WATCH: Newly freed J6 defendant shares exclusive, real story about how Officer Harry Dunn LIED on the stand…. ==1/2

April 30, 2024 (12 hours ago)

This is the tale ofKenneth Harrelson, a member of the Titusville Oath Keepers. Harrelson narrowly escaped a major legal hit in federal court when he was acquitted of the rare charge of “seditious conspiracy” related to his role in the January 6 Capitol melee. While he managed to dodge the most severe accusation, he wasn’t off the hook. A jury found him, along with Stewart Rhodes of the Oath Keepers, guilty of obstructing an official proceeding of Congress, among other lesser charges. Though Harrelson avoided the harshest penalties,he still faced a hefty sentence behind bars—a situation made possible by the outright lies of Nancy Pelosi’s favorite pet Capitol Police officer, Harry Dunn. Now free, Harrelson is eager to share his version of the events, detailing the disgusting web of lies spun by Officer Dunn.

Podcaster Breanna Morello landed this explosive interview, and it’s quite a doozy. At the end of this article, we’ve posted the full interview for you to watch. We highly encourage you to check it out.

Breanna Morello:

• January 6 defendant Sgt. Ken Harrelson has been released from prison.

• He was sentenced to 4 years in prison after Officer Harry Dunn (@libradunn) and Officer David Lazarus lied on the witness stand.

• Sgt. Harrelson saved Dunn on J6.

Dunn is now running for Congress and just received Nancy Pelosi’s endorsement.

Listen to Sgt Harrelson debunk Dunn’s lies.

The investigative reporters over at The Blaze got to work, uncovered the timeline of lies, and truly blew the lid off yet another January 6th political plot.

__The Blaze:_

Lazarus claimed he saw Dunn involved in a conflict with the Oath Keepers as Lazarus came up the stairs. Dunn claims the opposite: that he saw Lazarus involved in a conflict as Dunn came up the stairs.

Blaze Media has acquired an advance copy of Dunn’s forthcoming book, “Standing My Ground: A Capitol Police Officer’s Fight for Accountability and Good Trouble After January 6th,” scheduled for release on October 24. On pages 79 and 80, Dunn describes his first encounter of the day with Lazarus:

I took off, running up a winding spiral staircase toward the Speaker’s Lobby. … Now I was on the same floor as the Rotunda. … As soon as I made it to the landing, I saw Special Agent David Lazarus. … He was being hassled by some rioters.

Apparently, neither Dunn’s ghostwriter nor his editor checked the Oath Keepers trial transcript, in which Lazarus claims to recount the same moment in time:

Hughes: How was your evacuation efforts? How did you interact with this space? Where were you going in relation to what we’re looking at now?

Lazarus: So I came up from the first level, and I came up the stairs behind Dunn. And as I’m coming up, I could see Dunn above me as I was coming up the stairs. And I look and I see him standing there. And this crowd is, like, right in front of him.

Dunn claims to have first seen Lazarus already at the top of the staircase being “hassled by rioters” when he arrived. Lazarus testified that Dunn was “above me,” already at the top of the staircase when he arrived.

The man who wasn’t there

Capitol CCTV reveals that Dunn reached the top of the staircase landing at exactly 2:44 p.m. Dunn could not have seen Lazarus there, as Lazarus is clearly identifiable on video in the tunnels near the Senate office buildings at the same time. And Lazarus could not have seen Dunn interacting with the Oath Keepers “three or four times” in a “very antagonistic” encounter, because Lazarus did not arrive at that staircase until 2:56:45 p.m. The last Oath Keeper left 2:53:30. Again, Lazarus arrives well over three minutes after the Oath Keepers had departed the area.

In Lazarus’ own trial testimony, he claimed he was not present when video footage shows that Dunn was actually at the top of the stairs. This important element of Lazarus’ testimony was missed not only by all eight of the Oath Keepers’ defense lawyers but also by the journalists reporting on the trial from the first-floor media room in the courthouse.

Lazarus truthfully testified that he had been escorting U.S. senators through the tunnels to the Senate office buildings.

Hughes: So as you’re going into the tunnels, are you with the United States senators at this time?

Lazarus: Yes. We evacuate the entire Senate down the back stairs into the tunnels. And those tunnels go across Constitution Avenue back into the Senate buildings, where we had an area that was specifically set up to secure the Senate.

Hughes: Did you remain at this location?

Lazarus: No. Once we started moving through the tunnels, I heard “shots fired.” And so once I heard the shots were fired, I saw that the senators were doing okay, we had enough agents with them to get them to safety, so I turned around and I started going back towards where I heard the shots were being fired.

The report of “shots fired” was heard on the USCP Main Ops 1 radio channel at 2:44 p.m. This was in response to the single shot USCP Lt. Michael Byrd fired that killed protester Ashli Babbitt. This is what Lazarus heard, according to the USCP radio communications obtained in January by the Epoch Times:

Dispatcher: There were shots fired at the House floor. I need units to respond. They’re taking shots into the House floor. We need units to respond to that location. 1443 hours.

Lazarus testified under oath — verified by Capitol CCTV — that he was “moving through the tunnels” when he heard that shots were fired. “1443 hours” would be 2:43 p.m.

Dunn reached the top of those stairs, adjacent to the Capitol’s Rotunda, at exactly 2:44 p.m., and Oath Keeper Ken Harrelson entered that same area only 30 seconds later. Those times are also verified by the Capitol CCTV timecode.

Lazarus did not arrive back from the tunnels and reach the bottom of the Rotunda staircase until 2:56:45 p.m. This was approximately five minutes after Dunn had been relieved of his position at the top of those stairs by USCP Civil Disturbance officers and over three minutes after the Oath Keepers had already exited the area.

Most of us have known for some time that much about January 6th has been distorted or fabricated. Tucker Carlson highlighted this further when he interviewed former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund, who shared his firsthand account of what really transpired on that fateful, orchestrated day.

The Essential Revolver News January 6 Reading List

The sad truth about the United States these days is that we’ve lost the moral high ground we once held. We now have political prisoners on American soil and federal officials who lie under oath to target political dissenters. In this respect, we’re not much different from nations like Communist China, North Korea, Russia, and Iran. Sure, our methods may not be as outwardly barbaric, but we still manage to destroy lives with a veneer of civility.

