New Leger poll reveals Canadians believe country is "broken" and are angry at federal government
According to a Leger poll released Wednesday, 70 percent of Canadians believe their country is broken and that the federal government is far too focused on things like climate change and the funding of the war in Ukraine than economic issues.
“It feels like everything is broken in this country right now,” was the response of seven in 10 – with Leger noting that this result was three percentage points higher now than it was a year ago when it conducted a similar survey.
The poll notes that women, Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) voters, Albertans, Ontarians, and “those angry with how the country is being managed by the federal government,” are most apt to agree with the statement, “it feels like everything is broken in this country right now”.
That includes 43 percent of Liberal voters, 66 percent of New Democratic Party voters and 72 percent of women.
Leger also recorded that 59 percent of Canadians describe themselves as angry or very angry over how the federal government is running Canada – 27 percent are very angry.
Although CPC voters are the angriest voters in the survey, about 60 percent of NDP supporters are also angry too – even though their party has been propping up the Trudeau government in loose coalition for over a year.
Those surveyed in the poll did not rank climate change or funding the war in Ukraine as matters of high importance. Instead, as the poll states, “Rising costs and inflation is of utmost importance to Canadians, followed by the state of health care and affording a place to live.” Inflation was ranked as the number one concern by 34 percent of those surveyed. Climate change was ranked as important by only 16 percent of those who participated in the poll.
“Canadians believe the federal government is more focused on issues that are of lower importance to them. Climate change, immigration, and the war in the Ukraine are less important to Canadians than affordability of a place to live, the state of health care, and rising interest rates,” Leger notes.
Leger contacted a total of 1,590 people from Feb. 23-25. The poll has a margin of error no greater than ±2.51%, (19 times out of 20).

The claim that thousands of Indigenous children who attended Canada’s Indian Residential Schools between 1883 and 1996 are buried in “mass graves” across Canada, reputed victims of genocide, is slowly being exposed as a hoax.
Though the missing children and genocide claims have been bandied about for decades, their widespread promotion began May 27, 2021 with a media release from the Chief Kamloops Indian Reserve in British Columbia that was broadcast around the world claiming “confirmation of the remains of 215 children who were students of the Kamloops Indian Residential School.”
But focusing solely on the recent history of both the genocide and mass grave allegations neglects their historical roots and impact, namely that what could be called an Aboriginal-style blood libel seems to have been in the air for at least three decades.
The precise origins of the accusation that the Indian Residential Schools were houses of horrific abuse are still unclear though Kevin Annett, a defrocked United Church of Canada cleric, is named by many as a key promoter.
He has done so by giving countless addresses, producing many videos, and publishing several books, his only vocations since being expelled from the United Church in 1995, five years after his ordination, allegedly for what were considered outrageously libelous rants from the pulpit.
One story widely distributed by Annett, claimed Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip took a group of students from the Kamloops Indian Residential School on a picnic and then abducted them. Ontario’s Queen’s University says it’s investigating a break and enter incident after a Palestinian flag was raised on the flagpole atop of its clock tower last week.
The Kingston postsecondary school, however, backtracked on using the word “hate-motivated” in a statement it issued on the matter.
“On Friday, March 8, a Palestinian flag was hung on the flagpole of the Grant Hall clocktower on university campus,” said Queen’s. “Campus Security and Emergency Services attended the scene and immediately removed the flag.”
The university added that “this incident was the result of a break and enter” and that “Campus Security alongside Kingston Police are investigating the incident.”
The statement initially also said that “campus community members who experience or witness a hate-motivated act or have concerns for their physical safety should contact Campus Security or local police immediately.”

The UK’s scandal-plagued Tavistock clinic based its protocols on guidelines from WPATH, a prominent transgender activist group that promotes ‘sex change’ surgeries and hormones for minors.
A new report shows that the U.K.’s National Health Service (NHS) has been influenced by transgender activists from the notorious World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).
According to a report by the Daily Mail, the NHS has been influenced by guidelines developed by WPATH for over a decade. Leaked communications recently revealed that WPATH, a radical pro-transgender group, is run by activists and pro-LGBT doctors who knew that cross-sex hormone injections cause cancer and other serious diseases but prescribed them anyway. An internal conversation between the doctors also revealed that they know minors and their parents cannot give “informed consent” because they often do not understand the permanent consequences of hormone injections and mutilating “transgender” surgeries. Climate Change Minister Guilbeault flippantly dismisses potential devastating economic impact of Irving Oil sale.
Climate Change Minister Steven Guilbeault, the man who determines Canada’s environmental policies while balancing economic needs, said on Monday that he’s not an expert on the very market that he’s regulating the most.
After a reporter asked the minister for comment on New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs’ claim that Irving Oil’s possible sale is related to his environmental agenda, Guilbeault responded: “I can’t really comment, I’m not an expert on oil markets.”
The minister further said that the future of the refinery will require investment in decarbonization, “which is exactly what our government is doing through a number of different initiatives.”
Irving Oil is Canada’s largest refinery, and employs about 4,000 people in Premier Blaine’s province. The New Brunswick refinery processes 320,000 barrels a day.
Two weeks ago, the private company announced that their president, Ian Whitcomb, was resigning. An ongoing strategic review taking place among Irving Oil executives could lead to a full or partial sale, the group announced last year.
Premier Higgs later claimed the potential sale was related to Guilbeault’s federal carbon tax and clean fuel standards.

