Shock G. Digital Underground Fame dead at 57

Shock G, producer and frontman of the 1990s hip-hop group Digital Underground and widely known for his alter-ego “Humpty Hump,” has died, according to the group’s co-founder Chopmaster G. Shock’s real name was Gregory Jacobs; his death was confirmed to TMZ by by his father, Edward Racker, although no cause has been cited. He was 57.

Jacobs’ family later issued a statement: “Our son, brother and friend, Gregory Jacobs, also known as Shock G, suddenly passed away today. The cause of death is currently unknown. We truly, truly appreciate all the outpouring of love and concern. Please keep us in your prayers at this very difficult time.”

The Biden administration must understand it is dealing with a government in Tehran deep in survival mode.

For the past two weeks, delegations from the United States and Iran have continued indirect meetings in Vienna to work on a road map for a simultaneous return to compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). The original deal had been struck in 2015 between President Barack Obama's administration and Tehran, hoping to curb Iran's nuclear weapons program it had kept secret for years until the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) first revealed its existence in 2002.

Six years on, the JCPOA's flaws have become universally acknowledged. The parties are having to return to the negotiating table because Iran has not only refused to abandon its nuclear program but has instead accelerated it in recent months to blackmail the international community.

The previous administration called the nuclear agreement a "horrible one-sided deal" and withdrew from the JCPOA in May 2018. It also imposed sanctions on the regime that contributed to the severe weakening of an economy already in shambles thanks to the mullahs' ruinous policies and endemic corruption. The sanctions also led to significant funding shortages for the mullahs' terrorist proxies in the Middle East. Even before the U.S. withdrew from the deal, Tehran was taking steps to breach the agreement. To pressure the new administration to dole out concessions to it, the regime began enriching uranium above the JCPOA thresholds and started to build uranium metal, a material used in nuclear warheads.

In a virtual two-day climate summit hosted by President Joe Biden on Earth Day, world leaders attempted to outdo each other on promises and boasts on tackling climate change. Activist Greta Thunberg warned ahead of the event that world leaders would bring “bullsh*t” to the summit.

As detailed by Sky News, Biden used the two-day climate summit to announce a new target of halving carbon emissions by 2030. Other world leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping, promised to do so in a “much shorter time span.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin bragged about the greater extent of the actions Russia plans to take in tackling climate change. The United Kingdom’s Boris Johnson promised to do as much as the United States. India’s Narendra Modi bragged that India’s carbon footprint is 60 per cent lower than the global average.

Compared with 2005 levels, the United States has pledged to reduce emissions by upwards of 50 per cent by 2030, US climate envoy John Kerry said. Kerry says the goal previously announced by Biden is a more than reasonable target.

"Will we probably wind up exceeding it? I suspect yes," he said. "I'm generally optimistic because so much is beginning to happen."

Efforts to cut America’s carbon emissions include the widespread adoption of electric vehicles and a reduction of emissions caused by manufacturing and power consumption, which are largely driven by the use of fossil fuels in the U.S. The move towards a carbon-neutral or even carbon-negative U.S. economy will be highly contingent on the adoption of renewable energy sources.

Canada has pledged to follow America’s lead by reducing carbon emissions by 40 to 45 per cent compared to 2005 levels by 2030.

In contrast, the U.K. is measuring its target against 1990 levels, a baseline most commonly used by the United Nations — meaning that the U.K. is expected to reduce its carbon emissions by even greater levels than its North American counterparts. Boris Johnson boasted that emissions in the U.K. will be cut by 78 per cent by 2035.

As noted by Sky News, each representative present attempted to try and one-up each other with boasts on their efforts to “build back better.” Notably, Johnson used phrases like “Saudi Arabia of wind” and “First country to legislate for net-zero.”

The “public health policies” allegedly in place to fight Covid19 are being rebranded as “saving the planet”.

Yesterday was Earth Day. The traditional day environmental hashtags temporarily trend across all social media sites. This year was no different, with the exception of the stronger than usual whiff of agenda.

