Donald Trump will face Joe Biden within days for the first of three presidential debates, and some of the president’s supporters are already bracing for a humiliating loss.

White House allies, Republican donors and some of Trump’s closest advisers worry that a recent, frenzied push by his top lieutenants to portray Biden as a seasoned debater — with the goal of raising expectations for the Democratic presidential nominee — is too late and too disingenuous to have an impact when the two meet on the debate stage next Tuesday.

Even though the Democrats will probably give Biden the answers to the questions on the teleprompters, Trump will find a way to get under his skin, and I expect Biden to yell at Trump and perhaps go after him physically. BIDEN is UNSTABLE.

The Senate Homeland Security and Finance Committees on Wednesday released an interim report on their monthslong joint investigation into Hunter Biden’s role on the board of Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings and his alleged “extensive and complex financial transactions.”

Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson, R-Wis., and Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said their investigation has “faced many obstacles” from Democrats on their committees and that executive agencies “failed to comply with document requests.”

The chairmen added that “there remains much work to be done” in their probe. Hunter Biden is the son of the Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. His work background played a starring role in the Trump impeachment efforts earlier this year. He and his father have denied any wrongdoing related to his work.

>>The 87-page report stated that Obama administration officials “knew” that Hunter Biden’s position on the board of Burisma was “problematic” and that it interfered “in the efficient execution of policy with respect to Ukraine.”

>>“This investigation has illustrated the extent to which officials within the Obama administration ignored the glaring warning signs when the vice president’s son joined the board of a company owned by a corrupt Ukrainian oligarch,” the report’s executive summary stated.

Hunter Biden joined Burisma in April 2014 and, at the time, reportedly connected the firm with consulting form Blue Star Strategies to help the natural gas company fight corruption charges in Ukraine. During the time Biden was on the board the company’s board, then-Vice President Joe Biden was running U.S.-Ukraine relations and policy for the Obama administration.

Despite President Trump's taunts of Joe Biden for not releasing a list of potential Supreme Court nominees, Senate Democrats say their party's presidential nominee is better off holding back.

Trump in 2016 pioneered the practice of releasing a list of prospective Supreme Court nominees in advance, which he and his advisers credit with winning over swaths of conservative voters for whom the judiciary is a top issue. His two Supreme Court nominees to date, Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, were both on versions of Trump's list during the campaign and then once he reached the White House.

The Trump administration is taking a similar approach in finding a replacement for the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a liberal icon who died on Sept. 18. Trump is set to announce his pick on Saturday, and top contenders include jurists he's mentioned publicly, including a pair of federal appeals court judges, Amy Coney Barrett and Barbara Lagoa.

Biden has demurred from providing a list of potential Supreme Court nominees. The former Senate Judiciary Committee chairman, who oversaw several Supreme Court confirmation hearings during his 1987-95 tenure heading the panel, says the rejection of nomination norms could politicize the court and subject those on the list to unnecessary attacks.

That's drawn scorn from Trump.

"I'm asking Sleepy Joe Biden to give me a list, and he doesn't want to do it. You know why? Because he can only put super radical leftist judges or people that would destroy your country,” Trump said at a Moon Township, Pennsylvania, campaign rally on Tuesday.

Biden's allies in the Senate are shrugging off Trump's attacks on the issue and backing their candidate.

A bail fund promoted by Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris helped bail out of jail six men accused of domestic violence between June and August, court documents obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation show.

Two of the men face felony charges for allegedly strangling women in their own homes, and another stands accused of beating his girlfriend upwards of six times with a closed fist, records show. All but one of the individuals had been convicted of prior domestic violence-related charges when the Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF) helped bail them out of jail, according to court records.

Harris, a California senator, encouraged her supporters to donate to the MFF in June. The fundraising link she posted to Twitter sports her branding and was still accepting donations as of Tuesday.

Harris told her followers that contributions to the fund would “help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota” against the police-custody death of George Floyd.

However, the MFF revealed on Sept. 4 that only about six percent of the money it had spent since Floyd’s death had gone to help bail out of jail people facing protest-related charges.

The DCNF previously reported that in the months since Harris promoted the MFF, the fund has helped post bail for people accused of violent crimes, including Timothy Wayne Columbus, who faces up to 30 years in prison for allegedly sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl, according to court records.

