absolutely summer because it's the season when all the normals come out of their homes and make alot of noise especially chads who drive their motorcycles on a high speed because they want to impress roasties

On a side note the heat is really unbearable so I overcome it by turning on the air conditioning and wear light clothes that made of cotton because it helps with the high temperature but even so, I still can't sleep as comfortably as the winter

I envy people who live in a place where you have air conditioning, at most all we have in the UK is pedestal fans that do nothing but blow hot air back at you as air conditioners cost too much.

Of course I despise the summer. What hikki wouldn't hate summer?

Bugs come out and invade your personal space, disturbing your peace constantly, burdening you with the chore of having to hunt them down, causing pervasive anxiety about whether there might be a giant spider lurking in your sheets somewhere. I have a fear of bugs from when I was younger that has stayed with me into adulthood. The sight of an insect is almost traumatizing. And of course since I am a male I am expected to kill it myself, which causes me guilt as I do not like the idea of killing living things. But it has to be done, I cannot live with the anxiety of creeping crawling things all around me.

The heat means that I must shed my warm clothes, which serve as a comfortable barrier between my body and the outside world. Now I am exposed. I notice all the contours of my body and my pale skin. I notice how I have aged and continue to age, how there are new wrinkles, new curvatures, new shadows on my face. I can see my lumpy body getting frailer and weaker.

Speaking of my body, I get exhausted almost immediately upon exerting myself in any way, because the heat and dryness intensifies any kind of bodily exertion 10 times over. I also sweat profusely because of this. Just lying in bed is like a workout. It makes me even more anxious because now the clothes are sticking to my stomach and my back, exposing my physical form even more. I already stay indoors all hours of the day, but when the summer comes on it is absolutely without question that I do not leave my home during the day for any reason. I have pissed in bottles before because I didn't even want to walk in the hallways of my mom's house–she opens all the windows and the searing sunlight burns the floors and the walls.

And of course her behavior is representative of the behavior of the general population in summertime. Everyone must lay out in the grass, run around in the parks, scream and sing and tear their clothes off. People turn into pleasure-hungry beasts when the sun is shining, though some try to coat it with the appearance of elegance, like those snooty pretentious fucks drinking espresso in their Raybans yakking about the 'lovely weather'.

I fucking hate summer. Every time it comes around I feel apart of my sensitive soul is devoured by hatred and aggravation at this hot, bright, ruthlessly active season.

I've got almost two years of hair on my head, don't know if i'm going to make it through Summer without cutting it.

i used to live next to a frat house when i was enrolled in college many years ago and every friday, saturday, and sunday mornings they would be blasting music so loud it shook the walls. i would be awoken at 7AM every morning on the weekends by it. after so much stress and pressure at school my sleep was already suffering.

i couldn't get out of my lease because i was under contract. so i had to live this way for a year. it was an inhuman experience. i do not know how people can live like that. i was in a large apartment complex, so there must have been close to 100 people who dealt with the noise as i did. how do they do it? i don't get it. it is like living in a slum.

sometimes they would even have live bands playing, and that was truly raucous. the noise would blare out into the entire neighborhood. how it was legal i have no idea. the entire situation drove me to the brink of insanity.

and it was all during summer, yes. the worst of all the seasons by far.

Would any of you consider trading those shitty noisy apartments for a house in a cow pasture in the middle of bum fuck nowhere with the fastest internet speed available being 20 kb/s? You get snowed in all winter and won't have a wood stove but will have propane.

i have never subscribed to anti-depressant ideologies or the idea that feeling fucked is a matter of chemical quantities but living in that place truly shook me up in that it made me think, my god, the only way i could imagine tolerating this sort of life is having some kind of drugged-up existence 24hrs a day. to be in such constant, feverish, mindless activity all the time, blaring music and yelling and running around in the sun, drinking booze and smoking weed. it's like a massive Formula 1 race for a few years of their youth until they run out of steam. i rationalize it away with 'le brain chemicals' notion because i cannot conceive of such a hellish life any other way. they are animals.

I agree with most of the other hikkis, summer is the most inconvenient time of the year, it's not easy to handle the heat without an AC, there are bugs, the normalfags get noisy, etc.

But honestly, it's not that big of a deal, inside of my room there is no sustancial difference between summer and winter.

Anything but summer is fine. It's the most irritating season by far.

I can't stand bugs. It's a phobia, but I can kill the smaller ones no problem. Still, I can't relax until I have done it because they keep harassing me until then. I have actually avoided killing spiders sometimes just because I know they capture bugs, melt their organs and eat them. Kinda wish I could live somewhere that doesn't have bugs so I would never have to deal with them again. That would be great.

My biggest problem with summer is that my body "awakens" and I start to feel the need of sex more than in cold days. And that's obviously a problem because as a hikki I cannot satisfy that need.

I can't say that I haven't tried though, so at least I'm partially at peace with my integrity.

Like many here, I used to hate the Summer season quite a lot, mostly due to the heat & bugs. So many miserable days & nights of unbearably high temperatures, sweltering humidity, along with constant flies and other pests to worry about. It was damn awful. In a lot of ways it still is, but after installing central air, replacing all our old windows with new energy efficient ones, and putting moth balls in our plastic dumpster outside to kill any bugs that were attracted by it, thus preventing them from laying any eggs in there, I've found the season itself hasn't really bothered me as much as it used to. Last couple Summers have pretty much gone by without me even noticing it, as a matter of fact. I can't even remember the last time I saw a fly, or a spider in here, for instance, not that I want to jinx it by saying so.

On the flipside, I used to love Fall & Winter given how deathly still & quiet everything outside was. For the last number of years however, I find myself holding them in as much contempt as I do Spring & Summer. All of them are worthless and cause me at least small some discomfort in one way or another. In the case of Winter, I find myself a lot more bothered by the cold than I used to be. Perhaps because I lost so much weight not that long ago. I don't know. Even the gray sky, which used to make me feel calm & at ease, now fills me with as much emptiness as a disgustingly blue one does. Fall is pretty much the best of the lot, mainly because of the smell of firewood in the air and the leaves changing color. I also used to have a lot of fondness & nostalgia for Halloween, but nowadays it's just another thing lost to time and my worn out self.

Sunlight is my true nemesis, frankly, and the thing I despise the most. I'm not an albino or anything, but I've always hated it and having it cast upon even the slightest portion of my body has always made me feel slightly ill/uncomfortable. It's bright, it's annoying, it's absolutely, all encompasingly shit. I have extremely thick curtains in my room which block out a good 90% of that accursed light beaming from the sun, which, all in all, couldn't make me any happier. The most depressing time of my day by far is when I begin to see shafts of vomit inducing light start to appear along the tops and sides of my curtains. It makes me bothered beyond words can describe. I'd truly love to somehow crush the sun with my hands and blot out its sickening light forever. Strangely enough, I have no problem with artificial light. I'd love to live in Alaska or Nunavut, but even 6 months of night seems too short. Especially when it's then followed by 6 months of constant daylight. How absolutely horrifying. I'll never understand hikikomori who are able to put up with it. I'd sooner turn to ash like a vampire.

I hate summer. I don't like all the grass leering at me from outside. "look at hiki he still has to forage for food, while we just sit around and pickup tasty rays", the blades of grass whisper. Dam those organisms. While they sit and do what as I and they, their rich glowing straws are warm in the sun. They aren't running down in need of hunting.

The worst time of year has got to be my birthday. I don't want to know I'm yet another year older.

I like the heat of summer which makes time move faster.

Fall with its crappy holiday TV, or if not TV they always bring Halloween, Christmas and new college students online every fall, and two family gathering holidays in a row.