Israel’s spy agency Mossad played a role in this divide-and-rule game in the occupied territories. In a 1994 book, “The Other Side of Deception,” Mossad whistleblower Victor Ostrovsky contended that aiding Hamas meshed with “Mossad’s general plan” for an Arab world “run by fundamentalists” that would reject “any negotiations with the West,” thereby leaving Israel as “the only democratic, rational country in the region.” Avner Cohen, a former Israeli religious affairs official involved in Gaza for over two decades, told a newspaper interviewer in 2009 that, “Hamas, to my great regret, is Israel’s creation.”

China Publishes World's First High-definition Lunar Geologic Atlas

Apr 22, 2024

China on Sunday released a geologic atlas set of the global moon with a scale of 1:2.5 million, which is the first complete high-definition lunar geologic atlas in the world, providing basic map data for future lunar research and exploration.

This geologic atlas set, available in both Chinese and English, includes the Geologic Atlas of the Lunar Globe and the Map Quadrangles of the Geologic Atlas of the Moon, according to the Institute of Geochemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

"The geologic atlas of the moon is of great significance for studying the evolution of the moon, selecting the site for a future lunar research station and utilizing lunar resources. It can also help us better understand the Earth and other planets in the solar system, such as Mars," said Ouyang Ziyuan, who is a CAS academician and a well-known lunar scientist.

"The world has witnessed significant progress in the field of lunar exploration and scientific research over the past decades, which have greatly improved our understanding of the moon. However, the lunar geologic maps published during the Apollo era have not been changed for about half a century, and are still being used for lunar geological research. With the improvements of lunar geologic studies, those old maps can no longer meet the needs of future scientific research and lunar exploration," said Liu Jianzhong, a senior researcher from the Institute of Geochemistry of the CAS.

Since 2012, Ouyang Ziyuan and Liu Jianzhong have led a team of scientists and cartographers from relevant research institutions in compiling this atlas.

With a comprehensive and systematic understanding of the origin and evolution of the moon, the team compiled the atlas based on scientific exploration data gained from China's Chang'e lunar exploration program and other research results from both Chinese and international missions, Liu said.

This atlas set not only provides basic data and scientific references for the formulation and implementation of scientific goals in China's lunar exploration program, but also fills the blank in China's compilation of geologic maps of the moon and planets, contributing to the study of the origin and evolution of the moon and the solar system, Liu said.

Based on the perspective of lunar dynamic evolution, Chinese researchers creatively established an updated lunar geological time scale, objectively depicting the geological evolution of the moon, and clearly showing the characteristics of lunar tectonic and magmatic evolution.

A total of 12,341 impact craters, 81 impact basins, 17 types of lithologies and 14 types of structures all over the moon are mapped in the atlas.

This atlas set has been integrated into the digital lunar cloud platform built by Chinese scientists, and will serve lunar scientific research, science education, as well as landing site selection, lunar resource exploration and path planning for China's future lunar exploration projects, Liu said.

He mentioned that China's upcoming Chang'e-6 mission is expected to collect samples in the Apollo Basin within the South Pole-Aitken Basin on the far side of the moon, which means materials ejected from ancient terrain may be collected in the process. "Our map can provide a macroscopic geologic background to improve the purpose and efficiency of the sample research," Liu explained.

The compilation of this map was an immense task, which required the organization and cooperation of many well-informed researchers over many years to be able to achieve a consistent and complete result, commented Gregory Michael, a senior scientist from the Free University of Berlin in Germany.

"This map, in particular, is the first on a global scale to utilize all of the post-Apollo era data. It builds on the achievements of the international community over the last decades, as well as on China's own highly successful Chang'e program. It will be a starting point for every new question of lunar geology, and become a primary resource for researchers studying lunar processes of all kinds," Michael added.

Dow drops 400 points to close out losing April as Fed decision looms (Yawn)

(Oil and Natty gas down too with Au down 1.56% and Ag down over 2.5%)

Stocks tumbled on Tuesday to close out a losing month after higher-than-expected wage data raised fresh inflation concerns ahead of the Federal Reserve’s rate decision on Wednesday.

The S&P 500 edged down by 0.9% and was set to snap a 5-month winning streak with a 3% loss for April. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 408 points, or 1%, bringing its losses for the month to 4.3%. The Nasdaq Composite shed 1.1% to cap a 3% decline for the month.

The Labor Department said Tuesday the employment cost index, a measure of wages and benefits, added 1.2% in the first quarter, above the 1% consensus estimate from economists polled by Dow Jones. Treasury yields jumped following the data, with the 2-year yield topping 5%.

The Fed will make its interest rate decision Wednesday afternoon and officials are likely to express a reluctance to lower interest rates anytime soon as inflation data continues to point to elevated price pressures. The new labor cost report is “not a number that will incline the Fed to change their ‘there is no rush to ease’ stance,” said Tom Fitzpatrick, managing director for global market insights at R.J. O’Brien and Associates. Despite the April setback, the S&P 500 is still up more than 25% from its low last October as investors bet the economy could withstand higher rates and piled into AI plays like Nvidia. Data in the past month raised questions about whether stubborn inflation was weakening the economy while keeping the Fed in a restrictive mode. McDonald’s

in its quarterly report Tuesday warned about a more selective consumer due to higher prices. Nvidia traded into the red on Tuesday as it closed out April with a 3% decline. The favorite AI play of investors was up for five months straight before this month. Shares of Amazon, another big winner of the bull market, dipped before its quarterly update after the bell Tuesday. Following the Fed’s decision Wednesday, investors will next need to grapple with the April jobs report Friday.

Copper headed for worst day of the year Copper prices are down 2.38%, on pace for the largest daily decline since December 4, 2023 when prices fell -2.44%. If Copper ends the day down more than -2.44% it will be the worst day since Oct 2, 2023 when copper fell -2.57% Month to date, copper is up 13.9%, marking its best month since February 2021, when copper advanced 15.09%.

Fulton Co. lawmaker files lawsuit against DA Fani Willis’ office, county commissioner, ethics board

Story by Sam Sachs April 28, 20241/2(This is good, Willis and Friends sued for RICO)

State Rep. Mesha Mainor, representing part of Fulton County, is suing District Attorney Fani Willis, Commissioner Marvin Arrington, and multiple departments of the county government. Mainor announced the lawsuit itself on Friday, saying she’d be holding a news conference on Tuesday morning at the State Capitol.

