Working at a shop, I've noticed the vast majority of modern Nissans all use the same oil filter and viscosity. Why do they do that, and why don't other makes do the same?

5w30? Probably saves the shop money to do it that way and it runs just as fine as the specified oil and filter.
also revenge for pearl harbor.

That's because they use the same engine in multiple vehicles. Also it's easier to only have that one oil and filter on hand at dealership shops rather then the fucking A-Z stocked at any regular shop. Also Honda, and I think Toyota to a degree Though those faggots use cartridge filters.

Well the second one is a rendering so no. Though it does look like it. The other one is a Mid Night members car, who was a minimum doing over 280KM (174 MPH) and could be capable of over 200MPH. And it looks fucking badass, have some more

Does /o/ like the Hardbodys?
I got myself a '96 hardbody xe sitting at mi mum's house. It desperately needs a tune up, but besides that its not in bad shape.
I'd keep it at my place but I have no place to put it. Plus I don't have the time or money to work on it right now, since my current truck is sucking up all my disposable income.

Yes. Toss your current truck off a cliff and put all your effort into the Hardbody. Overhaul the brakes and steering system and sensors. Proceed to never envy anyone else's vehicle again.

I wish you hadn't said that. I love that little thing. It was more of a commuter truck for me back in the day, and it was fun as fuck to drive. Only problem is, dat KA engine and 2WD lacks the power and utility I need these days. I haul a lot of equipment out in the country for werk, and it most certainly would not be up for the task.
Maybe one of these days I can make it a project truck, but for now it will have to wait.

Yeah, it pretty much is a commuter car with the KA/RWD setup. I've heard of them being loaded up to 2000 lbs but that sounds incredibly stressful for the drivetrain.
If you're willing to just treat the bed as a pillar for the tail light enclosure, though, it's pretty easy to stomp cars with twice the horsepower. From a stop, at least. That FS5W71C 1st gear, man.

The board needs post and what better way is there then sexy sexy Z's? Also recently I realized that Infinity Q45's are Cima's. Not ground breaking but I find it interesting.

I've actually been thinking of selling off my current shitbox after life calms down for me enough to get the title in my hands again and getting one of the 4x4 models. I need something fun to drive (sick of FWD/automatic) that wont break the bank and isn't useless in the snow because until recently I was living somewhere tropical and I have NO experience driving in the snow. I just want to add simple bolt-ons like coilover suspension, a 240sx intake manifold, shorty headers, CAI, 240sx cam, better exhaust and maybe better tires depending on what the condition is if/when I get it. Would be tempting to swap the engine with the ka24de (because same block casting makes for an easy swap) and supercharge it. Not really worth it to swap the engine without later adding forced induction, unless my engine is about to die anyways, since in its stock form the DOHC engine only makes like 10hp more than the SOHC.
