In the past I'd have called this reckless and borderline degenerate for sure, but now that the entire collective automotive universe is under threat from hackable self-driving self-immolating electric soap bars, we need as many of these brave, valiant warriors on our streets as possible. To try and remind people of the fun people had behind the wheel for over a century before an era of cameras and snitches.
The old dude with the 90s brick phone, you can just tell he's dead inside. Stone faced NPC with not much time left on this Earth and is choosing to make his final years the worst possible experience for everyone else.

It looked like they were taking slightly more time than is polite to cross the road. And by slightly i mean "holy shit, i have seen people with 2 broken legs move faster". Also not a single person seen hit in those clips was on a designated road crossing. So the most you can pin on the driver is a whoopsie, small accident.

Oh hey, remember that Stratos concept from 2010 that everyone hoped Lancia would make and never did, based on an earlier Stratos concept from 2005 that everyone hoped Lancia would make and never did?
Looks like we'll be getting 25 production examples after all, nearly a decade since the concept's debut. 2 have already been built. Shame about the headlights though.

Anyone ever noticed how decent styling Dacia Duster actually has? It does not look overdesigned like everything else these days, lights on it are practical and manage to look good, and they apparently let a 12year old with scissors in their blueprint room and now they have a pickup coming out this year. I refuse to call that a pickup truck, that's a pickup car

sauce on that? I really doubt it's FCA building these so I'm wondering how they got to do that.
I agree with you about the headlights, that's pretty sad, even if now it looks like a micro Ferrari.
>>17740
The first one looked less bulky and seemed less cheap imo. As for the pick-up car (nice name), I hate the height of the car belt. And it keeps going higher throughout the car until the rear end, which makes the whole design look absurd.

It's not Fiat themselves (since they haven't done anything fun on their own accord since the Coupé), but it's a private company that have already delivered a little of their proposed goods. No real difference between it and the last few years of X1/9s (which were badged and sold as Bertones since Fiat were no longer interested in selling them).
And the Ferrari resemblance is intentional; they're based on the running gear of the F430. The original Stratos did have a Ferrari engine, so it's not entirely unprecedented. Maybe one customer will be daring enough to retrofit pop-ups.

Still trying too tear the thing apart, just found out about 3 screws behind the clutch plate. Found them 10 minutes after i made a gap between both sides about 1cm wide. Now trying to figure out should i try to undo the screws or just keep spreading both pieces apart until the screws hold together nothing.

I did not take up on restoring a 1960s soviet bike because it's easy. I will do it because it's cheap. And i really wanted to get into real vintage shit, none of that casual 90s japanese bike business
Seriously, those things were thrash quality, but simple to fix even half a century later. No exotic parts, the carbuerator needle is really the only thing you have to figure out yourself, as everyone offers different ideas.
Those 3 bolts were probably not mandatory anyway, will keep you updated.

Cracked it open finally, only to find a /gore/ worthy scene. The crankshaft and connecting rod were completely bust. Guess that sitting in water for some years with no oil does a number on old parts. Will look for a replacement engine or maybe parts if they are available, but no sooner than late May.
I also found out in some instruction manuals that i manged to translate from moonrunes to human letters that it runs on 63 gasoline. Sixty-fucking-three. Not sure where i am supposed to get that. Lowest i can get here is 95. Will still try to restore the frame/wheels/brakes in the meantime. Will probably but some chink 2-stroke bike kit and jam it on there.
The other bike i will be trying to restore is a Minsk 125 from late 80s, it at least is supposed to run on 92 gasoline. It will accept 95 just fine. And the engine and wheels actualy turn, which is a good sign.
