>theory test

I could get not passing a practical test (Fuck shoulder checking for Bicyclists, they should watch out for me, not the other way around.) But the Theoretical bit? I passed that part so easily I can't hardly remember it to even help you out.

Maybe accept cars aren't meant to be your hobby

The fuck is a theory test? This some kind of EU thing? Is that just like the test I took at the DMV forever ago when I first got my permit? I passed all my driving tests on the first go.

Yeah, in EU you have to prove that you can read and can answer 30 questions, from which you can make 3 mistakes.

There are 4 answers to each question.

Question pool is about 600 (at least where i live)

We have them in Australia. You have to pass a written test before you can get your L-plates. Then you have to rack up at least 120 hours of driving (at least 30/40 hours with a registered instructor) before you can apply for your driving test to graduate to your P-plates. Thank fuck I'm an old fart and didn't have to go through any of that shit.

it's a test you do on a computer.

you have to answer 50 multiple choice questions of which you have to get 43 right to pass (I got 42 my first try and 40 my second).

then there's a hazard perception test where they show you 14 simulated clips and you have to click when you see a hazard.

my dad shouted at me when i failed it the second time and i cried

We've got those tests here too, but before you can be subject to it you *HAVE* to take a class, which is 10 hours of classroom.

Once you've done that, taken and passed the test you get a restricted license which allows you to do the actual driving in driving school, and once that's done you've got like 10 months of not being able to drive alone until being able to take the final driving exam and getting your full license.

The socialist heaven of Quebec, Canada.

But as someone who's gone through that process once for his car license and through another similar but longer and more complicated version for his motorcycle license, and aced everything everytime, I'm acutely aware that driving isn't a right but a privilege, and that not everyone has the capabilities to be behind a wheel. I'm sorry for OP, but the theoretical test is usually the absolute easiest thing, and is usually at a "Do you even know what you are doing!?" level of difficulty and is there to weed out people who should absolutely not be operating a motor vehicle.

Half the questions on those tests are just dumb shit that no one who drives needs to know. I can drive a car just fine. The truth is I'm just shite at any sort of test or studying. Call it autism or whatever but I'm just no good at it. I never have been. I coasted through school just achieving the bare minimum. Can you get 43 questions about things vaguely related to driving right? Good, you can drive. You can be a normal human being with friends and opportunities. You can only get 42 right? Tough shit you can't drive. It's asinine.

>I can drive a car just fine

But you can't answer questions about how to do it safely?

Any body can drive a car, a shockingly low number of people, even amongst the licensed, can do it well and safely.

I'm sorry for your predicament, but license tests are already to easy, that shit should be harder because too many inept idiots can make it through.

This. Over 35,000 people were killed by car accidents in the USA in 2015. 11,000 were killed by firearm homicide in 2014. Think about that for a minute. Mental ineptitude kills more people than deliberate homicide. We need harder license tests, and required retesting to renew.

Before someone brings up that that would be expansion of government power - I also think that things like this should be moved to a non-government regulating body, along with everything else, after the state is abolished. But that's not happening any time soon, if ever, so the DMV will have to do.

Not to mention the countless, innocent, valuable (in more ways than one) cars that are destroyed as a result of poor driving skills. That angers me almost as much as people getting killed.

I feel sorry for you burgers. Hardly any bends on your roads. Must be terribly boring driving over there unless you hit the canyons.

Here in Yurop the retards weed themselves out by wrapping themselves around trees rather quickly.

Mountainous areas have plenty of decent windies, but a lot of times they are not maintained so there are potholes and shit everywhere. There are places though where the roads just go straight for hundreds of miles. I'm lucky to live in the Western part where there are more mountains.

Ever heard of Yuropean countryside roads?

20% of all roads in Yurop are top notch and get 80% of traffic.

80% of Yuopean roads get 20% of traffic, and about 50% of Yuropeans do not even know where to look for a crappy road.
