Sailors assigned to the Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group (IKECSG) airlifted the crew of a merchant vessel attacked by Iranian-backed Houthis in the Red Sea, June 15.

The Liberian-flagged, Greek-owned bulk cargo carrier M/V Tutor was struck by an Iranian-back Houthi uncrewed surface vessel (USV) while sailing in the international waters of the Southern Red Sea, June 12. The attack caused severe flooding and damage to the engine room. One civilian mariner remains missing.

A helicopter from Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 74 airlifted 24 civilian mariners from Tutor to Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Philippine Sea (CG 58). From there, helicopters from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 7 transported the group to USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69). After being medically checked on IKE, the mariners were flown ashore for follow-on care.

“It’s humbling to watch the Strike Group provide assistance and rescue the crew of M/V Tutor,” said Rear Adm. Marc Miguez, commander, IKECSG, Carrier Strike Group 2. “We are always prepared to help; it is the right thing to do."

“Despite these senseless attacks on innocent mariners just doing their job, the Philippine Sea crew stand ready to help preserve safety of life at sea, always,” said Capt. Steven Liberty, Philippine Sea’s commanding officer.

On June 13, HSM-74 aircraft from Philippine Sea medically evacuated a severely injured civilian mariner from M/V Verbena to a nearby partner force ship for medical attention. Palau-flagged, Ukrainian-owned Verbena was sailing in the Gulf of Aden when it was struck by two anti-ship cruise missiles fired from Houthi-controlled territory in Yemen.

IKECSG is operating in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to support maritime stability and security in the Middle East region.

But you have to give the guy credit. Mr. Obama paved the way for America’s REAL first social media president — one who was smart enough and strong enough to use his independent power against the government machine.

This is why they are willing to put Donald Trump in jail rather than face him in an election.

While most politicians (e.g., Mr. Obama and President Biden) come to Washington as paupers to gain power, fame and wealth, Mr. Trump already has those things. He earned them the hard way. He owes nothing to Washington.

In fact, Washington has done nothing for Mr. Trump but drain his wealth, attack his family, and threaten his very life and freedom.

Mr. Trump’s independence from the Washington political-government-media complex was on shining display last week when he sat down for an hourlong interview at his Mar-a-Lago estate with TV therapist Phil McGraw. You would be hard-pressed to find anyone in the entertainment world more stridently apolitical than “Dr. Phil,” whose TV career has been devoted to helping people find sensible solutions to improve their lives.

Mr. Trump’s political appeal has proved so durable — his solutions so sensible — that even the apolitical, problem-solving TV therapist could no longer ignore him.

The interview began breezily with the two men discussing their long history in American popular entertainment. They talked about their mutual friend Oprah Winfrey. “She loved my Key lime pie,” Mr. Trump mused.

And their shared respect for famous TV executive Roger King, whose funeral was held at Mar-a-Lago. “It’s the only funeral we’ve ever had at Mar-a-Lago,” Mr. Trump recalled. “I said, ‘Maybe we can do a new business here.’”

When they got down to the issues, Mr. McGraw asked Mr. Trump about his commonsense solutions that have already proved to work for addressing high gasoline prices, exploding inflation, an open border, unfair taxes, foreign wars, and crime.

Mr. Trump promised a massive deportation program to reverse Mr. Biden’s open border catastrophe but said he welcomes legal immigration.

US accuses Iran of ignoring Red Sea distress call from vessel hit by Houthi strike

The Ukrainian-owned, Polish-operated MV Verbena has been on fire since Thursday, when it was struck by two missiles fired by the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. The crew abandoned the ship on Saturday, after failing to contain the blaze, and were rescued by another civilian vessel.

“MV Anna Meta responded to render assistance. Anna Meta has recovered the mariners and is transporting them to safety,” US Central Command said.

The Houthis have carried out hundreds of attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea since November, claiming to be acting in support of Hamas and demanding that Israel ends its war in Gaza. About 12 per cent of global trade passes across the Red Sea.

An Iranian warship, the IRIN Jamaran, was about 14km away from the Verbena when it sent a distress signal, but did not respond, Centcom said.

“The Iranian frigate IRIN Jamaran was eight nautical miles from MV Verbena and did not respond to the distress call," it said.

