Hi everyone, I’m setting up a complete grooming kit at home (razor, blades, shaving cream, maybe after-shave balm) and I want to make sure I buy wisely. What features should I check (blade durability, skin type compatibility, subscription vs one-time purchases, product refill availability)? Also, any real-world surprises you encountered?

One thing I didn’t consider: how big the handle is and how well it grips when wet. My last kit had a slick handle that slipped during a quick morning shave, leading to nicks. Now I test how solid the handle feels, how easy it is to rinse out hair from the cartridge, and how often I’ll need to buy refills.

While researching different brands I came across several harrys reviews https://harrys.pissedconsumer.com/review.html . From this I realised that just because a razor kit looks well-priced doesn’t mean it suits your beard type or shaving habits. Ask: How many uses do you realistically get from each cartridge? What’s your skin sensitivity? Are the refills easy to find and afford? The reviews above helped me avoid a starter kit that looked great in photos but under-performed in real-life conditions for my skin and beard-growth pattern.
