True, but the inverse is also true. Putting more money and time and effort into something does not necessarily increase the value of the final product. It DOES necessarily increase the amount you need to earn back, but if the value isn't there, people won't and shouldn't make up the difference for you out of their own wallets. MDE has gone into the direction of high costs and low value.
I don't think Sam is a dirty moneygrubbing jew. He's someone who made a bad gamble with what to invest his time and money in, and now he's stuck with video creation and has to struggle to come up with a viable business model that will pay the bills but not alienate and piss off too many people. Unfortunately for him, he's no longer funny.
