My father abused and humiliated me my entire life. Because of that, my relationships with men have been terrible :(((((. I don’t know how to behave around them. Any contact ends in mutual hatred. I tried to act normal, but it just happens on its own. Men immediately trigger a desire in me to humiliate and hurt them—well, only unsafe men do. That is, aggressive, overly sexual, and drinking men.
I’m 17. I’ve never had a romantic relationship with a guy, nor have I had sex.
Has anyone else experienced this? How can I get rid of it? How can I learn to build healthy relationships with men?? Т_е

You might think this is retarded but this is prolly a thing that will go away with experience, just try to talk to men more it may feel uncomfortable at first but push urself, it dosent have to be a lot but maybe try sayin hi to your male classmates and try haveing some male friends. Do any of your freinds have brothers or boyfriends or male cousins they have over at there house a lot? If they do then try going over more often. Remeber men are people to, dont let ur bad experiences with ur father ruin everything for you, once you are in a position you can afford it, maybe trying going to therapy but if you cant do that then try opening up to your friends about it. This is going to be a difficult thing to get over and it will probably take a some time so dont be too hard on yourself. Good luck with everything wishing u the best.