The Jamaran has a maximum speed of 30 knots, so could have reached the Verbena in minutes. The ship was struck about 160km east of Aden, said the Joint Maritime Information Centre, which co-ordinates between military and commercial shipping.

Xinhua reported, citing the US National Transportation Safety Board's statement on social media X that it is investigating the crash of a Lockheed L12 aircraft near Chino, a city in the western end of San Bernardino County, about 55 km east of Downtown Los Angeles.

I say this because it is my sense that the Democrats, deep state, and their media enablers are all in rough shape and have no other way out but to fall back on their usual criminal methods of retaining power. I find it impossible to believe that President Biden will be the Democratic nominee, and if he is, that he can win. What do the Democrats do? They certainly can’t substitute Kamala Harris for Biden; she’s tanked in opinion polls even lower and faster than has Biden.

The United States and Ukraine signed a 10-year security assistance pact during the G7 Summit on Friday. The pact commits the US to training and equipping Ukrainian forces through the expulsion of Russian forces from Ukraine and beyond.

With the signing of this 10-year agreement, the United States and Ukraine will work together to:

Build and maintain Ukraine’s credible defense and deterrence capability. The agreement lays out a vision for a Ukrainian future force that is strong, sustainable, and resilient. The United States and Ukraine will deepen security and defense cooperation and collaborating closely with Ukraine’s broad network of security partners. We will support the full range of Ukraine’s current defensive needs now and over the long term by helping Ukraine win the war and strengthening its deterrence capabilities against future threats. Strengthen Ukraine’s capacity to sustain its fight over the long term, including by building on efforts to bolster in Ukraine’s defense industrial base, and supporting its economic recovery and energy security.

Accelerate Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration, including through Ukraine’s implementation of reforms to its democratic, economic, and security institutions in line with its EU accession goals and NATO’s program of reforms.

Achieve a just peace that respects Ukraine’s rights under international law, is underwritten by broad global support, upholds the key principles of the UN Charter, including sovereignty and territorial integrity, and includes accountability for Russia’s actions.

Consult in the event of a future Russian armed attack against Ukraine at the highest levels to determine appropriate and necessary measures to support Ukraine and impose costs on Russia.

This agreement, together with the mutually reinforcing security agreements and arrangements Ukraine has signed with a broad network of partners under the G7 Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine, is a key part of Ukraine’s bridge to NATO membership. As President Biden said in Vilnius last year and as NATO allies have agreed, Ukraine’s future is in NATO. We are not waiting for the NATO process to be completed to make long-term commitments to Ukraine’s security to address the immediate threats they face and deter any aggression that may occur.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) published an article on Thursday calling for a “reinvention” of the global food supply and praising “alternative proteins” made by “animal-free” products.

The WEF is an international advocacy organization founded by Klaus Schwab that seeks to bring world leaders together “to shape global, regional and industry agendas.” The organization has been criticized in the past for publishing an article encouraging people to eat bugs to “reduce climate change.”

In Thursday’s article, titled “Feeding the future: why Renovation and Reinvention are key to saving our food system,” WEF New Frontiers of Nutrition Project Fellow Juliana Weltman Glezer laments the greenhouse gas emissions caused by food production and warns of a 60% increase in food demand when the worldwide population hits 10 billion.

“Many of the ways we grow, manufacture and consume food are causing a dual crisis of human and environmental health, and the complexity will only intensify,” Glezer wrote.

“The food transition aims to reshape the way society produces, distributes, consumes and discards food – a transformation that will impact the mutual advancement of human and environmental health,” the article added.

The article then compared an overhaul of the food system to the global transition to renewable energy, such as solar and wind power and electric vehicles.

“The food transition involves a similarly comprehensive transformation, with two different stages of change: Renovation and Reinvention,” Glezer wrote. “While Renovation makes incremental improvements across the food value chain, Reinvention aims for systemic change: the fully scaled reorientation of food production in a way that alters the underlying structures within the modern food industry.”

In the article, the author puts forward a two-step plan to reshape the global food supply: “Renovate recipes and packages” and “Reinvent the system.” The first step calls for the “immediate reduction of more harmful ingredients and components in our food, including excessive levels of salt, sugar, fat and additives.” Glezer writes the world can “mitigate adverse effects on pubic health” by reformulating nutrition.

