Government regulations and people buying shitty crossovers got us here. It will only get worst. If the electric car is "the future" then can they at least stop making them all as ugly as they can. Do they need to stand out so much that you can spot the ugly things from a mile away? It's like with Hybrids when they came out, make it "stand out" so people know you're "saving the earth"

Too bad the technology itself is still garbage. They claim 220-470 km range, depending on temperature and if it's city or highway, but we all know that's a scam, like pretty much everything about EVs right now. God save us once EU bans sale of new petrol cars, I imagine the price of old never-rusting 205 1.9 diesels skyrockets.

That's a completely fucking new car. It should be called the 209, and the only reason I can imagine it isn't, is because of someone at Peugeot deciding a rebadged Talbot did not deserve the name of "306", so they called it the 309 instead.
Also there's no mistaking it, it's fucking huge compared to its predecessors. The 205 and 206 were small cars. The 207 moved up slightly to the same size as the likes of the Civic and Astra Hatch, but it was still maneuverable enough to be a successor. This on the other hand looks like a lowered crossover. No illusion of compactness in any form, this thing is huge and they know it.
