A grateful and at times defiant Donald Trumptold The Post Sunday he’s “supposed to be dead” as he recalled the harrowing moment a would-be assassin shot at him at a Pennsylvania campaign rally.

The former president shared the “very surreal experience” that nearly ended his life during an interview aboard his private plane en route to Milwaukee for the GOP National Convention.

“The doctor at the hospital said he never saw anything like this, he called it a miracle,” said Trump, who was sporting a large, loose white bandage that covered his right ear. His staff insisted that no photos be taken.

“I’m not supposed to be here, I’m supposed to be dead,” Trump said. “I’m supposed to be dead.”

Moments after Donald Trump was rushed to safety following a failed assassination attempt at a Saturday night rally, some of his supporters turned toward the press pen with obscenities as they fingered reporters for blame.

“This is your fault!” one attendee emphatically yelled, pointing at individual journalists as he approached the fence line separating them from attendees.

“This is your fault!”

“It is your fault!” exclaimed another.

Axios reporter Sophia Cai, who quoted some in the crowd warning the press, “you’re next” and that their “time is coming,” even reported that a few rally goers tried to breach the barriers establishing the press pen, but that they were stopped by security personnel.

In the immediate wake of the horrific shooting attempt on Trump’s life, which resulted in the tragic death of one rally attendee and the severe wounding of two others, the news media has quickly emerged among some Trump supporters as a body to assign blame.

While the Trump campaign urged its staff to “condemn all forms of violence” and said it “will not tolerate dangerous rhetoric on social media,”some of the former president’s supporters in MAGA Media vehemently assailed the press for its hard-knuckled reporting on Trump(WTF it was hatred, vileness, an inciting chants of death for Trump),which has sounded the alarm on what four more years under the former president would look like.

Over the course of the campaign cycle, news organizations have, among other things, reported at length on Trump’s plans to warp the federal government for his own ends, including to seek vengeance against his political opponents.

That reporting is now facing scrutiny, with some Trump supporters blaming it for producing a charged atmosphere that gave way to the assassination attempt, while mostly looking past the incendiary rhetoric of the former president himself.

BUTLER, Pa. — When the shots rang out a little over six minutes into former President Trump's remarks, I was standing on a chair in the media area to get a good view of the stage.

Suddenly Trump went down. Some of his supporters screamed; others ducked on the risers behind him while still others stood up, exposing themselves while trying to see where the shots were coming from.

What followed was a chaos that reflected the shock of the moment and the heated passion of Trump's most loyal supporters: shouts and screams by those near the wounded, cheers when a bloodied Trump raised his fist — and anger suddenly directed toward the cordoned area where I and other reporters were covering the rally.

When the shots began I was standing next to my former Axios colleague Alayna Treene, who's now with CNN. Her security guard forced her down and then ushered her into a space below the media riser.

A few moments later I did the same as the security guard positioned his body over hers, much as Secret Service agents were doing with Trump on the stage.

That's when it hit me that we were in danger.(How did she not know she was in danger with a shooter there? Strange comment, like she expected to be safe for some reason)

Less than 90 seconds later, we peeked through the riser and emerged to face the anger of Trump supporters, who were turning on the media.

"Fake news! This is your fault!" they yelled. "You're next! Your time is coming."

A few tried to break into the media area but were stopped by security guards.

Once Trump had been ushered away by the Secret Service to cheers and chants of, "USA! USA!" the crowd of thousands scattered quickly.

Many prayed. A few — not those who threatened reporters — stopped by to talk. One guy to whom I had offered a mint and water earlier on this hot day stopped to make sure I was OK.

Colleen Phillips, 66, of Leechburg, Pa., told me that Trump showing he was OK after the shooting "means everything to me. ... I'm praying so hard. This is my first rally."

"I heard six shots," Lisa Adrienne Cecilia, 61, of New Kensington, Pa., told me. "...I was praying that no one dies or gets hurt." It was her first rally, too.

Less than 20 minutes later the rally space had largely been cleared, and security was waving away reporters who lingered.

