Does it truly deserve the title of "Worst Car in History All Things Considered"? I think Jeremy Clarkson for the most part is a scam and Top Gear is a show you watch for entertainment, not for its car reviews. But with that said, what is your experience with this car? Is the handling really as terrible as some make it to be?

I would disagree somewhat. They do disseminate some valid opinions. Muh Italian soul could certainly be a load, but I wouldn't know because I've never driven a Ferrari or an Alfa.

Lamborghini = Audi so doesn't count

>what is your experience with this car?

None, other than that on the rare occasions I see them, they are driven by old women.

It's one of the most underrated cars in my opinion. It's a very smooth driving coupe and it looks very elegant in real life. It has only around 300 hp which is not super fast for a coupe this heavy but it doesn't really matter.

If you're looking to buy used, keep in mind that they introduced a facelift in 2006 which featured an upgraded suspension amongst other things. I'm tempted to buy one, since there are several good offers on my local market but I actually wanted an SC400, which are rare af.

If you're going to get one the pre-facelift is a must imo.

The only "interesting" tidbit about this car is that it was the last vehicle in production to have a radio that took cassette tapes.

Otherwise, it's a Mercedes SL but built with typical Lexus qualities. They're stupid reliable, cheaper to maintain then their European counterparts, and absolutely perfect for the demographic who buys cars like this. Also, it looks 10x better IRL than in pictures although that doesn't mean it's notably good looking.