The narrative of the “deadly viral pandemic” is slowly losing momentum. Whether this is through the public having “post viral fatigue”(as it were), or a deliberate shift in media talking points is unclear. But there’s certainly less energy in the story than at this time last year.

That said, it’s also perfectly clear that governments around the world are in no mood to give up their newly acquired “emergency powers”, and that alleged “anti-covid measures” are not going away anytime soon.

Especially lockdowns, which are being freshly marketed as “good for the planet”.

The narrative that locking down the public was “helping the Earth heal” actually dates back to last March, when it was reported all across the world news that only a few weeks of lockdown had cleared up the water in Venician canals so much there were dolphins swimming through the city.

This story later proved to be completely untrue, but that didn’t stop dozens of outlets from picking up the story and running with it.

At various times in the intervening year, Covid has been sold as a having an environmental silver-lining. Including potentially “saving the planet”.

The US government is actually gearing up to share information about the “reality” of UFOs with the public — and not a moment too soon, says the man who claims to have run the Pentagon’s UFO program for 9 years.

Former President Donald Trump’s $2.3 trillion appropriation bill for 2021 contained a mandate that the Pentagon and spy agencies must file a report about “unidentified aerial phenomena” or UAP. Most of us just call them flying saucers or UFOs.

Whatever the jargon, noted whistleblower Luis Elizondo — former head of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, which operated out of the secretive fifth floor of the Pentagon’s C Ring — told The Post about the resulting blockbuster document, which is reportedly slated for release in June.

Tied to the mandate, Elizondo said the upcoming report touches down on the unexplainable. Gas prices creep higher in NJ, around nation

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Gas prices have been creeping higher in New Jersey and around the nation, analysts say.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in New Jersey on Friday was $2.90, up four cents from a week ago. Drivers were paying an average of $2.03 a gallon a year ago at this time.

The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $2.88, up two cents from last week. Drivers were paying an average of $1.79 a gallon a year ago at this time.

Analysts say gas prices seem high compared to the cost a year ago “when most of the country was on lockdown due to the pandemic ... but current prices are on par with what was seen in 2019.”

WASHINGTON — Recognizing the importance electromagnetic warfare will play, the Marine Corps plans to make big investments in new systems.

As part of force design updates the Corps announced for 2030, the service is looking to invest around $1 billion in development over the next five years, Col. Dave Burton, program manager for intelligence systems and portfolio manager for command element systems at Marine Corps Systems Command, said April 21 at the virtual C4ISRNET Conference.

The Corps is enhancing systems for its traditional electronic warfare operators for “peer-to-peer EW engagements,” Burton said.

Broadly speaking, the Marine Corps wants to develop future systems in four categories, according to Lt. Col. Brian Ackerson, branch head for Marine Air Ground Task Force electronic warfare.

First, the Corps is looking for systems that are platform agnostic, Ackerson explained during an Association of Old Crows virtual summit April 13. The Corps doesn’t want systems designed for one platform or system, but rather systems that it can spread around to fit multiple airborne or ground systems.

The service also wants systems that can be widely distributed and scalable. This means a mix of options that are portable by person, vehicle mounted or handheld. This equates to a variety of high- and low-power systems that the Corps can use together across a wide variety of units and systems.

Indonesian submarine that went missing during military drills with 53 on board confirmed sunk – navy

An Indonesian submarine that went missing on Wednesday with 53 crew on board has sunk, the country’s navy has said, adding that there is no hope of finding any survivors.

The submarine, KRI Nanggala 402, disappeared during military drills off the resort island of Bali. Despite international efforts to locate it, the only traces that have been found are an oil spill, along with some minor debris believed to have originated from the vessel.

“With the authentic evidence we found believed to be from the submarine, we have now moved from the ‘sub miss’ phase to ‘sub sunk,’” Navy Chief Yudo Margono said during a press conference on Saturday.

Earlier, Indonesian officials said that the submarine had enough oxygen reserves to survive underwater until at least early on Saturday. While the navy refrained from making any statements on the fate of the crew, the debris recovered – a bottle of periscope grease and parts of a torpedo launcher – suggests the submarine had been crushed.

