You know the meme of how whenever someone asks what car they should get, the immediate response is to tell them to get a used Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic? Well the response on /r/cars 90% of the time is to tell them to lease a brand fucking new Mazda3 because "it's the most fun reliable daily driver you can buy" even though it's a front wheel drive economy subcompact that understeers like everything else on the road. Yes the Mazda3, not the MazdaSPEED3 for some fucking reason. The 2019 version has a crappy torsion beam in the rear for extra lameness. Really the whole board at large is absolutely paranoid about buying used cars because they assume that everything that doesn't have a warranty is a money pit that will cost more in the long run than leasing.

The hell? Mazda 3 series might have reliable engines, but everything else is just abyssmal. After a single winter my 323 door still is about to rust off completely, and it was welded in brand new last autumn. No legroom for anyone who is not a manlet, plastics are cheap af, and rear interior light sensors do not work anymore. IT IS NOT EVEN 20 YEARS OLD.

That's so retarded. So many people are paranoid about buying a used car. Honestly, my car is a money pit, but it's because I keep putting shit I want in it, and I have no intention of making my money back. I get that money back in smiles. The Mazda 6 was pretty cool, though, especially that godly Mazdaspeed 6, which was the ultimate sleeper.
