Harrington further detailed her concerns about the proposed monitoring team’s members.
“The list includes Ryan Germany, Raffensperger’s general counsel in 2020 Matt Mashburn, former SEB member who sicced the FBI on the author of the SEB2023-025 complaint Monica Childers, who worked on the hand count audit for Voting Works, whose software ARLO included fraudulent entries amounting to at least 4,081 false Biden votes,” Harrington wrote.
But there’s a problem. According to the documentation Harrington referenced, the establishment of such a team required prior agreement before a critical July 9 State Election Board meeting—a stipulation evidently bypassed by the county.
“Fulton County voted to approve this proposal yesterday. But there’s a problem. At the May 7 State Election Board meeting, a monitoring team was contingent on being agreed to BEFORE the July 9 meeting. This did not happen,” Harrington wrote. “Now they’re trying to ram through a 2020 Clean Up Crew to make sure 2024 is “legit,” she added.

Compromised data doesn’t include content of calls, messages
AT&T Inc. suffered a massive hack of customer data — separate from one reported earlier this year — that included records of calls and texts for nearly all of its mobile-phone users for a six-month period in 2022, one of the biggest breaches of private communications data in recent memory.
The company said in a regulatory filing Friday that the breach, which hasn’t been previously disclosed, also included those records from customers of wireless service providers that used AT&T’s network between May 1, 2022 and Oct. 31 of that year. The company said it learned in April that the information was illegally downloaded from a workspace on a third-party cloud platform, which a spokesperson identified as Snowflake Inc.
Records from Jan. 2, 2023 were also compromised for a “very small” number amount of customers, the company said.
The data doesn’t include the contents of the calls and messages, personal information such as birth dates and Social Security numbers, or the times of the calls, according to the filing. However, the records “identify the telephone numbers an AT&T or MVNO cellular number interacted with during these periods,” according to the filing, referring to wireless service providers that use AT&T’s network. Although the data doesn’t include customer names, there are “publicly available online tools” that can connect numbers with people’s identities, the company said.
While much remains unknown about the breach, it has the potential — if the data is released — to be devastating for some customers. That includes anyone who doesn’t want others knowing who they are calling, such as politicians, executives, activists, journalists and their sources.
Bloomberg News reported on April 1 that personal data from about 73 million current and former AT&T customers was leaked on the dark web. That data appeared to be from 2019 and earlier and isn’t connected to the breach reported Friday, a spokesperson told Bloomberg.

On Friday, AT&T said it didn’t believe the information from the latest breach has been released publicly.
An investigation was initiated that included cybersecurity experts and steps were taken to close off the illegal access point. AT&T has been working with law enforcement, and believes at least one person involved has been apprehended, according to the filing.
Last month, Snowflake said that hackers had targeted its customers. The intruders used stolen login details to access the accounts of as many as 165 Snowflake customers — including Lending Tree, Advanced Auto Parts Inc., Pure Storage Inc. and Ticketmaster — and steal data. The hackers didn’t breach Snowflake but used credentials that were available in places like cybercriminal forums to access customer accounts, which lacked security measures such as multifactor authentication.

A Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 airliner has crashed outside of Moscow, local officials have said. There were three crew members reported on board.
Local authorities told TASS that the plane crashed on Friday afternoon in the Kolomna district, some 80km southeast of the Russian capital, and that emergency services had been dispatched to the scene. The plane, which typically seats 87 to 98 passengers, belonged to Russian gas giant Gazprom, was undergoing repairs and had taken off as part of a test flight, they added.
A crew of three was on board, officials said.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry has confirmed the crash, adding that the plane fell in a forested area. “There were three crew members on the plane. According to preliminary information, they all died. There are no casualties among the population,” it said.
TASS initially reported that the Sukhoi Superjet 100 had taken off from Zhukovsky airfield for a fly-by. Later, however, it clarified that the jet had taken off from another nearby airfield, Lukovitsy, and was heading for Vnukovo International Airport. The agency’s source explained the mix-up by saying that another plane of the same type had taken off from Zhukovsky and was flying without incident.
The agency added that the aircraft that crashed had been produced in 2014 and delivered to Gazprom the next year, which was its sole operator.
Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency said that the incident would be investigated by the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) operating under the jurisdiction the Commonwealth of Independent States, which includes several post-Soviet republics. Russian experts will also be involved, it added.
Several hours after the incident, the head of the Kolomna district, Aleksander Grechischev, posted a video from where the plane came down. The clip shows a lot of felled trees and a number of emergency workers securing the area around the remains of the plane, which appears to have been mostly destroyed in the crash. Grechischev reiterated that there was no threat to nearby settlements.