“Renovation could also mean adding probiotics to an existing product to improve microbiome health,” the article adds.

In the second step, “reinventing the system,” the WEF writer praises companies such as Nestlé that have developed “animal-free protein powder.” Nestlé said in 2022 that its “animal-free” product is made through fermentation and “is identical to the whey protein found in cow’s milk.”

US Passports Can Now Be Renewed Online: State Department

The agency outlined certain conditions required for applying for passports online as it launched a beta trial for online passport renewals.

U.S. citizens can now renew their passports online, but the service is currently restricted to a limited set of applicants.

On June 12, the U.S. Department of State announced a beta trial of its online passport renewal system. Americans looking to renew their passports can visit mytravel.state.gov. However, the agency is allowing only a limited number of people to apply online during the beta trial period. The renewal system will open each day at midday (ET) and will close once the daily limit is reached.

“During the next several months, we plan to continue to limit the number of applications accepted each day so we can monitor the system’s performance in real time. This beta release during which we are limiting the daily applications is an important and standard part of the software development process,” the department said.

To apply online, the applicant must be 25 years or older and have a passport that has been valid for 10 years. The passport must have been issued between 2009 and 2015. The renewal application should not request a change in name, date of birth, place of birth, or gender.

The online renewal service is only available for a regular tourist passport. Special issuance passports, such as those used for diplomatic or official purposes, cannot be renewed online.

NASA’s Hubble Restarts Science in New Pointing Mode

NASA successfully transitioned operations for the agency’s Hubble Space Telescope to an alternate operating mode that uses one gyro, returning the spacecraft to daily science operations Friday.

The telescope and its instruments are stable and functioning normally.

Hubble went into safe mode May 24 due to an ongoing issue with one of its gyroscopes (gyros), which measure the telescope’s slew rates and are part of the system that determines and controls the direction the telescope is pointed.

The gyro had been increasingly returning faulty readings over the past six months, suspending science operations multiple times.

This led the Hubble team to transition from a three-gyro operating mode to observing with only one gyro, enabling more consistent science observations and keeping another operational gyro available for future use.

The agency discussed this transition in detail during a media teleconference June 4.

The team will continue monitoring the problematic gyro to see if it stabilizes and can be used again in the future.

Although there are some minor limitations to observing in one-gyro mode, Hubble can continue doing most of its science observations.

Further refinements to optimize operations are anticipated as the team gains more experience with the one-gyro mode.

Launched in 1990, Hubble has more than doubled its expected design lifetime, and has been observing the universe for more than three decades, recently celebrating its 34th anniversary.

I’m the Governor of Nevada. This Is Why Trump Is Doing So Well With Our Voters.

When Nevadans aren’t happy with the economy and their families’ ability to prosper, they often vote to make a change. In the 2022 elections, I was the only candidate in the country to unseat an incumbent governor of either party. What I heard most on the campaign trail from voters then was the importance of building a stronger economy, particularly the need for good-paying jobs and lower taxes.

Kitchen-table politics are once again demonstrating power in Nevada, as polling shows former President Donald Trump with a sizable lead over President Biden. Nevadans continue to struggle under the weight of inflation, so it does not surprise me to see their frustrations manifest in support for changing our president.

When I took office, Nevada was grappling with the economic hangover of the pandemic. In the following months, we lowered our main business tax by 15 percent, vetoed tax increases, eliminated red tape through executive orders and empowered the Governor’s Office of Economic Development to create competitive incentive packages. The results: We generated $5 billion in new private-sector economic investment, led the nation in annual job growth and created thousands of new jobs in our state. The state has also used federal pandemic relief money to help fund some programs.

Yet many people here are still suffering from higher costs, largely as a result of the Biden administration’s failure to rein in national inflation. Since Mr. Biden took office, prices have risen 19 percent, a major factor in real average weekly earnings dropping 4 percent. This type of economic turmoil is simply unsustainable for Nevada families.