According to the announcement,Mainor said she’ll also be addressing oversight of Georgia prosecutors and statistics regarding Fulton County Jail inmates waiting for prosecution beyond a 90-day threshold after being denied bond.

“Citizens and family members must know they have a right to file a motion for a bond and thejudge must grant the bond if they have been confined to jail more than 90 days and District Attorney Fani Willis has failed to prosecute,” Mainor said in a statement.

Mainor, a Fulton County Republican lawmaker, was a Democrat before recently switching parties. She filed the lawsuit on April 2, according to court records. The lawsuit names Willis and Arrington in both their individual and official capacities, as well as the overall Fulton County government, the Fulton County Ethics Board and the Fulton County D.A.’s Office.

In the civil filing, Mainor requested a jury trial andalleges the defendants deprived her of certain rights while acting under the color of state law. Part of the lawsuit ties back to a series of incidents while Rep. Mainor was running for office in 2019, according to the lawsuit. At that time, Mainor’s suit says she hired a man named Corwin Monson as a campaign volunteer.

Before working together on the campaign, Mainor’s lawsuit said the two were friends for several years with many friends in common.Mainor said she was forced to fire Monson from his volunteer position with her campaign “after witnessing his unruly, belligerent behavior.” Afterward, Mainor said Monson started to stalk her, showing up uninvited to campaign events, joining Mainor’s church and sitting outside of her home.

Monson also is said, according to Mainor’s lawsuit, to have called her from several phone numbers and left multiple voicemails, with “Monson later turn[ing] these voicemails into a song.” He also told Mainor he was in love with her and arrived at her home to propose in front of her children, who were minors, according to the lawsuit. In June 2019, Monson was cited for criminal trespass at Mainor’s home after refusing to leave her property. The following August, Mainor filed a temporary protective order against him, which a judge granted.

Monson was arrested in September 2019 and September 2020 for violating the temporary protective order, the lawsuit says. In September 2020, Monson was indicted for aggravated stalking by the Fulton County DA’s Office, as well as violating the protective order, the record says.

At the start of 2021, Monson was indicted by the Fulton DA again for a second aggravated assault charge, where Mainor was the victim. The lawsuit says Monson faced up to 20 years in prison due to the cases.

Mainor’s lawsuit says Monson is a “close friend and associate of Defendant Commissioner Arrington.” The commissioner was hired as Monson’s defense attorney for the September 2020 aggravated stalking case, according to Mainor’s lawsuit. Mainor’s lawsuit says an Assistant District Attorney “informed Plaintiff Mainor of the influence Defendant Commissioner Arrington wielded” in the D.A.’s office and thathe “used his influence to circumvent the office policies of the District Attorney’s office.”

Earlier this month, Netanyahu confirmed that a date had been set for the Israel Defense Forces to enter the city amid hostage negotiations with Hamas.

By Ben Whedon

Published: April 30, 2024 12:32pm

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday indicated he would move forward with an operation against Rafah, a critical border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt to which many refugees have fled amid the Israeli invasion.

The Israeli government and the Biden administration have openly feuded over plans to assault the city, with Netanyahu indicating he would ignore Washington's "red line" on doing so.

"The idea that we will halt the war before achieving all of its goals is out of the question. We will enter Rafah and we will eliminate the Hamas battalions there – with or without a deal, in order to achieve the total victory," he said in a statement on Tuesday.

Israel invaded the Gaza Strip in response to an Oct. 7 Hamas raid in a bid to oust the group from power, though Jerusalem has faced international outcry over its tactics in the densely populated area and the reported civilian death toll.

Earlier this month, Netanyahu confirmed that a date had been set for the Israel Defense Forces to enter the city amid hostage negotiations with Hamas.

His handling of the matter has prompted considerable scrutiny from high-ranking Democrats, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who in March urged the country to hold elections.

The lawsuit says these actions include “intimidating the ADAs by copying the District Attorney on emails, negotiating plea deals directly with the District Attorney instead of the ADAs, and demanding meetings with the District Attorney when ADAs refused to bend to his will,” and alleges that Fulton County residents hire the commissioner as their defense attorney due to this power he is accused of yielding in the DA’s office.

Mainor further alleges that Arrington negotiated with former D.A. Paul Howard to have Monson plead guilty to a misdemeanor, though charged with a felony, going outside of the DA’s office policies. The lawsuit also states that Arrington is heard “conspiring to cause the sitting judge on the criminal case” to be removed from office while on phone calls at the county jail with Monson.

Focusing on Willis, Mainor alleges in her lawsuit that Arrington later admitted to telling her about the Monson case before she was sworn in, saying he accused Mainor herself of being “crazy” while speaking to the new D.A. and influencing a bias against her during the case. Mainor alleges Arrington encouraged Monson’s wife to harass her as well, and a second protective order was sought against Mrs. Alesha Monson.

Arrington is said to have resigned as Mr. Monson’s attorney in December 2020 after the jail calls were made public. The lawsuit goes over the events in the case after Willis was sworn in, alleging that handling of the case was unusual and against policy, andaccusing Willis of “dropping the ball” regarding the plea deal for Mr. Monson. Mainor accuses both Arrington and Willis of operating under the color of law while causing “severe financial and emotional damages” to her, due to the alleged failure to properly prosecute Mr. Monson, and for violating her constitutional rights through deliberate indifference.

The lawsuit names the Fulton County Ethics Board as a defendant due to what Mainor alleges was a failure to follow proper procedure while reviewing more than 30 violations submitted in an ethics complaint against Arrington. The complaint was later closed.

When Mr. Monson was released from jail in November 2021, Mainor said he “immediately began stalking” her again. His probation included a condition to have no direct or indirect contact with Mainor, but began to show up to events hosted by Mainor’s friends and neighbors after being released, the lawsuit says.

The same month, Mainor “ran into Monson as she was exiting a gas station near her home,” a few hundred feet from her house, according to the court filing. When Mainor told the DA’s office of the incident, the lawsuit alleges no actions were taken.