Why does this galaxy have such a long tail? In this stunning vista, based on image data from the Hubble Legacy Archive, distant galaxies form a dramatic backdrop for disrupted spiral galaxy Arp 188, the Tadpole Galaxy. The cosmic tadpole is a mere 420 million light-years distant toward the northern constellation of the Dragon (Draco). Its eye-catching tail is about 280 thousand light-years long and features massive, bright blue star clusters. One story goes that a more compact intruder galaxy crossed in front of Arp 188 - from right to left in this view - and was slung around behind the Tadpole by their gravitational attraction. During the close encounter, tidal forces drew out the spiral galaxy's stars, gas, and dust forming the spectacular tail. The intruder galaxy itself, estimated to lie about 300 thousand light-years behind the Tadpole, can be seen through foreground spiral arms at the upper right. Following its terrestrial namesake, the Tadpole Galaxy will likely lose its tail as it grows older, the tail's star clusters forming smaller satellites of the large spiral galaxy.

Forensic analysis suggests that as many as three weapons were fired at the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday.

The FBI said Sunday that the shooter acted alone. (What did the FBI know and when did they know it? No one was going to believe that in the first place)

The first three shots were consistent with alleged weapon A, the next five were consistent with alleged weapon B, and the final “acoustic impulse” was emitted by a possible weapon C, per audio analysis by Catalin Grigoras, director of the National Center for Media Forensics at the University of Colorado in Denver, and Cole Whitecotton, Senior Professional Research Associate at the same institution.

Audio analysis has also confirmed that the gunman was about 360 to 393 feet from the podium, according to forensics expert Robert Maher.

This conclusion aligns with CNN’s analysis that the gunman was on a rooftop 393 to 492 feet from the podium when shots rang out.

The shots exemplify a “crack-pop” sequence, typical when a supersonic bullet passes a microphone, before the “arrival of the corresponding muzzle blast sound,” Maher, who teaches audio forensics at Montana State University, told CNN.

The time between these markers places the shooter 110 to 120 meters from the microphone, Maher said, assuming the bullet is moving at an average speed of 800 to 1,000 meters per second, the equivalent of 2,600 to 3,280 feet per second.

The Special Counsel’s use of a permanent indefinite appropriation was also deemed a violation of the Appropriations Clause, although the court did not address the remedy for this funding violation given the dismissal on

Appointments Clause grounds.

The case, which stemmed from a grand jury indictment on June 8, 2023, charged Trump with 31 counts of willful retention of national defense information and additional conspiracy and concealment charges against Trump and his co-defendants, Waltine Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira. The indictment was later expanded to 42 charges in a superseding indictment.

President Trump previously filed a motion to dismiss Jack Smith’s classified documents charges based on the “unlawful appointment and funding of Special Counsel.”

Day one of the expanded evidentiary hearing was held last month.

According to NBC News, President Trump’s lawyers “argued that an officer like the special counsel must be appointed “by law” and that the special counsel should be categorized as a “principal officer” and subject to Senate confirmation. The statutory text cited by the special counsel’s office “does not authorize” the U.S. attorney general’s appointment of the special counsel, his lawyer, Emil Bove, argued.”

Cannon did question whether Attorney General Merrick had any oversight role in seeking the indictment against Trump.Jack Smith’s prosecutor James Pearce refused to answerand claimed it would be against policy to answer the question.

“Why would there be any heartburn to answer whether the attorney general signed off on the indictment?”Cannon asked.

Recall, Conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas questioned Jack Smith’s authority as special counsel in his concurring opinion on the high court’s presidential immunity ruling.

Last month, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that Trump has absolute immunity for his core constitutional powers. Former presidents are entitled to at least a presumption of immunity for their official acts.

The Supreme Court ruled that there is no immunity for unofficial acts.

Pentagon Releases New Report With Analysis Of Alleged Roswell UFO Crash Debris

When it comes to the subject of UFOs and aliens, the so-called Roswell incident is right up there near the top of the list of conspiracy theories.

For almost 80 years, people have been arguing over whether the United States Army lied about what actually happened in June and July of 1947.

Much of the UFO and alien speculation stems from the fact that the Army initially reported to the public that they had come into possession of a “flying disc.”

That story was then retracted within a day and changed to say that what they found was actually nothing more than a weather balloon.

The conspiracy theory was further fueled in 1978 when retired Air Force officer Jesse Marcel (seen in the photo above with the alleged debris from Roswell) claimed that the weather balloon story had been a cover-up and that the crash debris the Army found was actually extraterrestrial in nature.