Congress orders State Department to cover up Israel’s war crime death toll
On June 26, the United States House of Representatives passed an amendment barring the State Department from citing the Gaza Health Ministry’s death toll statistics for the Israel-Hamas war. Once signed into law, it will effectively halt discussions of the war's deaths.
The House voted 269-144 for a revision to the Department of State appropriations bill proposed by a bipartisan group led by Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL). A group of 62 Democrats joined all but two Republicans in voting for the measure. The provision "prohibits funds appropriated by this act to be made available for the State Department to cite statistics obtained from the Gaza Health Ministry."
The health ministry has been cited by the department and news agencies for decades amid conflict in Gaza. Its daily death toll during the current conflict that began in October has served as a primary source for understanding the war's impact on Palestinians in the territory. It is the only official entity tracking death data in Gaza.
Palestinian-American congresswoman Rashida Tlaib slammed the vote in Congress, which critics allege is an attempt to hide the scale of the devastation wreaked on Gaza by Israel. "Since 1948, Mr. Speaker, there has been a coordinated effort, especially in this chamber, to dehumanize Palestinians and erase Palestinians from existence," Tlaib said in a speech addressing the House before the vote. "My colleagues want to prohibit our own U.S. officials from even citing the Palestinian death toll."
The Michigan representative reminded her colleagues of the tens of thousands killed by Israel in Gaza, highlighting the number of children among those dead. "Six children are killed in Gaza every single hour. But Palestinians are not just numbers. Behind these numbers are real people, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters who have had their lives stolen from them and their families torn apart and we should not be trying to hide it," she added and then slammed the anti-Palestinian racism in their chamber.
"My colleagues don't even want to acknowledge that Palestinians exist at all. Not when they're alive, and now, not even when they're dead. It's absolutely disgusting. This is genocide denial," she lamented.
According to the health ministry's latest release, nearly 38,000 have died and 85,000 have been injured since Israel started its genocidal operations in Gaza last fall. Many of those injured have life-altering wounds. The United Nations Palestinian Aid Agency (UNRWA) estimates that over 2,000 children, or nearly ten per day, have lost legs since Oct. 7.
The agency also noted that the figure is likely an undercount, due to Gaza's lack of medical infrastructure and those missing and trapped under rubble. Its daily death toll also does not include underlying data and does not differentiate between civilians and combatants.
President Joe Biden even attempted to cast doubt on the reliability of the Gaza death toll numbers, suggesting the possibility that Hamas may have been manipulating the data. "I have no notion that the Palestinians are telling the truth about how many people are killed," Biden said in October, prompting Gaza's health authorities to publish a detailed list of the names and ages of the Palestinians killed by Israel at the time.

