What you’re witnessing is essentially the utilization of a LBO (leveraged buy out) strategy to assume control of this Nation (and others) corporately and politically - partnering with sociopathic Politicians and key leaders in sociopolitical and other government institutions who are opening the doors for them legislatively and across international policy reform to do it.

Getting people to wake up to what’s going on has taken significant efforts to counter the narrative warfare in the media, to research and actually see the “opposition’s” corruption become incredibly more blatant in their scheme for overreach of power.

The slander against the Trump administration and stolen election is a big wake up call, as it should be - because it’s a sign that the institutions of government sworn to serve the needs and interests of the People have been inherently BROKEN.

With modern expansion and capital driving people back towards the cities, and corporations (as well as people like Bill Gates who now owns more farmland in America than any single individual) abolishing agricultural communities with “improved” but monopolistic processes aided by government policy, this has become a significant political, economic and geographic threat.

Study California and what they’ve accomplished there with class division and inequality in the state while “projecting” the image of progressivism - it’s sick. The idea that they would make “Company cities” across the United States (which Nevada is already implementing) and other political “feudal” strong holds across all states to eventually do away with the Constitution should seriously concern all Americans who believe in the Constitution and the Republic.

They’re coming after Texas and Florida hard. And they’re doing it in a covert way - going for the capital and assets of companies and high net worth individuals who support the State’s infrastructure utilizing the same fraud/SEC/DOJ slam schemes they’ve utilized against Constitutionally minded high-net worth individuals and Corporations in California, New York and elsewhere.

President Trump’s assets were literally frozen by his bank in Florida and elsewhere.

I implore you to research, and share your research to help educate fellow Americans on the true history and deep dive on the Bush/Clinton dynasty, going back further and digging into the central banking powers with Rockefeller/JP Morgan and all the European ties. Research Big Tech monopolies, Gates, and their Eastern Promises - and study the resultant policy changes over time. Patriots who would connect the dots for you are CENSORED en masse or worse. But look at global cooperation, so blatantly evident with international privileges and institutions who support the insidious destruction of American continuity to reign in the Nation. It was hard to respond to the accusations of Reid’s lawyers against me. Talk about fake!

Here is one. They claim the City of Detroit filed a motion to have me sanctioned and disbarred! What? I have never been served with any such motion. And it would be impossible for the Michigan court to sanction me since I did not seek pro hac vice privileges in the Michigan lawsuit. I was not counsel of record and played no role in the drafting and filing of that complaint which concerned the election fraud which clearly occurred in Michigan in the November 2020 election.

I am informed that a motion was in fact filed by the City of Detroit against some lawyers (but not against me as a respondent). Detroit intervened in the case for the sole purpose of filing the sanctions motion. Crazy. An entity not a party intervenes to assert a sanctions motion in a case not even filed against it? Is Detroit corrupt or what?!?

Reid claims that the motion states that “Sidney Powell and I have blood on our hands.” What?

Errant nonsense.

But it sure does make for a great headline to be published as propaganda to smear Sidney and me in the fake propaganda media.

But a lie is a lie. And a lie repeated a thousand times is still a lie.

But some people get brainwashed into believing the lie if they read it too many times.

Bartiromo took the interview to break with the former trade adviser and she followed up on Navarro’s report that suggests Barr was working with Biden and working at cross-purposes with Trump.

“The problem I told Barr about numerous times, and yeah, he should have been fired months before he was, by the last year of this administration,” said Navarro. “By the last year of this administration, he was really working against this administration in a lot of ways.”

“Wow,” Bartiromo exclaimed.

“And these executive orders, the bottleneck was at the Department of Justice, on so many things we did,” Navarro went on. “You see what President Biden is doing now, he’s just unwinding things that are going to come back to haunt the American worker, bigtime.”

There you have it. There was a reason that Bill Barr slunk into the shadows in the last year of the Trump administration. He was working at cross-purporses to the Trump administration and was in cahoots with the Biden administration. It makes perfect sense.

Elon Musk says Neuralink could start implanting chips in human brains ‘later this year

A goal of Neuralink, Elon Musk has previously said, is to help paralyzed patients easily interact with their cellphones or computers by implanting the brain chip.

Elon Musk says that his neurotechnology company Neuralink could be launching human trials “later this year.”

Musk shared the news in response to a Twitter user who said he’d be willing to participate in the human trials, which would implant an artificial intelligence chip in humans’ brains in hopes they could control technology just by thinking.

“I was in a car accident 20 years ago and have been paralyzed from the shoulders ever since. I’m always available for clinical studies at @Neuralink,” Twitter user Hamoon Kamai wrote to Musk on Sunday.

“Neuralink is working super hard to ensure implant safety & is in close communication with the FDA. If things go well, we might be able to do initial human trials later this year,” the Tesla CEO replied on Monday.

