A new study is predicting that thousands of American cities will become ‘ghost towns’ by the year 2100, due to a mix of various social and economic factors.
We already see massive decay in some American cities, Detroit and various locations in Appalachia come to mind immediately.
Progressive policies on not enforcing the law are causing businesses to flee cities that were doing fine just a few years ago, so is this theory really so difficult to believe?
Thousands of US cities are predicted to become ghost towns by 2100: New study A new study using existing trends from over the past 20 years predicted population decline in thousands of American cities over the next 80 years.
Researchers at the University of Illinois Chicago used population projections to find that, by the year 2100, almost half of nearly 30,000 cities in the U.S. will experience a population decline.
The population decline would represent 12%–23% of the population of these cities, the study states. The aftermath of such a decline will bring “unprecedented challenges,” the study explains further.

A conservative executive with the Sinclair Broadcasting Group has bought the Baltimore Sun newspaper and people in liberal media are losing their minds.
Media bias has become such a given, that the left can’t even contemplate not controlling every media outlet and being able to set the narrative on everything, especially politics.
Would it have been better to let the Baltimore Sun just die and for jobs to be destroyed?

After it was announced Monday that local businessman and Sinclair Broadcasting Group executive Chairman David Smith had rescued The Sun with plans to revitalize it to a robust status, the left is apoplectic…
CNN reacted the way you’d expect. Oliver Darcy, their deranged liberal media hall monitor, whined in his media newsletter that it’s a “deal that has set off alarm bells” since Smith’s local stations around the country “has previously inserted right-wing editorial segments into its local news broadcasts.”
Writing on Threads and X, NPR media writer and former Sun reporter David Folkenflik huffed that “Smith was dismissive of the Sun‘s journalism” and “deflected questions about his own political activities.”
He also seethed that “Smith has been a major funder of GOP candidates; more recently he has funded far-right outfits like Project Veritas and Turning Point USA & financed local ballot initiatives.”

Showdown: Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton Issues Scorching Response to DHS Cease-and-Desist Order Texas Won’t Back Down.
On January 14th, the Department of Homeland Security sent a cease-and-desist letter to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton demanding that the Texas Military Department end it’s “enhanced border security measures in Eagle Pass’s Shelby park.” DHS demanded they comply by today, January 17th. The Gateway Pundit reported that armed Texas National Guardsmen had kicked out U.S. Border Patrol and CBP agents from Eagle Pass’s Shelby Park in the Rio Grande sector.
AG Paxton published a response letter today debunking several claims made by DHS in their original letter, stating, “Because the facts and law side with Texas, the State will continue utilizing its constitutional authority to defend her territory, and I will continue defending those lawful efforts in court.”
“Your demand letter rests on a more fundamental misunderstanding of federal law and the role of sovereign States within our constitutional order,” writes AG Paxton. He then cites the federal statute DHS invoked in their letter that gives US Border Patrol “warrantless access to land within 25 miles of the border”. But AG Paxton points out that it states “for the purpose of patrolling the border to prevent the illegal entry of aliens into the United States.”
AG Paxton argued that because a federal court found DHS as an “utter failure…to deter, prevent and halt unlawful entry into the United States”, DHS cannot “claim the statutory duties [it is] so obviously derelict in enforcing as excuses to puncture to puncture [Texas’s] attempts to shore up the [Biden Administration’s] failing system.” Texas v DHS, 2023 WL 8285223.
In return, AG Paxton wrote that the Biden Administration had failed to uphold their duties under Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution that states the federal government “shall protect each of [the States] against Invasion.”
The letter then lists several “false claims” that “must be debunked”, including the claim that U.S. Border Patrol is being restricted from responding to a medical emergency in part because they withdrew from Shelby Park last year:

Sandberg first joined Meta when it was known as Facebook in 2008 after meeting at a party a year earlier
Meta's former COO Sheryl Sandberg plans to step down from her position on the company's board of directors after her term ends in May, she said in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
'Meta business is strong and well-positioned for the future, so this feels like the right time to step away,' Sandberg, 54, said in the post, adding that she will serve as an adviser to the company.
Responding to Sandberg, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said he looks forward to 'a new chapter together.'
Sandberg's decision came in after she spent more than 14 years as the company's chief operating officer, in addition to 12 years on its board. During her time as COO, the company acquired powerhouses such as Instagram and WhatsApp.
In 2022, Sandberg married CEO Tom Bernthal, her third marriage. The Harvard graduate was previously married to a man named Brian Kraff for a year between 1994 and 1995.
In 2004, she married Yahoo executive Dave Goldberg, the couple had two children together a son and daughter. Goldberg died tragically in 2015 at the age of just 47 while vacationing in Mexico due to an undiagnosed heart condition.

A Justice Department investigation into how hundreds of law enforcement officers failed to stop a gunman who walked into an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, and remained inside for more than an hour, killing 19 children and two teachers, was set to be released Thursday.
But parents who have been frustrated by shifting stories and a lack of transparency about the response at Robb Elementary School on May 24, 2022, were skeptical that the report would provide answers and the accountability they have sought for nearly two years.