Now, the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) decided that 75 years after the Roswell incident they would have some of the crash debris analyzed.

So, in 2022, they sent a sample of the alleged crashed UFO to Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Last Thursday, Oak Ridge issued a report, without actually mentioning Roswell specifically, detailing their findings after two years of analysis.

“This specimen has been publicly alleged to be a component recovered from a crashed extraterrestrial vehicle in 1947, and purportedly exhibits extraordinary properties, such as functioning as a terahertz waveguide to generate antigravity capabilities,” the AARO explained in its report.

“Considering all available evidence, AARO assesses that this specimen is likely a test object, a manufacturing product or byproduct, or a material component of aerospace performance studies to evaluate the properties of [magnesium] alloys.”

The person who has publicly alleged this is Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge and his independent research organization To The Stars Academy which provided the sample to the AARO.

“Although the origin, chain of custody, and ultimate purpose of this specimen remain unclear, a modern and robust analysis of its chemical and structural composition and properties does not indicate that its origin is non-terrestrial, nor do the data indicate that the material examined ever had the pure single-crystalline bismuth layer that could possibly have acted as a terahertz waveguide,” Oak Ridge stated in its report.

The report essentially chalks up the unusual material to being nothing more than “experimental [magnesium] alloys” that were being tested “for airframes, engines, weapons, and delivery systems starting in 1915 and peaking during World War II.”

“Unsurprisingly, records of failed [magnesium] alloy designs are scant. Neither AARO nor ORNL could verify the specimen’s historical origin. Unverifiable, conflicting personal accounts complicate its undocumented chain of custody,” they concluded.

WORLD EXCLUSIVE — Former President Donald Trump has completely rewritten his convention speech in light of the assassination attempt against him on Saturday and will call on Thursday for a new effort at national unity.

In an exclusive interview with the Washington Examiner a day after being hit by a sniper’s bullet,Trump said he wanted to take advantage of a historic moment and draw the country together.

“The speech I was going to give on Thursday was going to be a humdinger,” Trump said. “Had this not happened, this would’ve been one of the most incredible speeches” aimed mostly at the policies of President Joe Biden.

“Honestly, it’s going to be a whole different speech now.”

He has switched, he said, from planning to excite his voter base to one thatdemonstrates his belief that the attack on him at a rally in Pennsylvania had changed the election campaign entirely. Both Republicans and Democrats have acknowledged this in the aftermath of Saturday’s shocking incident.

Trump said people all across the country from different walks of life and different political views have called him, and he noted that he was saved from death because he turned from the crowd to look at a screen showing data he was using in his speech.

“That reality is just setting in,” he said. “I rarely look away from the crowd. Had I not done that in that moment, well, we would not be talking today, would we?”

Talking as he boarded his plane in Bedminster, New Jersey, for Milwaukee, where the Republican National Convention starts Monday and lasts through Thursday, Trump said his speech will meet the moment that history demands.“It is a chance to bring the country together. Early Sunday morning, Trump posted on Truth Social that it was “God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening” and that he would “fear not.” Again, in talking to the Washington Examiner, he invoked “God” for his deliverance.

“This is a chance to bring the whole country, even the whole world, together. The speech will be a lot different, a lot different than it would’ve been two days ago,” he said.

The Washington Examiner’s interview with Trump had been due to take place on his airplane on the return flight from the rally to Bedminster. That arrangement put this reporter just feet from Trump when he was shot.

Trump hailed Corey Comperatore, the former fire chief who was shot and killed at the rally, and two other supporters, David Dutch and James Copenhaver, who were wounded and are recovering at a local hospital in stable condition.

Trump said his decision to raise his hand when the Secret Service was leading him offstage was to let the people there know he was OK “and that America goes on, we go forward, that we are strong,” he said.

The photograph of him holding his fist in the air, blood streaming across his face as the agents surrounded him, has already become the iconic image of the 2024 election.

If he speaks in Milwaukee of uniting the country, it would echo President Ronald Reagan, who, in 1981, projected strength as he, too, recovered from wounds (far graver than Trump’s) inflicted by a would-be assassin in Washington, D.C.

