There is no way Sam Hyde wrote Jaihoo. If you’ve seen his writing style in his emails and blog rants then you know what I’m talking about. My guess is that he hires ghost writers. Can anyone confirm this? After reading How To Bomb I could discern about four or five distinct literary voices of consistent contributors to the book, one of the less frequent contributors having a voice consistent with Sam’s. Although he credited Nick and Charls on the cover, none of the written excepts were signed by them, which made sense because it would detract from the style and flow of the book. I assumed Sam edited the final book but honestly I don’t think he has the talent or attention span for it. And now with Jaihoo he is listed as the sole author when clearly he does not have the literary chops to write like that. I wonder why he does this. Narcissistic personality disorder, inferiority complex, delusional schizoid disorder? Etc. He is a grown man and I’m done feeling sorry for him. He needs to be exposed.

After a lot of prodding on social media I finally got Sam to confess that some guy named Zachary Screw is the artist who made all the illustrations for How to Bomb and Jaihoo. Weirdly, Zachary does not have a website. I’m assuming that Sam pays Zachary well for the rights to his work. Not all artists want a lot of attention, so maybe as long as he’s getting paid he doesn’t care about being credited publicly for the work. Or maybe Sam has a secret dungeon full of schizoid slaves who churn out his content in exchange for the honor of giving Sam blow jobs. Maybe Sam takes advantage of socially inept people with low self-esteem who live in their mom’s basement and wouldn’t even know how to take credit for their work, or fear to because Sam threatens them or pays them off. Who knows.

Some of the book was actually pretty darn good. I was reading along with the audiobook playing, but once you reach around the half way part it becomes clear Sam is reading from a different version of the script as there are a lot of inserts he's reading that are not on the page (could be part of the "joke") and by the end of it you're trying to follow along and left, sometimes for around 10 minutes, as Sam is reading things that aren't in the version of the book I am reading.

Ever since the beginning of MDE Sam has been working with a bunch of people on every project, it's never been just him, so apart from the rumors or disputes that Sam doesn't credit or pay certain people what they are owed, I don't see it as much of an issue. Anyway I thought this book was much better than the last one, How To Bomb The U.S. Govt. The last one had decent parts but it was just a bit too messy to really sit through. That is true to a certain extent with this one but it just generally seems a lot more focused.

Even more traditional (ie unfunny) comedians observe people and elements in their day to day lives and use that for their shitty stand up routines, I don't see why Sam taking influence from detracts from his work.
Just to be clear, although I do enjoy a lot of his work, I am far from a fanboy and I can be highly critical of him at times. Not everything he does is gold, they can't all be zingers. Are people really doing shit like this now? I mean on the same level, actually (subjectively and debatably) good and or funny. To be honest I've never been that much into podcasts, although I'll put on Sam's as background noise, I'm really much more into the comedy sketches and skits and the writing, edting and music that goes into that, or Sam doing stuff in public.
I somewhat enjoyed Frank Hassle's stuff even though is retarded as fuck. I've been rewatching WKUK and Wonder Showzen because I'm bored, used to like them and Sam said those shows were an influence.
I guess some of the stuff with Weckingball seemed quite promising if they go to public locations and fuck with people, or the video of them boxing at Sam's was amusing. The gym sketch with Weckingball was okay I guess, so we'll see.

The only exposure I've had to Gavin is when Sam was being interviewed by him. I always enjoy when Sam is being interviewed, but I didn't get a very good impression of Gavin. Maybe I was too quick to judge, don't really know anything about the guy or his content. I pretty much live under a rock.
As far as the whole podcast/self help thing goes he's mentioned Stefan Molyneux a few times. Hard to tell if he's being serious or not but I checked out a few of his videos. I liked a few here and there but overall the channel just wasn't really for me.
I just want Sam to make more Happy World Daddy type shit, or going out in public and fucking with people, destroying cars, sick beats, dope graphic design and video editing stuff, etc etc etc.
But if Sam wants to drop another 2/3 hour podcast of him talking to Bicflame, shit, I'll probably listen to it while I do other things. Maybe one or two lines or topics of conversation will stick with me and that's good enough I suppose.
