Far as I understand, Rome was pretty neato, a certain tribe was doing what they do best, but people wouldn't put up with their shit. So, commence some hand rubbing and out comes a hip new religion. Based on traditions and customs of the past, steeped in jewish tradition and thought.

"Check out this hip new religion fellow goyim, it will even help you repel those satanic, err evil Jews!"

Then Rome begins to crack and crumble.

Abrahamic religion is completely opposed to natural order and nature, like believing nature has to be saved, when instead we have to learn to live within nature

Why not go back to the traditions that Christianity was based on, without the Jewish additions?

Are you a gook or something??? If you live in western civ and know this little about Christianity's impact on the west beyond Rome I'd implore you to do more research.

Also, you can know a tree by its fruits. Look at the products of people who actually believe in Christ vs. fake "judeo"-Christians, occultists, atheists, hindus, etc. and it's clear that one has something the others lack.

You literally have not read the New Testament and know nothing about Christianity if you think that the Jews wanted Christianity to be spread. It's the antithesis of everything they hold dear and the teachings of Jesus are directly opposed to the ways they live their lives both then and now. Just open it up and check it out instead of reading shitty wiki articles.

The life, death, and resurrection of Christ is the most impressive, incredible, and awe-inspiring series of events that have ever occurred and it was a plan that required God's omniscience to craft.

Jesus had to be born unto the Jews precisely because they were the only group of people who would willingly sacrifice the Son of God (which was necessary in order to reconcile man with God), because they didn't like the fact that he wasn't going to help them gain material power and wealth.

Seriously man, read it sometime instead of watching Jon Stewart or w/e the modern day Christian-bashing disinfo campaign is these days.

Happy to answer any questions.

My post addressed most of those points.

Humanity and civilization did some impressive stuff under Christianity/Abrahamic religion. However Rome is one of many examples that Abrahamic religion is not required for a great big ass civilization.

No I have not thoroughly read the new testament, only the old testament a few times.

Pre-christ tribes and religions were too based and redpilled and good at keeping Jewry down, like the immune system keeps an infectious disease in remission.

Im aware Big Christianity is pozzed and zogged as much as anything else. However, not mentioning le dead kike on a stick, it just seems like it was created to subvert strok "pagan" Rome that btfo the jewish temples and golems. Sure intrinsically Jews wouldn't want Christianity spreading, but for them its much better than the alternative that was brewing.

i'm back. nice trips.

(1/2)

this is the most complicated topic in the world imo. i could never do it justice in a few posts so feel free to post a way i can contact you if you want to discuss further. i'm going to sound vague/general in this post because i can't recap years of study within a few minutes

just going to hastily respond to this greentext style

>>28654

>Where did you form your opinions of Christianity?

the catholic church, my own research over the last six years, everything i see/read/watch

>Rome was pretty neato

the romans were undoubtedly impressive– their accomplishments and those of the greeks before them (and of all civilizations) were all part of God's plan in setting the stage for christianity's later emergence

>a certain tribe was doing what they do best, but people wouldn't put up with their shit.

jews existed long before ancient rome and, despite outbursts of wars, were actually generally tolerated in late rome. jews were given a special class label because of their faith's roots in antiquity… it was sort of taken for granted they'd always be around. certain rulers didn't abide by that standard though. if you want to know what jews thought of christians in rome, i'd start with the book of martyrs.

>So, commence some hand rubbing and out comes a hip new religion.

remember that part of the new testament where jews (of a specific locale) literally begged and pressured pilate until he threw up his hands and ordered Christ's crucifixion?

you think jews historically have always encouraged/appreciated christianity the same way neocons today appreciate judaism? i think you're ben shapiro undercover tbh

i don't hate jews or think they're all condemned to hell btw– just talking about history here. everyone deserves dignity and no human should think themselves worthy of judging the fate of another's soul.

>Based on traditions and customs of the past, steeped in jewish tradition and thought.

the fascinating thing about christianity is that it absorbed a mixture of ancient influences from its early days (including jewish and classical). it was able to spread across europe (and then the world) and become dominant/survive because the faith was adaptable to various pagan cultures of NW europe as well.

why could christianity do this without becoming fundamentally corrupted? because its core, defining elements remained original and exist as the only whole, sensible, true doctrine that's ever blessed humanity. the church's more superficial features vary depending on geography/chronology/etc. hugo rahner is a great source on this and his work really helped define my own views on the issue, check him out. i edited some of his wiki page though so if you look him up you might be reading me.

a major (possibly the most major) point of difference between christianity and judaism is their emphasis on law-based religious life (stems from peter vs. paul, paul won out)

also look up christian typology– the old testament is essential to christianity because the old t. forecasts everything in the new test. it's incredible. the new test amends/completes the old (adam/Christ, eve/mary, many more… 3-4 years ago i wrote an essay on biblical typology in northern renaissance artistic depictions of the genesis). rahner (which i read more recently) also discusses the parallels btwn classical philosophy and christianity and how the latter made manifest/perfected much of the former

>Then Rome begins to crack and crumble [because of christianity]

this would require another incomplete mini-essay, just stop reading gibbon lmao

i could greentext and respond to every remaining clause in your post but i think i gave you a good start… entire books have been continually written throughout the centuries on almost every one

just remember that christians in rome began as a collection small, despised group of "strange jews" (in the eyes of the romans), underwent sporadic, brutal persecutions for a few centuries (literally left to be eaten by lions for the entertainment of cheering, jeering masses).