Another member of the left-leaning “Squad” in Congress is on the ropes — facing a 23 percentage-point deficit and possibly headed for defeat, a new poll claims.Rep. Cori Bush trails St. Louis prosecuting attorney Wesley Bell 56% to 33%in the Aug. 6 Democratic primary for Missouri’s 1st Congressional District, according to the survey conducted by McLaughlin & Associates for the CCA Action Fund.

It’s the latest troubling sign for the liberal “Squad” after New York Rep. Jamaal Bowman was soundly defeatedby moderate Westchester County Executive George Latimer in a June 25 Democratic primary in the 16th District stretching from Co-Op City in the Bronx to the leafy suburbs of Westchester County.

Bowman was the first member of the Squad — which includes Bronx/Queens Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) — to be defeated in a party primary.As in the Bowman-Latimer race, the Israel-Hamas war has figured prominently and brought out the contrasts between the candidates for the Missouri seat.

Like Bowman,Bush has been a staunch critic of Israel’s war tactics against Hamas in Gaza.

Bell said he supports Israel’s right to defend itself and target the Hamas militia for its sneak Oct. 7, 2023, attack against the Jewish state. Pro-Israel Democrats are backing Bell.

“Cori Bush has wasted her time in Congress to focus on her own fame in ‘The Squad’ — while her constituents suffer,” said Pastor Marc Little, spokesman for the anti-Bush CCA Action Fund, a super PAC. “This poll proves St. Louis wants a representative who will champion our community and its prosperity and safety, and who will defend America — not a Cori Bush who wants to tear it all down.”

Two-term incumbent Bush is viewed favorably by 50% of registered Democrats and unfavorably by 47%, the survey found.Some 51% of Democrats disapprove of her job performancewhile only 46% approve.

By comparison,Bell is viewed favorably by 70% of respondents and unfavorably by just 18%. The high negative ratings of her tenure among fellow Democrats is a problem for Bush, the pollsters said.

The survey of 300 likely Democratic voters was conducted between June 28 and July 1, via telephone interviews and texting. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 5.7 percentage points.

A survey conducted late last month found a tight race, with Bell leading Bush by just one point — 43% to 42%, within the margin of error. That poll was conducted by the Mellman Group for the group the Democratic Majority for Israel.

That poll too found Bell to be more popular and having a higher job performance rating than Bush.The Mellman Group accurately predicted in April that Latimer would trounce Bowman by double digits.

As in the Bowman-Latimer race, theAmerican Israel Public Affairs Committee and the Democratic Majority for Israel are spending money to try to elect Bell and oust Bush.AIPAC’s super PAC, the United Democracy Project, has already spent $4.2 million, according to AdImpact Politics. In the era of fifth generation cognitive warfare we have to take even greater care over our discernment of critical information and the world around us.

A false flag operation is generally defined as ”an act committed with the intent of disguising the actual source of responsibility and pinning blame on another party”

The phrase originates in naval warfare, when ships would literally fly a flag of another nation’s navy.

Historically speaking, they are covert military operations carried out with the aim of creating a cassus belli, either initiating, justifying or perpetuating a war.

The attack is very real, only the flag is false.

But recent years have seen the rise of a new idea – the false false flag. That is to say – entirely fake “events” with only the barest relationship to objective reality. Blanks and crisis actors, fake victims and fake shooters.

This concept has been the subject of discussion recently, with the civil suit against Alex Jones for calling Sandy Hook a “hoax” and the on-going trial of journalist Richard D Hall in the UK for suggesting the Manchester Arena bombing was fake. Similar suggestions have been raised about the Boston bombing of 2013 as well. Others, including Riley Waggaman, have raised questions about the recent “terrorist attack” in Moscow too.

Now, I’m not definitively claiming any or all of those events were faked – though of course they may have been. What I’m pointing up is the shift in discussion.

But then, we don’t need to look far for the greatest provably “fake event” in recent times: “Covid”, which was purely a construction of media hype and corrupt science creating an entirely fake pandemic.

Once you’ve absorbed all the facts of the case, that’s the only interpretation that stands up to scrutiny.

In fact it was such a vast infestation of fakery it spawned mini-fakes. It wasn’t so much a fake event as a flock of fakes of varying sizes.

