I really don't mind if we moved elsewhere, I don't trust Jim; board and /tech/ are the only ones I come back to 8ch for. It was a nice home when we left 4chan, but the landlord has changed, and I'd like to move on. I don't contribute shit to the board though, so who cares what I think

To be serious, I can sympathize with the social anxiety that many men feel these days, but I don't see the reason to put actual women down. Not because it will hurt their feelings, but because it would cement a stigma that monster girl enthusiasts are just raging incels with sour grapes syndrome. I will take /monster/'s deviancy any day over being attacked by the regressive left. I believe that enthusiasts should make sure not to let their fantasies be tainted by gender issues. There's already too much identity politics in entertainment, so it's best to keep things pure by ignoring it. The root of monster girls is exotic love, personality, and beauty; all in the form of something that the mundane cannot provide.

I figured out why posting new threads is broken now.
There's a verification field that's required for making new threads. This appears to have once been a "you have to solve a captcha to make a new thread" thing. It's not functional now, and this is creating an error when you try to make a new thread here.
This isn't a problem on every other board, because every BO except Aux has it disabled.

People stopped going to endchan after they threw in with Cripplekike and the Altchan federation. Basically they said "we want 8chan to never come up ever," this pissed everyone off, and they went to smuglo.li which basically said "this is a bunker, no really."
Some people are suspicious of Jim, so they don't want people to come back here and would rather stay on the bunker. This is why you'll see Aux wanting to keep everyone on there, but he's also moderating this place because he recognizes people are going to post here anyway.
Everything's sort of up in the air right now.

That's how it was initially, true. But the site owner has given /monster/ permission to stay permanently. So I don't expect people to come back here at all. Mostly, only those who missed the initial exodus are coming back. 8kun is nothing but a secondary bunker to us now.

They are, indeed. You know there is absolutely nothing stopping us from posting on both places. But we haven't just been treating smugloli as a bunker. It has become a home. A stable comfortable home, where we are welcome. The writefags, drawfags, CYOA threads, etc, are operating at full steam. Why the hell would we want to leave that for the instability of 8kun? Simply getting most people to smugloli was a pain in itself. I hated to see 8ch go, but the climate is different now. There is no telling how long 8kun will last.

I mean, we held off for around a month, in hopes that 8ch would come back. But it never did. So we pushed on without it, to regain some sense of normalcy. And that has grown into quite a comfortable place. Almost every CYOA story here has been continued there, and so on.

Pissing off our enemies is a great reason to do things.
A better reason is that there was a good amount of crossboarding and migrating back makes that happen more. We'll grow in size if we have a reasonable presence here, that's not exactly true if everyone stays over at smuglo.li.

Yeah, basically. A lot of the CYOAs are being continued over there, so a lot of people are staying there for the time being.
Getting people to move back here is going to be a relatively slow process, and probably the only people who are going to come back are those who liked something other than /monster/ as well.
There's no reason to come here unless there's something else you like on 8kun (like /hgg/ or something).

What I find annoying is the paranoidfags, shills, and literal criminals screeching about "Muh Honeypot" soured my mood to use smug.
The fed doesn't have a vested interest in killing anonymous imageboards because they have bigger fish to fry, it just so happens that their eye turns on them every now and then for the sake of information (even if a lot of it is noise).
Silicon valley and big tech, however, DO have a vested interest in killing 8ch/k:
>The users are actively avoiding the dragnet data collection that is present on their platforms.
>Advertiser bucks are not going into their pockets from all this non-exposure, and neither is the dragnet-data blackmail money.
>Imageboard users seek the elimination of anti-consumer and anti-freedom companies, which basically compromises 90% of silicon valley.
and most important of all
>The mentally ill fuckwads in charge don't get the narcissist-feel-good of power and authority when people don't use their platform.
Bonegoblin, the sjw hipsters and butthurt lefties are just useful idiots. Even the ones thinking they're pulling "black ops" on 8ch/k.

>paranoidfags, shills, and literal criminals screeching about "Muh Honeypot" soured my mood to use smug
If you're talking about some jackasses ranting in meta threads, those are just the containment threads for shitposting. I usually don't even bother reading those types of threads. They are not what /monster/ is really about. I've been checking back here every few days out of curiosity, though. Just to see how things pans out.
Unless there is an orchestrated effort by Aux to formally corral everyone back over here, I see no reason to return here. Trying to bleed a few people is going to benefit no one. Splitting the user base, which is already quite small, is going to benefit no one. It really needs to be one way or the other. Moving just to spite cripplekike is not sufficient when smugloli is a perfectly fine home.
One last note. There is nothing to stop anyone from visiting multiple sites. They need not be consolidated in one place like 8kun.

