/ok/ here

Fighter jets are pretty cool, but even the oldest ones millions of dollars in 2018. So what would be the automotive equivalents to these jets?

F-14 Tomcat: Long-range, very powerful and fast hangar queen with active variable geometry (kinda like active aero).

F/A-18: Can do pretty much anything, light and maneuverable. Pretty reliable, but frankly terrible range and limited speed are some of it's issues.

F-4: Quite old (60s and 70s) but good for it's time. Reliable and quick, with a few peculiarities specific to it's airframe.

is that the latest ace combat I see?

If I consider fighter jets are expensive compared to other planes, only hyper cars would fit in this list.

So I'd go for:

<Pagani Huayra

<Porsche 918

<Ferrari GTO

Running a steam tank on burning 1$ bills would be cheaper than to fly a jet equal distance