“We don’t know about the victims’ condition because we haven’t found any of them. So we can’t speculate,” Margono stated. “But with the [discovery] of these items, you can make your own conclusion.”

The submarine disappeared during a dive, going to a depth of over 600 meters (around 2,000 feet). Its depth made recovery impossible, Indonesian officials said earlier this week.

The cause of the sinking remains unknown, with the navy suggesting an electrical failure might have led to the vessel’s demise. The submarine presumably lost its buoyancy and was unable to resurface.

The KRI Nanggala 402 was a 44-year-old vessel, belonging to the German Type 209 family of diesel-electric attack submarines. The depth at which the vessel is believed to have found itself is well beyond its crush mark, as these submarines were tested for diving to only 500 meters (1,600 feet).

Even if the submarine had not sunk to that extreme depth, rescuing people on board would likely have been impossible. The old vessel did not feature a lot of safety instruments, such as an emergency docking collar, that would allow a submersible to dock with the crippled submarine and rescue its crew.

France's top officials have reiterated their pledge to continue fighting terrorism in the aftermath of the killing of a policewoman by a suspected Islamist outside of Paris. A terror inquiry into the incident has been launched.

The murder of the policewoman was an attack on the whole of France, the country’s Prime Minister Jean Castex said on Saturday.

“Once again, the Republic has been attacked. Once again, the French state has been threatened. We will not let this go by,” Castex vowed, as he spoke to reporters from the southern city of Toulouse.

The 49-year-old police administrative worker was fatally stabbed in the city of Rambouillet, located some 60 kilometres southwest of Paris. The perpetrator, a 36-year-old Tunisian national residing in France, was shot by police, succumbing to his wounds shortly afterwards.

The go-ahead statement is based on a recent study by CDC researchers published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Titled ‘Preliminary Findings of mRNA Covid-19 Vaccine Safety in Pregnant Persons’, it suggested that Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines have not proved more harmful for those who are expecting a child. During the vaccines’ preauthorization process, “pregnant persons” were excluded from clinical trials. The updated guidelines for “pregnant people” have been widely reported by US media.

Offering ‘Information about COVID-19 Vaccines for People who Are Pregnant or Breastfeeding’, the CDC has previously cautiously advised people to make a personal choice about receiving a jab, following a consultation with a doctor. The recent “no safety concerns” recommendations are based on preliminary findings from self-reported data. More than 35,000 “persons … identified as pregnant,” from 16 to 54 years old participated in the research, using a smartphone-based tool for US vaccine safety monitoring systems. As Breitbart News reported at the time, the Trump administration started fining illegal aliens up to $500 every day they refused to depart the U.S. In some cases, illegal aliens racked up fines of close to $500,000 for violating federal immigration law.

Mayorkas, in a statement, said DHS has rescinded the use of fines on illegal aliens, claiming the authorized policy is not effective in deterring illegal immigration. DHS stopped issuing the fines on January 20 but had not announced the policy change until Friday.

“There is no indication that these penalties promoted compliance with noncitizens’ departure obligations,” Mayorkas said in a statement. “We can enforce our immigration laws without resorting to ineffective and unnecessary punitive measures.”

In addition, illegal aliens fined by the Trump administration will have their debt cancelled by the Treasury Department, a news release states:

After reviewing detailed data regarding the issuance of such fines since 2018, it was clear to Secretary Mayorkas and Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Tae Johnson that the fines were not effective and had not meaningfully advanced the interests of the agency. ICE intends to work with the Department of Treasury to cancel the existing debts of those who had been fined. [Emphasis added]

The move is only the latest that the Biden administration has undertaken to gut interior immigration enforcement.

Under current enforcement guidelines, DHS is preventing about 9-in-10 deportations with “sanctuary country” orders that have resulted in a 70 percent drop in the number of criminal illegal aliens in federal custody and an 80 percent reduction in arrests of illegal aliens.

Analysis conducted this month predicts that 1.2 million border crossers will be apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border this year, not including those illegal aliens who successfully crossed into the country. This would be a level of illegal immigration not seen since the Great Recession.

