in acquiring the empty lot, but the review process continues.

By the end of the year, it seemed a deal that would turn the house over to the Kinneys had been brokered, but little has happened since. A spokesman for Mayor Ted Wheeler said he needed to check on the status of talks about the properties and did not get back to The Oregonian/OregonLive by day’s end.

Portland police Sgt. Kevin Allen said the city received “numerous noise complaint calls in that neighborhood last night.”

He said it does not appear that officers responded in person but they did return calls to people who wanted to speak with an officer.

He said limited police resources mean police “will always prioritize life safety emergencies.”

“They also would factor in that any response there would require more officers to respond as there has been hostility toward the police from some community members at that location,” he said in an email to The Oregonian/OregonLive.

He said police did receive a complaint about an assault “but the officer’s notes indicate the complainant decided to call back another time.”

FBI electronics tech arrested on child pornography charges in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – An Antioch man, employed by the FBI as an electronics technician, was charged on Tuesday with sexual exploitation of children and receipt of child pornography.

A release from the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee stated that 38-year-old Justin D. Carroll was arrested by FBI agents Tuesday morning when he arrived to work at the Nashville FBI office.

According to the criminal complaint, Carroll was identified as the user of an email address which was connected to “the facilitation and exchange of sexually explicit images and videos between Carroll and a 14-year-old female in Rhode Island.”

The investigation began in March when a package was received at the Nashville FBI Office addressed to the building, but had no recipient indicated on the label. According to the release, the package had a return address that listed the name and Rhode Island address of an individual, later identified as a 14-year-old girl.

The nature of the package prompted a response from FBI bomb technicians. The package was found to contain a teddy bear and candies.

The statement goes on to say further investigation determined that the 14-year-old girl met Carroll in an online chat room last summer. Their communications continued over multiple platforms, eventually transitioning to Google Hangout and email, including her school email account.

The messages sent by Carroll “consisted primarily of descriptions of intercourse and professions of love and included sexually explicit photos and videos exchanged between Carroll and the minor female,” the release states.

All communications sent from and received by Carroll were determined to have been sent from his personal devices. Carroll had previously provided the teen girl his mailing address, listing the Nashville FBI Office’s street address.

The investigation also identified other accounts of Carroll engaging or attempted to engage in sexually explicit conversations with minors. The investigation remains active.

Carroll faces a minimum of 15 years and up to 50 years in prison, if convicted.

This investigation is being conducted by the FBI. Assistant U.S. Attorney Carrie Daughtrey is prosecuting the case.

Tuesday’s announcement was made by Acting U.S. Attorney Mary Jane Stewart for the Middle District of Tennessee and Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Douglas Korneski of the FBI Memphis Field Office.

Carroll is expected to appear before a U.S. Magistrate Judge on Tuesday afternoon.

Man accused of sexually assaulting girl, 9, could be linked to 2017 murders

Authorities are looking into whether an Indiana man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl might be connected to the 2017 killings of two teenagers in the state, according to reports on Wednesday.

James Chadwell II, 42, was arrested in Lafayette on April 19, after police found the child locked in his basement, about an hour after she went missing, the Journal & Courier reported.

Prosecutors allege Chadwell lured her into his home with the promise that she could pet his dog — and then beat, strangled and sexually assaulted her.

The incident took place about 20 miles from Delphi, where 13-year-old Abigail “Abby” Williams and 14-year-old Liberty “Libby” German were murdered on Feb. 13, 2017.

Investigators believe the eight-graders were abducted by their killer while walking on a local hiking trail. Their bodies were discovered the next day in woods not far from the trail.

No arrests have been made or suspects named in the four years since, and details of how the girls died and their injuries have never been released to the public.

Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby told ABC News on Wednesday that there are “several factors” leading authorities to look for possible links between the two cases — but wouldn’t divulge any details.

Leazenby said investigators are “looking into” Chadwell to see if their might be a connection.

“The information has obviously been shared with us and our investigators are looking into him,” he told local outlet WRTV.

Chadwell isn’t the first alleged kidnapper who has been probed as a person of interest in the Delphi murders. None of the others became official suspects.