This is especially true when it comes to the cost of housing in Nevada. As I outlined in a recent letter to the president, the median home listing price in Las Vegas was $342,995 in January 2021, but by this year that price had skyrocketed to $460,000. With today’s high interest rates imposed by the Federal Reserve, prospective home buyers getting a Federal Housing Administration loan with a 3.5 percent down payment could expect the cost for a median home in the Las Vegas area to be around $2,900 per month at the market interest rate of 6.71 percent — over twice the market interest rate and monthly cost in January 2021. The average salary in Nevada is $55,070, but Nevadans now need to make at least $111,557 to afford the monthly mortgage payment for the median home.

Further exacerbating our housing crisis, the Biden administration hasn’t released additional federal land for housing development in Nevada. The federal government controls more than 80 percent of the land in Nevada, and while Nevadans enjoy public access to much of this space for things like recreation, agriculture and mining, the reality of this ownership surrounding the urban areas of the state is a limiting factor on the development of new housing options. The land available for development in Las Vegas is currently expected to run out by 2032.

I have been calling for new and speedier processes to transfer federal land in urban areas into state and private hands for attainable housing development for the past year, but the president has instead focused on further restricting the use of land in Nevada by unilaterally designating a national monument 500,000 acres in size — two and a half times the size of New York City.

As I wrote to Mr. Biden, if he released 50,000 acres around Las Vegas (the equivalent of 10 percent of his new national monument), this land would provide for the potential construction of up to 335,000 homes. While our state suffered from overbuilding during the financial crisis, our economy and population have grown exponentially since then, with Nevada becoming one of the fastest-growing states in the country.

Nevada, as a matter of history, was born from battle and forged by determination. From the desert, our state built a mecca of world-class hospitality and entertainment — Nevadans know what hard work looks like.

And Nevadans don’t expect things to be easy. But they expect a fair shake. An average Nevadan should be able to afford gas and groceries, purchase a home and plan for retirement, but too many residents are struggling to do so, which is leading some to support Mr. Trump’s candidacy. Congress’s Joint Economic Committee estimates that inflation is costing Nevadans an extra $1,199 per month to purchase the same goods and services as in January 2021. Since Mr. Biden took office, groceries are up 20.6 percent, rent is up 21.6 percent and gas is up 46.99 percent. …

The launch utilized a Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket, marking its 326th mission and the 40th SpaceX mission of 2024.

The booster, designated B1080, achieved its 7th flight and 297th successful recovery, underscoring yet another success in reusable rocket technology.

The video in this post was shot on that day, during the launch of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket for the Starlink mission 6-52 from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida.

The video opens with a view from the cockpit of an F-22 Raptor. The camera angle provides a clear view of the landscape below, the coastal region of Florida near Kennedy Space Center.

At 00:56, as the rocket ignites and lifts off, the F-22s are seen flying in a protective pattern around the launch area.

As the rocket climbed, the two F-22 Raptors escorted the Falcon 9 going vertical in full afterburner up to an altitude of 18,000 feet, providing a breathtaking and unique aerial perspective.

After reaching this altitude, the two 5th generation stealth jets veered off and flew west towards the 2024 Orlando Air Show.

Researchers have discovered an ancient military base that may corroborate a Bible story about God's angels fending off an attack on Jerusalem.

The tale says that around 2,700 years ago, the Lord sent a messenger angel to fight an army of Assyrian soldiers who came to conquer the Holy Land. The Angel of the Lord is then said to have descended on the invading military and killed 185,000 soldiers in a single night.

There has not been any archaeological evidence that the supernatural event - or even the battle - actually happened. Now, using modern mapping techniques, archaeologist Stephen Compton claims he has found more evidence the epic battle took place.

The Assyrian Empire operated from 1365 to 609 BC, hundreds of years before the time of Christ. The invasion of Jerusalem was driven by the empire's king Sennacherib who wanted to assert his political and economic dominance over all routes across the Syrian Desert that led to the Mediterranean Sea.

Researchers had previously discovered a scene carved into the stone walls of the King Sennacherib's palace, which celebrated his conquest of Lachish, a city 42 miles south of Jerusalem. The carvings showed how the military base was laid out, allowing Compton to compare it to photos taken of the area in the 1910s.

He noticed an area that was the same size and shape as the drawings on the palace wall which led to ruins containing the remains of a perimeter wall and pottery shards.