Covid alone proves that the powers-that-be certainly do engage in staged or faked events. And, as highlighted in the first part of this series, it’s been known for decades that news reports are regularly faked, on both the small and large scale.

Yet, still, the question that gets asked whenever the possibility of fakery is invoked is “why?”

Why would a state apparatus with the power to really do something, opt to only pretend to do it?

This is a standard argument made against the idea of state-sponsored fakery, and although it is logically flawed as being purely an argument from incredulity, it is a question we can and probably should endeavour to answer.

So – why would the state, or powerful actors within the state, choose to fake something rather than simply do it?

Clearly we can rule out moral or ethical considerations. That shouldn’t require further explanation. The state has no objection to causing suffering, that has been demonstrated over and over again. It wouldn’t shrink from sponsoring a real terror event just because real people would end up dead.

The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia rejected a challenge last Friday from DISH Network and the nonprofit DarkSky, which sought to halt the deployment of SpaceX's second-generation Starlink network in low Earth orbit.

The crux of the issue was a December 2022 Federal Communications Commission approval of SpaceX's 7,500 next-gen Starlink satellites. Dish and DarkSky have opposed SpaceX's expanding satellite constellation in LEO, arguing these new satellites would produce too much light and potentially disrupt astronomy and wildlife.

Both parties joined forces to file a lawsuit in January 2023 to try and invalidate the FCC's order. Dish told the appeals court that the FCC essentially ignored evidence showing the second-generation Starlink satellites "will exceed the power flux-density limits" and potentially create radio interference.

But in Friday's ruling, the court said the FCC didn't need to consider Dish's evidence, which the court categorized as company-sponsored analysis rather than "smoking gun" evidence proving the interference risks. It also rejected Dish's assertion that the FCC had acted improperly.

"The commission's decision to license SpaceX's Gen2 Starlink satellites was lawful and reasonable. We therefore reject Dish's appeal," the decision says.

"Affirming an FCC decision to approve a SpaceX satellite constellation, the DC Circuit has rejected claims by the International Dark-Sky Association that sought to overturn the FCC decision on light pollution grounds," FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr wrote on X, adding, "Good news for satellite services."

Forty-six thousand Israeli businesses have been forced to close due to the ongoing war and its devastating impact on the economy, Hebrew-language newspaper Maariv reported on July 10, describing Israel as a "country in collapse."

"This is a very high number that encompasses many sectors. About 77 percent of the businesses that have closed since the beginning of the war, roughly 35,000, are small businesses with up to five employees, and are the most vulnerable in the economy," said Yoel Amir, CEO of CofaceBdi, an Israeli information services and credit risk management firm to Maariv.

The report highlights the most affected industries, with the construction sector and its related ecosystem, including ceramics, air conditioning, aluminum and building materials, experiencing significant damage according to CofaceBdi's risk ratings.

The trade sector, including services and industries such as fashion, furniture, housewares, entertainment, transport and tourism, has also been severely impacted. The report notes that "there is almost no foreign tourism," with business damage prevalent across the country, affecting almost every sector.

The agriculture sector has also been hit hard, with the most affected being those that operate to Israel's north and south, where active combat zones due to threats from Palestinian resistance and Lebanon's Hezbollah have affected operations. These regions' instability has further contributed to the economic downturn.

Amir estimates that by the end of 2024, 60,000 Israeli businesses could be shut down.

Hezbollah's attacks have severely disrupted local business and education in the north, forcing tens of thousands of settlers to evacuate. "Our goal of draining the enemy's economy has been achieved," Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah stated on July 10.

Additionally, the Yemeni army’s maritime operations have contributed to the economic decline, significantly reducing revenues at key ports like Eilat in the south.

Two current Yale College seniors and two Class of 2007 graduates were among the 37 American recipients of Gates Scholarships to pursue graduate study at the University of Cambridge next fall.

Rachel Boyd ‘09, William Schmidt ‘09, Vadim Tsipenyuk ‘07 and Usha Chilukuri ‘07 were chosen from a pool of 752 U.S. applicants.

