At a quick glance, it would probably be fairly easy for many of us to conclude that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and American President Joe Biden have quite a bit in common aside from their age. They are both far to the left on most policy issues and they are not fans of free speech or even free movement when such are being exercised by their political opponents or critics. Their first effort to recall Vos fell short due to a dispute between signatures from his old district boundaries and the state's new legislative district map. In March, they submitted more than 9,000 signatures, well over the 6,850 needed to successfully recall but only 5,905 were valid signatures, the others were from the post-2022 election district map.

On Tuesday, a gas explosion in downtown Youngstown, Ohio, left two individuals M.I.A. and seven others injured, according to officials. "One cannot help but suspect that the “random selection” at work in the assignment of Merchan, a Democrat Party donor, to these cases involving prominent Republicans, is in fact not random at all. The simple answer to why Merchan has been assigned to these cases would seem to be that whoever made the assignment intentionally selected Merchan to handle them to increase the chance that Donald Trump, the Trump Organization, and Steven Bannon would ultimately be convicted."
"I request that both the Commission and the Inspector General investigate this anomaly to determine whether the required random selection process was in fact followed in the assignment of these criminal cases to Acting Justice Merchan. If Acting Justice Merchan or any other Justices of the Court are found to have violated these rules, I would hope that the Commission would subject them to the required discipline. And if any non-judicial employees of the Court are involved in such a scheme, I would hope that the Inspector General subject them to the appropriate sanction."

What happens if you ascend this stairway to the Milky Way? Before answering that, let's understand the beautiful sky you will see. Most eye-catching is the grand arch of the Milky Way Galaxy, the band that is the central disk of our galaxy which is straight but distorted by the wide-angle nature of this composite image. Many stars well in front of the Milk Way will be visible, with the bright white star just below the stellar arch being Altair, and the bright blue star above it being Vega. The air glows green on the left, just above the yellow cloud deck. The featured image was taken last month on Portugal's Madeira Island in the North Atlantic Ocean. Oh, and what happens after you reach the top of these stairs and admire the amazing sky is, quite probably, that you then descend down the stairs on the other side.