A December 2021 incident at the Coverdell Legislative Office Building, where Mainor works, led to a new investigation into Monson for violating the temporary restraining order.Mainor’s lawsuit says the DA’s office again declined to prosecute Monson for the violation, noting that A.D.A. Yolanda Mack said “It doesn’t appear that his [Monson’s] intentions were to violate the order but simply give testimony on his ethics complaint against you. He didn’t have any contact with you directly or indirectly.”

As a result of the incidents detailed in the lawsuit,Mainor is seeking a jury trial and alleging that Arrington, Willis, and the Fulton County Ethics Board had violated the state’s Racketeer Influence and Corrupt Organizations Act, inflicting intentional emotional distress and requesting the court order compensatory and consequential damages to Mainor.

Mainor is expected to hold her news conference on Tuesday, April 30 at 10 a.m. on the steps of the State Capitol.

Unseenlabs Announces Next-Generation Satellite Constellation for 2026 to Monitor Sea, Land, and Space Environments from Space

April 30, 2024 09:43 AM Eastern Daylight Time

RENNES, France(BUSINESS WIRE)Unseenlabs, a pioneer and global leader in radio frequency (RF) intelligence from space, is set to redefine global surveillance standards once again with the scheduled launch of a new satellite constellation in 2026. Founded in 2015 by a group of visionary entrepreneurs and headquartered in Europe (France), Unseenlabs has consistently led the way in technological innovation in space-based RF detection.

Since 2019, Unseenlabs operates a cutting-edge satellite constellation specifically designed for maritime surveillance. This constellation has dramatically improved the detection, tracking, and characterization of maritime activities, leveraging a fleet of thirteen monosatellites, with four additional units slated for launch in 2024. These satellites have been pivotal in providing critical intelligence to combat illegal fishing, piracy, and other maritime threats, effectively covering vast areas at sea.

Building on this success, Unseenlabs is expanding its surveillance capabilities to include terrestrial and space environments in addition to maritime with its upcoming constellation. This new fleet, comprising advanced 150-kilo satellites, is tailored to monitor a wider range of emissions across all domains, enhancing global security and compliance capabilities.

Reflecting on the expansion, Clément Galic, CEO & Cofounder of Unseenlabs, stated: “The launch of our next-generation satellite constellation marks a pivotal moment in our journey. This expansion into terrestrial and space surveillance embodies our commitment to pioneering comprehensive global monitoring solutions. We are not just extending our reach; we are setting new standards for the industry.”

Unseenlabs' unique and patented RF monosatellite technology sets it apart from traditional tri-satellite systems used by competitors. Its innovative approach allows a single satellite to perform RF intelligence collections independently, providing a resilient, cost-effective solution with significant operational savings. This technological edge ensures persistent, global coverage and continuous operation under any weather conditions, 24/7.

Jonathan Galic, Unseenlabs’ CTO and Cofounder, elaborated on the technical advancements, saying: “Our new constellation will leverage cutting-edge monosatellite technology to deliver unparalleled accuracy and flexibility across multiple domains. With this next-generation capability, we will monitor and analyze RF emissions more efficiently than ever, ensuring swift and precise intelligence delivery in near real-time conditions.”

The 2026 constellation will capitalize on Unseenlabs’ proven monosatellite technology, extending its surveillance reach to include land and space, in addition to maritime. This expansion is designed to meet evolving global security needs, offering unprecedented coverage and detection capabilities of many more multidomain targets. On land, the constellation will track crucial emissions from devices such as satellite phones and jammers, while also enhancing existing maritime surveillance prowess.

The effectiveness of Unseenlabs' current constellation in maritime surveillance has demonstrated its capability to significantly reduce illegal activities and economic losses, particularly in the fishing industry, which suffers an estimated $36 billion annually due to illegal operations. Unseenlabs' technology’s unique RF fingerprinting ability enables accurate identification and tracking of vessels, providing vital Intelligence for enforcement and conservation efforts. Unseenlabs also serves a wide array of private sector stakeholders. These include insurers requiring accurate intelligence for risk assessment and claim management, shipowners in need of dependable vessel tracking, and companies in the oil & gas and offshore industries seeking advanced monitoring and security solutions.

With the introduction of its new constellation, Unseenlabs will continue to offer unmatched surveillance intelligence capabilities, interoperability with other Earth observation systems, and rapid delivery of mission-critical intelligence with sub-kilometer accuracy. Its solutions are designed for both current needs and future challenges, ensuring that Unseenlabs remains the leader in RF detection from space.

Fani Willis Rival Warns Focus on Trump Leaves Many People 'Vulnerable'

Published Apr 28, 20241/2

Fani Willis 'Inconsistencies' Discovered by Department of JusticeBy Gabe Whisnant

Attorney Christian Wise Smith, a Democrat running against Fani Willis for Fulton County district attorney, said on Friday that his rival's focus on former President Donald Trump's election interference case leaves people "vulnerable" and "many priorities neglected" in Georgia's largest county.

Willis, also a Democrat, has become a prominent national figure due to leading the investigation that led to indictments against Trump and 18 of his allies for allegedly attempting to overturn Georgia's 2020 election results. Trump, the presumed 2024 GOP presidential nominee, has maintained his innocence in the case.

Meanwhile, Willis has recently been embroiled in a scandal pertaining to a romantic relationship she had with Nathan Wade, a special prosecutor she hired in the Trump case.

Willis was given the green light to remain on Trump's election interference case last month by Judge Scott McAfee, who presided over hearings regarding claims by one of Trump's co-defendants that Willis and Wade's relationship caused a conflict of interest in the investigation. Attorneys for the defendant, Mike Roman, said in a filing in January that the district attorney had been "profiting personally from this prosecution" by using taxpayers' money to fund vacations taken by Willis and Wade. Willis, however, denied the allegations and said the relationship began after Wade was hired and that she should not be disqualified.

McAfee ruled that Willis could remain on the case as long as Wade stepped down. The judge also criticized the prosecutors' relationship while issuing his decision, calling it a "tremendous lapse in judgment." Wade ultimately resigned from the case.

In an interview with Atlanta's NBC affiliate, 11 Alive,Wise Smith contended that Willis' focus on the Trump case and her monthslong fight over her own disqualification from it has led other pressing issues in Fulton County to fall by the wayside.