Disturbing video taken from inside a safe injection site in BC reveal it’s not as “supervised” as advertised.
Deeply disturbing video from inside one of British Columbia’s safe injection sites has emerged from independent journalist, Kevin Dahlgren.
Dahlgren posted a clip of himself walking from state-sanctioned room to room at a downtown Vancouver location, giving many Canadians what would be their first glimpse inside.
The video shows that Vancouver’s “Supervised injection site” isn’t quite as supervised as health authorities suggest.
“Inside a “safe” injection site. The most chaotic environment I have ever been in. People passed out in bowls of cereal, women screaming behind doors guarded by others, overdoses, crying etc. Staff were nowhere. It was horrifying,” he wrote in a caption to his video on X.
In the video, one man is comatose, his face resting in his cereal, while another person lies face first on the floor. Another man pretends to be driving a racecar.

UNRWA personnel were “directly and indirectly involved in recruiting, training, funding, and supporting terrorism"
The Lawfare Project (LP)has demanded that the Trudeau government explain why it funded the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). The LP called this funding “irresponsible” in a release.
The organization notes that UNRWA personnel were “directly and indirectly involved in recruiting, training, funding, and supporting terrorism – including egregiously participating in the Oct. 7 butchering of Jews and the kidnapping and hiding of hostages.”
The LP, along with its local counsel David Elmaleh of RE-LAW LLP, are formally addressing their concerns to Global Affairs Canada and the Privy Council’s Office requesting copies of all documents relevant to UNRWA funding, all documents indicating a link between Hamas and UNRWA and copies of any correspondence documenting previous concerns of the organization.
“Organizations such as the Lawfare Project have been sounding the alarm for years on UNRWA’s corruption and terror support,” said Brooke Goldstein, founder and executive director of The Lawfare Project. “If we uncover evidence that the Canadian federal government was aware of Hamas’ influence in the organization, yet decided to spend taxpayer funds in any event with knowledge that the funds could be used to support terror, we will explore any and all legal remedies at our disposal.”
Goldstein noted that former Prime Minister Stephen Harper's Conservative government stopped funding UNRWA in 2010 because of concerns it was unduly influenced by Hamas. However the money began flowing again after the election of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Continue...

As a senior financial professional who served seven leaders of the Liberal Party of Canada “(LPC)”, including four Prime Ministers, I feel an obligation to the public interest to write this piece now, in a troubled time.
We lament that we are a nation divided under the failed leadership of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. We deserve better.
The objectives of this Opinion Editorial are threefold and assert:
1) The Bureau reporting of February 6 and 21, 2024 regarding the HSBC whistleblower’s disclosure of mortgage fraud since 2015, estimated at $500 million in questionable mortgages, is profoundly concerning. Also, The Bureau estimates “that from 2014 to 2023, well over $200 – Billion in Vancouver Model and Toronto Method funds could have poured through underground diaspora networks and Canadian financial institutions into Toronto’s and Vancouver’s real estate.” This investigative disclosure by The Bureau deeply troubles concerned Canadians.
2) Prime Minister Justin Trudeau demonstrates wilful blindness of the profound impact of mortgage fraud on Canadians. Mortgage fraud is a major contributor to Canada’s current housing affordability crisis. Regrettably, as reported by The Bureau on March 1, 2024, $65,000 was transferred in June 2016 after a LPC 2016 fundraiser to the Prime Minister’s Papineau Federal Liberal Association, from over 40 Vancouver-area donors. Four of those donations reportedly came from directors of Tiger Arms.
3) There are specific actions that the federal government and the Federal Liberal Agency of Canada (FLAC/LPC ) can take to immediately address the critical issues arising from The Bureau’s reporting.

Moments after more than 100 million Americans finished watching the Super Bowl, a post on President Joe Biden’s personal X account showed an image of him smiling, while his eyes emanated red beams. The Feb. 11 post read, “Just like we drew it up.”
For the uninitiated, the message seems confusing at best and scary at worst. But the picture wasn’t for them. It was designed for the online supporters and detractors of President Biden, who are already well aware of the so-called Dark Brandon meme.
Dark Brandon is just one of hundreds, if not thousands, of political memes that are subtly shaping the thoughts and perceptions of millions of voters in 2024.
In practice, an internet meme is any image, phrase, video, or other electronic material that people enjoy replicating, sharing, or reinterpreting to share with others.
“If you have a very, very potent meme that ruins a politician’s reputation enough, that could potentially sway an election,” said Don Caldwell, the general manager and editor-in-chief of Know Your Meme.

An Il-76 was lost east of Moscow due to engine failure, the Defense Ministry has reported
An Ilyushin Il-76 military transport plane crashed in Russia on Tuesday, after one of its engines failed during take-off, the Defense Ministry has reported.
The aircraft had 15 people on board, including eight crew members and seven passengers, the statement said. The incident happened in Ivanovo Region, some 250km east of the capital of Moscow.
