Although this commitment is not a formal treaty, it is clear and categorical. Because, the concept of Russian imperialism had not changed.

The adoption ban would apply to 15 countries, including Australia, Argentina, Canada, and several European countries.

Russia previously banned citizens from the United States from adopting Russian children in 2012.

Despite record-high education spending, British Columbia’s average academic performance in math, science and reading has declined significantly.

According to a new study by the Fraser Institute, inflation-adjusted per-student education spending in B.C. has increased by 6.7% in ten years. From $13,839 in the fiscal year 2012/13 to $14,767 in 2021/22.

In the fiscal year 2024/25, B.C.’s NDP government plans to spend $9.6 billion on education, making it the second largest program spending area after healthcare.

However, B.C.’s academic performance has been declining over the last decade. The study examines internationally recognized testing standards, the Programme for International Student Assessment, or PISA, administered by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, the OECD, to gauge this.

According to PISA scores, student performance in math dropped from 522 in 2012 to 496 in 2022, in reading from 535 to 511, and in science from 544 to 519 over the same ten-year period. Continue...

The majority of Canadians now believe that there is too much immigration into Canada, driven by a rise in economic concerns, over-population, the worry that the government is not screening immigrants properly, and an increase in crime.

According to a survey from Focus Canada, the rise in concern was most pronounced among Conservative supporters; the increase was mirrored, though less prevalent, among Liberal and NDP supporters.

When Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took office in 2015, only 48% of Conservative Party supporters thought there was too much immigration to Canada. The level has now risen to 80%. The concern among Liberal supporters rose from 33% in 2015 to 45% in 2024. NDP supporters saw the smallest rise, growing from 31% in 2015 to 36% in 2024.

Among all Canadians, 58% believe that the country accepts too many immigrants, a 14% rise since 2023, following a 17% increase the year prior, the most rapid change since Focus Canada began tracking this question in 1977.

“The latest findings suggest the balance of public opinion about the volume of immigration currently being admitted into the country has effectively flipped from being acceptable (if not valuable) to problematic,” reads the report. Continue...

Doug Ford came into power promising a change from the Kathleen Wynne Green Energy Act fiasco – the one which saddled Ontario taxpayers with costly green energy contracts, driving up the price of power. Ford promised to scrap those wasteful contracts, lower hydro rates, and restore affordability to Ontario. But as we take stock of his energy policies today, it seems Ford is steering Ontario down a path that feels a bit too familiar.

For all his talk about energy affordability, Ford continues to pander to the environmentalist “Net Zero” ideology that got Ontario into this mess in the first place. The idea is that somehow Canada will be a net zero emitter of greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. We have seen this play out at the Federal level, with the Trudeau Liberals implementing a host of reckless and punitive policies in the vain hopes of achieving this preposterous goal. You can thank Net Zero for Carbon Taxes, Emissions Caps, the Clean Fuel Standard, Electric Vehicle Mandates and on and on.

Instead of backing away and distancing himself from this scam, Doug Ford has embraced and doubled down on it. Recall that during a provincial leaders debate in June 2022, Ford stated that he will not be happy until Ontario achieves a 100% zero-carbon electricity grid, buying into the Net Zero electrification nonsense that the Trudeau government is pushing. This would mean moving away from fossil fuels like affordable and reliable natural gas as energy sources in Ontario.

Stephen Lecce, Ford’s minister of the recently renamed Ministry of Energy and Electrification, is full steam ahead on this project. And the ministry’s new name is significant, pointing towards an “energy transition” for Ontario, such that eventually everything – cars, home heating, etc. – will be run on electricity rather than traditional fuels. A Canadian judge has found Pat King, a controversial figure connected to the Freedom Convoy, guilty of a total of five charges related to his involvement in the 2022 protests held in the nation’s capital which called for an end to COVID mandates.

An Ottawa judge found King guilty of two counts of disobeying a court order, one count of mischief, one count of counselling others to commit mischief, as well as one count of counselling others to obstruct police.

As reported by the Canadian Press, King was also found not guilty of four other charges, those being three counts of intimidation and one count of obstructing police. 

King’s lawyers had argued that his involvement with the Freedom Convoy was peaceful in nature and did not warrant any of the charges laid against him.

Crown lawyers claimed that King was one of the main leaders of the Freedom Convoy who played a key role in the month-long protests that took place in January and February of 2022.

The Crown’s case relied heavily on videos posted to social media, which were shared by King throughout the protests.

While King has been labeled as one of the leaders of the Freedom Convoy by the mainstream media, he is largely considered by those who followed the event to be a tertiary actor.

