Tried this out for a bit, intro wasn't too long despite the first lines making me fear it'd be a novel or something. Wow keyboard shortcuts, I might not even feel the need to make an autohotkey script to make dealing with UI faster or something
Navigating around the town is a mess due to only being able to move to neighboring places, just let me move anywhere whenever. Combat seems nice but I'm already sick of how slow typical tactics games are to play and this doesn't seem to do much if anything to speed it up.
Portal maps are pretty nice and breeding seems interesting but I don't feel like dealing with slow combat just to engage with them occasionally so for now decided to play something else.

Dating:

- experimental x-ray thing for those scenes (hover over pic to show x-ray version around cursor)(currently only the sylvie scene)
- can increase lewdity twice per date. Increasing lewdity lowers lust a lot
- passive lewdity based lust change is halved
CharacterCreation/Start:
- elemental affinity: choose between grass/fire/water for various starting bonuses (evolvable spirit summon, new versatile skills, specialtrait, statbonus)
- difficulty modifiers: can toggle various rules that make things harder for a flat percentage increase to difficulty.
Character/species:
- 12 new species/spirits for starting affinity (mostly creatures)
- Spirits are mostly fusion based and can be fused with any non-spirit. They have a new unique genetic trait. Fusing a character with a spirit only considers the species of the non-spirit for the result. Evolutions work similar to seedlings, but you can choose various skill/leveltype sets.
- some art changes
- lizard now also has variable bodypart sizes/clothes (all basespecies now)
Other:
- genes are generally assigned in totals, randomly spread and not separately per gene. (not only for wild characters).
- Some characters' genes now scale based on gametime (hired through events/brothel etc.)
- stat increases are no longer random. (hidden progressbar for each stat, that increases based on genes/leveltype).
- Leveltypes/levels matter more even for characters with low genes
- unique characters gain more stats/progress on levelup
- randomencounter chance scales more fluidly for everything (stealth,hivecount,distance to portal)(instead of various thresholds).
- new achievement + unlockable profession
- many things have predetermined outcomes (reloading and doing the same thing will have the same result (events,summons,fusion etc.))
- removed morale requirement for quick-fusion
Balance:
- generally levels should increase stats more on average, but less extreme for high genes (balancing stat gains etc should be easier)
- mana increases slower (more like str/mg instead of hp)
- max amount of enemies globally decreased (10+ enemies in every battle at final portal was just pure bullshit)
- base movementcost through water decreased to 15 (from 20)
- gene adapter doesn't work on mc (genes are more meaningful in character creation)(specialform/summons requirements lowered to be achievable anyway)
- busty/petite pointcost is now 0 (neither is really positive or negative)
- fused characters maxlevel/exhaustion is the average of both characters.
- seedlings (trait, not just the starting species) don't need food
- a resulting species' basevalue for bodysizes etc. has a higher weight for determining their value in fusion/hatching
- many other small adjustments to adapt to other changes
Summary/Expected Effect:
- faster pacing through higher focus on fusions/more early options
- can move on to higher hostility portals sooner
- stats feel actually based on genes/leveltype instead of being mostly random
- easier to switch species in your main team (you don't just end up with slightly different/upgraded versions of the same 2 species forever)
- more flexible/interesting start.
- the way genes are distributed onto characters gives them clearer advantages/purposes
- more control over difficulty.
- easier to come back from early mistakes/losses
Next:
- new skilltree replacing the current "C" menu with lots of more interesting things/choices
- more events/dating stuff
- story events/paths/endings
Overall, this update is decent.

Am I just fucking retarded? The unlockables.sav is supposed to be compatible with every update, but it never seems to work for me.
The gallery and starting unlockables have reset on me twice now, and there's no way I'm going through all that effort again. There's really no point in playing until the game is fully finished.

It also has some bugs. There are some cases during rituals where the actors get mixed up and based on the text, you are sticking it into yourself(could be a leftover from when the ritual only worked with the mc as reciever?)
The code also gets confused by the multitude of hands insect girls have.

I have no idea what I did, it just suddenly worked.
I had a backup copy of the old unlockables.sav before adding it to the new version. Overwrote the previous I used, which came from the same previous version, and suddenly I had everything I unlocked. Gallery, traits, species, everything. No half-assing either. I didn't do anything different at all, it just suddenly worked for once. I just don't understand, but I guess I'm satisfied now.

If sex skills play a part in it, it seems minor to me. I had a bad attractiveness roll on Speed Form midway through my first Evo playthrough and didn't know you could just transform again, and had a max of like 20% to recruit even with max lust for both parties. When I finally recruited a girl with higher attractiveness, she regularly had 90% chance to recruit under optimal conditions, even with shitty sex skills.

I always thought the best thing about this game is all the variations of the art. I've kinda enjoyed chasing them down since there're several different ways of doing it (breeding, NPC and exploration events, the dancing minigame thing, dating) rather than, say, grinding in a rape-on-loss game. The textual sex hasn't really been worth reading: the procedural stuff is too mechanical (the bugbear of all procedural textual sex of course, but particularly bad here) and a lot of the rest is sparsely written to the point of feeling like placeholder material. I get the feeling the dev's English isn't great and that they haven't given any serious effort to the written material, probably thinking it's something they can have improved later. The setting's a little bare but interesting largely due to the reasonably creative art style. The unique NPCs manage to have a surprising lot of personality considering that they're given next so little actual character development, to the point that I actually enjoyed the corruption/dating mechanics despite them being so barebones. Of course, all this is in a context where furries, centaurs, and futas are acceptable.
It wouldn't be at all surprised if this dev actually primarily wanted to create a hex-based tactical combat game, but happened to be a decent porn artist and so decided they wouldn't have a chance of attracting players without working futa dicks into it somehow. A suggestion against that idea is that the combat mechanics change so wildly from version to version, but that might be the dev just not being experienced at designing and testing a game. For a porn game where so much of the sex is written, though, I do think that the dev needs pretty soon to start working on developing a voice or get a more experienced porn writer to help out. There're actually two different ways, if I remember right, to do sex training, and neither one is very appealing due to the writing being so bland. This is coming from an anon who enjoys things like the entirely text-based era games, even though they're hardly masterpieces AND translated from a different language. Despite all my complaints I still, for I don't know what reason, enjoy this game.