A report from the Wall Street Journal has found that private health insurance companies running Medicare Advantage programs have overcharged the federal government by up to $50 billion by claiming that their patients are worse off than they actually were.
Medicare Advantage, also known as Medicare Part C, is a program in which private insurers provide supplementary, Medicare-approved health insurance plans that, in theory, are intended to incentivize private insurers to provide healthcare to patients with complex medical conditions.
The government pays insurers a base rate of $3,735 for each member enrolled on Medicare Advantage. Health insurance companies are entitled to extra payments when their patients are diagnosed with certain conditions that are costly to treat.
For example, insurers receive an additional $2,370 for Medicare Advantage members with morbid obesity, $2,541 for atrial fibrillation, $2,180 for stroke, $2,086 for seizures, $1,422 for prostate cancer, $1,280 for chest pains and $654 for kidney disease.
Medicare Advantage was created assuming that private, for-profit health insurance companies could use the program to provide healthcare more efficiently. Instead, the system has given insurers an incentive to search their patients for additional diagnoses they could stick on them, leading to patients seeming sicker on paper.
This has led Medicare Advantage spending to balloon. Now, it costs taxpayers more than $450 billion, and spending in the program now accounts for more than half of all Medicare spending and has proven to be more expensive than the regular Medicare system it has ended up supplanting.

As Europe becomes Islamized, Jews should jump ship and move to Israel
The changing face of Europe leaves the Jews of Europe with no way out; they have but one insurance policy: Israel’s Law of Return.
Over the past month, three important elections were held in Europe: On Sunday in France; last week in the United Kingdom; and around a month ago in the European Union Parliament. Their results mark an inflection point in an ongoing process that casts a pall over the future of the Jews in Europe.
In the 19th century, the Jewish people were distinctly European. Europe was home to 90% of the world’s Jews at the time of the First Zionist Congress. Today only about 9% of Jews live there, about one and a quarter million.
At the same time, Europe is becoming Islamized at a rapid pace. Over 5% of the European Union residents are Muslims – one in 20 – and the continued massive immigration and high Muslim birth rates in Europe (three times that of other Europeans) indicate a clear demographic trend.

Samantha Power, the US government’s top humanitarian aid official, will visit Israel and the Palestinian Authority later this week, according to a Jewish Insider report published on Wednesday.
Power, the Administrator of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), last visited Israel nearly five months ago in February. During her upcoming visit, she will meet with Israeli officials from the Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), the Israeli unit in the Defense Ministery that oversees aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip, the policy bureau of Israel’s Defense Ministry, and members of the Israel Defense Force.

The Big Tech companies are the largest and most dominant companies in the information technology industry of the United States, namely Amazon, Apple, Google, Facebook, and Microsoft. In fact, Big Tech’s growth in wealth and influence over the last decade has surpassed the wealth and influence of the Big Media companies (covered in Chapter 2).
Where did these companies come from? We are told that Big Tech companies were started by brilliant men, mostly in California, in the area now commonly known as Silicon Valley. Through their hard work and determination, these companies were able to rise from garages and college dorms to become the giants we know them as today.
But, this version of events is cartoonish at best and an outright deception at worst.
Nearly every Big Tech tool you use today was funded, in part, by the US intelligence community and supported in various ways by the US government itself.
The rise of the Big Tech companies is not a fairy tale of free market success, but rather a dark and disturbing story of corporate welfare and deep ties to the intelligence community. In fact, most of the digital tools you use – including cell phones, GPS, and the internet itself started out as tools for the military. These tools were designed by the US Department of Defence, under the direction of the Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency or DARPA.