"Right now, she's focused on Trump, and rightfully so, but that leaves so many people in Fulton County vulnerable," Wise Smith told reporter Jennifer Bellamy. "That leaves a lot of things being neglected by so much focus, energy, resources and manpower going toward one case."

Newsweek reached out to Willis' office via email on Saturday afternoon. This story will be updated with any provided statements.

In his interview, Wise Smith also pointed to a recent lawsuit brought against Willis by the Barred Business Foundation, a nonprofit that advocates for the rights of the incarcerated. The organization is being represented by the American Civil Liberties Union Georgia (ACLU-GA)…

"The ACLU just brought a lawsuit against the DA's office for having people sit in jail for too long. People are dying in jail because of the horrible conditions there," he said.

In addition, Willis and other local officials are named in a lawsuit recently filed by Georgia state Representative Mesha Mainor, which alleges that Willis, Commissioner Marvin Arrington, the Fulton County Ethics Board and the county itself were derelict in its duties to properly litigate a criminal case in which Mainor was repeatedly stalked by a former friend and political associate.

Wise Smith believes he can properly lead the ongoing prosecution of Trump and his co-defendants, along with the rigors of running the district attorney's office.

"A lot of people have eyes on that case and want justice brought forward. My fear is because of the chaos around the office and the case, the case might be in jeopardy," he told Bellamy. "I'm worried it might be gone before I even take office. We want to see that case through and see justice served."

Wise Smith, who also ran against Willis in 2020, faces an uphill battle in the May 21 primary. In a recent poll, which surveyed 1,000 likely Democratic voters from April 20 to 23, found that 79 percent of respondents plan to back Willis in the primary, while 9 percent said they are voting for Wise Smith. The poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

Michael Ceraso, a communications consultant for Wise Smith's campaign, previously told Newsweek that the campaign feels confident in the weeks leading up to the primary that people will see ==Wise Smith campaigning on issues important to Fulton County residents including mass incarceration,

school-to-prison pipeline and the legalization of marijuana==.

Republican Courtney Kramer will face the Democratic winner in the general election in November.

Meanwhile, Wise Smith expressed sympathy for his Democratic opponent in his

interview with Bellamy.

"I didn't jump in the race to throw any personal attacks at her. I don't believe in campaigning that way. It should be about what you bring to the job," he said. "I know her personal life has become very public, and I feel for her in that sense, but my vision for the office is completely different than hers."

What emerged in two interviews with Trump, and conversations with more than

a dozen of his closest advisers and confidants, were the outlines of an imperial

presidency that would reshape America and its role in the world. To carry out a

deportation operation designed to remove more than 11 million people from

the country, Trump told me, he would be willing to build migrant detention

camps and deploy the U.S. military, both at the border and inland. He would let

red states monitor women's pregnancies and prosecute those who violate

abortion bans. He would, at his personal discretion, withhold funds

appropriated by Congress, according to top advisers. He would be willing to fire

a U.S. Attorney who doesn't carry out his order to prosecute someone, breaking

with a tradition of independent law enforcement that dates from America's

founding. He is weighing pardons for every one of his supporters accused of

attacking the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, more than 800 of whom have pleaded

guilty or been convicted by a jury. He might not come to the aid of an attacked

ally in Europe or Asia if he felt that country wasn't paying enough for its own

defense. He would gut the U.S. civil service, deploy the National Guard to

American cities as he sees fit, close the White House pandemic-preparedness

office, and staff his Administration with acolytes who back his false assertion

that the 2020 election was stolen.

'Empty podium is doing better than her': Fani Willis mocked for 'declining' to attend primary debate with Democratic challenger

Story by Conrad Dias 4/28/24

WASHINGTON, DC: Fani Willis, the district attorney for Fulton County, did not attend the county's first Democratic Party debate on Sunday, April 28, making her opponent speak in front of an empty platform, according to The Hill. Notably,Christian Wise Smith, an author and attorney, was Willis' Democratic opponent in the debate, which was hosted by the Atlanta Press Club. Smith was the only person on stage.

Fani Willis skips primary debate with Democratic challenger

Willis "declined to participate in the debate and is represented by an empty podium", the debate moderator stated following a quick introduction regarding Smith. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Willis co-hosted Atlanta's annual 'Self Care Fair' in observance of Crime Victims' Rights Week. Willis is currently pursuing a comprehensive case alleging election interference against former President Trump and his allies.

Notably, Willis is "not doing interviews that include discussion of t

he substance of high-profile cases the office is prosecuting, particularly the election interference prosecution and the ongoing trial of alleged YSL defendants", her reelection campaign said earlier in April to Atlanta News First, referring to the rapper Young Thug and his associates' ongoing trial.

The moderator allowed Smith to pose a question to Willis and provide a counterargument to his evaluation of her answers during what was meant to be the candidates' Q&A session.

Smith said, "==My question for you is:

• Where are you?

• You know I'm here because I care about the citizens and the families of Fulton County.

• But it's my understanding that you may have attended the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

• You might be fundraising across the country, but what about us here in Fulton County?

• What are you doing to address the issues in the jail?

• What are you doing to address the backlog? Where are you, Ms Willis?"

When asked whether he had a counterargument,Smith stated that "her absence is all the response that we need", but he could not speak for Willis. Moreover, he also attacked the scandal that arose from Willis' amorous past with Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor who left the Trump case in March 2024 due to a court decision.

In Willis' racketeering lawsuit against Donald Trump, Judge Scott McAfee determined in March that there appeared to be a conflict of interest between Wade and Willis. If Wade left, Willis was free to stay on the case. McAfee's decision to permit her to do so has been challenged by Trump and eight of his co-defendants.

Smith said when asked if he would carry on pursuing Willis' lawsuit against Trump and using the state's racketeering legislation, "That issue is important to us here in Fulton County and a lot of people across the country."

He added, "We all heard the call, we all saw what happened on Jan 6, 2021,but you have to do things differently. When you pay one attorney nearly a million dollars to handle one case, that leaves the rest of us vulnerable. That hurts everyone else in Fulton County."

Notably, Smith lost his race against Willis four years ago. On May 21, the two will compete in a primary. The only Republican to meet the requirements by the deadline was Courtney Kramer, who claimed to have worked as an intern for three months in 2018 in the White House Counsel's office under Trump, according to The Associated Press.