Neuralink’s goal is also to help paralyzed patients easily interact with their cellphones or computers by implanting the brain chip, Musk previously said.

The company began testing its chip on animals over the summer and used a pig for its experiment.

Musk recently went on the audio-streaming app Clubhouse, where he said Neuralink has implanted the brain chip in a monkey and that it can play video games with its mind.

“We’ve already got a monkey with a wireless implant in their skull, and the tiny wires, who can play video games using his mind,” the billionaire tech entrepreneur said.

“One of the things we’re trying to figure out is, can we have the monkeys play mind-Pong with each other?” Musk added. “That would be pretty cool.”

Next week, I’m starting at Facebook, where I’ll be helping to lead global threat intelligence strategy against influence operations.

I’m very excited to join one of the best IO teams in the world to study, catch and get ahead of the known players and emerging threats.

As a community - platforms, researchers and journalists - we’ve all come a long way since the dawn of this field of research.

Collectively, we’ve got better at detecting IO early, especially when they target major events like elections.

Secondary Infektion started with a Facebook takedown; it ended up being exposed for attempted interference in the 2019 UK election.

There were attempts at foreign interference in the US election in 2020, too, but they were caught early and exposed fast.

But to keep it that way, we need to keep getting better, because we know IO actors will evolve.

Just look at how many are using AI-generated profile pics, thinking it’ll help them hide.

Or using cutouts and co-opting authentic voices to amplify their ops.

(On the AI point, one of the ground-breaking moments we had at Graphika was investigating our first op that used large-scale generation of AI profile pics, in late 2019.

Naming it was fun, too.)

So the next challenge is: how do we all keep ahead, and make the environment less and less hospitable for influence operations?

There are great teams out there working on this. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved with the

teams over the years, and all our friends and colleagues in this field.

They remain crucial voices.

But the people who can make the most difference in tackling IO are the platforms themselves, including by driving collaboration with researchers and journalists.

And when it comes to detecting and exposing IO, the Facebook team’s leading the way.

I’m delighted to join that team and work with some of the world’s top investigators, not just to detect the current threats, but to find ways to get ahead of future ones.

Facebook has deleted all of my posts from July 2017 to last week because I am, apparently, a Russian Bot. For a while I could not add any new posts either, but we recently found a way around that, at least for now. To those of you tempted to say “So what?”, I would point out that over two thirds of visitors to my website arrive via my posting of the articles to Facebook and Twitter. Social media outlets like this blog, which offer an alternative to MSM propaganda, are hugely at the mercy of these corporate gatekeepers.

Facebook’s plunge into censorship is completely open and admitted, as is the fact it is operated for Facebook by the Atlantic Council – the extreme neo-con group part funded by NATO and whose board includes serial war criminal Henry Kissinger, Former CIA Heads Michael Hayden and Michael Morrell, and George Bush’s chief of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff, among a whole list of horrors.

The staff are worse than the Board. Their lead expert on Russian bot detection is an obsessed nutter named Ben Nimmo, whose fragile grip on reality has been completely broken by his elevation to be the internet’s Witchfinder-General. Nimmo, grandly titled “Senior Fellow for Information Defense at the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab”, is the go-to man for Establishment rubbishing of citizen journalists, and as with Joseph McCarthy or Matthew Clarke, one day society will sufficiently recover its balance for it to be generally acknowledged that this kind of witch-hunt nonsense was not just an aberration, but a manifestation of the evil it claimed to fight.

There is no Establishment cause Nimmo will not aid by labeling its opponents as Bots. This from the Herald newspaper two days ago, where Nimmo uncovers the secret web of Scottish Nationalist bots that dominate the internet, and had the temerity to question the stitch-up of Alex Salmond.

Nimmo’s proof? 2,000 people had used the hashtag #Dissolvetheunion on a total of 10,000 tweets in a week. That’s five tweets per person on average. In a week. Obviously a massive bot-plot, eh?

When Ben’s great expose for the Herald was met with widespread ridicule, he doubled down on it by producing his evidence – a list of the top ten bots he had uncovered in this research. Except that they are almost all, to my certain knowledge, not bots but people. But do not decry Ben’s fantastic forensic skills, for which NATO and the CIA fund the Atlantic Council. Ben’s number one suspect was definitely a bot. He had got the evil kingpin. He had seen through its identity despite its cunning disguise. That disguise included its name, IsthisAB0T, and its profile, where it called itself a bot for retweets on Independence. Thank goodness for Ben Nimmo, or nobody would ever have seen through that evil, presumably Kremlin-hatched, plan.