Trove Of Biden Docs Details How DHS Planned To Crack Down On Conservative Voices, Law Group Says
America First Legal (AFL) made public a trove of documents that reveal a coordinated effort within the Biden administration to crack down on the free speech of its political opponents, according to the conservative law group.
AFL obtained the documents through legal action taken against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) over its now-defunct Homeland Intelligence Experts Group. The group coordinated with an advisory body led by former intelligence officials John Brennan and James Clapper on ways to combat “domestic terrorism,” which includes cracking down on political dissent, according to AFL.
“The American people need to read these records and our exposé of the Biden Administration’s efforts to further weaponize the government to achieve their objectives. This ‘committee,’ stacked with the Administration’s allies, was formed in violation of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, and we were proud to have stopped its activities. Now, it is up to Congress to stop the Biden Administration from further using these same actors to advance their radical agenda at the DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis,“ America First Legal Executive Director Gene Hamilton said in a statement.
AFL has released some of the documents over recent weeks as part of a “#DeepStateDiaries” series on how the DHS intelligence group planned to operate, including creating campaigns, working with local authorities to spread its message, and convincing popular podcasters to endorse its aims. The conservative legal group released dozens of pages of emails, notes, and other documents it obtained through the course of litigation over the DHS group on Thursday.
DHS disbanded the Homeland Intelligence Experts Group in May after legal action by AFL. The group was formed in September 2023 to “provide advice and perspectives on intelligence and national security efforts.”
“It was not intended to provide unbiased, expert advice to advance the Department of Homeland Security’s mission,” the AFL in a releaseannouncing the DHS group’s fall. “Instead, it was a deeply partisan group designed to provide top cover for the Department’s radical agenda under Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas.”
The DHS group was advised by a body led by Brennan, a former head of the CIA, and Clapper, who served as Director of National Intelligence under former president Barack Obama. Both Brennan and Clapper were signatories to a 2020 letter by intelligence experts that suggested that information gained from Hunter Biden’s laptop, abandoned at a Delaware computer repair store, was likely Russian disinformation.
The laptop has since been independently authenticated numerous times over by various outlets and experts.

For several weeks officials from the United States administration of President Joe Biden have led the international community to believe once again that an end to the fighting in Gaza was imminent.
Nonetheless, as in recent months, movement towards ending the occupation of Gaza and the efforts to secure a permanent cessation of hostilities remain elusive.
The reality is that the Biden administration is still sending weapons and bombs to Tel Aviv which are being utilized to inflict terror upon the Palestinian people on a daily basis. During a press conference held in the aftermath of the NATO Summit in Washington, D.C., Biden emphasized that the administration has not wavered in its support of the State of Israel.
His slight references to a ceasefire and the need for a two-state solution was no different than the same rhetoric enunciated by successive administrations, both Democrat and Republican, for decades. Biden said that the war must end while never citing the 76-year occupation, ethnic cleansing and genocide as the underlying causes of the ongoing crisis.
Official statistics from the Health Ministry in Gaza indicate that more than 38,000 Palestinians have been killed and approximately 88,000 wounded after nine months of the most recent genocidal onslaught beginning after October 7. The entire length and breath of the Gaza Strip is filled with displaced persons. (See this)
Several examples of recent massacres provide a clear assessment of the devastating impact of U.S. foreign policy which props-up the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in Gaza. The almost daily evacuation orders given by the Israeli military reinforces the overall insecurity of the Palestinians.