romans were bent on enforcing their religious practices (rituals dedicated to their gods) because they were thought vital to the stability and success of their empire. a lot of martyrs died at the hand of exasperated officials (as jesus did before them) because they refused to perform simple outward acts of idol worship that would contradict christian tenets. oftentimes martyrs were told they didn't have to demonstrate a true dedication to roman paganism or relinquish chrisitanity internally, they just had to go to the damn temple for the sake of it. martyrs imitated jesus in their deaths and doing so gained converts/momentum for their faith because the spectacle reflected so poorly on those who persecuted them. certain church fathers even had to write tracts reminding christians to not martyr themselves too willingly (or view martyrdom as a sure fast-track to paradise).

christianity rose from the dirt and then dominated the world.

christianity freed the genius of europe

Nah, but it didn't though. Like I said, if you look at the fruits of people that are seeking to be more like Christ vs. others there is a clear difference. Physical decadence and success mean nothing if someone's completely morally bankrupt. Western civ under Christianity had both prosperity and a real, observable difference in moral fiber, which we have clearly lost as one can see literally everywhere in every western country today.

>No I have not thoroughly read the new testament, only the old testament a few times.

Okay, I would suggest you at least read the Gospels for yourself before claiming that Christianity is a scam. See for yourself if it's all just a subversion.

>Pre-christ tribes and religions were too based and redpilled and good at keeping Jewry down, like the immune system keeps an infectious disease in remission.

So was Christianity prior to the 20th century.

>Sure intrinsically Jews wouldn't want Christianity spreading, but for them its much better than the alternative that was brewing.

This is one of those ideas that gets thrown around a lot, but imo it's really easy to ignore how different information and ideas spread in those days vs. today. Also it's completely ignoring the huge rift between Christianity and the Jews that start quite literally at the religion's beginning. Christianity really begins because the Jews wanted to kill the Son of God. The apostle Paul was murdering Christians before his conversion. Christianity wasn't even legalized in Rome until 313. So that's over 200 years of martyrdom from both Jews and Romans. It's actually about 50x more believable that Christianity survived by the grace of rather than your take lmao. >>28680 went into more detail (really good post tbh)

christians who accept the old testament are kike cucked. christians who reject the old testament are not. it's as simple as that.

the new testament talks about christ's lessons and history. the old testament talks about an immoral god and his fucked up, inbred "people".

if you can't make this distinction and accept where the kike line is, then you're a retard.

Yeah, I agree. The OT should only serve as a background for why Jesus came to the Jews.

Any other group of people at that time would have recognized and venerated the Son of God for what is He is and worshiped Him immediately. Only the Jews would see the actual Son of God and say, "nah… don't want any of that" and then save a murderer from crucifixion instead. It's really mind blowing. But it makes perfect sense, because the whole reason Christ came down was to sacrifice Himself in order to repair man's connection with God.

Imo the best stance to take is a perennial view of pre-Christ religion. Everybody had a vague fragment of truth but was missing the full story and then Christ came down and gave everyone firsthand truth. Sort of like the idea presented in the book Christ the Eternal Tao. Anyone who calls themselves Judeo-Christian is literally a brainlet and hasn't actually read the NT for themselves.

Traditionalist Christianity is a psyop functioning as an energy sink for right-wingers. Deeply illiberal Catholics/Prots face little to no social sanction for their views, in fact they're useful because they deny the outgroup/ingroup distinction is based on biology and shift it into the ideological (belivers/heretics/unbelievers).

>traditionalist Catholicism is a psyop

>but it’s tolerated because post Vatican 2 churches are softer on the Jews

SPLC used to have SSPX listed on their hate map but I checked again a few months ago and it was missing

Most practicing Catholics don’t force themselves in one of two camps… most are vaguely critical of Vat 2 and only a very small % attend Latin mass. Yeah of course Catholics are going to be more opposed to modernism on average because there’s nothing godly about subverting the natural order in the most obscene ways (abortion, trans kids).

If Traditional Catholicism (or I guess we’re talking about Twitter Traditional Catholicism) is a psyop then it’s a pretty shitty one because it’s more of a niche internet culture thing than a real world force

Let me elaborate for a bit:

Most political movements are down-down impositions meant to channel and/or trap existing political energies in certain directions (think postwar American conservatism and the role played by Buckley). That is why the background and pedigree of Vermuele are interesting, as is the fact that he converted in 2016.

PsyOP may be a strong word but I suspect something like Illiberal Christianity (IC) is being slowly established (as a hedged bet) as a alternative to the current dominating paradigm of mainline pseudolibertarian neoconism (which will cease to be viable a second after the boomers die en masse).

To reiterate my points, despite being outwardly incompatible with $CURRENTYEAR social beliefs, IC has less conflict potential because it is explicitly antiracist and non-threathening to Jewish soft power. The Catholic Chrurch (and most other denominations) have completly ceased to evangelize the Jews and instead peddles Holocaust theology.

Compare this to say, Richard Spencer. Most of his beliefs both on the social and political fronts (homosexuality, imperialism/intervention, economics etc) are not that different to what the Washington policy wonk set believes.

What kills his chance of mainstream appeal is his openly articulated white "suprematism" and the fact that his ingroup/outgroup distinction runs along biological lines.

>because it’s more of a niche internet culture thing than a real world force

Of course these Twitter spergs are third order fallout from much larger forces at work. However, from the last few years we can learn a few lessons: First what starts out as irony quickly becomes sincerity because whatever ironic intent existed gets quickly lost in translation (cf. both /pol/ and politicized SA goons). Second, even fringe internet communities can have disparate impact (cf. "fully automated gay luxury space communism" escaping into the wild after starting as a forum meme by radical tranny internet communists; journalists sincerely writing about a green cartoon frog being the next white nationalist symbol etc).
