Haha jesus christ. Imagine how bad things are going if THIS was good enough in his mind to release as a teaser. This is exactly what I predicted 3 years ago when he started talking about making a video game. He had all these insane ambitions, and big design doc that had "my first video game" written all over it. I knew he was in for a rude fucking awakening once he started implementing it. And sure enough, after 3 years we get this. I like how he makes it a point in the tweet AND the video to state that "temporary/placeholder assets" are being used. That's basically a euphemism for "my artists made final assets but they were so shitty that I'm calling them placeholder now". I browse Steam every day to look at new releases, and without the video of Sam this is indistinguishable from some shitty Unity game using free assets from the asset store. The baseline 1st person shooter camera script, some random 3D models thrown together in a scene with colliders put on them. But good on him for realizing the only way he's going to sell a video game is to essentially make it a glorified bathroom vertical vid.

BTW he showed videos of working with UE4 and this teaser is made with unity.

His mode of operation has always been getting other people to do 98% of the work while he invests his personality/charisma/presence into it.