No wonder the Atlantic Council advertise Nimmo and his team as “Digital Sherlocks”

Nimmo’s track record is simply appalling. In this report for the Atlantic Council website, he falsely identified British pensioner @Ian56789 as a “Russian troll farm”, which led to Ian being named as such by the British government, and to perhaps the most surreal Sky News interview of all time. Perhaps still more remarkably, Nimmo searches for use of the phrase “cui bono?” in reference to the Skripal and fake Douma chemical weapons attacks. Nimmo characterises use of the phrase cui bono as evidence of pro-Assad and pro-Kremlin bots and trolls – he really does. Most people would think to consider cui bono indicates a smattering more commonsense than Nimmo himself displays.

It is at least obvious cui bono from Nimmo’s witchfinding – the capacious, NATO and CIA stuffed pockets of Ben Nimmo himself. That Facebook allows this utterly discredited neo-conservative charlatan the run of its censorship operations needs, given Facebook’s pivotal role in social media intercourse, to concern everybody. The freedom of the internet is under fundamental attack.

COVID-19 Vaccine: What is an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA)?

An Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) is a mechanism to facilitate the availability and use of medical countermeasures, including vaccines, during public health emergencies, such as the current COVID-19 pandemic. Paris — Four environmental groups are crying victory after France was found guilty of failing to meet climate change goals it committed to in a historic accord signed in and named after its own capital city. The Administrative Tribunal in Paris ruled Wednesday that France had fallen short of its promise to reduce greenhouse gases under commitments made in the 2015 Paris Agreement, and was "responsible for ecological damage."

While the court declared the government guilty of inaction, it rejected a claim for damages by the four NGOs that brought the suit, ordering the government to pay just one symbolic euro to them instead. The tribunal also said it would decide within two months whether to recommend any measures for the government to resolve its failure to meet its own commitments.

In January, the court called the proceedings the "first major climate trial in France."

Marco Rubio Brings Back Bill Making it Tougher for Suspected Terrorists to Buy Guns

Last week, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., brought back his bill to make it tougher for suspected terrorists to buy guns.

Rubio reintroduced the “Terror Intelligence Improvement Act” which, his office insisted, will “make it harder for suspected terrorists to purchase firearms” and “provide more authority for law enforcement agencies to go after suspected terrorists, while safeguarding law-abiding citizens’ Second Amendment and due process rights.” The Florida Republican has pushed the proposal in recent years with little success.

“After the terrorist attack at Pulse nightclub, I made a promise to improve our laws to make it more difficult for evil people to get ahold of guns,” Rubio said last week. “This bill is a common-sense measure that would help ensure criminals, terrorists, and others seeking to take innocent lives are not able to acquire firearms, while also protecting the due process and Second Amendment rights of innocent, law-abiding Americans.”

The bill would “consolidate all federal terrorism investigation intelligence under the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), strengthening the FBI’s capabilities and making sure dangerous individuals do not fall through the cracks” and have the FBI director and the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) notified immediately when an “individual who was the subject of a federal terrorism investigation within the last 10 years” tries to buy a gun.

When people who were investigated for terrorism try to buy a gun, the bill would “allow the U.S. attorney general to delay the purchase or transfer for up to ten business days and file an emergency petition in court to prevent the transfer.” If the court finds the individual still has ties to terrorists, the bill would allow the attorney general to arrest the suspect.

The bill also seeks to “protect the due process rights of law-abiding Americans by ensuring emergency petitions filed by the attorney general are only granted if the transferee receives notice of the hearing and has the opportunity to participate with legal counsel” and would permit the “Inspector General of the Intelligence Community (ICIG) to conduct an audit of the federal government’s terrorism screening and watch list procedures, and identify any problems in the processes of adding or removing individuals from the system.”

Rubio’s bill was sent to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday. So far, there are no cosponsors. There is no companion bill over in the U.S. House.

A gauge of global stock markets set another record high on Monday and oil prices rose to their highest in just over a year as investor optimism grew that U.S. lawmakers will soon pass a $1.9 trillion COVID-19 aid package. Investors were keeping an eye on bitcoin as it rose again, with Elon Musk promising Tesla Inc would soon take payment for its electric vehicles in the currency and revealing it had already bought $1.5 billion worth of it.

Benchmark U.S. Treasury yields surged to 11-month highs as the U.S. fiscal stimulus was seen boosting economic growth and raising inflation more quickly than expected, and before the Treasury Department sells new longer-dated debt.

Major U.S. stock indexes hit record highs in early New York trading, extending a recent streak of gains.

Comments on Sunday by U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, who said that if Congress approves the $1.9 trillion plan, the country would get back to full employment next year, added to the optimism.

Congress on Friday approved a budget plan that would allow a coronavirus relief bill to muscle through in the coming weeks without Republican support.

“We now have a situation where the Democrats do not need Republican approval in order to move ahead with the full $1.9 trillion stimulus package,” said Thomas Hayes, managing member at Great Hill Capital LLC in New York.