Internet trolls Fani Willis for skipping primary debate with Democratic challenger

• People online slammed Fani Willis as she missed the county's first Democratic Party debate, making her opponent speak in front of an empty platform.

• A user wrote on X, "Fani is going to jail" while one added, "LOL.. Fani is unbelievable!! Hope she loses!!!!"

• A person also wrote, "The empty podium is doing better than she will ever do."

• A person also stated, "As a Georgia Resident and Voter …I'm surprised that she's even allowed a law license at this point !" whereas one mentioned, "I think the empty podium was probably smarter."

• A user also stated, "How absolutely insulting. When is she up for reelection? Hopefully Fulton county will do better."

SpaceX vet's startup Portal Space Systems comes out of stealth mode

April 30, 2024

A spaceflight startup with some serious bona fides has just come out of stealth mode.

Portal Space Systems announced its existence today (April 30), revealing that it has snagged more than $3 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Defense for the development and launch of its new Supernova satellite bus.

Portal's CEO is Jeff Thornburg. He previously served as senior director of propulsion engineering at SpaceX, where he led the development of Raptor, the brawny next-gen engine that powers the company's Starship megarocket. Thornburg was also head of mechanical engineering and manufacturing for Project Kuiper, Amazon's planned satellite-internet constellation.

Supernova will be far more maneuverable than currently operational satellites, thanks to its new solar-thermal propulsion technology, company representatives said.

"The space industry hasn't fundamentally improved satellite bus technology in decades. Our nation is developing sixth-generation fighter aircraft technology but still uses first-generation satellite buses," Thornburg said in a statement.

"Our novel solar-thermal propulsion system and bus design, combined with our compatibility to support any customer payload, sets us apart," he added. "We provide an over 50x improvement in current spacecraft mobility. For our customers, that means the ability to have spacecraft on orbit that are able to respond in real time to events in any orbital regime."

Supernova will be able to move from low Earth orbit (LEO) — the realm within 1,200 miles (2,000 kilometers) of our planet's surface — to geostationary orbit, which lies 22,235 miles (35,786 km) up, in just hours, company representatives said. And it will be capable of making the trek from LEO to the region around the moon in a matter of days.

Portal has received "significant support" from the U.S. Space Force, the Seattle-based startup wrote in the same statement. That's not terribly surprising; the Space Force has repeatedly stressed the importance of boosting the nation's flexibility and responsiveness in the final frontier, all the way out to the moon.

Supernova has not flown yet; Portal is currently eyeing late 2025 for the spacecraft's debut launch.

China’s Shenzhou-17 crew return to Earth

April 30, 2024

China’s Shenzhou-17 crew returned to Earth Tuesday following six months aboard the Tiangong space station.

Astronauts Tang Hongbo, Tang Shengjie and Jiang Xinlin had been operating the Tiangong space station since October. The crew departed the station at 8:43 p.m. Eastern April 29 (0043 UTC on April 30) and landed at Dongfeng landing site in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region near Jiuquan spaceport at 5:46 a.m. Eastern (0946 UTC) April 30.

Recovery crews were on the scene moments after the return capsule touched down. Commander Tang Hongbo was first out of the capsule. “I feel so proud for my country. I departed in autumn and came back in spring and I feel I have experienced the most beautiful seasons,” Tang said.

“Flying for over 180 days in the space station, I finished all the tasks, but at the same time, I miss my home everytime I fly over my homeland.”

Shenzhou-17 launched Oct. 25 Eastern, 2023, taking over control of Tiangong from the outgoing Shenzhou-16 crew days later. Tang Hongbo and his colleagues welcomed the incoming Shenzhou-18 crew aboard Tiangong April 25.

The two crews participated in a handover ceremony April 28. Tang handed over the hatch key as a symbolic handing of the baton to Shenzhou-18 mission commander Ye Guangfu.

The Shenzhou-17 crew embarked on two spacewalks to conduct repair and maintenance work on the station’s solar arrays. The panels had suffered damage from micrometeoroid strikes.

The trio also oversaw the arrival of the Tianzhou-7 cargo resupply mission in January. The astronauts also sent live lunar new year’s greetings to television viewers on Earth and participated in electroencephalogram (EEG) tests, which focused on the human brain in space.

They return having conducted 84 in-orbit experiments with more than 200 samples produced, according to China Central Television (CCTV), and have brought back over 400 material samples retrieved after being exposed to space outside the Wentian experiment module.

The Shenzhou-18 crew will carry out more than 90 experiments aboard Tiangong. They will conduct two to three extravehicular activities and six cargo outbound deliveries via the station’s cargo airlock during their six-month-long mission.

Shenzhou-17 was the sixth crew to visit Tiangong. While crewed missions and handovers have apparently become routine for China, the country is advancing its human spaceflight ambitions.

China is close to selecting a fourth batch of astronauts which will be trained to travel to, and work aboard, Tiangong. The new batch may also be involved in training for China’s crewed lunar plans.

China approved its space station plan in 1992 and began building the three-module, T-shaped low Earth orbit outpost in 2021.

China is preparing to expand Tiangong in the coming years. The first move will be sending a multi-functional expansion module with six docking ports to the orbital outpost. This expansion could allow for greater possibilities for international, tourist and commercial visits without disrupting core operations.

Media can’t admit Biden’s disasters and campus hate, so they blame it on ‘conservatives pounce’

By Post Editorial Board April 30, 2024, 9:30 a.m. ET

Missteps under the Biden administration have been labeled as Republicans "seizing" issues.

Proving once again that the press never learns its lesson, the Washington Post graced us this week with a humdinger: “Trump,GOP seizeon campus protests to depict chaos under Biden.” This followed a New York Times headline from December, “As Fury Erupts Over Campus Antisemitism, ConservativesSeizethe Moment.”

In short: Nothing is ever a problem because it’s a problem. It’s only an issue because conservatives “seize” on it, or better yet, “pounce.”

But Americans, particularly Jewish Americans, are coming to their own conclusions about how terrifying these protests are. They witness students taking over public areas, pounding on windows and accosting people, demanding that Israel surrender unconditionally to Hamas terrorists.

They read about activists cheering for Iran over the United States, disappointed that the ayatollah’s missiles didn’t kill more people. It’s ignorance and bile spewed on social media.

