In one of his old Q&A's his advice to people who wanted to get into a creative field was that they shouldn't do anything in which they weren't already in the top 1%. Sam's not even a zoomer so what makes him think he's capable of making good zoomer comedy? He consistently and cleverly hit the nail on the head when his target audience was HIS OWN GENERATION but when he tries to parody/ironize the problems faced by people 10+ years younger than him it's just fucking awkward and jarring. The dumb post 2016 nupol kiddies who prop him up solely for meme clout are inadvertently the ones who've hurt his creative capacity the most, I think. Sam's old aggressive, self critical personal improvement ideology is obviously long dead, and letting a psychologically ruined depressive survive by just picking low hanging fruit the rest of his life is way more destructive than forcing him to get out of the rut by introducing hardship to his life/finances.

You have to understand that Sam is somekind of sociopath/psychopath so he's utterly incapable of being truly sincere. The only "advice" he feels comfortable to give publicly is based on reflections from his own zoomer-age experiences, because those chapters of his life are largely closed, and talking about such things and bullshitting cant hurt his bottom line. It's "safe".

Notice for example how his Hydewars shit never, ever goes into something he would be actively doing in present day, such as self marketing/shilling himself online/building his brand, because if he went into that stuff the illusion of the friend-simulator he set up with his paypigs would be shattered and they'd revolt if they saw how he actually viewed them. And if he did give really practical, non bullshit advice to creative people in his shoes then that would help his competition (in his mind anyway), because he knows people out there are trying to copycat him.

There is also the whole facet of his situation that he couldn't ever generalize into something useful for others, like his once-in-a-lifetime luck with cryptocurrency. That would be like suggesting that you need to win the lotto to be successful. So he dances around that topic because if he did talk straight about that aspect of his success people would also realize how he's full of bullshit (or get pissed off if he seriously says to buy some cryptocurrency and people lose money as a result).

Maybe Sam is a little sociopathic but that's not the bottom line for me. It just hurts to know that we'll never have anything as sharp and to the point as jaihoo, how I survived high school, college cunts or even many of the vertical videos ever again.
