Sir has been with the Lamia for a long time. When he was young he probably was like Darling and didnt know how to deal with all the girls. Over time he stopped seeing the Lamia as monsters and started seeing them for what they are which is females. The Lamia stopped seeing him as a toy for them to use as they want to a man that they can respect. Originally HFY was good. The first few threads on half/tg/ ages ago were partially a reaction to humans commonly being diplomats in sci-fi, and focused more on what would make humans terrifying or powerful in the eyes of aliens instead. And there was quality writefaggotry. Slowly though, it got worse and worse, becoming more and more "humanz win bcuz human", though there were still occasional gems. Then the worst happened. Reddit got its hands on it. Hard to see it recovering from such desecration. Shame really.
Won't stop me from wargaming how humanity can win regardless of the enemy or threat.
This is all probably a matter of personal taste though, since I just like the idea of conquering an aggressively rapey monstergirl tribe/nation only for them to go full loving waifu because they were defeated in the war, and the two sides becoming a united power.
If I ever start writefagging, an idea I've had in my head was on the eve of a battle, the monstergirl side starts raping militia they captured in front of the freshly mobilized human army to weaken their morale. It works until the human commander finds out what's going on, and turns the tables by yelling at the militia, "WHAT KIND OF MEN ARE YOU? RAPE THEM BACK!"

If they're forced to submit there's several problems with that:
You end up with MG's and man having an antagonistic relationship at best. Other scenarios? They rightfully come to the conclusion that humans aren't worth it and fight back. Depending on the setting and how powerful the MG's are this has the potential to end incredibly poorly. Or humans only make a small portion of the population submit, the rest of the free girls find out …. and come to a similar realization: humans are the enemy. Technically all it takes for MG's to procreate is men, so if they decided to abduct some breeding studs and treat them like livestock they can still survive as a species. Not to mention the fact that it's incredibly edgy to demand complete submission like this.
Yes there's things that can be implied with MGE, yes these things are incredibly dark, but at the end of the day this is a magical realm dedicated to monogamous pornography minus the haremfag stuff, but /monster/ gets the point with villains that are Saturday morning cartoon tier.

First, yes, things may very well be bad - for about a generation. Every slave taken would be female, so intermingling is inevitable, and fathers don't want to see their own living as slaves.
