the editing was bizarre for a frank hassle video. it focused on the mde style abstract stuff, which is fine for hwd but doesnt work for a hassle. it should have been contained to just the intro. the video would lead up to them doing something then cut. i got as much out of the actual video that i did out of the trailer. didnt one of the guys pour everything out of their cart? what makes this so weird is they usually only rely on this editing style to pad out the run time when they dont have anything else to show… and it can be a little funny. but it seems here there was actually funny footage to show, and it was cut for all this filler. and the little glimpses we did get were out of order. no payoff, it just ends. it felt like a ten minute trailer. its a shame because this was a really funny concept :/ but we hardly saw any of it. maybe there were no actually good reactions or any aftermath to it? then why not just release a short video?? idk
well heres to next months hassle. the two before this were great!

The editing in these new Hassle vids are so fucking atrocious. I know all of the MDE editors are [adult swim] dropouts that just throw pop culture references and 4chan memes out the wazoo and see what sticks, but I can't even understand what Frank and his goons are saying. They need a better boom mic and they need to grow some balls. All they do is fuck with middle class white dads that don't elicit any reactions. They need to pick on people their own age and then they'll get some funnier results.

it's hit or miss. some of the best hassles were edited by the same editors from the past few ones. i like ones by the commander. but it is strange how mde content can look really nice and polished, and then have the next video use meme editing (one example is editing actual ads into the final video).

When he kept following that 5'0 guy around in a best buy and threatened to rape him I laughed my ass off. I guess it depends, it's not funny when he mildly inconveniences someone then quickly disengages but when he hones in and makes them super uncomfortable it's hilarious. There's something uniquely funny about the way boomers get angry, the way they get all bewildered and act tough when they feel disrespected, even when they're clearly helpless. It's not there when he's bullying millennials or zoomers who are less socially experienced and tend to walk away without staking their pride.