After conducting an archaeological survey of the site, Compton determined that it was abandoned after Sennacherib's invasion and that humans hadn't inhabited the area for at least 2,600 years.

The finding has paved the way for researchers to locate other similar military sites in the area and they hope it will lead to uncovering ancient cities that were destroyed by the Assyrian Empire.

In 2021, Compton wrote in a post on X, then-Twitter, that he had discovered the location of Sennacherib's military camps. 'Each was a round site a little over a mile north of the respective old city walls and each bore the same Arabic name on at least one early map, 'Mudawwara,' he wrote.

The location also signified that it was the site where Sennacherib's forces planned their attack because it was called Khirbet al Mudawwara in Arabic, meaning 'The ruins of the camp of the invading ruler.' Before Compton discovered the Assyrian site, researchers had only encountered one other ancient military campsite in the area.

The secondary site was occupied during the Roman siege of Jerusalem and its layout gave researchers a way to compare the layout of its military camp to the Assyrians. 'Roman military camps were always rectangular, whereas this was oval, the characteristic shape of Assyrian camps,' Compton wrote in a press release.

The methods Compton used to find Sennacherib's camp site has led to the discovery of other Assyrian military camps. 'In some cases, it has also been possible to use the newly discovered camps to locate the sites of ancient cities that were known to have been besieged by the Assyrians but whose locations were unknown or uncertain,' Compton wrote.

Kiwi families say they have been left thousands of dollars out of pocket after a company organising to send children to a US space camp collapsed.

Actura charged up to $13,000 for children from 25 New Zealand schools to attend a two-week Case Space School Program at the Nasa headquarters in Houston, Texas.

However, parents received an email yesterday morning from company boss Charles Chung that said that Actura Australia had gone into liquidation and that 2024 and 2025 international study programs - including Case Space School, Case Ocean School and Case Film & Arts School expeditions - were cancelled.

“Actura has no financial resources to provide customer refunds,” Chung told parents.

Otago mum Jaimee Scott told the Herald she had paid nearly $9000 for her 15-year-old son to attend a space school in December this year and made an instalment only four days ago.

Scott said the worst part wasn’t the money but the impact on her son who had always dreamed of being an astronaut. “He saved every single penny he had to go towards it and went and got a job,” Scott said.

“We live in a rural town so he got a job at a local pub to pay for this. Everyone was involved and really excited.” “We could have bought him a car or done something else. But it was more the fact that it was his dream.”

Another out-of-pocket parent told the Herald she’d paid nearly $12,000 so far for her daughter to attend the same program. The Auckland mother, who wished to remain anonymous, said her daughter felt guilty over the loss.

“My daughter is devastated. She thinks it is her fault because we paid for her to go,” the parent said. “She is feeling guilty because she told us she wanted to do it and now feels like she has caused lots of problems."

The family learned of the program through the daughter’s high school. Last year, parents at her school had a meeting with staff from Actura who showcased the space camp and shared stories from other students who had attended.

“More than 20 schools each paying thousands of dollars. Where has the money gone?” the mother asked. “If you read the email, they [Actura] have been struggling the last few years…they knew about it for a long time.”

Actura New Zealand has taken down its website and Facebook pages.

“Parents that have paid some or all of their expedition installments via credit card are advised to contact their card issuer to make chargeback claim(s) which may provide for some recovery of costs,” Actura’s email to parents said.

“The company’s cash flow has been severely affected by the compounding financial effects of a precarious recovery from the Covid-19 global pandemic, a large increase in cost of supply coupled with significant reductions in registrations due to the ongoing increases in the costs of living being experienced by families.”

The Herald attempted to email Actura Australia however received the response: “Thank you for your email. Unfortunately Actura has ceased all operations. This inbox is no longer monitored.”

The Herald has attempted to contact several of the schools associated with the program.

Evacuations ordered due to 11,000-acre brush fire in northern LA County

Evacuations were ordered near a brush fire in the Gorman area north of Los Angeles that grew to 11,000 acres Sunday morning.

The Post Fire was burning near the southbound 5 Freeway and Gorman Road. The blaze was reported shortly before 2 p.m., according to Cal Fire.

