Aston Martin is doing nicht so good. They have to borrow engines and infotainment from Mercedes. They are slow to bring out money making SUVs and their primary product is low volume expensive coupes.

I kind of like the side angle. Not as much the front and the huge ass grill.

Every brand died in 2005-2007. What's left is zombified corpses of yesteryear. Every MFG is laden with debt and regulations in a market where no one with a brain would buy new. Saab was on life support anyways even before '07. GM will never make something as daring as the GNX/Turbo Coupe, Fiero, hell the entire Pontiac brand, again.
Sporty hatchbacks and coupes have all been ditched for god-awful crossovers. Good luck finding a decent two door that isn't a top end "muscle car" or Corvette. All the weight savings of the 80s and 90s have been thrown away to make vehicles "safer" or appeal to normie ideas of comfort like infotainment and cramped, bulbous interiors. Rest in piece, aggressive styling, because that shit is practically illegal under current regulation.

>american manufacturers
<lol
>japanese manufacturers
<making nothing cool anymore. at least they still make sedans and hatchbacks though.
>european manufacturers
<making unreliable safety obsessed bullshit and keeping non-euros out of the EU market. everything is also owned by VW and kept afloat by government monies
It's all bullshit man. There are no more 2 door cars or cars under 1000kg. It's all overly heavy garbage with automated everything. Only thing us dumb goys deserve is fucking crossovers, SUVs, trucks and massive sedans.

Sure is hard to keep chewing that stale burger, eh?
Europe at least still has small, cheap cars. Dacia, Renault, the VW Up, every non-SUV Fiat makes. Škoda is no longer a car brand, it's a gift from god. BMW 1xx series is pretty great too. Seat still makes something (they don't have their SUV even), Peugeot a shit these days. Citroen never was anything but a baguette carrier.
What are the Australians doing these days though, eh?
If you want something fast and unpractical only for you and your gf, get a motorcycle

Still getting shitfaced and doing skids in the mcdick's parking lot.

They've gone from making stars in weird czech films to making super duper cheap VWs with magic engines prone to ignoring their ECU and going for maximum powah.
The 04-07 1.9tdi was a magic box of fury and torque. Only rated at 105bhp but could thrash post-VVTi NB miatas.
not around a corner though it was so front heavy it's terrifying

Yeah but they're all still shitboxes with VW engines. They don't look cool, they're almost all FWD and still have loads of electronic garbage.
Škoda is surprisingly popular where I live and the rest of post-soviet Europe though. The Octavia is the most popular new car here.

What? Seat, VW and Škoda for sure. But BMW, Fiat, Peugeot and Renault engines have nothing in common. Ok, Dacia might be Renaults attempt to aim for the super-cheap car market, which always is booming, but other than that, European manufacturers use whatever the hell engines they manage to dig out from thier blueprint piles.
VW might be holding the market by the balls, but there is plenty of variety or options.

>Peugeot is a shit
they've done their best cars since the 205 with the 308 and the 3008 (if you like crossovers) and now with the 508, what are you on about?
>Citroën was always bad
<he forgot the SM, GX, Traction, 2CV, DS and whatnots
Ok now their bumber cars are shit, but it hasn't always been the case.
>Seat doesn't make SUV
<what are the Arona, Ateca and Tarraco
<Praising Seat, which only are rebranded WV, same goes for Skoda
Stop posting without checking.

>they don't look cool
If Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Alpine, Bentley, Rolls Royce, BMW (8 series? i8?), Mercedes-Benz (GTR?), Bugatti, Peugeot (308 GTI?), Renault (Megane RS?), Volkswagen (Golf GTI/R?), Volvo (Polestar incoming), Jaguar, hell even Fiat (124 Abarth) and all the smaller Euro carmakers don't make a single car that look appealing to you then I don't see anything that would in the entire car industry.
Also most sports car on the list are RWD or AWD because yes, basic people's cars are obviously FWD because they don't care about high grab and drifts for their everyday commute in crowded, cramped towns. It also makes more room in the cabin since there's no drive shaft and people like roomy cars.
The only thing I can't deny is electronic garbage. Then again, people like having a TV and a computer that tells them all they want everywhere, so you could at least understand why it's happening.

All of them, struggling to make something good. The FJ Cruiser was the last fun car made unfortunately.