The Gates Scholarship allows students from outside the United Kingdom to pursue graduate study at the University of Cambridge. The award is given “on the basis of a person’s intellectual ability, leadership capacity and desire to use their knowledge to contribute to society throughout the world by providing service to their communities and applying their talents and knowledge to improve the lives of others.”The Gates Cambridge Trust, which administers the scholarship program, was established in 2000 by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.The trust elects approximately 100 new scholars from all over the world each year.

The following are brief profiles of the winning Yale students:

Rachel Boyd

Boyd, who grew up in Brunswick, Maine, has been in love with Italy and all things Italian since she spent two years in Rome as a child. “That’s where I really first became interested in art,” she says.

Pursuing a double major in the history of art and Italian, she returned to Italy to spend a semester at the University of Bologna.

She became fascinated by the peculiar experience of tourists and artists from all over Europe, Great Britain in particular, who visited Rome in the 18th and 19th centuries. “They saw the ruins as I saw them - with foreign eyes,” she says.

Her area of research focuses on the neo-classical movement that grew out of this encounter with the world of ancient Rome.

In her last year at Yale, she is taking a painting course, because, she says, “as a curator, as a student of art history, it’s really helpful to have a sense of what goes into producing art.

“Painting is a lot harder than I thought it would be,” she confesses, though she adds that she’s really enjoying it.

Boyd served on the staff of the Yale Daily News as both a reporter on the arts beat and as a news editor, and she is a Yale Journalism Scholar.

At the Yale University Art Gallery she is currently serving an internship studying the 18th-century Italian neo-classical engraver Giovanni Piranesi. While working on her M.Phil. in Cambridge, she will do research on the British artists and architects who found inspiration in Rome. Before arriving in Cambridge, she says, she hopes to get a chance to visit Italy.

Boyd intends eventually to get a doctorate in art history, with the career goal of becoming a museum curator.

William Schmidt

A double major in psychology and English literature, Schmidt has found a calling in criminology.

He came to Yale from Richmond, Virginia, having already done neuroscience research in high school. “I always had an interest in the brain,” he says. He also has a “passion” for English literature, he notes.

One of the experiences that whetted Schmidt’s interest in criminology was a job he had this summer working on a “jail diversion program” in New Haven. The program addresses the criminalization of the mentally ill that followed the closing of state hospitals. Rather than send mentally disturbed criminals back to prison, where their condition will worsen, a volunteer/intern works on integrating the individual into a social network.

Schmidt cites the case of a woman with a history of drug abuse. Applying the “life skills” lessons she had learned through the program, she avoided relapsing on a particularly stressful day by organizing a trip to the beach with other students to build sand castles.

Vance in recent months has attempted to moderate his position on abortion, one of Republicans’ top vulnerabilities this election.

After referring to abortion as “murder” last year, and during his 2022 race saying he would vote for a national 15-week abortion limit, Vance more recently has praised Trump’s leave-it-to-the-states abortion platform, and said he shared Trump’s support of access to the mifepristone abortion pill.

Vance positioned himself this spring to be a top contender for Trump’s running mate, appearing as a surrogate for Trump on television and attending his Manhattan criminal trial as part of the former president’s entourage of supporters.

And he has shared in recent years a close relationship with Trump’s son, Don Jr., who was among those close to Trump praising Vance before his selection. Vance, who worked as a venture capitalist in San Francisco after law school, has relationships with wealthy donors. He has helped organize fundraisers for Trump this year featuring Silicon Valley types, including David Sacks and Chamath Palihapitiya, hosts of the popular “All In” podcast.

But Vance starts his candidacy as relatively unknown among the electorate. A national CNN/SSRS poll late last month found that 56 percent had never heard of him. And an additional 15 percent had heard of him but had no opinion about him.

Should the GOP prevail in November’s presidential race, Vance would be immediately tasked with negotiating with Republicans in Congress on behalf of Trump — a tough responsibility once shouldered by former Vice President Mike Pence.

But Vance will bring a different style than Pence to the ticket: The first-term Ohio Republican has emerged as a foil to GOP and Democratic leaders alike, criticizing the Senate’s bipartisan foreign aid package and holding up Justice Department nominees.

But Vance has also signed onto bipartisan deals, most notably a rail safety bill he worked on with his home state colleague Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), who is up for reelection this fall. At the same time, Vance backed Brown’s Republican opponent, Bernie Moreno, early in the election cycle. Trump endorsed Moreno in that race’s primary, a sign of the close political coordination between Trump and Vance.