What really went down on Columbia campus as anti-Israel protest deadlines loomed — and passed — is shameful. No one is “depicting” anything; this is reality.

Oh, but “Republicans highlight images of turmoil, though most of the pro-Palestinian demonstrations have been peaceful,” the Post continues without shame — using the same language, the same lie, that it did during the George Floyd riots.

No, it is not “peaceful” to chant “From the river to the sea” and call for the eradication of Israel. It is not moral to rip down the posters of kidnapped Israeli civilians. It is hate, pure and simple.

So much seizing and pouncing during the Biden years.

In 2021, the Associated Press reported, “Conservativesseizeon gas crunch to blame Biden, stir base.”

“Conservatives pounced” when soft-on-crime DA Larry Krasner said Philadelphia didn’t have a crime crisis.

Republicans not only “pounced” on high inflation, but CNN saidthey “exploited” the “painful cost-of-living increases.”

A little fatigued from all the pouncing, Republicans “zeroed in” on Biden’s handling of the border.

Something you may have noticed: All these issues are real. Inflation has exploded under Biden.

Allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports is unfair.

Letting criminals free with no bail and decriminalizing things like shoplifting does lead to an increase in crime.

Illegal migrants are flooding into the country.

Is it “pouncing” to point out the truth?

Americans are sick of being lied to by a smug journalist elite who claim the problems we face are simply partisan talking points. It has backfired on the press before, and it will backfire on them again.

Americans don’t need anyone to seize on the things they can see for themselves.

https://nypost.com/2024/04/30/opinion/media-cant-admit-bidens-disasters-and-campus-hate-so-they-blame-it-on-conservatives-pounce/

(They are right Bongino points out that “pounce” is their favorite word, especially when it’s Bidan’s fault)

IT WAS ALL A SETUP: Trump Slams Jack Smith After Bombshell Documents Prove Coordinated Legal Assault by Biden DOJ, NARA

President Trump on Tuesday slammed Jack Smith in remarks outside of a courthouse in New York City.

Trump went after Jack Smith in a Truth Social post on Saturday night after bombshell documents revealed the Biden DOJ coordinated with the National Archives (NARA).

“Wow! It looks like Deranged Jack Smith, a sick PSYCHO, got caught. BIG “STUFF!” See story in Rob Schmitt opening on NEWSMAX. AMAZING — MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Trump continued his attack against Special Counsel Jack Smith on Tuesday morning in remarks outside the New York State courthouse.

“You probably saw last night that Jack Smith got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. It was released late last night and it’s a big story,” Trump said. “The documents case is a hoax, created by them for election interference purposes. That one looks like it’s going asunder.”

Trump continued, “The whole thing is a hoax. All of them are hoaxes, including the civil cases. They’re controlled by the White House, they’re controlled by Democrat judges and prosecutors… and the people are getting it.”

“The public has figured it out because the poll numbers are the highest they’ve ever been,” he added.

China selects new space missions including lunar far side astronomy and terrestrial exoplanet survey

April 30, 2024

The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is backing a new suite of diverse, cutting edge missions, advancing its ambitious agenda in space science.

The initiatives—spanning lunar farside astronomy, astrophysics, exoplanets and heliophysics—aim to place China at the forefront of astronomical research and space exploration. Wang Chi, director of the National Space Science Center (NSSC) under CAS, revealed the missions at the annual Zhongguancun Forum meeting April 27.

Selected missions include Discovering the Sky at the Longest Wavelength (DSL), the Enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry (eXTP) mission, and the ExoEarth Survey, an exoplanet-hunting spacecraft. Another mission will see a spacecraft sent to observe the solar poles. The Taiji mission will use three satellites to detect gravitational waves.

The missions are separate from the China National Space Administration’s planetary and lunar exploration programs. These are known as Tianwen and Chang’e respectively.

The eXTP mission will be a powerful X-ray observatory to monitor the sky and enable multi-messenger studies for gravitational waves and neutrino sources. It will also study the universe under extreme states of matter density, gravity and magnetism.

DSL will consist of an array of 10 small satellites sent into lunar orbit. The nine spacecraft and one mother spacecraft will use the moon as a shield against Earthly electromagnetic interference to enable it to pick up faint, ultra-long wave signals from the early universe.

The ExoEarth Survey, likely a mission also referred to as “Earth 2.0,” or ET, will use the transit, photometry and microlensing methods to search for terrestrial planets and rogue planets. The selected solar mission appears to refer to the previously proposed Solar Polar-orbit Observatory (SPO). This aims to study poles of the Sun, orbiting at an inclination of greater than 80 degrees with respect to the plane of the ecliptic.

Taiji will consist of three spacecraft in heliocentric orbit, building on earlier experimental missions. These will create an ultra-long baseline of 3 million kilometers to detect medium and low-frequency gravitational waves. It is centered on research into the nature of gravity and space-time.

The missions largely come from an earlier round of 2022 candidate missions as part of an expected third Strategic Priority Program (SPP III) to be initiated by CAS.

Of the 13 proposals, 5-7 missions were expected to be selected. It appears however that a new space science program is being created, though still selecting from proposals under SPP III.

None of the missions proposed under the pillar of planetary and earth science appear to be selected. However, there remains the possibility that one or more these are selected under a separate track of missions. A mission to Venus, as proposed by a team SPP III, remains of great interest to China’s planetary science community.

The new missions will follow the first and second round of Strategic Priority Program on Space Science missions. The first included the DAMPE dark matter probe, HXMT X-ray observatory, Shijian-10 recoverable satellite and Quantum Experiments at Space Scale (QUESS) missions. launched across 2015-2017.

SPP II missions include the Einstein Probe which launched early this year and the upcoming Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer (SMILE) in collaboration with the European Space Agency. The Electromagnetic Counterpart All-sky Monitor (GECAM) and the Advanced space-based Solar Observatory (ASO-S) were also launched in recent years.

Meanwhile China is set to launch its Chang’e-6 lunar far side sample return mission from Wenchang spaceport May 3.

$3.5 Billion Slipped Into Ukraine-Israel Aid Bill To 'Supercharge Mass Migration From The Middle East'

Tucked away in the $95 billion military aid package for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan is a $3.5 billion slush fund to open new processing centers for Muslim migrants, in what Sen. Eric Schmitt described as a bid to "supercharge mass migration from the Middle East."