Stocks gained even after news that South Africa had halted the rollout of AstraZeneca’s vaccine after a study showed it gave only limited protection against the country’s more contagious variant of the coronavirus. The pan-European STOXX 600 index rose 0.42% and MSCI’s gauge of stocks across the globe gained 0.47%. The MSCI index hit its ninth record high of 2021 overnight.

Brent oil surpassed $60 a barrel. Brent was up 68 cents, or 1.2%, at $60.02, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate rose 68 cents, or 1.2%, to $57.53. The dollar was flat to slightly lower in choppy trading, holding its ground against a basket of major currencies as investors continued to price in a faster U.S. recovery than in most countries. The dollar index rose 0.057%, with the euro down 0.03% to $1.2038.

Benchmark 10-year Treasury notes last rose 5/32 in price to yield 1.155%, from 1.17% late on Friday.

Banxico Plans to Finance Banks That Can’t Dispose of Dollars

Mexico’s central bank is set to announce Monday that it will lend money to local banks that can’t find U.S. financial institutions to take their stashes of bulk cash in dollars, according to a draft of a statement seen by Bloomberg News.

The pledge to help Mexican banks is part of a raft of new measures to be announced by finance officials to help migrants access banking services and get better exchange rates for dollars they bring home. “Banco de Mexico will provide facilities to credit institutions that have difficulty repatriating dollars in cash, through guaranteed contingent financing, under the terms and conditions determined by the central bank,” according to the draft statement, which did not provide further details. The central bank declined to comment on the new measures. As the statement is still in draft form, final details could change. Finance officials are set to present the plan as an alternate solution to a bill passed by Mexico’s Senate that would force the central bank to purchase dollars from local lenders who cant find correspondent banks in the U.S. that want to work with them. The central bank argued the measure could force it to take dollars of dubious origin and open it up to money laundering sanctions from U.S. authorities.

Billionaire Ricardo Salinas, the owner of Banco Azteca, was the only top banker to publicly back the bill by arguing that Mexican banks had some of the strictest controls in the world. Global lenders operating in Mexico have opposed the bill, which hasn’t been approved by the lower house. Central Bank Governor Alejandro Diaz de Leon, Finance Minister Arturo Herrera and Luis Nino, head of the Mexican banking association and the chairman of the board of Banco Azteca are set to announce the new measures later on Monday. The plan also includes using President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s Banco de Bienestar, or Wellbeing Bank, to help migrants open Mexico accounts from the U.S., as well as other measures so they can change dollars at a better rate.

The Banco de Bienestar declined a request for comment.

New Bill Would Essentially Criminalize Private Gun Ownership in the United States

A new bill that has been proposed by Sheila Jackson Lee, the pedo jewelry wearing congresswoman (D-TX) would effectively criminalize private gun ownership throughout the United States. H.R. 127, also referred to as the Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act, would be the most radical gun control reform that the United States has ever seen if passed. The bill is named in memory of Sabika Sheik, a Pakistani foreign exchange student that died in a school shooting in 2018.

Requiring a license to own any firearm or ammunition

Requiring a 24 hour class to be certified with a firearm

Raising the age to purchase a firearm to 21

North Korea cyberattacks gained $300m in cryptocurrency: UN panel

North Korea has been launching dozens of cyberattacks on cryptocurrency exchanges and companies in the defense sector to obtain foreign currencies and military information, according to a draft report by a UN expert panel.

The draft, obtained by Nikkei, shows that North Korea stole an estimated total of $316 million in 2019 and 2020 through cyberattacks on cryptocurrency exchanges - a clear sign the country continues to try and sidestep international sanctions even during the coronavirus pandemic. The draft, submitted to the Security Council's North Korea Sanctions Committee reviewing the implementation of the measures on the isolated country, is to be made public after discussion and revisions by Security Council board member nations. The report will have no binding powers but could be referred to by the Security Council or member nations when imposing new sanctions on North Korea.

The country continues to obtain cryptocurrencies in illegal ways, the draft said. In September 2020, a cryptocurrency exchange company was hacked and $218 million worth of cryptocurrency was stolen. In two cases of hacking that targeted cryptocurrency exchanges, North Korea used a technique known as "chain hopping" - which makes it harder to track down stolen currencies by exchanging one cryptocurrency for another. The draft also revealed that North Korea changed cryptocurrencies through traders in China. Amounts stolen amounted to $272,000 in the first of the two cases and $2.5 million in the second.

North Korean authorities carried out the cyberattacks using social networking services for businesses and approached personnel in companies related to the defense sector, where the attackers impersonated human resource officers in the sector, the draft suggested. The process involved earning trust through phone conversations and text messages and then sending emails with malware attached to them.