The fire was estimated at 10,500 acres early Sunday, more that double the estimated size reported late Saturday.

The fire was threatening nearby buildings and led to the evacuation of about 1,200 people from the Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area. Pyramid Lake was also closed.

Two commercial properties were damaged and two were threatened. Details about the damaged properties were not immediately available.

"Firefighters are engaged in a wildland fire in Gorman near Hungry Valley Park, moving southeast towards Lake Pyramid," Cal Fire said in a Sunday update. "Currently crews are working to construct perimeter fire lines around the flakes of the fire. Aircraft are working to stop forward progress but have limited visibility. Currently the fire is pushing up into Hungry Valley Park."

Evacuation orders

The LA County Fire Department announced on X that structures were being threatened and evacuation orders were in place for the following areas:

Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area

Areas west of the McDonald's at 49000 Gorman School Road.

Evacuation warnings

Areas south of Pyramid Lake between Old Ridge Route and the LA County line, including Paradise Ranch Estates.

As of 7 p.m., roughly 1,200 people were evacuated from the Hungry Valley campsite, according to Craig Little, a Public Information Officer with LA County Fire.

According to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station, the town of Castiac has been placed on an "Evacuation Warning" due to expected high winds Saturday night.

The blaze comes as the Southland faces an increase in winds, creating challenging conditions for firefighters. Gusts were around 20 mph the evening of Saturday when the fire started - and they're not done yet.

"Overnight, those winds will continue to crank up," said NBC4 Meteorologist Stephanie Olmo.

She said in her forecast that winds will stay steady around 40 mph through Sunday.

“The high winds are definitely going to play a role, but the drop in temperatures is going to help, as well," Little said.

The fire comes as crews in Hesperia respond to a separate brush fire.

Air quality

The South Coast Air Quality Management District issued a Wildfire Smoke Advisory due to smoke from the Post Fire.

Northwesterly winds were expected to push smoke southeast toward Santa Clarita, the San Fernando Valley, and parts of the Angeles National Forest on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Illegal immigrant charged in killing of Harford County mother Rachel Morin

BEL AIR (WBFF) — Law enforcement have arrested Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez in Tulsa for the killing of Rachel Morin, a Harford County mother of five who was found dead near a hiking trail in August of 2023.

In a press conference announcing the arrest on Saturday, Harford County Sheriff Jeffery Gahler said that Martinez-Hernandez was arrested late Friday night and booked on Saturday morning; he is charged with first-degree murder and first-degree rape.

"Five hours after meeting with [Morin's] family and just before midnight our time, police in Tulsa Oklahoma assisted by our federal partners located and arrested Rachel's murderer: Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez," Sheriff Gahler said.

Sheriff Gahler went on to say that Martinez-Hernandez is a "23-year-old citizen of El Salvador." He said that Martinez-Hernandez crossed the border into the United States in February of 2023, and that he believes that Morin was not his first victim.

"It is my understanding that this suspect, this monster, fled to the United States after the murder of a young woman in El Salvador a month earlier in January of 2023," Sheriff Gahler said. "Once in our country, he brutally attacked a nine year old girl and her mother in a home invasion in March of 2023 in Los Angeles."

The Los Angeles case was the through line which allowed investigators to connect DNA samples from the murder scene in Harford County to the surveillance video of the suspect in California. This gave local and federal investigators their first images of Martinez-Hernandez.

"After we had the video, we knew what he looked like, but we didn't know who he was," Sheriff Gahler said.

FBI Baltimore field office special agent in charge William DelBagno explained that they were able to trace his DNA to potential family members in El Salvador to help identify the suspect. Then with support from local law enforcement, they were able to track him down to Tulsa, Oklahoma and take him into custody.

"It is my hope and the hope of all involved, working this case that the arrest of this suspect brings her [Mornin's] family and our Harford County community some peace," Sheriff Gahler said.

State's Attorney for Harford County Alison Healey said she will personally lead the prosecution for the case and that "Harford County and our neighboring communities can rest assured that my office will take all steps necessary to ensure that justice is served for Rachel Morin and her family."

Healey went on to say that once the suspect has been extradited to Harford County that prosecution will commence.

Ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick Endorses Donald Trump

Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, who was released early from federal prison by then-President Donald Trump, has formally endorsed Trump, the Detroit News reports.