And as Breitbart points out, the $95 billion package does not include any funds to help rebuild America's border defenses against illegal migration - but it does contain $481 million to settle migrants in US cities, and of course, the $3.5 billion to expand migration programs worldwide.

The $3.5 billion was granted to the Department of State, which works with many international groups that feed and transport migrants on their way to the United States.

Biden’s deputies are now using the refugee programs as an adjunct to their diversity-expanding “equity” migration policy. For example, Biden’s deputies used the program in March to import 3,009 migrants from the safe and democratic countries of El Salvador and Guatemala.

They are also using the refugee funds to expand migration routes from many African and Muslim countries. In March, they pulled in 12,018 people from the Congo, plus 16,732 migrants from the Muslim countries of Afghanistan, Syria, Pakistan, Iraq, and Eritrea, according to a report by Stacker.com. -Breitbart

If the War stops investigations will start and Israel will be finished

Rafah Invasion Will Happen With Or Without Hostage Deal: Netanyahu

Despite immense pressure coming from the Biden administration for Israel to secure the hostage deal that's on the table with Hamas, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged that an invasion of Rafah will go on with or without a deal.

He issued the words Tuesday while speaking to an audience sympathetic to his hardline coalition. "The idea that we will stop the war before achieving all its aims is not an option," Netanyahu said. "We will enter Rafah and we will eliminate the Hamas battalions there — whether or not there is a deal — in order to achieve total victory."

In reference to the hawkish Gvura and Tikva forums a statement from by the Prime Minister’s Office indicated that "the groups urged Netanyahu and National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi to continue the war and to resist international pressure."

According to an AP description, "Netanyahu on Tuesday was addressing the Tikva Forum, a small group of families of hostages that’s distinct from the main group representing the families of captive Israelis that has indicated it prefers to see Hamas crushed over the freedom of their loved ones."

The timing of the strong statement is interesting given it came as he met with ultra hardline National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who has vowed to quit the government if Israel doesn't proceed with the Rafah ground offensive. Netanyahu said the words also hours ahead of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arriving in the country.

The AFP on Tuesday has reported that Israel to wait until Wednesday night for a Hamas response to the Gaza truce proposal, according to unnamed Israeli officials.

The Biden administration is desperate to see a deal through, also given it would ease the ratcheting pressure on Biden related to the ongoing revolt of Progressive Democrats ahead of the election over the plight of Palestinians.

This certainly isn't the first time that Netanyahu government officials have issued such declarations. For example in March, Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer was quoted in Bloomberg as saying the military is going to invade Rafah and defeat Hamas "even if the entire world turns on Israel, including the United States."

And at the start of this week, in statements to NBC, US officials expressed confidence that they do not believe Israel is ready to launch a full-scale invasion of Rafah.

Blinken has called Israel's current ceasefire deal on the table "extraordinarily generous" and that Hamas must take it. A Hamas official was quoted as saying, "The new proposal is a positive development, but it is too early to be optimistic."

From the Israeli side, there have been contradictory statements issued, which is sometimes typical as a negotiating tactic. Over the weekend Israeli officials reportedly gave Hamas an ultimatum, saying the group has "one last chance" to reach a deal, according to Axios. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said on Saturday, "If there is a deal, we will suspend the operation" - in reference to the planned Rafah ground offensive.

But Netanyahu appears to have just thrown cold water on that, in his fresh statements perhaps meant by design to collapse the fragile talks just before they reach the finish line.

"Jack Smith Is Trying To Interfere With 2024 Election": Stefanik Files Ethics Complaint Against Special Counsel

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) filed an ethics complaint against special counsel Jack Smith on Tuesday, in which she accuses the prosecutor overseeing federal investigations into Donald Trump of trying to "interfere with the 2024 election and stop the American people from electing" the former president.

"At every turn, he has sought to accelerate his illegal prosecution of President Trump for the clear (if unstated) purpose of trying him before the November election," Stefanik wrote in a Tuesday morning tweet. "Smith’s conduct has brought disrepute to the Department of Justice and the entire federal government, and the DOJ’s Office of Professional Responsibility should impose the discipline that such conduct warrants."

US says 5 IDF units violated human rights: 4 have remediated, one being reviewed

Cases predate Gaza war; Washington says it received new info from Israel on 5th unit — thought to be Netzah Yehuda Battalion — after Jerusalem last week feared imminent sanctions

The United States found five units of Israel’s security forces responsible for gross violations of human rights, the first time Washington has reached such a conclusion about Israeli forces, the State Department said on Monday, though it has not barred any of the units from receiving US military assistance.

The incidents in question took place outside of Gaza before conflict broke out between Israel and Hamas in October.

Israel has conducted “remediation” in the cases of four of the units in compliance with US law prohibiting military assistance to security force units that commit such abuses and have not been brought to justice, State Department deputy spokesperson Vedant Patel told reporters.

Patel declined to offer specifics on the violations US officials looked at, which units were involved or what remediation steps were taken.

“Four of these units have effectively remediated these violations, which is what we expect partners to do,” Patel said. In the case of a fifth unit, Washington has not yet determined whether there has been sufficient remediation and was still in discussions with Israel, he said.

The fifth unit is believed to be the Netzah Yehuda Battalion of the Israel Defense Forces, which has been implicated in the 2022 death of 78-year-old Palestinian-American Omar As’ad.

Reports last week that the US could take action against Netzah Yehuda were strongly condemned by Israeli leadership, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and other ministers in the government publicly calling on the US not to go ahead with sanctions.

Israeli officials, including Gallant and war cabinet minister Benny Gantz, held separate talks with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in an effort to prevent Washington from going ahead with slapping sanctions on Netzah Yehuda, a Kfir infantry brigade battalion designed for religious troops that is largely comprised of ultra-Orthodox nationalists.

In a letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson made public Friday, Blinken said the US would hold off on any decision about aid to the battalion while it reviews new information provided by Israel.

An Israeli official told The Times of Israel Monday that Jerusalem “categorically rejects any attempts to harm the IDF and Israel’s right to defend itself.”

The official added that nothing — not Iran and its proxies, State Department findings, or ICC warrants — will keep Israel from achieving its war aims.
