So ford is supposed to stop production on cars due to poor sales in comparison to trucks, SUV's, and crossovers.

One one hand signs are pointing to this making sense to bean counters. On the other hand, who the fuck thinks not selling ANY cars outside of the Mustang (and some probably shitty hybrid focus)?

Discuss.

It is. Small hatchbacks is the heart of EU sales, they won't give up the Ka, Fiesta and Focus that fast.

Why do people get trucks when the majority of modern day ones are oversized, which is overkill for your average consumer

SUVs I can understand, great for families. Crossovers are usually ugly pieces of shit that don't usally perform well. Is it seriously because people just want space? Why so you need so much?

I love my sedans, hatchbacks, and small trucks and it is so painful.

I can explain for crossovers: its cheap hatchbacks on an elevated chassis. This gives poor, unsecure drivers (or people that don't like cars) a feeling of overseeing the road and thus, a feeling of security.

I hate American trucks, they are designed to look big because it attracts what the normal faggot truck buy likes, looks agression, big = must be strong and powerful.

I prefer the Tacoma's. No need to have wide oversized body style.

Keyword:SOME

The majority of Americans get Trucks but don't haul heavy things. If they do its rare and you are wasting extra money and gas so you can have some extra space. Yet most people don't need that space, there isn't much more you can do that your average modern sedan can't do, hell even modern hatchbacks. The backseats of most modern trucks are still cramped somehow, with the only one I've been in that was comfortable was a 2017 Silverado. If you have a job that requires heavy moving, I completly understand.

I love Tacomas, I've keep considering getting one but I can't afford themLeast new onesI like new cars so. Comfy as fuck for being so small.

Its a shame to, Focus (mainly hatchback) and Fusions aren't bad little cars. I don't give much of a shit on whatever else they sell besides their newest Mustangs. F150 is ok I suppose, least what I know about em.

I haven't seen a crossover that looked better than a sedan, especially ford's crossovers compared to their sedans. They should just make the base model sedans and a loaded version priced between the base crossover and the loaded crossover. That way they all look like good deals somehow.

Yes, the last ones are for sale in the US right now.

I just thought about something. Ford will still have sedans to sell, they'll just be branded Lincoln. That's not a so stupid move.

Part of it's the view, part is perceived safety, part of it is that they think it makes them alpha. Very few pickup trucks that aren't either part of a fleet or bearing a business's logo are actually used for work or anything that would merit really driving a pickup truck.