The Trump campaign announced the endorsement on Saturday before Trump's appearance at the 180 Church on Detroit's west side.

The endorsement comes as no real surprise since Kilpatrick has expressed deep gratitude to Trump, who commuted his sentence to time served in January 2021. Kilpatrick served nearly eight of. a 28 year sentence for public corruption.

In March, Kilpatrick, 53, attended a Trump rally in Saginaw County, which could have been perceived as a clear sign that he was considering a formal endorsement.

In an interview with Deadline Detroit in January 2022 on Livernois in Detroit, Kilpatrick expressed his appreciation for Trump for commuting his sentence:

"Who could ever not be thankful for him being in that position at that time and for him helping me."

Trump was also scheduled to speak this weekend at the Huntingon Place where other featured speakers include Reps. Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene and Trump confidant Steve Bannon.

‘My Goal Is to Help All Republicans Win’

DETROIT, Michigan — Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) told Breitbart News exclusively here at the Turning Point Action People’s Convention he believes the stakes of the 2024 election are extremely high but he is hopeful Republicans, particularly former President Donald Trump, now have the edge.

“Number one, we need to win the White House, the House, and the Senate,” Scott said in an on-camera interview on Friday. “Here’s why. If we don’t win the White House, the border is not going to get secure—that’s number one. Number two is if we don’t have all three, we’re not going to get our spending under control. That means inflation never goes away. It gets worse and worse and worse. Interest rates will never come down. Next, if we don’t want to have a woke military, a weak military, we’ve got to have a president that cares about our military and a House and Senate that cares about our military. So you look at almost every issue we’re dealing with—the wokeness of our military, inflation, interest rates—it’s all going to be tied to winning these elections. So if you think about a poor kid like me, I grew up in public housing and was born to a single mom, I grew up in a country where my mom could legitimately say you can be anything. If you can’t afford to put food on the table, if you can’t afford the rent, if you can’t afford gas for your car, if you can’t afford your car, it’s not a great life. That’s exactly where this country is, so if we want to have opportunity for everybody then we’ve got to win these elections.”

Scott, who was along with most of his Senate GOP colleagues present for a meeting on Thursday last week with Trump at the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), said the meeting Trump had with Senate Republicans “was unifying.”

“First off it was uplifting and unifying,” Scott said. “President Trump is going to win. We all have to get out and do our part and we need to vote and get all our friends to vote and we need to be poll watchers and do all of those things. But right now I believe President Trump is going to win this election. But he’s got to have a House and Senate that’s going to help him. He came together. He was very gracious to everybody and talked about the things he wants to accomplish. Everybody is unified that we want to help him accomplish those things because it’s a key to success for this country that every family have an opportunity.”

Scott said what Republicans need to do to win is prosecute the case against the wildly unpopular Biden agenda.

“Everybody knows Biden’s policies are bad. Republican, Democrat, or independent, they don’t want an open border,” Scott said. “They don’t want more drugs, they don’t want more criminals, they don’t want more terrorists. That’s number one. We’ve got to make sure everybody understands that Biden is doing it. Biden had the opportunity to keep the border secure like Trump had it and decided not to. Around the country in every state they’re seeing the problems. They’re seeing the fentanyl deaths. They’re seeing the criminals that are coming. So, that’s number one. US Naval Forces Rescue Crew From Bulk Carrier ‘Tutor’

CAIRO, June 16 (Reuters) – The U.S. Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) said on Sunday that it had rescued the crew from the Liberian-flagged, Greek-owned bulk carrier M/V Tutor that was attacked by Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis on 12 June in the Red Sea.

Sailors assigned to the Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group airlifted the crew out on Saturday, NAVCENT said, adding that one civilian sailor remained missing.

The attack, which occurred near the Yemeni port of Hodeidah, caused severe flooding and damage to the engine room and left the Tutor unable to maneuver.

On Saturday, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said the ship’s crew was evacuated and that the abandoned vessel was drifting in the Red Sea.

The Houthis claimed responsibility for the small sea craft and missile attacks it used to target the ship as part of their ongoing campaign which they say is in support of the Palestinians and is focused on ships bound for Israel.