Democrats are not only resurrecting the memory of January 6 when it comes to the 2024 presidential electionlikely to be between Joe Biden and Donald Trumpbut to go after their colleagues in Congress. On Wednesday, Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) announced a resolution to censure House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY).
From the House floor, the congressman announced that his censure against Stefanik was over her "providing aid, comfort, and support to the rioters and insurrectionists who violently attacked this Capitol on January 6, 2021 in an effort to undermine our democracy and illegally stop the peaceful transfer of power."
Goldman claimed that "since that attempted coup, Ms. Stefanik has repeatedly and persistently expressed support for the duly convicted insurrectionists." This included her mere word choice during the January 7 episode of NBC News' "Meet the Press." As Goldman put it, Stefanik was "echoing the inflammatory language of criminal defendant Donald Trump" when she "disgracefully referred to the January 6th insurrectionists in prison as, quote, hostages, unquote."
The congressman went on to say that "Ms. Stefanik's support of convicted criminals charged with offenses against the United States government, including attempted violence against members of this body, is simply unacceptable from a member of Congress."
Goldman also brought Stefanik's fight against antisemitism into the matter. "Nor is it acceptable for a member of Congress who purports to oppose antisemitism to equate convicted insurrectionists with the more than 130 Israeli hostages who remain subject to horrific conditions in Gaza," he said as his time expired.
Today, I introduced a resolution to censure @RepStefanik for supporting the Jan 6 insurrectionists, calling these convicted criminals “hostages.”

That's not all true, Federal Judges are covered under immunity for "Judicial Acts" only - Not legislative acts, Not administrative acts. It's the "Act", not the person or office title held. The question is whether Trump "acted" presidential or not, I believe he did, immunity should apply.

This recently unknown person was seen casually walking to a DC Metropolitan Police vehicle parked in the DNC’s parking ramp driveway near South Capitol St. at 1:05 pm on Jan. 6 to reportedly tell other law enforcement that he had found what seemed to be a pipe bomb.
He is seen sporting dark clothes and a backpack in leaked footage, initially conversating with an officer on the driver’s side of the patrol car. He then casually strolls around to the car’s passenger side window, where he talks a bit more.
The plainclothes officer then slowly walks over to a black Secret Service SUV in order to speak with the vehicle’s occupants. The SUV was notably stopped only about 15-20 feet away from where the alleged bomb was placed.
Another discovery is that this exact vehicle was part of a motorcade that took Vice President-elect Kamala Harris to the DNC building only about 90 minutes earlier. This revelation was not unveiled for a full year.
This is big news. The pipe bombs were the reason for Congress shutting down, not the riots that day, according the Chief of Capitol Police on that day. This was discussed in the book, The Steal – Volume III: The Cover-Up.
Big Media reported that the reason that the Capitol was cleared on Jan 6 was because of the assault on the Capitol by Trump supporters, but Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund testified before the Senate in February 2021 that the two congressional buildings, the Cannon House Office Building, as well as one of the Library of Congress buildings were evacuated due to the discovery of the pipe bombs.

[Epstein] loved having this ‘one famous person’ around that he would talk about and introduce to everyone. Almost like [he was] using Bannon to get more people to accept him. That’s my sense.”
Why was Steve Bannon hanging around Jeffery Epstein’s mansion, and furthermore, was Bannon aware of Epstein’s prolific child trafficking and pedophilia? The New York Post reported that many copies of child pornography were found in the exact Manhattan mansion which Bannon frequented. “They have many million businesses, they have security companies, they’ve got coin and laundry businesses, ice companies, pawn shops, and the idea is you build up these businesses for the greater good to restore wealth,” Lindsey Hansen Park, the host the Year of Polygamy podcast, told "American Greed." Kingston set up a biodiesel refinery on his father’s Utah ranch and by 2008 the company began importing vegetable oil to create the fuel. But its remote location proved to be a challenge, not only for importing the raw materials but also for selling the resulting fuel to prospective customers. The company couldn’t make a profit until Kingston decided to fraudulently take advantage of federal tax credits – without actually making the product.
“Utah was a terrible place to make biodiesel, but as it turns out it was a fine place to commit fraud,” said Arthur Ewenczyk, a former trial attorney with the Department of Justice. Kingston was able to pull off the ruse by connecting with other corrupt operators, who agreed to let him pretend to sell the biofuel. He enlisted his brother Isaiah Kingston, his mother Rachel Kingston and first wife Sally Kingston to help him falsify the books and paperwork.
Over the next few years, Kingston collected government checks totaling an estimated$10 millionbut it wasn’t until he connected with another man, Lev Dermen—an Armenian immigrant known as“The Lion”—that the fraudulent proceeds really skyrocketed. “Once Lev Derman got involved and the conspiracy continued under his tutelage, the amounts of money are mind-blowing,” John Huber, former U.S. Attorney for the District of Utah, told “American Greed.”