That's one of the VERY FEW things you can do to get your BO status revoked, and always has been. If that happened, someone other than Aux would pick up moderation - for better or worse.
>Unless there is an orchestrated effort by Aux to formally corral everyone back over here, I see no reason to return here.
Aux won't do this and has said as much. However…
>Splitting the user base, which is already quite small, is going to benefit no one. It really needs to be one way or the other.
This is my opinion on the matter, but the reality is that the userbase is being split - there were a lot of people who crossboarded, and the ones who crossboard are going to come here and the ones who don't are going to fight to stay on smugloli.
>Moving just to spite cripplekike is not sufficient when smugloli is a perfectly fine home.
It's a great reason, but the best reason is crossboarding. That's why people liked the webring - it facilitated crossboarding. That's why people want to come back to 8kun when it starts reasonably working.
>One last note. There is nothing to stop anyone from visiting multiple sites. They need not be consolidated in one place like 8kun.
This conflicts with your previous concern of splitting the userbase.
>>406423
>I don't mind going to both, with 8kun for spite, as spite is a great motivator, and smug for the stability.
I'd like /monster/ to maintain a top-25 position on 8kun. I feel like using smugloli exclusively is a great way to retreat from the sort of cultural pull we have here - /monster/ is one of the things that makes 8kun what it is, and we've always been a major player here. There's a sort of duality between "desiring cultural dominance" and "desiring isolationism from normalfags," and I very much prefer monstergirls to be plastered everywhere.
I am going to keep posting to 8kun's /monster/ for that reason. Even if it's just a few things every now and then, I don't want to retreat.

There is pervasive friendless niggerobot faggot posting found on all websites, those sort of posters get some form of moral indignation because something doesn't fit their wolrdviews or content consumption patterns and eventually drive out creativity because they are niggers that want to destroy rather than create. And everyone has to suffer like them. I say to hell with these sort of jaded social media dregfags. Now is the time for creativity since this site shed so much of its cancer killing reddit fags.

When 8kun first came up, /a/ nuked their board so everyone would move smoothly to the webring temporarily. They didn't do this by deleting threads directly, so meidos pretend they didn't nuke the board. They nuked it by changing the board settings to only allow 1 page, auto-deleting about 90% of the threads on the board, a clear violation of BO rule 4. They also linked the bunker in the blotter at the top of every thread, clearly violating BO rule 6, but that rule is stupid and redundant anyways. It was only just now that Mark noticed the BO hadn't logged in for over two months and rightfully had the board transferred to the BO of /animu/. The only thing 8kun administration can possibly be faulted for is not giving proper warning like they did with kampfy, but they are not obligated to anyways. Then head meido and some other meidos went on /a/, /hgg/, and /animu/ to spread lies and half truths about the whole situation cause they were asshurt, despite not planning on migrating back to 8kun anyways. The list of meido crimes include:
>Lying about not linking to the bunker
>Lying about the process of BO removal and transferal being ignored when no such process has ever existed
>Lying about the reason for BO removal being the deletion of spam by a vol two weeks ago
>Being giant hypocrites who ignored the rules and complained when they were banned
And possibly lying about volunteer logins counting towards the BO logins needed to not lose a board due to neglect.

You don't need to. See above. Though /monster/ doesn't make threads that fast anyways, so it might be a good idea simply to prevent sliding.

it still flags you if you delete everything, the same problems happened during intl's raids against /tg/. All im saying that this is just creating endless drama and its redundant too, because animu should of been its own thing instead of doing the stupid 7chan mistake, now they have what they want. They have two things, either complete freedom from the past or just a path of endless cancer because of being fag enabled by the admins.

Also whats the point of having a claims system when an board owner has more right to a board than the average anon.

>it still flags you if you delete everything
And yet no one claimed /a/ in the past two weeks until just now, and they didn't get it through regular board claims. I don't believe you.
>>406570
The claims system is only for boards lost due to a lack of logins. Boards lost because the BO violating the BO rules are dealt with at the site's discretion. But I agree. Boards lost because of rule violations should go up for public claims. Handing a board directly to another BO should only be a last resort if the regular claims system results in the board repeatedly getting a rule violating BO in a short period of time.

I honestly believe people should only control one board, and not an important redundant one. /a/ should of been given to an independant party observed by admins and then left to its own devices once the mods arent found to be mallicious, and not to a board that openly tries to limit their growth by shitalking it everywhere, atleast now animu users will shut the fuck up and stop their fud shit unless they openly go where /a/ went.

yeah of course, it should of not existed. Meta should of been an innofensive thread with shitposting and news rather than a board to dump problems to.
I remember 4chans meta threads, it was always full of indignant losers screaming about /pol/, or banti posting.

I heard potato elf manga was once purged because it had a kemono character in it? Is that true? I find it hard to believe since KC and Monster Musume are allowed just fine with token kemono that is not to be focused on. Did they release a whole chapter about the kemono or did kemonofags focus on her?

Rules were changed months ago. You can post the manga as long as you don't focus on the kemono characters. On account that kemono characters in a manga are not considered fursonas.

It’s almost too painful to think about. It’s over. There was so much more to be experienced and now just looking through the posts it’s like seeing a place frozen in time. Everything just stopped. We were here and then we weren’t. I feel like it should have been different, whats left of this site isn’t worth the shit flicked off a shoe. Yet here we are, all the good is gone and what we have now is multiple dreaded reminders of why this all happened in the first place.
I miss you, /monster/. I miss you so much.

I made a board for us at the "moe" version of 8chan created when certain boards like /pol/ and /delicious/ were banned at 8kun
https://8chan.moe/monster/
At the time I couldn't find where we had moved but forgot to check 8kun so for now I'll park it as a bunker.
If you guys want a lower-traffic alternative for your niche inerested that get lost due to popular slidethreads here feel free to use though.
Captcha seems easier to solve IMO