Over a month ago, we correctly predicted today's "shock" announcement by Tesla, in which Elon Musk's company decided to pivot once again, this time into the word of cryptocurrencies, by purchasing $1.5 billion in bitcoin (an amount which will give it tremendous leeway in non-GAAP financial when accounting for XBT Mark-to-Market moves, giving it even more buffer to beat estimates).

Discussing the major US companies which we expected would announce shifts away from dollar-based cash into bitcoin, we said "one such company which we are convinced will announce it is converting billions of its existing cash into bitcoin, is none other than Tesla, whose CEO Elon Musk was urged by MSTR CEO Saylor to make a similar move with Tesla’s money. ATLANTA — The Georgia Secretary of State’s office has opened an investigation on former U.S. President Donald, over allegations that Trump attempted to overturn the state’s 2020 election results, Reuters reports.

The investigation is in response to Trump’s January 2nd phone call in which he pressed Raffensperger to ‘find’ votes.

“I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state,” Trump said in the phone call leaked by The Washington Post.

“The Secretary of State’s office investigates complaints it receives,” Communications Manager for Voter Education Walter Jones told Reuters. Adding, the investigation is “fact finding and administrative.”

“Any further legal efforts will be left to the attorney general,” Jones said.

South Korea regulator not probing Hyundai executives' share sales

South Korea’s financial markets watchdog, the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS), is not currently investigating Hyundai Motor executives’ sales of shares in the automaker, a regulatory official said on Tuesday. The official made the statement after some retail investors’ expressed concerns in online stock forums over the possibility of insider trading by Hyundai executives who sold shares in recent weeks. Reports of possible cooperation between Hyundai and tech giant Apple on a self-driving electric vehicle that emerged early in January sent Hyundai stock sharply higher.

The official said the regulator would need more facts to support speculation circulating on retail investor forums before considering an investigation. The official declined to be identified as he was not authorised to speak to media. Hyundai did not have comment on the matter when reached by Reuters. The company said on Monday it is not now in talks with Apple on autonomous vehicles, just a month after it confirmed early-stage talks with the tech giant. Shares in Hyundai jumped 21% between the initial confirmation and Monday’s announcement that the project was off.

More than 10 Hyundai executives sold shares between the first media report on a potential Apple-Hyundai tieup and the news that the pair are not now in talks about autonomous vehicles, according to regulatory filings.

For the past 30 years, police departments throughout the United States have benefitted from the government’s largesse in the form of military weaponry and training, incentives offered in the ongoing “War on Drugs.” For the average citizen watching events such as the intense pursuit of the Tsarnaev brothers on television, it would be difficult to discern between fully outfitted police SWAT teams and the military.

The lines blurred even further Monday as a new dynamic was introduced to the militarization of domestic law enforcement. By making a few subtle changes to a regulation in the U.S. Code titled “Defense Support of Civilian Law Enforcement Agencies” the military has quietly granted itself the ability to police the streets without obtaining prior local or state consent, upending a precedent that has been in place for more than two centuries.

The most objectionable aspect of the regulatory change is the inclusion of vague language that permits military intervention in the event of “civil disturbances.” According to the rule:

Federal military commanders have the authority, in extraordinary emergency circumstances where prior authorization by the President is impossible and duly constituted local authorities are unable to control the situation, to engage temporarily in activities that are necessary to quell large-scale, unexpected civil disturbances.

Bruce Afran, a civil liberties attorney and constitutional law professor at Rutgers University, calls the rule, “a wanton power grab by the military,” and says, “It’s quite shocking actually because it violates the long-standing presumption that the military is under civilian control.”

A defense official who declined to be named takes a different view of the rule, claiming, “The authorization has been around over 100 years; it’s not a new authority. It’s been there but it hasn’t been exercised. This is a carryover of domestic policy.” Moreover, he insists the Pentagon doesn’t “want to get involved in civilian law enforcement. It’s one of those red lines that the military hasn’t signed up for.” Nevertheless, he says, “every person in the military swears an oath of allegiance to the Constitution of the United States to defend that Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.”

Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund warned the Congress six times about the high risk of impending attacks on the capitol building before the January 6th “insurrection.”

“Perfect hindsight does not change the fact that nothing in our collective experience or our intelligence – including intelligence provided by FBI, Secret Service, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and D.C. Metropolitan Police (MPD) – indicated that a well-coordinated, armed assault on the Capitol might occur on Jan. 6,” Sund wrote. The letter was first obtained by the NY Times.

This intelligence, given at least three days prior to the attack, indicates that the pre-planned riot could not have been “incited” by former President Trump’s speech. Thus, impeachment claims to this point are moot and are fallacious cases of post hoc ergo propter hoc reasoning, which means “after this, therefore because of this.”

Sund’s intelligence explicitly named violent left-wing extremist group Antifa as a “expected” to participate.