The first-ever Olympic Esports Games are coming in 2025, and of course they're being held in Saudi Arabia
A year after putting on an Olympic esports event that didn't include any actual esports games, the International Olympic Committee has joined up with the National Olympic Committee of Saudi Arabia to do it for real in the first-ever Olympic Esports Games, set to be held in 2025.
The Olympic Esports deal between the IOC and Saudi Arabia is set to run for 12 years, with events held "regularly" over the duration.
"We are very fortunate to be able to work with the Saudi NOC on the Olympic Esports Games, because it has great —if not unique—expertise in the field of esports with all its stakeholders," IOC president Thomas Bach said in the announcement (via Insider Gaming). "The Olympic Esports Games will greatly benefit from this experience.
"By partnering with the Saudi NOC we have also ensured that the Olympic values are respected, in particular, with regard to the game titles on the programme, the promotion of gender equality and engagement with the young audience, which is embracing esports."
That's pretty rich given that Saudi Arabia recently sentenced women's rights activist Manahel al-Otaibi to 11 years in prison for crimes like calling for an end to the country's oppressive guardianship law and "going to the shops without wearing an abaya."
But never mind that: Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, Saudi Arabia's minister of sport and president of its Olympic committee, said the deal represents "a new chapter in Olympic history that has the potential to inspire new dreams and new ambitions for literally millions of athletes around the world."
"As a ‘first’ ever Esports Olympic Games, obviously there is still much to consider and plan with the IOC, but we are committed to hosting a special event that respects and celebrates the Olympic values while boldly seizing the momentum to drive esports forward with the international platform the sport and its athletes deserve," Al Faisal said.
Saudi Arabia has indeed become a major player on the esports scene, and videogames in general. In 2022, major esports organizer ESL Gaming and tournament platform FACEIT were both acquired by the country's Public Investment Fund, which has also made significant investments into Electronic Arts, Embracer Group, Take-Two Interactive, Nexon, Capcom, and Nintendo.
The Olympic esports deal comes amidst what the IOC described as "a time of significant growth of sport overall in Saudi Arabia," which has driven a significant rise in sports participation at all levels amongst men and women alike. The announcement notes particularly that there are now "over 330,000 registered female athletes and nearly 40 women’s national teams competing internationally," and that "reforms to regulations ensure there is female representation on the boards of all sports federations."
"Witnessing the growing trends of female participation in esports is very exciting," IOC member Princess Reema Bandar Al-Saud said. "I had the honour of working towards women’s empowerment in sport and in society as whole under Vision 2030, and the leadership of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and I’ve witnessed firsthand the tremendous positive impact of sport for women and girls."
Bin Salman, who is credibly accused by multiple intelligence agencies of ordering the murder and dismemberment of journalist and regime critic Jamal Khashoggi, said in a 2023 Fox News interview that he doesn't care about accusations that he's using "sportswashing" to distract from his government's "horrific" abuses of human rights. "If sportswashing going to increase my GDP by way of one percent, then I will continue doing sportwashing. I don't care," he said.
The deal between Saudi Arabia and the IOC, which has faced its own laundry list of corruption allegations over the years, is complete, but there's still much work to be done, including selecting a city and venue for the event, determining which games will be included, and who will be allowed to compete. The IOC will also create "a new dedicated structure within its organization" to operate the Olympic Esports Games.

As President Joe Biden tries to talk with Democratic lawmakers and relieve their concerns, a virtual meeting with members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus on Friday appears to have caused more problems than it solved.
For starters, Biden showed up an hour late to the Zoom call, according to a source familiar with the meeting, and it didn’t get much better from there.
Organizers of the Zoom meeting had said only two members were allowed to ask questions — Reps. Sylvia Garcia and Lou Correa — but Biden opened the floor up to more questions, the source familiar with the call told NOTUS. At least the president tried to open up the meeting to more questions.
The source said the campaign tightly controlled who could ask a question on the call. Reps. Gabe Vasquez and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez both used the “raise hand” feature on the Zoom call,and both had their hands lowered by organizers of the call and were not allowed to speak, the source said.
Of the lawmakers who did get to ask Biden a question, Correa told Biden that Latino voters need to hear from him and urged the president to “talk to these families and say to them, there is a pathway in my second administration for all of you that have been here for decades, that have followed the laws, that have paid taxes to be part of the American dream,” according to a partial transcript of the call obtained by NOTUS.
Biden responded that he strongly agreed “with every word you just said, not a joke.” “I’m being deadly earnest,” Biden said, according to the transcript.
“We’re in a situation where, that’s why I used the executive action, for example, to make sure that over a million Latinos who are married to an American citizen are, get complete access to citizenship, and get — you get a green card now,” Biden said, claiming that would “change the dynamic in a big way.”
Of the Democrats who weren’t preordained to speak but were still able to ask a question was Rep. Mike Levin. Levin’s question, however, was more of a comment:He said it was time for someone else to lead the party, and he called on Biden to step down as the nominee.
The president responded by trying to ease concerns about his age.
“That’s — that was great when you were feeling good, Biden, are you OK now? That’s what’s underlying,” Biden said, according to the partial transcript.
“That’s what people are worried about. ‘I’ve got a grandfather who’s 85 years old, and he can’t walk.’ It’s a legitimate concern for people, but that’s why I think it’s important I gotta get out and show people everything from how well I move to how much I know and that I’m still in good charge.”
Biden said he had time for one more question. But the host — Rep. Linda T. Sánchez — ended the meeting anyway.
Still, Levin managed to get the last word. Soon after the call, the San Diego-area congressman became the 19th congressional Democrat to call on Biden to withdraw from the race.
The Biden campaign declined to comment on this story.