The Times of Israel smeared Rebel News founder and journalist Ezra Levant as a “far-right activist” on Sunday after he was arrested in Toronto, Canada, for filming an anti-Israel protest in a Jewish neighborhood on a public sidewalk.

Canadian far-right political pundit Ezra Levant has been arrested at a pro-Hamas rally in Toronto, after he refused police instructions to move away from the demonstration, claiming he was being discriminated against for being Jewish.

In a video of the arrest posted to social media by Levant’s Rebel News platform, officers can be heard telling the conservative activist that his presence at the pro-Palestinian rally was “inciting the crowd.”

The officer then tells him he is under “arrest for breaching the peace,” at which point the protesters erupt in cheers and calls of “Zionist” and “loser.”

As the Times of Israel admitted, one protester at the Toronto event was dressed as Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, while another held a sign urging Jews to go to Amsterdam, the site of a massive antisemitic riot earlier this month.

Such displays would be offensive to mainstream readers of the Times of Israel, yet it smears Levant as “far-right.”

Video of the arrest, posted by Rebel News — a self-identified conservative news outlet, but not “far-right” — shows Levant being ushered by police away from a group of protesters holding Palestinian flags. The Russian armed forces have reportedly captured a British mercenary in the Kursk Region.

The captured individual was identified as 22-year-old James Scott Rhys Anderson.

According to a reliable security source speaking to Sputnik, a Russian state-owned news agency, Anderson, a self-proclaimed British national, is currently under interrogation.

A video of Anderson’s interrogation, released on Sunday by the Telegram channel Troika, provides a glimpse into the young mercenary’s background and motivations.

During the interrogation, Anderson claimed that he had previously served in the 22nd Signal Regiment of the UK armed forces from 2019 to 2023.

Following his departure from the military, he purportedly sought to join the Ukrainian Foreign Legion due to financial and personal challenges.

In the video, Anderson revealed that his decision to become a mercenary was influenced by his father’s incarceration and subsequent financial hardships, which led him to a point where he felt he had “lost everything.”

The acronym BBM is a reference to President Bongbong Marcos. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Romualdez Marcos Jr. is the second child and only son of 10th president, kleptocrat and dictator Ferdinand Marcos and former first lady Imelda Marcos.

“I’ve given my order, ‘If I die, don’t stop until you’ve killed them,'” she continued. “And he said, ’yes.'”

Duterte, later tried to walk back her remarks by saying they were only intended for extraordinary circumstances.

“If I expressed the concern, they will say that’s a threat to the life of the president?” she told members of the press.

“Why would I kill him if not for revenge from the grave?” she continued. “There is no reason for me to kill him. What’s the benefit for me?”

Three Mile Island: now there’s a name only us retired folk will remember. On March 28, 1979 the Unit 2 reactor in the Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station near Middletown, Pennsylvania incurred a partial melt-down. This was and remains the most serious accident in U.S. nuclear power-plant operating history. Although nobody was killed or injured, the near-catastrophe gripped Americans for months (that was when the term “melt-down” entered the public lexicon). It further energized the powerful anti-nuclear movement – eerily, the movie The China Syndrome concerning a fictional reactor melt-down had been released just 12 days before the actual Three Mile Island event – and shifted public opinion further against generating electricity by splitting the atom. The Liberal government is asking Parliament for over $400 million in new funding for a program that provides healthcare for asylum seekers despite the program receiving steady increases in funding yearly.

According to supplementary estimates for increased funding for the fiscal year 2024/2024, the government is asking for $411.2 million in new spending to fund its Interim Federal Health Program which provides healthcare benefits to asylum seekers and refugees.

The IFHP covers some pre-departure medical services and health care for refugees and asylum seekers. It also covers the cost of medical exams, vaccines, and medical support for travel for claimants before they arrive in Canada. The program also pays costs associated with health measures during disease outbreaks.

For refugee claimants, resettled refugees, and protected persons in Canada, the Canadian taxpayer covers hospital services, diagnostic and ambulance services, and services from healthcare professionals licensed in Canada, including pre-and post-natal care.

Canadian MPs have voted 210 to 117 in favor of a proposal to decriminalize simple possession of heroin, cocaine and all other illegal drugs across Canada despite the disastrous effects of lax drug policies already observed.

Canada may be one step closer to decriminalizing hard drugs as the majority of MPs voted in favor of a proposal recommending the move.

According to information published November 25 by Blacklock’s Reporter, MPs voted 210 to 117 in favor of a proposal recommending the decriminalizing of the simple possession of heroin, cocaine and all other illegal drugs across Canada. While the proposal is non-binding, it could point to how MPs would vote on a future bill seeking to augment the law.