“Members of the Proud Boys, white supremacist groups, Antifa, and other extremist groups were expected to participate in the Jan. 6 event and that they may be inclined to become violent,” he wrote.

“This was very similar to the intelligence assessment of the Dec. 12, 2020, MAGA II event.” Sund says there was a “limited amount of violence and/or injuries to officers, and a limited number of arrests.”

“Having previously handled two major post-election demonstrations successfully utilizing an action plan that was based on intelligence assessments that had proven to be credible, reliable, and accurate, we reasonably assumed the intelligence assessment for Jan. 6, 2021, was also correct,” he added.

Knife-Wielding Tennessee Man Shot to Death During Robbery ‘Prank’ for YouTube

Timothy Wilks, a 20-year-old YouTube creator, was shot on Friday night during an alleged robbery “prank” in Old Hickory, Tennessee.

Wilks and his friend brought butcher knives to the Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park parking lot on Old Hickory Boulevard at approximately 9:20 p.m., allegedly intending to record themselves faking a robbery for YouTube. As they approached a group of people with their weapons, 23-year-old David Starnes Jr. allegedly drew his gun and fired, killing Wilks.

The alleged shooter has claimed he was unaware of the prank and acted in self-defense, according to a statement released by Nashville police. The homicide unit is still investigating the shooting and thus far no charges have been filed.

Urban Air customer Emily questioned the idea of such a dangerous prank, especially in such a populated area. “This is like, a huge kids area, and when we were in there, there were a ton of tiny kids and it’s just like, that would not be a great idea. Especially if anyone was walking out here, or something like that,” she told local news station WKRN.

“Pranks” like these have made headlines before. In 2020, TikTok stars Alan and Alex Strokes were charged after dressing in black, donning ski masks, and carrying duffel bags to allegedly make it look as if they had just robbed a bank while they tried to get an Uber. They face charges including one felony count of false imprisonment effected by violence, menace, fraud, or deceit and one misdemeanor count of falsely reporting an emergency.

“These were not pranks,” Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said at the time. “These are crimes that could have resulted in someone getting seriously injured or even killed.”

Myanmar's military government rejects US request to speak to Aung San Suu Kyi

The Myanmar military government on Tuesday disallowed US request to speak to Aung San Suu Kyi amid protests in the country over the coup which took place last Monday.

State Department spokesman Ned Price said: "We stand with the people of Burma and support their right to assemble peacefully, including to protest peacefully in support of the democratically elected government."

"We are of course very concerned about the military's recent announcement restricting public gatherings," Price added. The country's military government has imposed a banned five people gatherings and put a nighttime curfew in several areas including Yangon.

"We made an effort to reach out to Aung San Suu Kyi. We did that both informally and formally," Price said, adding, "Those requests were denied."

There have been large scale protests across the country over the military rule imposed last week which started last weekend and continued on Monday as protesters called for a return to democracy.

Meanwhile, the UN Human Rights Council said it will hold a special session to discuss the Myanmar crisis even as several world leaders expressed their displeasure with the military rule.

The Myanmar military hasn't revealed the whereabouts of detained civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi and has detained several other leaders from her National League for Democracy(NLD) party.

Amid the large scale criticism, Myanmar's army chief General Min Aung Hlaing said that the democratic leaders were removed after "voter fraud" while stating that power will be handed back after elections.

The military has imposed one year state of emergency in the country and imposed martial law in some parts of Mandalay, Yangon and other towns amid protests in the country.

Like all vaccines, viral vector vaccines for COVID-19 will be rigorously tested for safety before being authorized or approved for use in the United States.

Vaccines of this type have been well-studied in clinical trials, and viral vector vaccines have been used to respond to recent Ebola outbreaks.

Viral vector vaccines use a modified version of a different virus as a vector to deliver instructions, in the form of genetic material (a gene), to a cell. The vaccine does not cause infection with either COVID-19 or the virus that is used as the vector.

The genetic material delivered by the viral vector does not enter the cell nucleus and does not integrate into a person’s DNA.

A Vehicle for Vaccine Delivery

Many vaccines use a weakened or inactivated form of the target pathogen to trigger an immune response. Viral vector vaccines use a different virus as a vector instead, which delivers important instructions (in the form of a gene) to our cells. For COVID-19 vaccines, a modified virus delivers a gene that instructs our cells to make a SARS-CoV-2 antigen called the spike protein. A Closer Look at How COVID-19 Viral Vector Vaccines Work

In the development of viral vector vaccines, several different viruses have been used as vectors, including influenza, vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV), measles virus, and adenovirus, which causes the common cold. Adenovirus is one of the viral vectors used in some late-stage COVID-19 vaccine trials.