Exclusive: Labour’s top team has accepted hundreds of thousands of pounds from pro-Israel funders.
Pro-Israel lobbyists have donated to 13 out of Labour’s 25 cabinet members since they were first elected to parliament, Declassified can reveal.
The list of recipients includes prime minister Keir Starmer, his deputy Angela Rayner, chancellor Rachel Reeves, foreign secretary David Lammy and home secretary Yvette Cooper.
Jonathan Reynolds, who will oversee arms exports to Israel as UK trade secretary, is another beneficiary, alongside Labour’s election mastermind Pat McFadden, whose responsibilities now include national security.
Some of the donations were provided by Labour Friends of Israel (LFI), a lobby group which takes MPs on “fact-finding” missions to the region.
Reeves, McFadden, Reynolds and technology secretary Peter Kyle were recently listed as vice-chairs of LFI.
Other major funders include pro-Israel businessmen Trevor Chinn and Stuart Roden.
The total value of the donations amounts to over £300,000.

Let’s cut to the chase: So, who’s gonna win the election?
Well, honestly, we don’t know — but we can give you our best probabilistic guess. This is the landing page for the 2024 Silver Bulletin presidential election forecast. It will always contain the most recent data from the model.1
The model is the direct descendant of the f/k/a FiveThirtyEight election forecast2 and the methodology is largely the same, other than removing COVID-19 provisions introduced for 2020. (Other changes are documented here.3) If you’ve received this post by email or are viewing it on the Substack app, we strongly recommend that you instead use the web version for interactive charts. Charts in the app don’t update when we add new data, so switch over to your browser to see our most up-to-date forecast.
Polling averages are free for all readers, while forecasts, probabilities, and additional detail on model inputs require a paid subscription.

🕒 Last update: 1:45 p.m, Friday, July 12: Today’s a good example of the importance of house effects.Two new national polls came out, with Biden trailing Trump by only 1 point in a Marist poll, but by 6 points in a Rasmussen survey. (FYI: this is in the version with third-party candidates included — that’s always the version our model uses.) However, Marist has given Biden some of his best numbers all cycle and Rasmussen some of his worst. (As it typically does; Rasmussen has a long history of strongly Republican-leaning numbers.)
Adjust for that, as our model does, and both polls are consistent with a world in which Biden trails Trump by around 3 points nationally, which implies a poor position in the Electoral College. In fact, Biden’s Electoral College win probability is the lowest to date in our forecast, having slipped to about 1-in-4.
The polls: who’s ahead right now?
The Silver Bulletin polling averages are a little fancy. They adjust for whether polls are conducted among registered or likely voters, the presence or absence of RFK Jr., and house effects. They weight more reliable polls more heavily. And they use national polls to make inferences about state polls and vice versa. It requires a few extra CPU cycles — but the reward is a more stable average that doesn’t get psyched out by outliers.

The forecast: so you’re telling me there’s a chance?
Needless to say, stranger things have happened than a candidate who was behind in the polls winning. And in America’s polarized political climate, most elections are close and a candidate is rarely out of the running. So here is how our model translates polls and the other inputs it uses into probabilities in the Electoral College and the popular vote in every state — plus some nightmare scenarios like a repeat of the 2000 Florida recount. (It’s more likely than you might think, alas.) We’re not afraid of playing the percentages here — even to the decimal place.