Two brand spanking new polls out of New Hampshire are very bad news for Nikki Haley, aka Birdbrain, aka Nikki New Taxes, aka Nikki da Neocon. As it turns out, the Coalition of the Lukewarm (heavily suburban, female, college-educated milquetoast independents and Trump-hating Democrats) that she is putting together doesn’t appear to be enough to deliver her the Granite State.
The first poll to sound the alarm for Nikki was released earlier today, and it was sponsored by the Boston Globe. The poll shows Trump with an absolutely massive lead with New Hampshire Republicans, and, even worse for Nikki, he’s running neck and neck with her with independents.
That’s not the result Nikki wants to hear, as she’s banking on Democrats and independents pulling Republican primary ballots and delivering her the win. If she splits independent voters with Trump, she’s naan.
One poll could be an outlier, but two are a trend. The next poll to drop was conducted by St. Anselm, and it shows Trump breaching the 50% mark for a majority of the vote. In the poll, Nikki does do slightly better with independents than the Boston Globe poll, but she’s losing with Republicans by 40 points.
After Iowa, Nikki Haley wants us all to believe that this is a two-man race, despite the fact that she came in third place. Perhaps her speechwriter forgot to update the script.
These polls puncture the regime’s Nikki Haley pipe dream and show unstoppable momentum towards Trump. If Trump can bring home New Hampshire, he will then crush Nikki Haley in South Carolina.
Voters overwhelmingly oppose Nikki Haley on neocon policy.. There are a handful of low IQ voters who support Nikki Haley because she’s a woman. (Or is she???)
There’s one name that we haven’t mentioned yet in this article, and that name is Ron DeSantis. Unfortunately for DeSantis, he’s a non-entity in New Hampshire, with the last two polls showing him at just 5 and 6 percent of the vote. He’s also not popular in South Carolina, as the above polling average suggests, and a poor finish in New Hampshire will compound the problem he is having with appealing to voters in the early primary states. DeSantis will be extremely lucky to even clear double digits in either New Hampshire or South Carolina, so expect his momentum to all but fizzle out after those contests.
Also, don’t expect DeSantis to announce an endorsement soon after dropping out, as he appears to detest both Trump and Haley. Moreover, he will want to let the tempers of his fanbase cool off a bit before announcing a Trump endorsement, as Ted Cruz did in 2016, if he can get over the bad blood between them.

I think the majority of republicans in Senate are controlled by McConnell, some of those senators are threatened even by destruction or death. Remove McConnell and quite a few of them can stay
I disagree about Grassley, he has done a lot of good. He got three SC Justices in for Trump

Northern lights shine in this night skyview from planet Earth's stratosphere, captured on January 15. The single, 5 second exposure was made with a hand-held camera on board an aircraft above Winnipeg, Canada. During the exposure, terrestrial lights below leave colorful trails along the direction of motion of the speeding aircraft. Above the more distant horizon, energetic particles accelerated along Earth's magnetic field at the planet's polar regions excite atomic oxygen to create the shimmering display of Aurora Borealis. The aurora's characteristic greenish hue is generated at altitudes of 100-300 kilometers and red at even higher altitudes and lower atmospheric densities. The luminous glow of faint stars along the plane of our Milky Way galaxy arcs through the night, while the Andromeda galaxy extends this northern skyview to extragalactic space. A diffuse hint of Andromeda, the closest large spiral to the Milky Way, can just be seen to the upper left.

Ex-NATO commander demands Ukrainian attacks on Crimea
US General Philip Breedlove urged the West to give Kiev the means to strike the peninsula
The West should be providing Ukraine with weapons it could use to intensify attacks on Crimea, former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe Philip Breedlove has argued. The US general opined that increasing pressure on the peninsula, which is home to Russia’s Black Sea fleet, would force Moscow to “rethink its posture there.”
The predominantly Russian-speaking region voted overwhelmingly to join Russia in a 2014 referendum following the Maidan coup, which brought ethnic nationalist elements to the fore of Ukraine’s political landscape. Following the new government’s move to scrap their language rights, local residents expressed concerns that they would be singled out.
An opinion piece published in The Hill on Wednesday quoted Breedlove as saying: “If we enable Ukraine to be able to strike Crimea — pervasively, persistently and precisely — Russia will be forced to rethink its posture there.”
“Strike them all, strike them repeatedly, and destroy them in detail,” the retired general advised.
His colleague, Ben Hodges, who served as a commanding general in the United States Army Europe, concurred that the peninsula represents the “decisive terrain of the war.”
Speaking at the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos last Sunday, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov confirmed that despite the failed summer counteroffensive, reaching the country’s 1991 borders remains Kiev’s “strategic objective.” That would mean retaking Crimea, the port city of Sevastopol, and several other regions under Russian control.
In an interview with The Economist earlier this month, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky described isolating Crimea as an “extremely important” objective. He expressed confidence that his country’s armed forces would manage to do so in 2024. The head of state also revealed that Kiev will be focusing on the Kerch bridge in particular, which connects Crimea to the Russian mainland.
With this in mind, President Zelensky once again demanded that Germany provide long-range Taurus cruise missiles, which Berlin has so far refused to supply.
In recent months, Ukraine has staged dozens of attacks on the peninsula, using seaborne and aerial drones as well as various missiles. Earlier in January, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that its air defenses had intercepted 36 Ukrainian UAVs as well as ten rockets over Crimea, including several British-supplied ‘Storm Shadows.’