Today, there are anywhere between 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the U.S., costing American taxpayers about $134 billion every year.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin approved the extended deployment of the USS Eisenhower aircraft carrier and the deployment of long-range bombers to the Middle East, two of which have already arrived, to provide US forces in Afghanistan protection during the pullout, Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby said on Friday.

US and NATO forces in Afghanistan will withdraw ground forces from the country by May 1 and aim to complete the pullout of all assets by September 11.

"[Austin] has approved some additional measures today, he has approved the extension of USS Eisenhower to remain in the Central Command area of responsibility for a period of time and he has approved the addition of some long-range bombers to be deployed to the region," Kirby said in a press briefing. "Two of those B-52s have arrived in the region."

Kirby said it is possible there can be a temporary increase of US ground forces in Afghanistan to assist in an orderly withdrawal.

US media reported earlier on Friday that the United States is already starting to remove military equipment from Afghanistan. Kirby confirmed the report, adding that equipment will be brought to the United States, deployed to other regions in the world, transferred to the Afghan security forces, or destroyed.

Russian Military Reportedly Creates ‘Dead Zones’ for Enemy Drones and Cruise Missiles

The significance of cruise missiles and drone warfare has become all too apparent in the 21st century, with the United States and its allies in the Middle East regularly using state of the art weapons to launch attacks across Africa, the Middle East and West Asia over the past two decades, mostly against nations without developed air defences.

The Russian military is training to create ‘dead zones’ completely inaccessible to enemy drones, cruise missiles and other precision weapons, Russian media reports, citing military sources.

Sources indicate that the dead zone concept has already been worked out and adopted, and that Electronic Warfare Troops units in several military districts have been practising the concept’s employment through drills. Large-scale exercises at the national level are expected to begin next year.

The military reportedly expects to use the ‘dead zone’ concept to create ‘practically impenetrable defences’ against enemy drones, cruise missiles and other precision fires, and to defend not only army facilities, but social and industrial infrastructure as well.

Electronic Warfare Troops chief Lieutenant-General Yuri Lastochkin confirmed that specialised electronic warfare drills took place in the South-West strategic direction earlier this year, with over 20 units taking part in exercises across 15 ranges, practising the defence of territories in the Western and Southern Military Districts (which include most of Russia’s westernmost territories bordering on Finland, Belarus and Ukraine, including the exclave of Kaliningrad, plus Crimea and the Black Sea Fleet).

The military has been understandably mum about the hardware involved in the ‘dead zone’ concept. However, last week, the Defence Ministry dropped a major hint in a press release indicating the 49th Combined Army of the Southern Military District had carried out its first-ever deployment of the Polye-21M (literally ‘Field-21M’) radio electronic warfare station, with mobile EW units accompanying battalion-sized tactical forces, creating continuous jamming fields up to 50 km wide.

Norway: Risk of Dying From AstraZeneca Higher Than of COVID-19

While waiting for the final decision on the controversial vaccine, Norway has decided to distribute its stock of AstraZeneca to fellow Nordic countries that actually want to use them despite the associated risks.

Norwegians run a greater risk of dying from being inoculated with AstraZeneca's vaccine than from COVID-19, the National Institute of Public Health (FHI) concluded in its analysis, recommending the vaccine, previously linked to serious complications in the form of rare blood clotting and haemorrhage amid low platelet counts.

Abstaining from the vaccine could possibly prevent up to 10 deaths related to side effects, the FHI said, according to the newspaper Verdens Gang.

So far, Norway has seen five cases of serious incidents reported shortly after vaccination, with three fatalities. FHI has calculated the mortality rate from the AstraZeneca vaccine as 2.3 people per 100,000 vaccinated.

The FHI stressed that continuing to inoculate will by contrast expose younger women to an “unreasonably high risk”, given the current relatively levels of infection in Norway.

Furthermore, the institute is against offering the vaccine on a voluntary basis, which has been proposed both in Norway and fellow Scandinavian nations.

“We believe that such an alternative may appear unethical and with a high risk that those who make such a choice have not fully understood the risk to which they are exposed,” the institute said.