He has been charged with with attempted murder, child molesting, attempted child molesting, kidnapping, criminal confinement, battery resulting in serious bodily injury and strangulation.

Catholic priest pleads not guilty to rape, assault charges on minor

BARNSTABLE — The Catholic priest charged with multiple counts of rape pleaded not guilty to all charges Monday during his arraignment in Barnstable Superior Court.

Mark Hession was arraigned on charges including two counts of rape, one count of indecent assault and battery on a child less than 14 and one count of intimidation of a witness. He was released after posting $2,500 cash bail.

Judge Mark Gildea also ordered that Hession’s passport be taken away and that he stay away from the complainant. Hession is due to reappear in court for a pretrial conference on Feb. 24.

Hession, who delivered the homily at the funeral for U.S. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy in 2009, was accused of assaulting a child under 14 with the “intent to commit rape and did commit rape upon such person” on multiple occasions between 2005 and 2008 in Barnstable County, according to redacted indictments.

Hession, who was ordained in 1984, has served at 12 different institutions in the Cape and Fall River areas, including St. Patrick Parish in Wareham, St. Joan of Arc in Orleans, Holy Name in Fall River, St. Mary's Parish in New Bedford, Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, St. Joseph Church in Taunton, Holy Rosary in Fall River, St. Patrick Church in Falmouth, Our Lady of Victory in Centerville, Our Lady of the Assumption in Osterville, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Seekonk and Holy Family in East Taunton, according to the Diocese of Fall River’s list of publicly or credibly accused religious leaders connected to the diocese.

On Jan. 7, the Fall River Diocese published a list of clergy, diocesan and religious leaders connected to the diocese who have been credibly or publicly accused of committing sexual abuse of a minor. Hession, who was placed on the “publicly accused” list, was among many Cape priests listed.

Bishop Edgar Moreira da Cunha had announced in 2019 the diocese’s intention to publish the list.

“To all survivors of child sexual abuse, I am deeply sorry,” da Cunha said in a statement in 2019. “We as a Church failed when you were most vulnerable. I firmly resolve to do all we can to help you heal, make certain we are accountable, and protect our children so that no other child suffers as you have.”

President Joe Biden addressed a joint session of Congress in Washington on Wednesday evening. He made it a point that America and its allies must work closely together against competition from China.

Biden said President Xi Jinping is "deadly earnest on becoming the most significant, consequential nation in the world." The rhetoric from Biden last night is that his administration will continue pressuring China and maintain former President Tump's firm position on Beijing, including tariffs, sanctions, strong defense budget, and heightened military activity in the Pacific.

"We are in competition with China and other countries to win the 21st century," Biden said. "We are at a great inflection point in history. We have to do more than just build back better. … We have to compete more strenuously."

To keep up with China, Biden has ambitions to increase military spending above the past administration. For some context on current military spending, the Pentagon is already spending $740,000,000,000 this fiscal year, $2,000,000,000 every day, $1,000,000 every minute.

Under a Biden administration, U.S. military vessels and surveillance planes directed toward China have increased significantly.

Bloomberg quoted defense Ministry spokesman Senior Colonel Wu Qian at a press conference on Thursday in Beijing, saying activity by U.S. military ships was up 20% and by planes 40% in areas China claims since Biden took office January over the same period last year.

The U.S.' constant deployment of ships and planes to operate in seas and airspace near China has created a more hostile area. Wu also addressed the massive U.S. defense budget with a heavy focus on China, reflecting a "sick psychology."

Even during COVID-19, the U.S. military ramped up its military spending, outpacing much of the world.

Any ‘findings’ will be highly suspect now that chain of custody has been violated by partisan actors,” he added.

If done correctly, no audit is “another step in undermining the confidence in elections”. Sterling simply doesn’t have a clue what he is talking about. If the audit comes back clean, then it would validate the original reporting and would support the election processes to date. If the audit comes back with thousands of fraudulent ballots, then this too would give voters confidence because they would be able to say the process worked.

When he says the process is not transparent he is basically not telling the truth again. This is the most transparent audit in history (This assessment comes from being in the audit field for decades and performing audits around the world.)

The newly appointed judge had another challenging issue yesterday in the Arizona court. One of the presenters who argued for the Democrats’ was a partner at the law firm Judge Martin worked at while Martin was there.

