Other small undocumented features:

Ctrl + Shift + / can be used to quickly open and close the settings panel.

For compatibility reasons, the shortcuts will not work if any sort of input element (text field, tick box, dropdown list .etc) has focus.

If any of those elements has focus, you can deselect them by pressing the Esc.

If a key or keybind combination is not being used by the script, any default actions will apply.

The command named "Go to selected post" basically just click the selected post's ID link. It's pretty hacky, but I use it as a way to navigate into a thread from the board index.

I've written it as an userscript extension, but you can use it by copy and pasting the code into your User JS if you really want to, although I would advise against it since the full script is over 1000 lines long.

Additional information

This package is the full source of the project. It contains all code, art and audio that was or would have been used for any part of the project (tech demo or otherwise).

This package contains code that requires the Ren'py VN engine to run. You will need to grab the latest version here: https://www.renpy.org/latest.html

If you are going to modify the game, you will need to understand various features of renpy scripts and also be familiar with the python language.

There are some useful notes in the subfolder game/exclude.

Available character rigs in this project are the main 6 and Norman. Additional characters have only the nameplates for them.

There are a handful of backgrounds. You can view them in the character rigging scene (Dev->Character Rigging). Same goes for the actual characters.

For good measure, please ensure you have AT LEAST 2GB of drive storage available.

Once Renpy is running, go to Preferences (under Launch Project) and set the projects directory to the PARENT DIRECTORY of the directory where you extracted all the game files to. (eg. /home/(((you)))/workspace/renpy/mlpvn/README.md, mlpvn is the project folder, you need to select the renpy folder as the target)

Twilight was supposed to go to her Midnight Sparkle forum in an early draft? If the writers were being smart with that it could have some potential if they made it with an ideological/thematics of the show bend. Say, as with the other ponies struggle with the opposite of their elements to varying degrees (especially Rarity with greed) is this Twilight becoming an embodiment of disharmony? Is it her darkside that she must deal with in a similar way to Luna and Celestia? Or is it a more ideological conflict? Say, as the text implies here, order vs harmony? There is a lot of interesting paths that could be but more than likely it''d be only fan service.

Your name is Anonymous Shitposter. You don't know how you ended up in Equestria but today you're going to really wish you could go back. You've been living in a cabin on the outskirts of Ponyville for a year or two now. Though the little ponies have long since learned that you don't want to eat them, you are, for all the intents and purposes of this world, a giant monster. You tower at least two feet over the heads of average ponies, and, not that you've ever beaten Big Mac in arm-wrestling, but you're a fair bit stronger than the average pony as well. You'll never crack a skull with your bare hands, but your strength and dexterity may help you to overcome obstacles that many ponies can't. Furthermore, while you're not completely immune to magic, your alien body isn't a great conductor for it.

The position within the timeline is within season two. This means no crystal tree-castle, no Twilicorn, no Discord, and the Elements of Harmony are still in Canterlot.

I think a big problem with the old project was a lack of direction. I just made sprite after sprite with no idea when it would be done or even how much progress had completed. If we were going to do it again, we would need to outline it from start to finish so we could have a clear direction and tightly focus on what the fuck is going on instead of blundering about aimlessly.
