If I put miso in while cooking fried rice, would it taste good? I had enough of soy sauce. I want something different that is natural ingredient in my fried rice. The texture of miso that I have is kind of thick though. I wonder if this could make a good alternative.

You can do that.
Make sure you don't add it too early and heat it too much. You simply need to dissolve the paste in another liquid, like oil, water or wine, to make it less thick.

The taste of onion is quite temporary anon, it doesn't solve the bitterness in fried rice. Maybe double the onions would make a difference but rather I stay conservative on it.

This is interesting, especially the white sauce gravy, but then I have to make it myself from scratch.

I'm gonna go with miso next time. Hopefully it doesn't taste too salty. Thanks anon.

Is this the cooking otaku thread? I have somewhat of a cooking hobby and I would love to occasionally post about what I'm making. Expect lots of onions.

Well, I finally found a seat, but then the guy next to me goes, "I'll have a large bowl with extra gravy!". So now I'm pissed off again. Who the fuck orders extra gravy these days? Why are you looking so goddamn proud when you say that? I was gonna ask you, are you really going to fucking eat all that gravy? I wanted to fucking interrogate you. For about a fucking hour. You know what? I think you just wanted to say "extra gravy".

It can be. I also like cooking but I'm not good so it's usually just a combination of chicken with rice/noodles and vegetables

I don't think making it finer is good idea because veggies can be overcook really fast when it's finer .Besides, I was starving and I don't have time to make it finer, so I chopped everything quick. As it turns out, the taste was quite delicious. Adding miso in fried rice really gave a mild umami taste. The taste of miso wasn't strong as like soy sauce but its was good enough for fried rice. I also love the sweet red peppers and the prawns in it. That pretty much the key ingredient to boost up appetite.

I like making meatloaf. It is easy, fairly cheap, and so fucking enjoyable.
My favorite type is simple oatmeal meatloaf. That takes a little longer to cook than breadcrumbs, but the texture is so much better and it feels far more filling.
Next time I cook it I will take a picture for you guys.

I love onions. I have some kind of green/spring onions growing in my garden, with the strawberries.
They only really pop up in spring, and their bulbs are fairly small, but gosh are they flavorful.
Chopping them up fine and boiling them down into potatoes (with their skins), then mashing all that together is fuckawesome.

Doesn't look bad. For some reason that typical restaurant style arrangement of food looks really appealing to me. By that I mean a big plate which is mostly empty, with the dish arranged in a row and some stuff like greens or sauce sprinkled around it.