Yesterday morning we reported that the top judge who appointed Judge Martin to the case on either Sunday or Monday is the wife of one of the five Maricopa County Board of Supervisors (MCBOS), Bill Gates. These same Supervisors have done all they could to stop the audit in Maricopa County from ever occurring. It appeared that Bill Gates got the judge he wanted.

A hearing was held yesterday and Judge Dan Martin ended up allowing the audit to continue but demanded the auditors release their audit policies. The policies might be what the Democrats wanted the entire time.

But one thing we noticed in yesterday’s trial was the presentation of an individual in the case. This man worked with Judge Martin in the past at Brown and Bain.

Jonathan Koeppel is a Spanish teacher who exposed an online teaching tool for children called “BrainPOP” that pushes leftist ideologies like “Critical Race Theory.”

CORRECTION: Koeppel is still a teacher at St. Tammany Parish District where the board meeting took place. Koeppel stated he used to work in the St. Bernard district but they never took him off their page until this video started to go viral. St. Bernard district has no involvement with this school board meeting.

The Louisiana teacher appeared before the school board members at St. Tammany Parish to present how the app talks about racism.

The first played video from the app said, “Racism in our society: a built-in system of bias that makes life easier for white people and more difficult for black people and other people of color. It puts them at greater risk for poverty, unemployment, and disease. Structural racism is a factor in some disturbing trends. Black people are nearly six times more likely than whites to be imprisoned, and black men are killed by police more than twice the rate of white men.”

After playing the first video, Koeppel said the app is telling kids, especially black children that they are oppressed by white people and how there’s a system stopping them from having a chance.

“Evil and disgusting stuff in school programs by left wing companies. This is one example, there are many! It’s not just in California, it’s in our own backyards – St Tammany Parish, La. get involved in your community and speak up, be brave,” Koeppel wrote to Facebook when he first posted the video to get his message out early April.

The video started to gain popularity on TikTok which only showed a minute of Koeppels speech slamming the childrens app.

“And some individuals prefer they as a pronoun, like Neat, Orbot. They are my best friends,” is what played from the app discussing pronouns.

“We got kids that can’t read and write and then we’re going to teach them incorrect grammar. I mean, it’s ridiculous. OK, who gave permission to talk about this? There’s two genders. If you’re born with a penis and you have testicles , that’s just anatomy. You’re a male. If you have a vagina and ovaries you’re a female. A man cannot menstruate. A man cannot lactate and breastfeed a child. You cannot give birth if you’re a man. If you want to be an adult and do whatever you want with your life, I’m OK with that. Don’t push this ideology on children,” Koeppel stated.

“I’m not going to work in a district that’s OK with that. You need to make a clear statement on how many genders are there, because parents, they’re already pulling kids out of public school. They’re doing homeschool options. They’re going online. It’s going to increase as this liberal ideology comes into our schools. This isn’t a political indoctrination camp, OK? It’s public education,” Koeppel said in the short clip.

Picacc marks 2nd anniversary by celebrating 373 rescues, 84 arrests

WITHIN two years after its inauguration, the Philippine Internet Crimes Against Children Center (Picacc) made possible the rescue of 373 victims from online sexual exploitation and the arrest of 84 offenders.

The Philippine National Police (PNP), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Australian Federal Police, UK National Crime Agency (NCA), and non-government organization International Justice Mission (IJM) launched Picacc on February 27, 2019 to strengthen global law enforcement collaboration in combating the online sexual exploitation of children.

On April 28, 2021, member agencies marked the center’s second anniversary with a virtual celebration where they looked back on the center’s accomplishments the past two years and welcomed a new member, the National Police of the Netherlands.

Through collaboration within Picacc, the NBI Anti-Human Trafficking Division (Ahtrad) and PNP Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC) have conducted 118 operations, 79 of which took place during the Covid-19 pandemic. Of the 373 victims rescued from online sexual exploitation, more than half were rescued during the pandemic.

