For me these are the best engine sounds in the world. Nothing sound better than powerful , loud engine aria created by 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or even 16 cylinders.

(Be careful with the volume level - the recordings from the dynamometer can be really loud)

There has never been a better sounding Subie boxer engine than Colin McRae's Legacy RS from the 1993 Tour de Corse. Just listen to that reverb, that supercharger whine even though I'm sure they were turbocharged, that unfiltered raw grunt from just a 2.0 litre engine.

It wasn't really absorbed, Hacktivision bought Bizarre Creations a week before PGR4 came out and basically signed their death warrant. They then made Blur which was subject to a horrendous advertising campaign that sabotaged the game's success since it directly attacked Nintenyearolds that made them vow not to buy the game, despite advertising having little to do with a game's developers or publishers. Plus it came out the same month as Split/Second and ModNation Racers, two games that should have also been bestsellers.
