That's a good point, but then if it's not a samurai then what exactly is the vehicle in the image?

>Subaru Baja
Are they any good? I really dig the look of them. Not sure I miss that mid 2000s plastic 2-tone, but I like how they look still.

Just got an 03 same color scheme as your pic. Love her to death. King springs and spacer for 2 in lift. Intake exhaust and brush guard.
I would go for a turbo ej255 5mt 04-06 for a bit more power fut practical and fun to drive

Did you have trouble finding one in manual or did you end up with the automatic? They seem like the kind of car that might be harder to find in manual to me.

I got really fucking lucky and got manual with 70000 miles. Manual is hard. Turbo is hard both together are like hens teeth. Worth the look though. The ej255 on the turbo is worth it. Or get one for really cheep and sti swap

I'll keep my eye out if something else doesn't woo me over. The Baja is not my go to pick for a next car, but I like them. I'd rather not settle for an automatic. I'll see what the future holds.
While on topic I saw a red one on my way home yesterday. I like it more in yellow.

If I get my job I should be able to fix up my 86 samurai. Swapping a 1.6 Geo tracker in it. Though I would like air lockers on front and back of it.

It's all in your style. Smalles cars in general are fun to drive, because you get a much better sense of speed. I once had to borrow my friends Audi Allroad as a replacement for my Audi 80. The disconnection from the road was horrifying.
The ride is so soft i did not notice i was going 130, power steering made me think i was either missing a front wheel or my trailer was so heavy the front was almost off the ground and i was at least thankfull friend had removed both traction control and ABS from it, so it was predictable on a wet road.
Hell, the less insulation you have between you and the outside the better. Dacias have always been and always will be the minimal legal product you can drive, and i respect them for that.

I mean I have an even smaller Clio II, which is only an older version of the Sandero, same engine, same platform. I never feel that I go fast, since I can not go fast. It only feels like it would break apart when I brake and hit 4k rpm, but not fast.

I like the look of the Tercel a lot, I don't know what's exactly wrong with it but it looks like a crumb of the kei car industry brought to America.