In viral vector vaccines, a gene unique to the virus being targeted is added to the viral vector. For COVID-19 vaccines, this gene codes for the spike protein, which is only found on the surface of SARS-CoV-2. The viral vector is used to shuttle this gene into a human cell. Once inside a cell, the viral vector uses this gene and the cell’s machinery to produce the spike protein and display it on the cell’s surface.

Once displayed on the cell’s surface, the protein (or antigen) causes the immune system to begin producing antibodies and activating T-cells to fight off what it thinks is an infection. These antibodies are specific to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which means the immune system is primed to protect against future infection.

Gene therapy put on hold as third child develops cancer

Small but important: researchers hope that changes to a gene vector will reduce risks to patients.

Scientists have halted clinical trials of gene therapy to treat a rare immune disorder — less than a year after the trials were relaunched following an earlier stoppage.

The trials use gene therapy to treat different forms of severe combined immunodeficiency disease (SCID). The first trial to be stopped was halted in October 2002, and other trials were halted three months later, after two children in the trials developed cancer. But authorities allowed them to resume during the past year because the treatment had cured many children who lack reliable alternative treatments.

Researchers have now halted the trials again, after a third patient was found to have developed cancer. The suspension is a significant setback for the nascent field of gene therapy, because SCID treatment has been its most promising application to date.

The child with cancer was a patient of Alain Fischer of the Necker Hospital in Paris. He has been using gene therapy to treat the X-linked form of SCID, which is otherwise only treatable with bone-marrow transplant and is still often fatal. Fischer's trial restarted last May, and his team has treated one child since then.

But on 24 January, the French medical regulatory authority AFSSPS announced that a child who was treated by Fischer in April 2002 now has cancer.

As a result, Fischer's trial and similar ones in the United States have been halted again. The agency also said that one of the original two patients who had been diagnosed with cancer — both of whom were in Fischer's trial — died last October.

Fischer is now investigating why the third child, who was treated at a later age than the previous two children, developed cancer. The child's cells did not seem to have the same genetic glitch that caused the first two cancers, he says, but he cautions that the analysis is still under way.

Fischer adds that he still believes in gene therapy as a treatment for X-linked SCID, because 15 children treated in this way are still alive, and 14 are doing well four years later. But his group will not treat any more children using its current gene-therapy system, he says. He adds that he plans to change a key step in the treatment by changing the vector — the modified virus that delivers the therapeutic gene to the patients.

“The efficacy is there, but we have to improve on the safety,” Fischer says, adding that this is “not an uncommon situation” in medical research.

Kamala Harris made a joke of killing the president of the United States, the vice president of the United States, and the attorney general of the United States. She laughed. She thought it was funny. Scientific research has produced substantial social benefits. It has also posed some troubling ethical questions. Public attention was drawn to these questions by reported abuses of human subjects in biomedical experiments, especially during the Second World War. During the Nuremberg War Crime Trials, the Nuremberg code was drafted as a set of standards for judging physicians and scientists who had conducted biomedical experiments on concentration camp prisoners. This code became the prototype of many later codes[1] intended to assure that research involving human subjects would be carried out in an ethical manner.

The codes consist of rules, some general, others specific, that guide the investigators or the reviewers of research in their work. Such rules often are inadequate to cover complex situations; at times they come into conflict, and they are frequently difficult to interpret or apply. Broader ethical principles will provide a basis on which specific rules may be formulated, criticized and interpreted.

Three principles, or general prescriptive judgments, that are relevant to research involving human subjects are identified in this statement. Other principles may also be relevant. On Wednesday morning, November 4th President Trump was ahead of Joe Biden in the swing state of Michigan by over 100,000 votes.

Today we have more video proof of the Biden ballot dump.

Detroit city official Chris Thomas signed an affidavit admitting to one late-night ballot dump at the TCF Center. Thomas said 41 boxes of ballots were delivered.

'This was a lie. The Gateway Pundit has video proof that the van made two ballot drops at the TCF Center. We also have proof that over 60 boxes of ballots were unloaded at the arena in just the first ballot dump. '

And we also have a video that the white van was escorted by a suspicious vehicle.

A black Hyundai Elantra also drove into the TCF Center in the early morning on November 4th.

The Gateway Pundit was able to identify the vehicle. It was registered in Pennsylvania and then registered in Michigan in October. The car had a new title but they kept the old Pennsylvania plates on the car. We believe the vehicle is registered to Enterprise rent-a-car.

We now know that the source for the mainstream media reports, Chris Thomas, has not been truthful at all in his legal affidavits.

We also know the local officials and their far-left media lackeys keep changing their story — while our reports have remained consistent and correct.

And we also know these ballots came into the center without the proper chain of custody documentation.

These ballots should have been disqualified.