The FHI also ventured that recommending the AstraZeneca vaccine for further use could lead to lower confidence among the population in vaccination programmes in general.

“This could lead to a lower vaccination rate and vaccination rate in the long run, and that patients in risk groups will also say no to vaccines.”

A recent survey by the FHI in collaboration with Mindshare and Norstat, indicated that 76 percent of the respondents were sceptical of at least one of the vaccines, even though 82 percent were initially positive about getting vaccinated. Of the vaccines, AstraZeneca gained the highest level of scepticism at 99 percent, compared with Moderna (9 percent) and Pfizer (8 percent).

However, the government believes it is too early to discontinue the vaccine completely, and is instead launching a new expert group to further investigate both AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson, which triggered similar concerns.

Pending a final decision, however, Norway has decided to distribute its stock of AstraZeneca to fellow Nordic countries that actually want to use them.

Of the Norwegian stock, Sweden will borrow 200,000, while 16,000 will go to Iceland.

“If the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine is resumed, we will get back the doses we lend as soon as we request it. Sweden and Iceland will then send back the doses from their first deliveries from AstraZeneca,” Health Minister Bent Høie said, as quoted by Verdens Gang.

The Swedish Public Health Agency has made a different assessment of the AstraZeneca vaccine and has concluded that the benefits of the vaccine outweigh the risks and the side effects.

State epidemiologist Anders Tegnell described the contentious vaccine as having a “high protective effect” and “reducing the risk of serious illness and death, especially among the elderly and weak”.

Russian troops depart Crimea for home bases after exercises, potentially signaling end to border standoff with Ukraine (VIDEO)

A number of Russian military units which were deployed near the tense Ukrainian frontier over recent weeks have now started to return to their regular deployments elsewhere in the country, Moscow’s army chiefs revealed on Friday.

Footage released by the Ministry of Defense showed tanks being loaded onto amphibious landing ships after taking part in exercises on the Crimean coast. Other shots featured soldiers loading armored vehicles for transport.

On Thursday, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu announced that personnel deployed in the west and south of the country had passed a series of readiness checks after being deployed. According to him, “the goals of the sudden inspection have been fully achieved. The troops demonstrated their ability to ensure reliable defense of the country.”

As a result, he has since ordered commanders to “plan and begin the return of the soldiers to their places of regular deployment, beginning from April 23.” By the end of the month, Shoigu said, “the personnel of the 58th Army of the Southern Military District, the 41st Army of the Central Military District, the 7th, 76th Air Assault and 98th Airborne Divisions of the Airborne Forces” will return to their normal bases.

The buildup of manpower and hardware near the border with Ukraine had sparked alarm in Kiev, which suggested the move could be a precursor to a full-blown invasion. Its officials have reached out to the US-led NATO military bloc to step up its presence in the region, and Washington has reportedly been considering an expansion of the weaponry shipped to Ukraine, potentially including missiles and anti-air armaments.

Sen. Johnson presses Capitol Police about disinformation on Officer Sicknick's death

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) recently sent a letter to the acting chief of the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) asking questions about the circumstances surrounding Officer Brian Sicknick's death in light of the recent finding that Sicknick died of natural causes.

Sicknick died after the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, to which he was deployed.

Johnson pointed out that the medical examiner's report concluding that Officer Sicknick died of natural causes after suffering two strokes, unrelated to violence at the riots, is at odds with the Capitol Police original report about his death, which falsely claimed Sickness "due to injuries sustained while on-duty."

Johnson wants to know who knew what and when, as it relates to Officer Sicknick's death:

Officer Sicknick was not struck with a fire extinguisher or did not die from related

injuries, did USCP contact, or attempt to contact, the House impeachment managers to

address the claim in their trial memorandum that stated, “insurrectionists killed a Capitol

Police officer by striking him in the head with a fire extinguisher”?

It remains unclear why the USCP released a statement regarding Officer Sicknick’s cause

of death months before the medical examiner made an official determination. Following USCP’s

claim that Officer Sicknick died “due to injuries sustained while on-duty,” false reports about

those injuries began to emerge.