During the ceremony, lawyer Janet Francisco, chief of NBI Ahtrad, said: “2020 was hard and dangerous for our frontline law enforcement teams. Yet, looking back, I not only saw the difficulties, but also how our shared vision to see a world where children are free from online exploitation, continue to inspire and compel us to remain disciplined, vigilant, and unrelenting in our work.”

Police Brigadier General Alessandro Abella, chief of PNP WCPC, said: “It takes strong global law enforcement collaboration to end the borderless crime of online sexual exploitation of children – and Picacc has paved the way for this critical step. The impact of our increased collaboration with international counterparts is not only evident in the growing number of operations we have conducted since we formed Picacc. It also lies in every child who is protected with every restrained trafficker and deterred would-be perpetrator. We at PNP, through the Women and Children Protection Center, look forward to stronger and wider collaboration in the coming years, and ultimately, the end of online sexual exploitation of children.”

The privately owned media organization 112 Ukraine, recently banned by the government as 'pro-Russian', reports of a Nazi march in Kiev.

March dedicated to Waffen-SS Division Galicia held in Kyiv

On April 28, about 250 people marched in black embroidered shirts (vyshyvankas) on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of Waffen-SS Division "Galicia" and came on the Independence Square in Kyiv. This was reported by Ukrainian News agency.

The march began near the Arsenalna metro station and ended near Independence Square.

The marching participants carried the emblems of the Galicia division, the flags of the Cossack Sich, the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps, flags with the Sun and the inscription Solaris with a cross inside the letter "o", flags of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN).

The marchers chanted: "Glory to the nation-Death to the enemies", " Glory to Ukraine- Glory to heroes!", "Under the sign of lion!", "Galicia - division of heroes"," Glory to the soldiers of the Ukrainian-Russian war"," One and only free Ukraine!"

Among the them were children. Most of those present were dressed in black embroidered shirts, some in white shirts or military camouflage, and people in plain clothes were also present.

I can not find any 'western' media that reported the march.

Matt Gaetz associate admits both men had sex with teen girl, report says

Joel Greenberg, a longtime associate of Rep. Matt Gaetz, admitted in a letter that both he and the embattled GOP congressman paid for sex — including with a minor, according to a report on Thursday.

The Daily Beast said it obtained three versions of a confession letter that Greenberg apparently wrote last year in an effort to secure a pardon from then-President Donald Trump.

In the handwritten letter, Greenberg allegedly revealed that both he and Gaetz were “involved in sexual activities” with a girl who was 17 at the time.

“From time to time, gas money or gifts, rent or partial tuition payments were made to several of these girls, including the individual who was not yet 18,” he wrote.

Interestingly and perhaps related to this post about PEG sensitivity, Del Bigtree of The HighWire is suggesting based upon comparison of anaphylactic reactions to "COVID" vaccines that are reported to VAERS versus those discovered upon survey of vaccine recipients in a medical system or some such that showed roughly 2.5 per million reported to VAERS versus about 2.5 per 10,000 among surveyed vaccine recipients. Fooking VAERS seems to be off by 2 orders of magnitude, but I need to finish watching vid.

EU Report Accuses Russia, China of Sowing Mistrust in Western Vaccines

BRUSSELS—Russian and Chinese media are systematically seeking to sow mistrust in Western COVID-19 vaccines in their latest disinformation campaigns aimed at dividing the West, a European report said on Wednesday.

From December to April, the two countries’ state media outlets pushed fake news online in multiple languages sensationalizing vaccine safety concerns, making unfounded links between jabs and deaths in Europe and promoting Russian and Chinese vaccines as superior, the EU study said.

The Kremlin and Beijing deny all disinformation allegations by the EU, which produces regular reports and seeks to work with Google, Facebook, Twitter and Microsoft to limit the spread of fake news.

Russian and Chinese vaccine diplomacy “follows a zero-sum game logic and is combined with disinformation and manipulation efforts to undermine trust in Western-made vaccines,” said the EU study released by the bloc’s disinformation unit, part of its EEAS foreign policy arm.

“Both Russia and China are using state-controlled media, networks of proxy media outlets and social media, including official diplomatic social media accounts, to achieve these goals,” the report said, citing 100 Russian examples this year.

The EU and NATO regularly accuse Russia of covert action, including disinformation, to try to destabilize the West by exploiting divisions in society.

