We have been discussing the importance of action taken against the advertising of any form of blog or channel, such as discord ones.
We resulted in a radical yet needed solution: any link posted on the board meant to attract users away will be deleted and the user banned for a time based on the offence. Threads made for that purpose alone will be erased, likewise.
This is not a form of censorship, rather, a mean to preserve the board and its "bleeding" userbase (no pun intended).

Just a reminder that if you encounter any cp images being posted here before Cherry or I can get to it and remove it, you should use the Global Report function. That goes for any straight up illegal (in the US specifically) content as well. We haven't had any posted here to my knowledge but I just want to put it out there since I've noticed an uptick in borderline and straight up cp posting across multiple boards lately. If it's just pedo talk, report it to Cherry and I as that is not against global rules but will be removed by us instead. Our recent samefagging pedo was banned for his posts in multiple threads, so there's no need to keep reporting him for now.

If we're better off rebuilding on a different domain, that's to be found with more discussion. Clearly the bunker has not brought in the people we'd be wanting to reach for that.
However maybe in the future, given the benefits of the webring. The freespeech and anonymous style of imageboards fosters a different community than other female spaces, so I do hope to get things pieced together again.
Ah, thinking it over more, maybe it deserves some work being done on it.

To be honest that's just because I didn't feel like advertising it much and hoped more anons already knew of /a/ or /v/'s bunkers. That is why I am now asking if you want ownership of the bunker, since I am not sure I want to upkeep it anymore but you may need it in case you know where to advertise it to and how to get back the other femanons.

You could just create an account on anon.cafe, send me a report over the /girltalk/ board and I can just transfer ownership via the commands.
The urgency I'm putting on this thing is due the way anon.cafe signals when an owner is inactive, which is much more "in your face" than over here where you've gotta look for the claimable boards and hope that the owner doesn't log in before you get in touch with Ron.

So, Cherry, you don't see much reason to advertise until traffic across 8kun overall picks up, but perhaps spreading the word a bit in some off-site circles would be worth doing. Not too publicly, maybe in small, closed communities with majority female membership. Niche forums and the like.
And us few people already here should make a little more effort to participate in whatever threads we can. Engage in conversation. Posts-per-hour aren't that relevant on the site right now, it's mostly about unique IPs, but activity will encourage others to take part.
It'd also help to have a janitor or board vol around to clean up the occasional low effort troll, like people posting dick pics or just resurrecting dead threads for the sake of empty shitposting. No one checks this daily, so it'd be good to have another set of eyes just in case.
I could check around a mostly female forum I like and see if I can direct a little attention here. The allure of a place with no identities, no names, just posting, is worth the work of breathing life into. I don't think waiting for 8kun as a whole to grow is the right call. What are your thoughts?

Retain and give ban reason on high effort shitposts that have some quality, and retain with ban reason on what looks like genuine posts that just happen to break a rule. The board has a fair number of worthless posts that contribute nothing, and I don't think that helps when it's so obvious they weren't trying to participate, they were just trying to be obnoxious.
