$450,000 for a v6
not a straight 6

To be expected of modern USDM. The industry here is fully cucked. I'm surprised it's not a hybrid, or even worse, full EV at this point.

To be fair, it is twin turbo. The GT-R also has a twin turbo V6.

Ford managed to cram a lot of horsepower into their I4 Ecoboost shit, maybe they can find a way to make that V6 go.

>V6 has comparable gas mileage to a V12
>They still called it an "Eco"boost
Holy shit how?

"The reason I moved to California the first time was to build the Cobra. I thought it was stupid to have a 1918 taxicab engine in what Europeans like to call a performance car when a little American V-8 could do the job better." ~ Carrol Shelby
Why didn't you listen to Carrol Shelby, the guy who helped make the first Ford GT work?
Actually how do you fuck something up this hard? A couple of turbos don't make up for the lack of two cylinders and a couple hundred Cubic Inches. Will be pretty great when Chevy eventually gets around to releasing what Ford should be Though I wish they'd kept it as a sleeper ute

Also, they kept hyping up the V6 as compact, but with the turbos it's pretty much as wide as a 90 degree V DOHC, and with the piping it's probably as long as a V8, negating any size advantage.
EcoBoost is a load of shit.

engineerfag here.
TL;DR:If you tune for V12 power with a boosted engine, then you'll get the gas mileage of a V12 as well.

This. I'm impressed that they've done as well with the twin turbo 3.5L as they have in the F150, but everything else is a fail. Drove an F150 with one for a week and a half and while it moved like stink, it guzzled gas like a nigger hits grape drank after some spicy KFC

Can we blame the EPA? If they didn't do it can I blame them anyway?

There's always something to blame the EPA for. I don't think this is it though. I think Ford is just retarded.

I love them

They're good engines, but not for what's supposed to be a top-of-the-line flagship car. It'd be like putting an i4 in a Ferrari.

They're not American like a V8 is, they only beat a Inline 6 for length, which it trades for smoothness and other bonuses, no where near as sexy as a flat 6 and they're not economical like a Inline 4. They're bastards that signify compromise.