Yesterday, reporters at the Washington Post provided important new information about the insidious machinations of high frequency traders’ efforts to rig U.S. markets in their favor. WaPo reporters Douglas MacMillan and Yeganeh Torbati revealed the following:

“Hedge funds have started to build algorithms or hire outside firms that specialize in scanning conversations on Reddit and Twitter for clues about what retail traders are thinking. Several of these services, with names like Swaggy Stocks, Robintrack and Quiver Quantitative, popped up in the past two years…

“Last year, prominent hedge funds including Point72, D.E. Shaw, Two Sigma and Capital Fund Management were all found to be siphoning trading data from a popular app called Robintrack, which collected information on which stocks users of Robinhood bought and sold. Casey Primozic, the programmer who created the now-defunct app, tweeted his finding in May that he had traced large volumes of traffic back to servers that appeared to belong to those firms.”

This is the latest chapter in the long running saga of how Congress, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Justice Department are allowing high frequency traders to fleece the public under the pretext of providing liquidity to markets. It was almost seven long years ago that bestselling author Michael Lewis, a former veteran of Wall Street, went on 60 Minutes to promote his new book, Flash Boys, and told approximately 12 million viewers that “stock market’s rigged.” Lewis called high frequency trading by hedge funds “legalized front running,” where traders use high speed computers and algorithms to obtain an early peek at stock prices and what other investors are doing. News about the book and the 60 Minutes interview went viral around the world. Congress quickly assembled a series of hearings.

The question was, should high frequency traders’ ability to get information ahead of the general public be considered an illegal form of insider trading. One of the high frequency trading firms mentioned in the Lewis book was Virtu, which is currently paying for order flow from online brokerage firms like Robinhood. Lewis wrote:

“In early 2013, one of the largest high-frequency traders, Virtu Financial, publicly boasted that in five and a half years of trading it had experienced just one day when it hadn’t made money, and that the loss was caused by ‘human error.’ In 2008, Dave Cummings, the CEO of a high-frequency trading firm called Tradebot, told university students that his firm had gone four years without a single day of trading losses. This sort of performance is possible only if you have a huge informational advantage.”

During a June 18, 2014 hearing by the Senate Banking Subcommittee on Securities, Insurance and Investment, Senator Elizabeth Warren sized up what Virtu was doing as follows:

“For me the term high frequency trading seems wrong. You know this isn’t trading. Traders have good days and bad days. Some days they make good trades and they make lots of money and some days they have bad trades and they lose a lot of money. But high frequency traders have only good days.

The New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq and others are aiding and abetting this scam by allowing high frequency trading firms to co-locate their computers next to those of the stock exchanges to gain faster access to trading data ahead of what the public sees. They charge expensive fees that the general public could never afford. Congress took testimony on this following the release of the Lewis book but has allowed it to continue.

Lincoln Project’s avowed ignorance of Weaver texts undercut by leaked internal communications

The Lincoln Project’s leaders, amid the unfolding scandal of co-founder John Weaver soliciting sexual favors from young men, have asserted they were unaware of his indiscretions until last month, but electronic communications obtained by the Washington Blade call that claim into question and suggest some Lincoln Project executives knew about the texts as early as last summer, but took no substantive action in response.

The communications with Lincoln Project officials undermine the assertion that “there was no awareness or insinuations of any type of inappropriate behavior when we became aware of the chatter at the time,” as co-founder Steve Schmidt told The New York Times last month. These electronic messages, which date back to August 2020 and include Lincoln Project co-founder Mike Madrid, showed that leadership was made aware of allegations about Weaver from reporters who were investigating it, and had begun discussions of how to respond to any fallout.

The initial alerts came to the attention of the Lincoln Project in early August in the form of inquiries about Weaver from the New York Post. The inquiries, three sources familiar with the New York Post story say, were part of an investigation into Weaver’s inappropriate messages to male youths, and brought to the attention of Madrid.

On Aug. 6, the Lincoln Project announced Weaver would go on medical leave after a cardiac emergency, but no further action was announced.

“So instead of looking into the allegations, they swept it under the rug,” one source familiar with the situation told the Blade.

San Marino hires banks for 300 million euro bond issuance

San Marino has mandated JP Morgan and Credit Suisse to sound out investors over a 300 million euro bond issue, its finance minister said on Tuesday, as the tiny state landlocked inside Italy seeks to shore up its finances.

“The banks will hold a roadshow starting this week ahead of a potential 300 million euro issue,” Finance Minister Marco Gatti told Reuters, confirming an earlier report from a trader. “They will update investors over measures we have included in the latest budget law,” he added. The banks will hold calls with investors from Wednesday to Friday on the three-year senior bond, which will be rated BB+ with a negative outlook by ratings agency Fitch, the trader said earlier on Tuesday. Credit Suisse declined to comment and JP Morgan was not immediately available for comment. San Marino, whose banking sector is struggling because of a large pile of non-performing loans, already sought to tap markets in October last year with a five-year bond but a deal did not surface after the investor meetings.