“A disinformation report that has no factual basis is in itself an example of disinformation,” the Chinese mission to the EU said in a statement dated Thursday in response to the report.

Russia denies any such tactics and President Vladimir Putin has accused foreign foes of targeting Russia by spreading fake news about the coronavirus.

t’s now been the better part of a month since it broke in the New York Times that Matt Gaetz was being investigated for sex trafficking a minor, and he still has yet to face an on-the-record accusation.

Since then, the minor has morphed into a “former minor”—it turns out she was 18.

Gaetz was also accused of sharing revenge porn of a former girlfriend, including by Katie Hill, whom Gaetz had previously defended in her own revenge porn scandal. Two of that girlfriend’s friends told Politico it wasn’t revenge porn, and that she told them “this is the best I will ever look in my life.”

So the two most dramatic claims of the Gaetz scandal seem to be false, and we are still without an on-the-record accuser. Given Gaetz’s reputation as a playboy, and the leakiness of this investigation, you’d think something substantial might have come out by now.

The girlfriend Gaetz was accused of sharing revenge porn of, according to Politico, also fears the “former minor” was recording calls attempting to incriminate the congressman. It also now appears that Joel Greenberg, the Seminole County tax collector who has been indicted on a slew of charges, was paying for the “former minor’s” legal fees.

Another friend of Greenberg told Politico he thought messages to him involving the “former minor” “felt like a setup.”

So we have two, albeit unnamed, sources who believe Greenberg or the “former minor” he was paying were trying to incriminate them. And that “former minor” he was paying is the one who accounts for the apparently untrue child prostitution allegation.

What does this look like to you?

Greenberg’s lawyer has also pointed the finger at Gaetz, strongly implying the tax collector had flipped on him, saying outside the courthouse recently, “I am sure Matt Gaetz is not feeling very comfortable today.”

It’s a mystery to me, given what this all seems to look like, why Gaetz hasn’t pointed the finger right back at Greenberg.

Up until now, the Joel Greenberg situation and the bizarre scheme to bilk Don Gaetz for $25 million in an Iranian hostage rescue have been considered separate things in the media. I’m not sure why. The note to Matt Gaetz’s father specifically links the two, as do the messages published by TAC that indicate Bob Kent’s friend who works at the Israeli consulate had inside knowledge of the Greenberg investigation before it broke in the New York Times.

There are other aspects of the Bob Levinson rescue business that have so far escaped mention by the media, but are worth considering. Bob Kent, the man at the center of the alleged extortion effort, probably had reason to believe he was operating with at least the implicit sanction of the U.S. government. You don’t go on Chris Cuomo’s show and make reference to an operation to spring a prisoner out of Iran, which would be illegal without USG approval, without it.

The U.S. government’s approval may have been more than just implicit: According to a senior Trump administration official, Kent was approved to receive $75,000 from the State Department for services related to the Bob Levinson case. A State Department spokesperson declined to comment on this.

While we can’t assume the State Department knew about the subsequent $25 million ask, that a federal government contractor is accused of extorting a U.S. congressman is deeply troubling.

A few more points about the background of the Levinson rescue effort are also worth reviewing here. First, as a matter of public record, it isn’t clear that Levinson was or is actually in Iran. Statements from the State Department, including by Hillary Clinton, as well as resolutions from Sen. Marco Rubio, consistently say he’s being held “somewhere in Southwest Asia.” When President Barack Obama discussed the Levinson case with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, an unnamed official close to the investigation told CNN, “We have every reason to believe that he’s alive and that the Iranians control his fate,” which is an odd turn of phrase to use for someone being held in Iran. The partisans of the Levinson rescue effort in the United States will say his lack of inclusion in the 2016 prisoner exchange is just evidence that the Obama administration didn’t really care about him, but it’s hard to square that with the president bringing it up at the highest level.

Second, we should note that the ask to Don Gaetz, in amount ($25 million) and purpose (to get him out of legal trouble in the United States), is identical to the one the FBI approached Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska about in mid-2008. That doesn’t prove it came from the same people, but it’s perhaps a bit suggestive. Deripaska told John Solomon in 2019 that he believed Levinson was dead.