“Why has it come to this?” Conservative MP Jacques Gourde, who opposes such a move, questioned. “We have reached the end of the road and nothing better lies ahead if we continue down this path.”

The recommendation, which received a House majority with only Conservative MPs voting against it, suggested “that the Government of Canada decriminalize simple possess of all illicit drugs.” Continue...

Special Counsel Jack Smith on Monday moved to dismiss the case against US President-elect Donald Trump for allegedly conspiring to overturn the results of the 2020 election he lost to Joe Biden.

Smith, in a filing with the judge in Washington presiding over the historic case, said it should be dropped in light of a long-standing Justice Department policy not to prosecute a sitting president.

The special counsel asked District Judge Tanya Chutkan to dismiss the case “without prejudice” — leaving open the possibility it could be revived after Trump leaves office four years from now.

Smith paused the election interference case earlier this month after Trump defeated Kamala Harris in the November 5 presidential election.

“The Government’s position on the merits of the defendant’s prosecution has not changed,” Smith said in the filing with Chutkan. “But the circumstances have.”

“It has long been the position of the Department of Justice that the United States Constitution forbids the federal indictment and subsequent criminal prosecution of a sitting President,” Smith said.

An Indian migrant testified that he smuggled more than 500 other India nationals across the U.S.-Canada border during a four-year period. Despite making more than $400,000 in his role in the smuggling operation, the man will be allowed to remain and work in the U.S. in exchange for his testimony.

Rajinder Singh, 51, testified that he participated in a human smuggling scheme that brought more than 500 Indian migrants across the U.S. northern border, the Associated Press reported. Singh said the migrants paid up to $100,000 each for movement along the smuggling trail leading from the Gujarat state in India to the Canadian border with the U.S.

Singh was previously convicted for his role in the human smuggling network and took the stand last week in Minnesota to testify against the alleged leaders of the network, Harshkumar Ramanlal Patel, 29, and Steve Shand, 50, of Florida, the AP stated. Prosecutors say Patel ran part of the smuggling operation and recruited Shand to drive groups of migrants across the Canadian border into Minnesota furin a four-week span.

Singh himself entered the United States illegally three times after being deported on federal charges, the AP stated. He says he is testifying because it is the right thing to do.

Patel’s attorney question questioned Singh’s virtue and said he is testifying in order to avoid yet another deportation. The AP says Signh’s deportation will be deferred and he will be provided with a work permit.

The India migrants would travel to Canada on student visas and would then be smuggled from British Columbia into Washington state. In 2021, the plans changed to cross the migrants into Minnesota instead.

This allegedly led to the deaths of four Indian migrants who froze to death in January 2022, the AP stated. The victims were listed as: 39-year-old Jagdish Patel; his wife, Vaishaliben, who was in her mid-30s; their 11-year-old daughter, Vihangi; and 3-year-old son, Dharmik.

Singh testified that he received a panic-stricken call from one of his smuggling associates who said, “Our work got screwed up. People got caught.” Singh said he later learned of the deaths of the Indian family.

“They are playing with people’s lives,” Singh said of the smugglers. “People died,” the AP stated.

Joe Biden is making a late request from Congress for $24 billion for an aid package for Ukraine.

On his way out of the White House, President Biden is reportedly making a last-minute plea to Congress for $24 billion in aid for war-torn Ukraine to bolster its military support and replenish US stocks that had dwindled.

The White House Office of Management and Budget suggested that Congress could fold the renewed aid into its solution to avert a government shutdown next month, according to a request obtained by Politico Pro.

Several lawmakers saw the proposal Monday and it features $8 billion for the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative to fund US company contracts to arm Kyiv and $16 billion to refill US weaponry stock, per the report.

Johnson continues to deny the peace deal claims and "fact checkers" engage in extensive mental gymnastics to argue that there was no "official deal" put to paper, therefore Johnson didn't sabotage anything. In other words, if a politician ruins a peace deal in its infancy before it is drafted then he's not culpable for the war that follows.

The bottom line? Johnson, a prominent British official with ties to NATO, showed up in the middle of early negotiations and told the Ukrainians to fight instead of pursuing peace. This alone would have given the Ukrainians a false sense of security that NATO forces would intervene and fight for them.

Boris Johnson would go on to promote a surge in military recruitment in the UK, and supported calls for conscription from military officials. The last six months has seen more and more Western officials and mainstream media outlets acknowledge reality in Ukraine - that Russian forces are on the advance, with Kiev forces outgunned and most importantly outmanned.

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte in fresh comments this week admitted the same. He said in a Fox News interview that Ukraine is not in a strong enough position to negotiate an end to the war. At this moment, Rutte explained, there is not enough battlefield leverage to "prevent the Russians from getting what they want."
