Three part theory of influence:
- 1. Separation: the noetic/spiritual element in oneself must be separated from the psychic element, e.g. through developing greater conscious awareness.
- 2. “Intra-fluence”: the noetic/spiritual element in oneself learns to influence one’s own psyche through a sort of invisible action at a distance, learns to shepherd and guide it, learns what “makes it tick”, gets a feel for how psyche works and how to relate to her (“her” because psyche is the feminine element).
- 3. Influence: from this point it is only a matter of a natural extension of spirit influencing one’s own psyche to spirit influencing another’s psyche. Spirit “bloweth where it listeth”, and physical boundaries are no obstacle to it. One can get a feel for another’s psyche, develop a greater sensitivity to the presence of another’s psyche, and exercise a similar action at a distance over it.
In all of the above, it only a question of degrees of influence, not of “mind-control”. What the “profane” call “mind-control” is simply a very high degree of influence, which generally not only requires that one develop one’s spirit as described above, but also that the person one is influencing give up control to a great degree.
Theoretically speaking, since many disembodied “entities” are precisely of a psychic character (which is to say, in a manner of speaking, that their “substance” is psyche), the above considerations should also apply to them. The power of spirit should also be able to exercise a great deal of influence on their behavior. Legends of wise men like King Solomon who exercised control over “jinn” partly refer to this power of spirit over psychic entities.