If Trump and Vance win in November, Vance’s vacant Senate seat will befilled by Gov. Mike DeWine, a moderate Ohio Republican who has yet to endorse Trump this election.

Eventually, a special election would be held to replace Vance in Ohio, which tilts to the right.

One of the big questions that many have about the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump is how the shooter was able to get onto the roof, close enough to be able to shoot Trump and hit three other people, killing one and wounding two others. Plus, why, once he was spotted, wasn't he dealt with sooner, or why Trump wasn't rushed off the stage?

It would appear that someone dropped the ball in a severe failure.

Now Real Clear Politics' Susan Crabtree has some new information from sources within the Secret Service.

Crabtree said that Secret Service resources were diverted away from Trump's rally to Jill Biden's Pittsburgh event at the same time. She said this was done because of "agency protocol applying to Trump as a former president," according to two of her sources within the Secret Service community.

What the heck? So what they're saying is that because they were treating Trump just as a former president, not necessarily the current candidate with a lot of threats against him, Jill Biden was given priority over him.

That wasn't all. Additionally, Crabtree explained from another source in the Secret Service community there were problems because the team had a lot of replacements.

There were also many supplemental agents from different field offices who were not Trump's regular detail, providing security at the rally because Trump's regular detail has been overworked.

“Trump has a permanent detail, however it’s much smaller in the amount of bodies,” the source said. “His detail has been worked so hard with all the travel that they’re working 7 days a week with shift changes. so HQ sends in temp agents to supplement - not a good scenario. Mission Failure, IMHO.”

According to the report, there were only two counter-snipers.

“Peter would like to make another contribution to the PAC, this time for $1.5 million,” a top Thiel lieutenant wrote to strategists running a pro-Vance super PAC in an April 26 email, a copy of which was obtained by POLITICO. “We are planning to send the wire today, but before doing so I just wanted to confirm you have everything you need from us.”

With that previously unreported donation, Thiel had given $15 million in total to bolster Vance — the largest amount ever given to boost a single Senate candidate. YEMENI ARMY ATTACKS ISRAELI SHIP IN GULF OF ADEN, ISRAELI POSITIONS IN EILAT

The Yemeni army (backed by Ansar Allah movement aka Houthis) announced on July 14 that they had attacked an Israeli ship in the Gulf of Aden and Eilat area in southern occupied Palestine in response to the recent Israeli airstrikes in the Mawasi area in Khan Yunis.

According to a Yemeni army spokesman, the Yemeni army attacked MSC UNIFIC ships in the Gulf of Aden with several naval missiles and suicide drones.

“The naval forces, UAV, and the missile forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a joint operation targeting the Israeli ship (MSC UNIFIC) in the Gulf of Aden, with a number of ballistic missiles and drones,” Houthi military spokesman, Brigade General Yahya Saree, said in a statement.”

The spokesman also added the Yemeni army attacked Israeli positions in Um al-Rashrash (Eilat) with several suicide drones.

“The UAV Force carried out a targeting operation against number of military targets of the Israeli enemy in the Umm al-Rashrash area, south of occupied Palestine with a number of UAVs,” Yahya Sraee said. “The operation has successfully achieved its objectives, thanks to God.”

MSC UNIFIC is a container ship operating under the flag of Liberia. This ship was also attacked by several cruise missiles in the Arabian Sea last week.

On July 13, the Israeli regime targeted a designated humanitarian zone “al-Mawasi” in Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip. At least 71 Palestinians were martyred and more than 290 others were wounded.

The Israeli military aggression in the Gaza Strip has so far claimed the lives of more than 38,000 Palestinains, mostly women and children.

The AnsarAllah-backed Yemeni army emphasized that attacks on Israeli affiliated ship and Eilat were carried out in retaliation to the Al-Mawasi massacre in Khan Yunis.

It’s worth mentioning that the Houthis have attacked dozens of vessels affiliated with Israel or owned by the U.S. and the United Kingdom in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea since November in response to the Israeli war crime and siege on Gaza.

On the other side, the U.S. and the UK have carried out hundreds of strikes against Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen since January in response to these attacks. However, the military campaign failed to deter the Houthis or even to degrade their military capabilities.