Russian, Egyptian Navies Held Joint Exercise In Mediterranean Sea (Video)

Warships from the Russian Navy’s Pacific Fleet and others from the Egyptian Navy had held a joint exercise in the Mediterranean Sea, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on June 16.

Varyag missile cruiser and Marshal Shaposhnikov frigate of the Pacific Fleet and Egypt’s ENS Al-Qadeer frigate took part in the exercise.

The Russian warships arrived in the port of Alexandria earlier in the week on a visit that was timed to coincide with Russia Day.

The joint exercise with the Egyptian Navy was a practical step in the sphere of strengthening Russian-Egyptian naval cooperation, the ministry said in a statement.

“The participants of the exercise worked out the formation of a squad of warships in the designated area, joint tactical maneuvering in various formations, conducted communications training, and provided flights for deck helicopters,” it added.

The joint exercise ended with a farewell ceremony, during which the ships of the two countries parted on opposite courses to the sound of sirens.

The joint exercise highlights the Russian Navy’s growing presence in the Mediterranean Sea, which was dominated by NATO just a decade ago.

The establishment of the permanent task force of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea in 2013 and the country’s military campaign against terrorist groups in Syria that began two years later, along with the establishment of the naval base at the Syrian port of Tartus, played a key role in expanding Russia’s maritime operations in the vital sea.

Earlier this month, the Russian Navy held a joint exercise with the Syrian military at Tartus Naval Base, demonstrating their commitment to a lasting presence in the Mediterranean Sea.

US foreign policy is based on appeasing the Jewish state

Back in September 2017 I wrote an article for the Unz Review site entitled “America’s Jews Are Driving America’s Wars” with the subtitle “Shouldn’t they recuse themselves when dealing with the Middle East?”

The article focused on the fact that most of the individuals and groups in the US that were agitating for war with Iran in particular were Jewish and most did not hide their loyalty to Israel, headed then as now by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

I argued that it was a mistake to have Jews managing America’s relationships in the Middle East in particular as some of them certainly would experience a conflict of interest that would inevitably not be beneficial to the United States. And, one might add, that in spite of that tie that binds with a foreign government, no pro-Israel group has ever been compelled to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act of 1938 which would provide some transparency on finances and concerning direct contacts with the Israeli government or its Embassy in Washington. The end result of all that is to make it extremely easy to use money, which the Zionist billionaires have in abundance, to corrupt the US government process on behalf of an apartheid state that is no ally in reality and does not have values that fit well with what was once American democracy.

If measured by comments received on it on the Unz site, the article on the ethnic advocacy promoting America’s Wars turned out to be the most popular that I have ever written and it was picked up widely online and in various publications both in the US and abroad. Inevitably, however, it produced a backlash from Israel’s many friends and within 24 hours there was added an update to the original online posting. It read “On the morning of September 21st Phil Giraldi was fired over the phone by The American Conservative, where he had been a regular contributor for fourteen years. He was told that ‘America’s Jews Are Driving America’s Wars’ was unacceptable. The TAC management and board appear to have forgotten that the magazine was launched with an article by founder Pat Buchanan entitled “Whose War?” which largely made the same claims that Giraldi made about the Jewish push for another war, in that case with Iraq. Buchanan was vilified and denounced as an anti-Semite by many of the same people who are now similarly attacking Giraldi.”

The TAC malignancy who did the actual firing was particularly miffed by my assertion in the article that prominent Jews, like Bill Kristol, who appear regularly on television to advocate hardlines against Iran and others while articulating a “threat to America” when they are actually acting on behalf of Israel should appear above a label that reads something like “Jewish and an outspoken supporter of the state of Israel.” I added that it would be kind-of-like a warning label on a bottle of rat poison – translating roughly as “ingest even the tiniest little dosage of the nonsense spewed by Bill Kristol at your own peril.”

Indeed, it is the wealthy and influential beyond belief Jewish diaspora and its non-stop lying and corruption that sustains the fictitious narrative of Israel as a “land without people for a people without a land.” Australian journalist Caitlin Johnstone observes that

It’s a completely synthetic nation created without any regard for the organic sociopolitical movements of the land and its people, slapped rootless atop an ancient pre-existing civilization with deep roots.
