Anyone else use, or totally in love with portable kayaks? I am a proud and happy owner of an Oru Kayak Bay. They are a bit pricey, but are perfect when you're short on room, are lighter than conventional kayaks, and a notch more elegant in my reckoning.

I thought folding kayaks were enough. Boy was I surprised when I learned about Pakayak! Its sections nest into each other.

It's heavier than my Bay, at 55 vs. 26 lbs, but its heavier body would make it a better choice for white water, a no-go for Oru kayaks. I don't need a 2nd kayak, but will be getting a $10 sticker in Pakayak's ongoing Kickstarter. Best to encourage healthy competition I figure.

Maybe in the future Oru Kayak and Pakayak will be the Coke and Pepsi of portable kayaks. Since I've seen images of both in San Francisco Bay, I'd love if the companies and fans could get together some day for playful competitions and outdoorsmen's fellowship.
I love taking my Oru Bay on the river. It's light enough to be carried through the woods from my house and back, and always draws attention. Anyone else partake in the wonderful world of portable kayaks, or are conventional kayaks your preference?