In the end, Arizona’s outcome is going to come down to one place: Phoenix’s Maricopa County.

By Election Day, the Phoenix media market alone is expected to be inundated with tens of millions of dollars in presidential campaign ads. Democratic nominee Joe Biden has more than $17 million currently reserved on the airwaves between now and Nov. 3, and President Donald Trump’s campaign has more than $6 million reserved in the state, according to tracker Medium Buying.

“While it might sound like an excuse, the unfortunate reality is that there is a very limited pool of black talent to recruit from,” Scharf said in the memo, seen by Reuters.

Scharf spent more time listening than speaking during the previously unreported 90-minute call which he initiated. His comments about Black talent rubbed some attendees the wrong way, according to the two employees,

Belarus’s under-fire autocrat Alexander Lukashenko has secretly inaugurated himself as president in a ceremony at his palace in Minsk.

The 26-year ruler declared an 80 per cent landslide victory in 9 August elections — claims that led to weeks of protest and a witheringly violent response from the state.

With a two month legal deadline on the inauguration, Mr Lukashenko had until 9 October to officially register his “victory.”

China on Tuesday lashed out at the passage of a bill by the U.S. House of Representatives that threatens sanctions over the alleged use of forced labor in China’s Xinjiang region, calling the accusation a lie.

Foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said the bill “maliciously slandered the human rights situation in Xinjiang” and sought to curb development and progress in the region while stirring up ethnic divisions and interfering in China’s internal affairs.

“The so-called problem of forced labor is totally a lie fabricated by some organizations and personnel in the United States and the West,” Wang told reporters at a daily briefing.

The House voted 406-3 to declare that any goods produced in Xinjiang are presumptively made with the forced labor of detained Uighurs and other ethnic minorities, and therefore banned from being imported to the U.S.

The study also compares the situation to what has been documented among ethnic Uighurs in the Xinjiang region.

Chinese authorities have not yet commented on the findings.

The push to retrain rural workers is closely linked to President Xi Jinping's vow to eliminate poverty in China this year.

There's only one principle at work as Republicans here get ready to nominate and confirm a new justice to the Supreme Court: power.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., made that clear when he amended the logic he used in 2016 to justify ignoring the appointment of Merrick Garland, who was President Barack Obama's last pick for the Supreme Court. Back then, McConnell said the Senate shouldn't vote on a Supreme Court justice in an election year.

President Trump on Tuesday said he had expanded a ban on racial sensitivity training to federal contractors.

His administration had instructed federal agencies to end such training earlier this month.

Trump said on Twitter on Tuesday that he had expanded the ban on "efforts to indoctrinate government employees with divisive and harmful sex and race-based ideologies" to contractors doing business with the federal government and those receiving grant funds.

"Americans should be taught to take PRIDE in our Great Country, and if you don't there's nothing in it for you!

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., fired back at President Trump on Tuesday night after he told a rally crowd she was lecturing Republicans on how to run the country and referenced her native Somalia.

“She’s telling us how to run our country,” Trump told supporters in Moon Township, Pa., near Pittsburgh, after claiming Omar was one of the reasons he believes he’ll win Minnesota in November's election.

“How did you do where you came from? How was your country doing?” the president mused of Omar, who emigrated to the U.S. from Somalia as a child refugee.

“Firstly, this is my country & I am a member of the House that impeached you,” Omar snapped back at the president later, in a retweet of his comments. “Secondly, I fled civil war when I was 8. An 8-year-old doesn’t run a country even though you run our country like one.”

For nearly three years, QAnon followers have been feverishly deciphering thousands of cryptic clues and predictions posted online by the shadowy persona of "Q" at the center of a metastasizing movement that experts say is the first far-right extremist conspiracy theory in the modern era to penetrate mainstream American culture and Washington politics.

Yet, a consensus of leading researchers and critics who study and debunk QAnon disinformation told ABC News that a key to identifying "Q" has been hiding in plain sight for years on a pig farm south of Manila in the Philippines at least until recently.

Police also said barriers may be staged around downtown Louisville in preparation of the announcement. The attorney general has not provided a timetable for that announcement.
